No one knew the devastation of those three words more than Faith Winston and five years ago, she endured every one of them. All she wanted was to feel safe and marry the very man who promised to love her and protect her, Ryker Knight.
But growing up in the Nordic Lords Motorcycle Club, she should have known she couldn’t have a happy ending. Instead, her world became a nightmare. The bikers—her family—abandoned her, leaving her to crash without their safety net.
Ryker Knight has spent the last five years consumed with guilt, running from the ghosts that haunt him. That is until his past catches up with him the moment his brother needs his help. Returning home to Jasper Bay, he’s forced to face the same ghosts he was running from. Only to find that the woman he loved is trapped in a hell of her own, entrenched behind enemy lines —and it’s all his fault.
And even though Ryker’s life comes with priorities that he can’t – and won’t - turn his back on, he refuses to leave Jasper Bay until he’s found Faith.
But will she want to return to the life she’s always wanted even if Ryker is no longer capable of giving her what he once promised?

3 stars! ☆☆☆
A guilt-ridden man running from his past.
"I had fucked up. I had frozen and stood there while my dad bled out in front of me due to a bullet I had given him.”
And a woman who has never had a choice in her life.
"What I am, is a body that is bought and used for a man’s pleasure. That’s all I’ll ever be.”
What happens when an old bond that once held them, reignites and they find themselves in the midst of the fight of their lives with secrets and lies surfacing, and devious betrayals and vows for blood now lie in their way to their happily ever after? How will they succumb? Will Ryker be able to save Faith and himself? And will they survive?
"There’s nothing left to save, Ryker.”
"If you come back here again and if you believe Black Death will give you what they claim, people will end up dead…Do you really want more death – more blood – on your hands?”
My thoughts: As much as I wanted to love this read, I just couldn’t. It fell into the “meh” zone as a lot of the story either staggered or seemed redundant.
I literally felt like this most of the time waiting for the book to get a fricken' move on:
It just dragged for my taste and made me feel very disconnected and lethargic.
But, on the bright side though.... it did have a decent enough of plot line which answered all of the questions I wanted to know about Ryker and Faith so it did great in that aspect.
So all in all, an okay read that needed to speed up the ante and story line at times.
This is the second book in this series and it's Ryker and Faiths story, we got their outline in 'Point of Return' and approximately a third of this book overlaps with that which I think worked really well, we get a fuller picture of events which took place and we get to really appreciate the total hell that has been Faiths life. As we know from 'Return' Faith was sold to the Black Death by her mother for their continued protection and supply of drugs, and Faith has endured years of abuse and now believes she's worthless. Ryker had his reasons for just taking off but since he's discovered exactly what's happened to Faith and why he's now a man on a mission but Cain stands in his way, he's not just going to give Faith up but what we don't understand is why, what is it about Faith that makes him treat her so badly, and the question I wanted answering is why did Faith stick around, why not run. I liked this book more than the previous one I suppose that's down mainly to the fact that I liked Ryker and Faith a lot more than I did Olivia and Daemon and I felt more that they were a couple and could work even with the ton of baggage they both have. For me it was difficult to fully buy into Olivia and Daemon's relationship in the last book when they spent so much time with other people, but that wasn't the case here and it made the difference. Faith did have a brief 'idiot' moment but she's not in Olivia's league which again was good. This is looking like it could be a really good, strong series so I'm waiting for the next book which will be Jaden and Jules.
I liked this one much better than book 1 and I can't wait to see what's in store for the Nordic lords MC!
I honestly thought I was going to hate a book where the heroine was a hooked but I loved it.. Maybe because faith was damaged and she despised what she was forced to do?!
Book 2 in the Nordic Lords MC series by Stacy Lynn. This book could be read as a standalone, however I honestly believe that this should be read in the order it was wrote in to get full backstory to the club and these characters.
This is Ryker and Faith's story. I have been waiting to read about them following the teasers we got in Point of Return. Stacey sure hasn't let us down, this is everything you wanted, expected and it is delivered with cherries on the top.
