Love the idea of this Blue Collar turned Billionaire series... This installment was based on revenge and it caused some icky moments. In the end all things worked out but it was a very bumpy road. The highlight is the tease of the other family members and their upcoming journeys... I will be looking forward to those.

I found this book really irritating. I have been known to enjoy the "you done me wrong so I'm gonna humiliate you as payback" trope but I didn't think it worked here.
Like, first off, I didn't buy that she'd actually done him wrong. She broke up with him when they were teens. Big whoop. Hurt feelings are enough for total destruction revenge? Please. Get over your butthurt, assface.
And the waffling? Good god, I couldn't handle the waffling. He's an asshole. He's not an asshole. Nope, he's an asshole again. Lather, rinse, and repeat. Sigh.
It was rushed, weird, didn't flow, made me roll my eyes......I could go on but I'm gonna stop there.
NOOOOOOO JUST NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I will say this book has caught me when I'm in a funk, so some may like it more than me. Right now I'm in the mood for character development and I didn't get that here.
So I will be moving on to the book now......hopefully the next one will work better for my mood!
Finn is about a man named ... you guessed it ... Finn. Now, Finn is quite wealthy due to a new inheritance. He uses this inheritance to make his old flame's life a living hell. Well, that was the plan anyway. Things don't work out quite the way that he intended and you follow Finn and Rissa on this rollercoaster of a relationship as they rediscover themselves and each other.
You know, I was really intrigued by the summary for this one. Buying revenge? It sounded almost like a romantic suspense. Which it is not. Before I get into all of that, there are a few good things. I liked the characters for the most part. And I liked the camaraderie between Finn and his brothers. I thought that added a bit to the story line.
But. I think that there were too many subplots going on with this book. There were like 15 other things going on other than the main storyline. It was just too much. Not that there was too much information and you're just inundated but with so many different things going on, not enough attention was given to the main plots. I think that if just a couple of them were chosen then the story would have been stronger and it would have grabbed (and kept) my attention. I just got a little tired of such vague situations and anticlimaxes. Where the climax of the story should have been was actually just a "meh" little victory.
I had such high hopes for this book and this whole series. I had actually put all of this series on my To Read list but I fear that I may have to change that. This book wasn't badly written, it was just a bit fragmented and lackadaisical with the story line. If you like a slower paced book, this may be for you. It's just not a good fit for me.
I'm sorry to say this was not my favorite M. Malone story. I felt the author rushed through this book without taking the care to dot the "i" and cross the "t" sort to speak. The premise of the story is good it just needs a bit of tweaking in my opinion. What saved this book for me was the character Tara- everyone needs a friend like her.
Oh to be a book billionaire and have nothing better to do with your time than plan to get revenge from your ex. Finn, dude, you need to get a life and maybe I don't know stop acting like a wounded teen? And Marissa... it was nice to have a not so good girl heroine for once, that's all.

These Marshall boys area force to be reckoned with! Finn is book 2 in the Blue-Collar Billionaires series and it's all about Finn Marshall. Finn is a hard man. He's on a mission of revenge and nothing is going to stop him. HA!, that's what he thinks ;) So many moons ago, Marissa left Finn for a richer guy. At the time, Finn wasn't the billionaire he is today. His wealth is new and it came as an inheritance. Today, Finn is an injured veteran both physically and mentally. And now that he's at home he wants answers from Marissa and he plans on doing whatever he's gotta do to get those answers. Marissa is pulling herself up by the boot straps and making a name for herself after throwing her life away on someone who wasn't who he said he was. She made a HUGE error in her past and has been living the guilt and shame inside ever since. They both have to learn to trust~to face their pasts and accept the future. This was a sweet, loving story. It will make you feel good inside and maybe shed some tears along the way. It's about second chances. It's about love, family and friendship.
DON'T miss out on this exceptional story and series!
when you need to be shown the truth? You go home. That is just what Minx has done once again. She has brought us home to our family and friends. She pulls us in with a love so deep and tears so harsh. I find myself crying, laughing and sighing. Finding myself tied up with a story so real I have to remind myself it's just another fantastic offering by one of my favorite authors. Get lost in Minx's world and live for a while. You won't be disappointed.
