‘Crossing Lines’ is another novel I can highly recommend by Nick Kisella. It was much shorter than the other two novels I read by him but it wasn’t short on action or character development. I like the way he writes people. It was very fast paced, and I ended up reading it in one sitting because it was a page-turner. It’s listed as a prequel, but it read like a stand-alone story.

The main character is a kid, a teenager, and I only recognized one other character in it from ‘The Beasts and the Walking Dead’. I thought the main character and the way he dealt with his survival situation was really great, which leads me to believe that if a zombie apocalypse ever happened I’d be looking for kids to stay with while the dead roamed around. I liked the ending even though it pissed me off. I won’t give it away, just see for yourself.

Crossing Lines is not a standard 'zombie story'. The story revolves around a young boy and how he's survived on his own after the apocolypse. Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. When I got to the ending, I was shocked, a little angry, and a little upset. A story has to be very well written to suck me in and get me to feel the things I felt when I read it.
