Not really a fan of this short story. Thankfully it was short. It just seemed too cheesy to me. I think it would have been funny at the end if Mitch had come back and confessed he still loved Hollie and all that, and changed his mind about leaving. Sorry but the fact that she goes out and ends up having sex, the day after he leaves, after telling her that he hadn't cheated on her? Sorry but not believable in my opinion.

Questions/Comments:

Was this the authors first time writing a sex story before? Just wondering because she used so many different words for penis.

Hollie thinking of last party she'd been to, Mitch's work party where she had to stay sober. Yes, because you can't go to a party without drinking alcohol.

Dione is too much. She was really pushy when it came to the swingers party they were invited to. Yes, it's nice that she was being supportive and trying to cheer Hollie up, but basically pressuring her to stay at the party? Not a fan. The fact that Dione was telling her that she didn't have to actually have sex/make out with anyone? What a joke! Yes, because you'd go to a swinger aka sex party to just sit around. Better yet when Dione and Karly go off with men, Dione tells Hollie to stick around? Right...that wouldn't make her feel more awkward.

When Hollie is contemplating whether or not she's ready to change....seriously? It's been what? Like less than 24 hours since Mitchell left.

Sorry but when Hollie unknowingly puts her hand on Carmine's crotch, why do I not believe she would have actually done that? Not to mention when they start making out and eventually have sex?

Considering how uncomfortable Hollie was suppose to be at the party, I could maybe.....very small maybe....imagine she'd actually get caught up in the moment and have sex, again maybe. But wouldn't you kinda lose that sense of whatever when you leave the party and go back to your room? I mean Hollie didn't sound like a prude or anything but no. I'd imagine they'd get back to her room and the 'moment' would be gone.

"The smell of my arousal was thick and aromatic." Um..Barf!

"Brief encounter -21st century"

A short burst of pure escapism. Not really much of a story line.

Her friends decide to go to vegas. She not sure what to do, but decides to go on his dime and try to relax and think things thur. She got so much more then that.

HFN..

This is a serial with a happy for now ending though Incomplete. All three parts could have easily been written into a novella instead of 3 short stories.

Escape to Vegas was a very good read. HAd a very good storyline. It ended way too soon. Almost like a cliff hanger in a way.

This is the 1st book I read by Kelly Young. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I also felt sorry for Hollie. This story didn't have much of a story line & the story line that it did have it was okay.