I found Finn petty and childish. He was so mad at Rissa for things that happened while they were younger. It was petty how he tried to destroy her. Now Rissa won me over with her work. She made something of her life. Enough said not a fan of Finn.
This book was just "too much", as in there was too much going on. Let's see, we have: revenge plot, second chance romance. On it's own, I'm in. But we also have the asshole ex-boyfriend, Finn's drug addiction, Rissa's insecurities, Finn trying to bond with Luke, Finn dealing with his estranged dad and also dealing with his mom's cancer, etc. Again, just too much. None of the plots seemed well developed enough because we were jumping from one to the next too often.
I did like Rissa. My only complaint about her was that she let Finn treat her horribly. He's vowed revenge on her because she broke his heart. When they were teenagers. Like, the dude seriously needed to get over himself. Finn was a known flirt, and gave a lot of attention to other women. Then he enlisted in the military. Rissa, being a teenager, thought she wouldn't be enough for him. So she chose the "safe" choice, Andrew. Finn thinks she chose Andrew because of Andrew's money. Rissa gives him zero reasons to assume this. Andrew is rich, therefore that must be why Rissa chose him. I didn't much think that Finn deserved her after spending years thinking that she was a gold digger. While Rissa chose Andrew for stability, it didn't seem like it was about money. Again, there was no indication of this other than Finn's feelings.
Finn's revenge plot is to basically own Rissa. She has a cleaning company. He hires her company, giving her a job that her company really needs. He then does childish things like put women's underwear and condoms out for her to find. Then he runs completely hot and cold with her, playing with her emotions. But the final straw for me was when he does something that would literally cost her her business, and then he's just like "oops. my bad" and she fucking forgives him! His revenge against her would have also caused her two business partners to lose their business. And he is supposed to have done all of this research on Rissa, so one has to assume he also knows that she employees people who really need a job. She tells him early on how she tries and help people and that some of her employees are struggling, single moms. And the dude is just like "fuck those people who need this job. I've got money and my high school girlfriend broke my heart, so they can all suffer." Yes, Rissa points this out to him one time, but then just easily forgives him.
I just couldn't get behind this "hero". Which sucked. This book has been out for a long time, and it's sat on my Kindle for nearly as long. I'm trying to read my backlog this year, and I was excited to get to this series. I'm hoping the next few will be more of a win for me.

Finn and his brother Tank grew up poor. He met Rissa at the trailer park were they lived with their single mom.
Finn and Rissa were high-school sweethearts and had a deep first love. Later, when Finn returned home from a military posting, Rissa broke up with him and broke his heart. Leaving Finn for a smooth-talking rich guy seemed like a good idea at the time to Rissa. She was young, lacked self-confidence and mostly craved stability. But she soon discovered her new boyfriend was an abusive bully who she spent years escaping.
Some years have passed, but neither Finn or Rissa have ever forgotten each other. Finn is bitter and angry, and Rissa is disappointed by her life choices but has moved on with supportive friends.
Current-day Finn is filthy rich thanks to his (previously estranged) billionaire father's guilty conscience. He decides to purge himself of Rissa once and for all by contracting her up-and-coming cleaning business to manage his housing complex. He plans to force Rissa to spend time with him and flaunt his wealth in her face, then ruin her business.
Things don't go to plan when Finn realises that he never stopped loving his beautiful, hard-working, caring Rissa. Rissa is scarred from her time with her ex, and Finn has his own demons to face in the form of an addiction to painkillers following an injury from an IED.
Predictable and completely ridiculous set-up, but somehow still an easy read. I'm sure I've read the first book, Tank's story, but can't find any record of it to know if I liked it or not.
Will Finn have revenge or have loved put back into his heart

This is the second installment in the Blue-Collar Billionaires series. I love reading about Billionaires and Finn was a cocky one for sure. After Finn has done several tours in Afghanistan, his billionaire father, which he barely remembers leaves everything to him. What is Finn to do now?