This is a second shot at life and love for Ryker and Faith. Childhood sweethearts, they had big plans for there life together away from Jasper Bay and the Nordic Lords MC that they were both born into. When Faith's father is killed as a traitor, Ryker is by her side, supporting her. He loves her with such an intense passion that he will give his life to protect her. All the love they shared was blown to smithereens one deadly night when Ryker's father and the MC's Presidents wife were fately attacked. Believing that he has killed his father, Ryker goes to the only person that will help him. When he finds her in the arms of another man, Ryker is devastated. Leaving the club, his family, Jasper Bay and Faith behind; Ryker takes off without a backward glance with no intentions to ever return.
5 Years later and Ryker is summoned to return by his brother and now Vice President "D". Leaving the oil rig is easy but leaving his responsibilities is hard. With promises and intention to spend a week helping out the club before returning to New Orleans, Ryker finds himself back in Jasper Bay. What he finds when he arrives devastates him.
Faith was left heart broken when the love of her life deserted her. Faced with unimaginable consequences, Faith finds herself forced into whoring herself. Running the local brothel in town she is completely alienated from the people she called family her whole life. The last 5 years have taken there toll on Faith. Battle scarred and weary, life is a uphill battle and surviving it has sucked every bit of life out of her. When suddenly faced with Ryker's return she erects walls to avoid the pain his presence causes her, but also to avoid the look of disgust and disappointment he will have for her.
Will the truth about that fateful night come to light? Will Ryker and Faith's love for each other still smoulder? but most importantly will they like the person that faces them when all is said and done?
This is such an emotional read for an MC book. Yes there are lots of club politics. Some of this book runs alongside book 1, so we know it's going to be gritty and raw; but this book was just on a whole other level emotionally to book 1. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved book 1 (I gave it 5 stars)but this was definitely more poignant I suppose.
My heart broke for these 2 characters. They lost each other in the most horrific night. They also lost themselves and this really is a story about finding themselves, reconnecting with their friends and family and then forgiving each other for the mistakes and misunderstanding from the past. Their love is a strong one but it is a battle to rediscover it due to the different people they have become. Stacey Lynn's writing ensures that you feel every last one of those emotions, it will make you sick with angst and fluttery with love.
If you love your MC books this is definitely a series to get on board with. The secondary characters are as interesting as the central characters and I cant wait to see where Stacey will take us next. I hope it is in the direction of a certain badass called Jaden.
I just finished Point of Redemption and I really liked it. I'm all for a biker book especially when it is the next in a series! You have to read this in order to get the full effect. Point of Return is the first in the series and it is about Olivia and Daemon. This is about Ryker and Faith. Ryker is Daemons brother and he has been gone for over 5 years. Stuff went down with Ryker and (killing his own dad and watching Olivia just about die) when he goes to see Faith for help, he sees her making out with the Nordic's nemesis. He leaves and one day Daemon calls his brother for help. He doesn't want to come back but needs to help his brother. He sees Faith and he still loves her but cannot help but hate her for cheating on him. Things are not always as they seem. Faith wasn't cheating on him. Her mother sold her to the enemies for her drug fix. When Ryker finds out, he is heartbroken. Faith has to do what she can to survive. When the wrongs are acknowledge become right? You will have to see.
I really liked this follow up. You knew reading Point of Return that there were some secrets that were going to come out. Stacey did a good job sticking with the story line and since they intertwine was able to follow easily. It was also good reading it because you get to see Olivia and Daemon and where they are in their life together. Also reading more about Jules, Jaden, and Finn. Newbies with Meg and Brayden are sure to make it more interesting I think!
Ryker is a hottie. What I love most is his loyalty. Always keeping a promise and always being there no matter what. Yes, he left Faith but what he should have done was asked questions but when you are in the moment and things are crazy, I understand why he didn't. I really liked Faith. Such a sweet girl, she honestly had to do what she could to survive. I felt bad for her. They both make mistakes and it is all up to owning them that makes it better. I can say that the chemistry between them is hot and loved their sexual tension. FIRE!
If you are looking for a biker book that is dirty, gritty and real. Then this one is for you!
