What are dreams? They are the mind processing the images, memories and emotions that each of us experience. They are unique to the individual and no two persons can ever experience the same dream.
Or so Doctor Charlotte Henson thought when she started treating the enigmatic and charming Michael.
From the best-selling author of The Undead Series comes a gut wrenching tale of twisted and brutal imaginings, a sickening exploration of the depravity the mind can force on a person...The Second Reality....
"He has created a whole new world" "It has some fantastic battle scenes, up there with the Undead ones" "Haywood paints such a clear picture of the scenes and characters in your mind and the relationships between them is brilliantly done." "the story and eloquence in its telling are inspirational." "absolutely loved the story had me hooked from chapter one it has a maturity which I was surprised at"
Warning: This book contains graphic scenes of both a violent and sexual nature and is intended for adults.

Visiting the darker side of RRHaywood in this battle between good and evil
This one really is darker than other books in many ways. It’s evil is depraved and offers no solace. It appears pure evil. Compared to the good people we are introduced to. RRHAYWOOD is fully prepared to destroy a character in unexpected twists that leave you stunned. It’s one of the reasons I love him. His writing is unpredictable in this way. As usual lots of action but less humour in this one which is still there and in places it’s so well written you really feel you are there with them. I feel like this is very much a beginning. It has the feel of an introduction to something bigger. I’ve not given it full stars because that anticipation of something growing is there and I feel the next book needs room in the ratings. Is it as good as the undead or the code series? At this point it’s not easy to judge. Possibly once another book comes out it will be easier to decide. All I can say is this is very much adult reading!! I can’t see this one being made into a series or a film and only by reading will you find out why! I look forward to the next book.
I couldn't believe I have missed this book, thankfully I found it& have read it every moment I had. The story is fab & there is so much banter throughout & even though its a different story & characters it's also really familiar.I have been waiting for the undead 25 & keep looking so I was so chuffed to find this book. RR Haywood is a great storyteller & I love all his books & never want him to stop writing, I will still keep checking for the book 1 book I am waiting on! Also this must be a start of a series as you can't leave it there because there is so much I want to know & so many plots you could write as a storyteller like yourself needs to keep writing. There's so much of the story we don't know, I want to know about all the characters & what happens next.if like me you love his books then get it you should love it,at first I thought I couldn't grasp the story but between the characters patter & the main man I was hooked ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Worldship Humility is an SF novel of brilliance that is as good as hard SF gets - as good as Iain Banks' Culture novels. This isn't. The worst of RRs novels I've read yet by a country mile. A chore to read, badly plotted with an abrupt, unsatisfying ending.
You are better than this RR. In fact, you are a brilliant writer overall. Your other works are a delightful read, full of vivid and complex characters, incisive social comment and dark, mordant humour. Your zombie novels were laugh out loud funny - streets better than the formulaic and unimaginative tripe turned out by most authors.
I think the main problem with this novel is the central "hero" character - Michael. He is a humourless, impassive dork.
The book is ok, a great plot idea with a subpar delivery. I expect better from your books, having said that I get the feeling there is too much flitting about with different stories as it seems that a series is rarely finished. I also wonder if you have a proof reader as the published article is full of grammatical and spelling errors. As an author I rate you very highly, as the ideas you bring to life are amazing, I just wish that they were a bit more thought out, when the ideas are being transferred to paper and then to novel.
One: do NOT read this if you are in any way sensitive, ot is extremely graphic in a very dark way!
Two: This is absolutely littered with typos and grammatical errors, and I know some will really struggle with that, as do I.
However.. this is actually a really very good story, with interweaving plot lines and excellent character definition. Yes, the concept isn't particularly new, but this is still one of the best told tales I've ever read in this area.
Meh.....can tell this is an early Haywood book, can't believe I've only just come across it. Got some of the same tropes you will get in later books around a team being formed, a reluctant leader and some choice old school gender relations. Story is predictable and world building is sluggish compared to his other books. Characters are fairly generic and battle scenes are also meh.
As said I'm comparing this to the undead and extraction books so a little unfair has his craft was still formulating in this one.
After reading this authors other works I thought I'd try this book. I found it surprisingly hard to get into but when I did I absolutely loved it and devoured it like a wrath devouring souls! I've chosen four stars not give only due to the speed a certain character gave up her integrity...that seemed a little unreal but at the end of the day...it is a work of fiction....or is it????
This is difficult to get into the story itself is good so you can forgive that to degree but the lack of proofreading and polishing is annoying as you have to go back and forward working out what it’s meant to say.
This ends abruptly and it appears to the reader it was the start of a series in 2014 and the author hadn’t the interest in finishing the series or even having it edited properly is sad.
I devoured this book within two days. Is like nothing I have ever read before! Extremely well written, the characters are amazingly complex, I can’t wait for the next in the series.
Terribly written,, a puerile mix of sword fantasy, soft porn and gross.horror and appalling grammar. I only finished it because a) I'm a cheapskate and b) I wasn't going to let it beat me. Give it a miss.
Great story but did anyone edit this book? I was sending so many edits in I stopped in the end…. Really interrupted the flow of reading for me. His other books haven’t had this issue.
I took a little while to get hooked but once I did there was no way I was getting loose. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was for the amount of spelling errors I came across, a couple is like oh well but when you are hitting double figures and that's just the ones I noticed then it means the proof reader needs a kick up the backside. Despite this I can't wait to find out where Michael, Eddy, Charlotte and rest go from here.
I have literally just finished this and have just one thing to say - Wow! I struggled a little at the the start and was concerned that it wasn't for me but I couldn't have been more wrong. The book snowballed and gradually I was completely enveloped by the story, characters and concept. You need to read this book.