Finn decides to go back home and track down the one woman he can't quit thinking about and who left him for a wealthier man back then. Finn is going to get revenge. What else does he have to do with his time.
Marissa has worked hard to get to where she is at with her business at Maid 4-U. When Marissa gets a huge contract that is for a penthouse, she is so excited and thinks that this might her big break, until she sees who the owner is. Can it be true?
Finn of course is cocky and demands what Marissa once promised him. Once minute Finn is ok and the next he is a jerk. I got frustrated with how mean he was to Marissa at some parts. Will these two be able to overcome their pasts and Finn's cockyness to make a future together? You will have to read this one to find out!
Overall enjoyable and I loved learning more about these brothers, this one did not tug on my heart strings. Whilst I felt really sorry for everything Finn was suffering, his actions didn’t make me love him. Marissa was likeable and I felt sorry for her having her emotions abused like that. Yes, she chose the wrong man but she also paid for that. What did Finn expect when he kept resigning up for another tour of duty. I have owned this book for ages but my previous reviews from the back of the book are missing. It is no hardship to reread though.
I was SO looking forward to reading this book. Finn was okay through the beginning, but just pi**ed me off later. And Marissa just ticked me off period. I'm not a big fan of this storyline though. I just keep wondering why he doesn't tell her to kiss off. But anyone who does what she did just irks me. Cheating almost always bothers me. But cheating while the other is deployed?!? No. Just. No. That cannot ever be forgiven. Not in my book anyway.
Finn and Rissa. These two knew each other in school. Got real close but then she walked away. Now in the present Finn decides to get his revenge. Unbeknown to Rissa. They both were poor and now he is not. He figured she left because she wanted riches and saw it in someone else and broke his heart. But is this the right way? Does he even know her now or then? This could blow up in his face. Come and see how this plays out.
What starts as a revenge story ends up as a second-chance HEA, but the getting there was a little tedious.
I'd still read more in this series, as the setup was interesting, but the constant circling back to how much the MCs had hurt each other in the past, and how that impacted the way they interacted in the present was more than a little frustrating.
Honestly, I stayed for their deep emotional connection and the steamy sex scenes, because those? Those were spot-on.
I thought Tank was the brother that I would love the most, but Finn...Finn is beautiful! Tortured but beautiful. I can relate to Rissa cause I have some self depreciating tendencies myself, but being able to realize the mistakes you've made & trying to fix them is a sign of understanding. I can't wait to read what comes next!
Admitting he has a problem is Finn's first step. Not continuing with his revenge scheme would be smart, especially if he wants to get the girl. I'm excited to read more about Finn and his brothers as they navigate the hurt of their father's betrayal and moving forward with their lives finding love and happiness along the way.
Well written story and well developed characters! Reading these books in order will give you the best experience! Finn is the second brother. But he is the first to accept his father's bribe money. He wants to help his mom. But, even more, he wants revenge on his ex!
Rissa is was such a sweet character who worked hard because she had finally broken away from Andrew. Finn was rough and wanted revenge. He loved his mother dearly and really wanted to do anything for her. He wanted revenge on Rissa for all the hurt she had caused him. He didn’t get what he wanted he got an even better deal.
I felt like a ping ping ball, Finn & Rissa were obviously crazy about each other, but couldn't get on the same page. Spicy, loving and confusing. Perhaps if I started with the first book in this series? Still enjoyable!
I was not impressed with the depths of the revenge this book took the characters through. It was humiliating in a sense for the characters and I just could not get past it even with the happy ending.
I liked the first book in this series (Tank) better than this one. Parts of it were just too clunky. He is a whole 25 years old and wants to get revenge on his high school girlfriend. Seriously? I wanted to like both of the MC more but they both needed to grow up faster than this story let them.
Loved every moment of this haunting love story of Finn and Marissa ...wow... having read Gabe first it was a beautiful insight to Finn's story ...loved this happy happy ending for both of them , a second chance well deserved by both !!!
I really enjoyed Finn and Rissa’s story. She dumped him many years ago and has always regretted it. I am a sucker for an injured war hero and Finn ticked most of my boxes.