Reviewed by Beggin (Shay) from Mommys a Book Whore
It took me a while to get into this story, but only because I hadn't read the first book in the series so I was a bit lost on the background story of the characters (but will be remedied as I have already purchased the first book). Once I got past that, the story seemed to flow just fine; I liked the dual POV of narration. One of the things I liked about this story is that Ryker and Faith grew up together and fell in love as teenagers, so there wasn't that whole unbelievable "insta-love" in this book.
Instead, from the prologue, what started out as a terrible night, became even more tragic and horrific, along with misperception and all that adds up to is five years of the worst heartbreak, deception and cruelty that simply should never have happened. However, one thing that stood out about this story is that it didn't take the majority of the book for Ryker to understand what really happened to Faith; he found out relatively early and had no choice to accept that because of his actions and beliefs, he had an indirect hand in what eventually ended up happening to Faith.
Overall, I enjoyed this book; it was refreshing (if that's even possible in a MC story) that Ryker owned up to what he did 5 years ago and how the consequences of his actions affected his woman. And even after everything that Faith endured, she wasn't totally broken in spirit. I would have preferred that we didn't have to read about the club spending that much time on finding Cain; I would have liked to learn more about the deal with the Sporelli faction. The ending was cute (especially reading about Sophie), but now I want to know who the next book will be about, as well as Meg's mysterious phone call.
Two people have suffered. Faith was sold by her addict mother to a motorcycle club to be used as a whore in exchange for drugs. Five years ago, Faith was in love with her fiancé Ryker who left town and broke all the promises her made her. Ryker left town after accidentally killing his father and believing that Faith betrayed him. He has returned at his brother's request to assist in some serious matters facing the MC his family was a part of and those close to his brother. When he sees that the woman he still loves is being abused and enslaved, he fights to correct the wrongs of the past five years and get her back with him where she belongs.
This book picks up where we are left after Point of Return. We learn more about both Faith and Ryker's past and then get to see a couple bits of the story we know from Point of Return from their perspectives. It is obvious that both Faith and Ryker are both sad and furious about how their lives went in directions they didn't want and never expected. It is also obvious that they both love each other a lot. It was nice to see Ryker try so hard to get Faith out of trouble and take his time to let her make her own decisions. It was good to see Faith be helped by people who care about her and risked a lot to make sure she was safe. There is all kinds of high drama here that can be expected from the lifestyles these people lead. They are rough and tough and do some crazy things, but it is hard not to get caught up in their stories and cheer them on. It was nice to touch base with Liv and Daemon again and to see what their lives look like now. This book was a nice sequel to the first in the series and I look forward to reading the next book. 3.5 stars.
*An ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review.
I haven't read the first of these books, and unlike my co-blogger decided not to. I jumped into the story fairly quickly and never felt I was missing out, although I know she was happier having read book one. In other words you can or you can't, it won't affect your enjoyment of the story.
One stupid mistake, a wrong assumption, and the aftermath is horrific. Faith is one hell of a strong character, I'll give her that. I wanted to like Ryker, he's a good guy after all, but I was so disappointed at the decision he makes at the start of the book. That said, there wouldn't have been a story without it.
Good plot, good characters, not a cliffhanger ending but enough go a tease that you'll want to read book three. And yes, I do want to read book three because I really enjoyed this one.
Rough, raw, gritty and quite nerve wrecking. Yowzers!!
This book made my heart hurt. Watching Faith and what she had to go through, these past 5 years, was very hard. I wanted to reach in a grab her and RUN FAST. This poor girl. The heartache and physical pain had to be excruciating.
Ryker has been gone for 5 years and doesn't really wanna be back, but once he sees Faith, and hears what happened to her, there is no way he can walk away from her again.
Their romance was definitely not typical, but it was very explosive. I LOVED it!!!
I also liked how there is a set up for future books. I can't wait!!
The love story of Faith and Ryder. Ryder has been away from the club for over five years when he left he blame himself for shooting his father. Faith was sold by her mother to the Black Death MC five yeats ago. She was in love with Ryder and when he left he thought she had move on to a new man. Can he save her? Great story.
This was another good read in the series. This is a second chance for Ryker. A tragedy and a misunderstanding broken his heart but when he comes face to face with his past all was not as it seemed.
