Christmas Eve, Eve

Rate this book
I had one job—get to the meeting, pitch my company, and win the contract. Simple, right? Except, the universe had other plans.

On my way to a small town in Wyoming, in the middle of a snowstorm, my truck breaks down outside the fully booked Ridgewood Inn. No rooms, no way out, and no chance of making it to that interview.

Then I meet Eve. She’s in town for a wedding, surrounded by her family, who are all too eager to assist. Accepting their help is the only thing I can do, if I want to save my family business.

I’ve never felt an instant connection like this before and can’t deny how sparks fly every time I’m near Eve. When she offers to get me to my meeting, I’m reminded, for once, I don’t have to do everything alone.

One catastrophe after another, forces me to stay at the inn longer than planned. The more time I spend with Eve, the harder it is to imagine walking away. But we live in different worlds, and this is a temporary situation... isn’t it?

Will the best-laid plans go awry for all the right reasons? Or will the magic of the Ridgewood Inn melt away with the snow?

Chris Reilly has loved reading from as early as she can remember and would spend hours letting her imagination run wild. She was born and raised in Liverpool, UK and still lives in her favorite city with her son and their two cats.

She spent the majority of her 20’s/30’s reading thrillers, but made the switch to romance when she picked up a book called ‘Dirty Letters’ and loved it and the authors so much, she went looking for more. Reading Indie Romance became her passion and she was inspired by these amazing authors and decided to put her writing hobby to the test.

A 'Happily Ever After' is always the goal for her characters, but there may be a cliffhanger or two, and definitely some angsty situations to work through, occasionally a little bit dark, but oh so delicious.

It's no secret that I'm no novella fan, but Christmas is the exception 😁
And honestly, this book doesn't feel that short anyway.
It's a wonderful and cute story. 🩷 It's definitely Hallmark-ish.

There is so much love. I mean, obviously, because Eve is with her family to celebrate a destination wedding. Normally, brides want it warm. Sunny. Maybe even the beach... But not Ashlynn, Eve's cousin/best friend. She loves Christmas and snow 😁
I don't think I need to say what will happen with this combination 🙈
And because the groom is a firefighter, all his firefighter friends are there too... OMG, I mean, we all know men can be very huge kids, but this bundle of firefighters 🙈🙈🙈 Just 🐂💩 in their brains. But it's so funny 🤣

Even though Dash doesn't belong to them, he is a complete stranger, but he fits in perfectly. I loved how fast they all just pulled him into everything.

And yes, there is drama in the book too. I mean, doesn't every book need a bit of it? Especially when so much family comes together 😎
But still light-hearted and nothing too much.

Gets you in the mood for Christmas and more

You find love when you’re least expecting too.
I really enjoyed reading about Dash and Eve and how their relationship grows. The characters are all so believable in the book and you do end up caring about them and wanting their relationship to work out. This book is captivating and perfect writing as always from Chris Reilly.
One of my favourite characters is Ashlynn. It is her wedding and she loves everything Christmas so why wouldn’t you want to get married on Christmas Eve.
I just loved this book.
Would also love to visit Noel Springs at Christmas time, I really hope this town is real and it would make a great Christmas movie

A nice and quick Christmas Romance, that definitely gives you all the feels.

I was invested from beginning to end, and the way it was written made me feel I was actually there and part of the story. Loved the connection between Eve and Dash.

Wyoming is a place I have always wanted to visit, and even more so now, since reading this book.

Would definitely recommend this book, especially for those of you that likes a bit of spice in you life.
