Jun Karentia was a top player in The Sacred War, but when she finds herself in the body of one of the game's characters, she vows to guide the protagonist to victory. But everything changes when her second playthrough starts, and she's surrounded by fellspawn, doomed to perish—until Mayer Knox, the Dark Knight and game's final boss, saves her. To her shock, Mayer isn't just saving her life; he’s offering her a position as his second-in-command.
Accepting his offer, Jun quickly realizes that serving as Mayer’s right-hand woman is more complicated than she imagined. He becomes overly protective, making it harder for her to do her job. Meanwhile, rumors swirl about her being the Dark Knight’s lover, throwing her loyalty into question. Can she manage her new role, and what lies beneath Mayer’s complicated affection?
91%-“As Julieta went ham at a dummy, whacking away…” that just made me LAUGH. Oh I love this series so much!!
Adding to this review above this point.
I am DOWN with this series. LOVE the MC h and the MC H is just a bit ole’ cinnamon roll in the body of a scary bear. Story is great and TAKE DOWN FABIAN GIRL!! Betrayed by the hero?!? Oh HECK NO.
5, why is the second volume SOOOOO far away in coming, stars.

I 100% did not know what to expect since I'm more used to the isekai/regression fantasy romance novels and this one is more adventure/romance (more of a slow burn?). But I was pleasantly surprised by how the logic of the game was explained.
But if the summary sounds interesting, definitely check it out!
The main heroine transmigrated into a game has Jun a character in the hero’s party. Unfortunately for the heroine Jun is not that important, but she makes her a great character with her gamer knowledge. When she has transmigrated she helps the hero but is under appreciated and mistreated.the first book goes over this along with a twist.
The video game must be played twice to get the true ending. So the book actually begins with Jun going through her second Play through. The hero has abandoned her thinking he already has all her knowledge and instead of rescuing her goes to get a magical item to boost his abilities.
Luckily Jun only gave him information about the first play through so he has no idea that because this is the second play through a lot of things would have changed.
She is saved by the final boss. so her new plan is joining the final boss and helping him and his party to defeat the demon Lord, and to make him the hero instead. Only Jun, the hero and the final boss remember the first play through.
The first book is just setting up the story and explaining the world. It has a lot of nice world building and getting to introduced to the characters.
The second book goes into more details about Jun’s plan to help the final boss defeat the demon lord and we also get some more insight into the characters such as the final boss and A character that had betrayed the final boss to join the heroes party.
I just wish there was some more adventuring, and less content about how the misunderstandings are happening about the rest of the characters thinking jun is the final boss’ lover. But I guess it has to be there because of the title of the novel.
I would like book 3 to go into more details about when the characters went into dungeons, and to see more fighting scenes when the characters fight monsters in the dungeons. In this book they only go into two dungeons.
In any case the book was enjoyable and I am looking forward to book 3.
This book is an isekai fantasy adventure with a female protagonist. There is some awkward sentence structure in places but not enough to ruin the reading experience. It appears to be genuinely the product of translating the novel into english.
Overall the story moves quickly and pulls you along. This is a minimum 3 part series. This first novel is pretty much all setup. The characters are engaging. There is something that hints at a possible romantic element but that is not very clear at all. Rather it's about the female protagonist trying to earn her place in an adventuring guild or corp in a world where the game is now a world. The protagonist is certain that this is a real world and not the game but there are still things that carryover from the game that they are familiar with. And yet there are differences that make the protagonist believe that they can change the fate of the world and the game protagonist. I'm interested in seeing how this plays out. I definitely consider this a good Isekai litrpg story.
I enjoyed this story with all of the characters within. The main characters were Jun Karentai and Grand Duke Mayer Knox.
A girl from the human world is playing a game. While in the game she is Jun Karentai that is a lowly support mage. In the first games something happened to her. Now she playing again and with all that she learn she ready to win. The only problem is that she has to join the Dark Knight now instead of the group that she was with the first time.
Grand Duke Mayer Knox is the leader of the Dark Knights and the secret final boss. When his group is clearing a dungeon they meet up with Jun Karentai. She is in need of help after helping her he wants her to join their group but she doesn't want to.
This was a fun story to read. It had action, adventure, suspense and drama throughout. It had a few giggles within.
I received a complimentary copy via Netgalley and Booksprout. This is my honest unbiased opinions.
The story was good. I liked the plot overall. But it felt a bit bogged down. There wasn't any action and I wanted a little more depth in the characters. It felt like there was very little progress in the narrative for the length. But this is vol 1 so hopefully there will be more development in the next book.
I understand that a lot of world building is required. And I did like the idea and like the characters. I like how every one seems to be feeling each other out. But there was a fair amount of info dumping. I assume at least partially because Jun is hiding so much there isn't a safe way for some of it to be revealed. But the same things would be discussed over and over. I wish it could have been tightened up a bit.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is pretty close to the definition of average, but it was amusing enough to keep reading the series. Considering that was what I expected, it's living up to my expectations 😆
I will give it credit for the fact that the female lead is actually competent and legitimately becomes an indispensable part of the group not just because she has access to information no one else has, but for effectively using it. She still has the obliviousness to the romance side of things common in these types of stories though.
The story also gets unexpectedly serious at times and deals with heavy topics like assorted traumas and struggling with how to handle knowing when people died in a previous time loop and being forced to let it happen again. It's not anything extreme, but more serious than the premise implies.
A Jun, bichinha, amo tanto!!
Duque Knox reizinho do meu coração ❤
Tenho uma queda por MLs grandes e fortes que ficam idiotas por protagonistas shehsushsu!!! E respeitam!!!!! Mais importante ainda!!!!
This is a great start to a series! The characters are complex, interesting and interact with each other in realistic and hilarious ways. The story is a slow burn but I love that, because it really gives you a chance to feel and connect with the characters. I'm excited to read the next part and there are so many plot points that were set up in this volume that I'm eager to see play out! I can't wait to see the characters interact again, can't wait to see more of the world's interesting magic system, and I'm desperately waiting for the entrance (and hopeful end) to a certain character. Loved this!
Its just so damn cliche. Its the same dialogue that I had heard, the same monologue, the same excuses and reasons that "this is not a game, its real life" and "as a game, I'm invincible muahahaha". Even the worldbuilding is copy pasted from so many otogame and isekai's that I did a double take because I keep expecting different names so very often.
Its a terrible, shallow and unimaginative work. The worst case of redundancy.
This really gives you a good taste for the story. The beginning is easily graspable for those familiar with this kind of fantasy genre. The worldbuilding is interesting. The insight and found comprehension on how some characters are as they are is great... I cant wait for the next volume.
I like the Isekai reincarnation and time reversal with game mechanics combo. For a romance, this is "extra virgin" and I'm good with that 😊 because the flow of story hooks you right in. I forget that it's a romance fantasy until the Grand Duke overreacts *lol* Characters are very well developed and I already like the Jun+Mayer couple.
This was a fun web novel. I read it on Tappytoon and I really enjoyed it. Jun and Mayer's relationship was consistently amusing, sweet, and entertaining. I also enjoyed Jun's interactions with the rest of the cast, as well as the overarching plot aside from the romantic elements (which became much stronger in the second half of the web novel). 4 stars! Recommended.
I enjoyed this book it is engaging and has a very clever heroine she uses her abilities to the best advantage and the dark knight is a truly great character