Point of Redemption is the second book in the Nordic Lords MC series by Stacey Lynn, but this book can be read as a standalone. I would suggest reading these in order though as the overall story continues from book to book and you really get to see how things progress with not only the couples, but the club in general. It isn't necessary though and you can still understand everything you need to in order to enjoy this book without having read Point of Return. I will admit that after reading the first book in this series I was really looking forward to Ryker's story, but I was a bit worried after I had some issues with the first one. This book was much better in my opinion though than the first book and I really ended up enjoying the story.
When his brother Daemon calls needing his help, Ryker heads back home after being gone for five years. Ryker hasn't seen his brother or the town they grew up in since the night everything went bad for them. Ryker has spent the last five years distancing himself from the club and dealing with the guilt from what happened that night, but he never forgot the girl that he loved even if she betrayed him. Upon arriving back in town, Ryker finds out that Faith has been living in a hell of her own since he left and has been forced into a life with the enemy. Ryker sets out to rescue Faith while helping his brother and the club out. When things take a turn for the worst, Ryker must balance his commitments back in New Orleans while also dealing with everything in Jasper Bay. Can Ryker get Faith back and show her that they can still have the life they dreamed of together even if they are different than they used to be? Or will there have been too much damage done to move forward together?
I liked Ryker a lot in Point of Return, and I loved him even more in this book. He was a really great guy and he took care of those that he cared about. I liked that he was an alpha that wanted to protect and claim his girl, but he wasn't a jerk or overly controlling. Ryker had a ton of guilt from not only what had happened with his father, but also with his friend in New Orleans. I felt so bad for him, and it was good to see him start to heal and realize that he wasn't to blame for everything that had happened. I also liked Faith a lot. I felt like we didn't really get to know much about her in Point of Return, so it was really nice to learn more about her. She had been through a lot as well, and despite everything that she had been through she was so strong. She sacrificed so much of herself for her mom when her mom didn't deserve any of it. It really showed how great she was and that she was really loyal. I liked that Faith was able to see that Ryker had made mistakes in the past, but that she understood what had happened and didn't blame him. Ryker and Faith had a lot of chemistry and attraction, but they also had such a strong emotional connection that time and distance hadn't changed. You could really see the love between them and I was glad that they were able to move forward after everything that could have come between them.
Overall, I thought that this book was really good. In my opinion this book was a lot better than the first book, and I felt like the story was really true to the characters in this one. I thought that Ryker and Faith belonged together, and it was good to see them find their way back to each other. I felt like there were a few times in this story that were a bit slow though, and I kept waiting for things to pick up. But I thought that the relationship between Ryker and Faith was really well done and kept my my interest even through the slower parts. I am liking this series, and I am really curious about what will happen next after the ending of this book. I thought that the ending did a great job of setting up interest for one of the characters that we met in this story, and I can't wait to get to know her better. I would recommend this series to fans of MC romance books, and I think that a lot of NA fans will really enjoy these stories. I can't wait to read the next book in the series, and I look forward to reading more from Stacey Lynn in the future.
I would definitely say that what Faith and Ryker has is an epic love. Having grown up together they were each other’s first and only loves, when they were old enough Ryker finally got Faith to agree to marry him and they had dreams of a happy future together. Then one night changed all of that resulting in Ryker leaving town and Faith being sold to a rival club, leaving both to think they had been betrayed by the other. Five years later and Ryker returns to town to help his brother and he learns of what Faith’s life has become, he instantly knows he needs to get her free and has no choice but to return home to get back the woman he still loves. It is clear from the first time they see each other again after 5 years that there is still love between them and you know they are meant to be. I really liked following their journey back to one another.
I fell in love with Ryker in Point of Return (I mean come on, any guy, particularly a big bad biker, who gets down to play blocks with a 2yr old will win me over every time!) and was excited to get more of him in this book. He’s carrying around a lot of guilt over what happened to his father, then his friend’s death on the oil rig and later over what’s become of Faith’s life. But all of that guilt makes him extremely loyal and wanting to do the right thing. I really liked his relationship with Meg and Brayden, he was so incredibly sweet and caring with Brayden and he needed Meg’s presence in his life to help talk some sense in him to go back and fight for Faith. Once he learned the truth of what happened the night he left Faith, he vows to do whatever he can to make it right and win her back. I loved this loyalty and possessiveness. He was so tender with Faith as she began to heal from her whole ordeal, it totally melted my heart.
Faith’s circumstances broke my heart, she was so defeated and broken, my heart just went out to her (The truth was… sometimes life gave people lemons, and they made lemonade. Life gave me a handful of rinds, seeds, and pulp, and I made the most of the crap hand I was dealt). She doesn’t know what to think when Ryker shows up on his white horse to save her, she doesn’t want to lose him again but she’s afraid that after all she’s been through that there just isn’t anything left to give anyone (“I get it, you know,” she said softly as she reached the doorway. “I get why you were messed up and why you left. You don’t owe me an apology. But for years I waited for you to show up and save me.” A tear fell down her cheek before she wiped it away. “There’s nothing left to save, Ryker.”). But as the story went on I think Faith found that she is stronger than she gave herself credit for. It was great watching her regain her spirit and start to live again, I really felt her transformation.
I liked how the timeline of the story started towards the middle of the events in Point of Return, it was cool being able to see some of the events from a different point of view and filling in the blanks of some of the events from the last book (like when Ryker made an appointment to see Faith when she was still working at Penny’s). It overlapped but didn’t feel repetitive. This could be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading Point of Return first because a lot happens with Liv and Daemon, including the awesome epilogue that might spoil the first book for you if you haven’t read it.
I thought the first book was good, but I thought this book was even better and I look forward to seeing what in store next for the Nordic Lords and their women!

To Redeem: to set free; rescue or ransom; to save from a state of sinfulness and its consequences
For Ryker and Faith, the main characters in Stacey Lynn’s newest release Point of Redemption, the idea of being redeemed is a complicated idea. One sees himself as the man who went back on a promise…the man who, when things got tough, ran away without understanding everything that went down…the man who took innocent lives. And, while all of those statements may be true, Ryker’s also the man who wants to free the girl he lost and show her that she’s not the woman she was forced to become. The other sees herself as a pawn…a woman who is forced to use her body as payment…a woman who has nothing to give to anyone because everything’s already been taken away from her. But, Faith is also the woman who wants to be loved and saved by the one man who promised her the world.
Ryker and Faith’s road to redemption is not going to be an easy one. Not when a rival MC owns Faith, and the shame and regret they both have has been eating away at them for the last 5 years. But readers also know, just from a bit of insight in Book 1, that both Ryker and Faith are extremely strong characters who will fight like hell to protect those they love, and now more than ever, they need to step up for themselves and each other and save one another from the bad hands they’ve been dealt.
Ryker is a complicated man; his demons taunt him on a daily basis, and no matter how much he tries to put his life in Jasper Bay behind him, it still has a strong hold on him, and when Daemon needs him to come home, Ryker decides it’s time to stop running and face the past that torments him. Because readers get his first hand perspective, it’s easy to see the battle he’s having within himself as he tries to right his wrongs with not only Faith but Byron’s family as well. He’s tearing himself in two trying to be everything to everyone, but what he doesn’t realize is that he just needs to be the man Faith fell in love with and the friend to Meg and Brayden he promised to be. It’s a beautiful sight when Ryker takes back the control and does what he needs to do in order to feel redeemed. Ryker is such a great character; he’s passionate and fierce; protective and loyal, and to see how he transforms from the beginning of the text until the end is a great sight to behold.
Faith…she’s been dealt a crap hand in life, and she did the best she could to survive it. I can’t blame her for wanting to give up or putting on a front to protect herself. She’s been beaten physically and mentally for a lot of years, and she has nothing left to give anyone. To be able to get past what she’s had to endure is going to take a lot of help from those who truly love her; thankfully, Ryker and Liv will be there to help her every step of the way, so as long as she’s willing to accept the help and heal, she’ll make it out on the other end stronger and whole.
Point of Redemption is a fantastic story about love, forgiveness, and recovery. Faith and Ryker’s relationship is at the heart of the text, but the book also focuses on the Nordic Lords themselves and the steps they need to take to put their club back on track and rid themselves of at least one enemy. The story is gritty, raw, heartbreaking, and steamy; it’s a second chance romance that includes action and angst, and I can’t wait for the next installment.

Oh My Nordic Lords!! Stacey Lynn has done it again with this second book in the Nordic Lords MC series. I absolutely did not think that I could love two characters more than Daemon and Liv from the first book, but I was wrong. I love Ryker and Faith just as much or even more. I actually am loving all of the Nordic Lords and I can only hope that Jaden and Finn will get their own stories too.
So we met Ryker and Faith in the first book and we know that Faith was sold into whoredom by her crap-tastic druggie of a mother. We also know that Ryker had ran from Jasper Bay five years earlier only to return to a gigantic cluster f*ck. I am pretty sure that I loved Ryker in Point of Return when I saw how he treated Liv and had his brothers back. I only grew to love him more in this book. He is one sexy, bad ass, loyal, protective, and so damn sweet biker when it came to Faith. You can not help but fall in love with the man that Ryker is, when you finally learn all of the burdens he is carrying and the responsibilities that he shoulders. Stacey did another fantastic job writing a male POV which sometimes the male POVs tend to fall a little short...Ryker's did not.
Let me get to Faith. She is such a strong woman to have been dealt the crap life she had and still come out on the other side. She felt so alone and lost from circumstances out of her control. She felt unloved and basically beat the f*ck down. Her character is one that you can immediately connect with and understand her reasons for giving up on her life. I really enjoyed watching her grow so strong during this book with the help of Liv, Ryker and Jules. I really liked the relationship that her and Ryker shared. You could feel the love and desire between the two and it was super freaking steamy.
Just because this book is a romance does not mean that there is no action or bad ass parts, because there are. What I like most about this series is that it isn't filled with your typical hard core bikers calling all of their women bitches and ho's. I mean there are old ladies and bunnies but it isn't so harsh. No don't think that this series is fluffy and light with sugar and spice and everything nice. There is plenty of gory action and at times a tad descriptive, but it is so damn awesome. There is blood, guts, gore, guns, drugs, whores and abusive sinister f*ckers in this series. It might not be as dark as most MC books but it definitely holds its own and I can not wait for more. This series is a must read if you like romance and bikers. The Knight brothers are very pleasurable to read and I am pretty damn sure the other members of the Nordic Lords will have stories equally awesome.
Ryker left his hometown after a disastrous night that chattered the world he lived in--in the MC and his personal life. Now he lives his life with no romantic entanglements and no complications. At least not until his brother calls him for help. It is then that he finds the mess he left behind has grown even more complicated and it centers around the one woman he never managed to forget.
Faith's life hasn't been the same since Ryker left town. Her life is a living hell that she has no hope to escape. She lives in fear of her mother's life and her own while drowning in the guilt she carries because of how she must live her life to survive. Not even having Ryker back in town soothes her fears--she's that far gone.
I admit that it's my own fault for not loving this story, mainly because I came into it with great expectations after meeting Ryker in the Point of Return. That said, I still think that it was a very good story even if I didn't love it.
I think my main problem with this story was the fact that although the connection between the characters was made apparent, I didn't get to experience it first-hand. Much of the time I was told about it and those few times when I got to experience it weren't enough for me to become emotional invested in Ryker and Faith's relationship.
That's not to say that the story lacked romance. Stacey Lynn brought that element forth while still maintaining the darkness surrounding Faith's life and the MC world she was a part of. I liked that she kept that aspect of the story intact even when she brought in the intense and often times emotional moments that took place between Ryker and Faith.
Another element that helped to keep me interested in the story was how the conflict was played out. I liked the twists and turns that Stacey Lynn brought to the story as well as the answers to previous questions. She managed to maintain my curiosity as the story unfolded, which in and of itself is a great feat considering I wasn't vested in the romance that was taking place.
All in all, an intense read that shed light into Faith and Ryker's past relationship and helped to move the series along.
*I received a copy of this title in exchange of my honest opinion.
