Downpour is the powerful second book in the Ember series and a MUST READ!!! Max Valentine abandons his life in Maui and heads out on an emotional journey to face his past, heal old wounds and chase the storm!! Asia for months has believed Max was dead, but when Max finally tracks Asia down she will do anything to keep them from being separated ever again. She and Max head out on a journey around the world and are having the time of their lives. Max finds himself forgetting that a world outside of Asia ever existed and yet something is just not right.

Lies and betrayal will find Max back on the island of Maui facing those he left behind. He could never have imagined what Maui holds for him this time around. He discovers a love beyond anything he ever thought imaginable, but yet with all the happiness he feels, things are still unsettled. Max must chose between the powerful storm in Asia or the sunshine and calm of Sam and, to make matters worse, he cannot escape his past mistakes and finds those he loves put in harms way!

This book has it all and was really an emotional ride! I love the series and just be prepared because the twists and turns of Downpour will keep you on the edge! Just when you think you know what to expect next...get ready because here comes the BOOM!!!

Sizzling, Powerful, Amazing!!!! A Must Read!

Downpour poured on my heart and pulled me in.. this book affected me so deeply..
I couldn't stop reading it for one second.. it had me swept up in the romance and
the passion, hanging on to the edge of my seat for the most shocking, surprising
moments I would have never seen coming, and crying along the way.

Max is back and hotter than ever!!!! When he left his home, his family, and friends
he left them broken.. while he is away he learns to forgive himself and to heal his old
wounds.. he goes in search of Asia and they connect in the most powerful way but
he discovers she has been keeping a secret from him.. that his uncle frank was
ill and is in the hospital... when he returns to Maui to be with
his uncle there are quite a few surprises waiting for Max and his past that he
left in Maui comes back to haunt him.. get ready to be blown away (literally)!!!
can you handle the Downpour??? read on and find out!!!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.Thank you so much,Madison!
As you may probably know,I LOVED the first volume of this series, “Ember”. The book left me with a HUGE cliffhanger and I was so eager to read the second book, “Downpour”, that when I received it, I couldn’t believe that I was finally going to read it!!
Noo,I didn’t like it.I adored it!! I am sooo lucky that I can understand this series and I can enjoy it.Lately, I saw that not everyone can understand it at its real value. The “Ember” series is AMAZING and deserves every single piece of attention and love that receives.
I loved every single page of this book and I was so sad when I finished it that I couldn’t read something else for a full week. “Downpour” also left me with a cliffhanger, even bigger than Ember’s. I need the 3rd like I need water!! The end of the book shocked me and made me cry.
In “Downpour” ,the characters are very changed. More mature, responsable and passionate.Asia annoyed me to pieces, though in “Ember” I loved her!She was so selfish and she couldn’t understand that Max has *SPOILER* a child *END OF THE SPOILER* and he has more responsabilities. He has to be near Sam! Asia wanted Max just for herself and that annoyed me so much I could’ve screamed right in Asia’s face!
The book hooked me and, at some point, I was breathless!I was so into the book that I forgot to breathe! Everything around me disappeared and it was just me and this amazing world that Madison created.I felt like I was part of the story, watching everything from a corner. Not too many authors can do something like this.
Madison’s writing-style amazed me again. Something in it is so mysterious and unique, that the book flows from itself. The book has a special musicality that makes you love it from the first pages.
“Downpour” is very emotionally and at somescenes I even cried.
To be honest, I don’t know what else I can saw, how I should describe how much I loved it. Should I tell again that I loved it? As I think that you figured out, I recommend the series from the bottom of my heart.I am very happy that I discovered the series and I can’t wait until the 3rd volume! I want everyone to read it, no matter if the love it as much as I do.

I was really looking forward to the release of the book following Ember. Mr. Daniel brought us back to the time of Max taking off in search of Asia and took us on a journey to different continents. Max and Asia have found each other after the tragic day that had pulled them apart. Something is unsettling for Max and when he finds his Uncle Frank is sick and Asia knows more than she was willing to tell, he takes off back home without her. He comes home to find that his Uncle is more than ill and things have changed for Sam, but as well for himself now. Max is so torn with his feelings for Asia and Sam but there is such a connection that can’t be denied with Sam. Where will his heart take him?
I found myself crying in this book with the passion Mr. Daniel shared with us in his writing. The characters are easily loveable and the pull is intense. There are not many authors that you can find yourself wanting to follow so closely but Mr. Daniel’s writing is one that is undeniable and his way with words and music tug at your heart leaving you breathless wanting more.

Madison Daniel's "Ember Series" continues to burn through our emotions, rain on our sunny days and completely throw us into a whirlwind!

This second book in the trilogy throws in so many curves, it's difficult to put down when started. "Downpour" is the continuing love triangle saga of Max, Asia and Samantha. Madison Daniel did a fantastic job really bringing the characters to life and the interaction between all of them in the book was well done. The realism is brought to life when you are sitting there wanting to smack one on the head, throttle another and just hug them to make everything better. And then when you finish, you realize you want to do the exact same thing to the author! ;)

World travels, love, life, and the unseen future rains down on you in "Downpour". Waiting for the final book "Aftershock" is going to be difficult!

Ever since he set foot in Hawaii to live with his Uncle Frank, Max Valentine's life has never been the same. He can't forget the events that drove him away from his beloved home. Nor can he forget the lives that were changed that fateful night. Deep inside, he knows he needs to come to terms with his past so that he can truly accept who and what he is. Unfortunately, that's easier said than done.

Having left the island in search of his other half, Max begins to wonder if he'll ever find her. Asia has come to mean the world to him and he'll do everything within his power to show her just how much he loves her. Wandering for days on end, he begins to lose hope and wonders if he'll be able to cross paths with her once again. A slight lead sends him toward what he believes may the be the place where he'll find her, once and for all. Never once does he imagine just how much his life will change within the blink of an eye.

Cementing their love once they come in contact once more, Max soon realizes that not everything is as it seems. Asia has secrets of her own. Secrets she has no wish to divulge. Yet when an unexpected occurrence puts a kink into their plans, he knows he'll need to make a choice that might break him in the process.

Catapulted into a life of turmoil and pain, Max returns home in hopes of making amends with those he loves. The sight of his former flame dredges up his past feelings, feelings he once thought were dead and buried. Sam is just as beautiful as she was when he disappeared so long ago. His heart yearns to make her his once more, but Asia's presence stands in the way of their happiness.

He knows Asia will do anything to keep him by her side. Yet that's something he can't quite allow. When it becomes apparent, that there's more to situation than meets eye, Max vows to make everything right somehow. He'll do anything to protect those he loves to the best of his ability, even if it ends up killing him in the process yet again.

This was honestly a good sequel to Madison's first book, Ember. I truly enjoyed it very much. It was delightful to see the characters get a little bit of closure, even if it wasn't in the way I thought it would be.

Madison's blend of intrigue and romance throughout the story truly brings out the best, and the worst, within each of the characters. Their unique stories are truly profound and intertwined in more ways than one. The one thing that bothered me, though, was the book's punctuation. There were quite a few spots within it that had missing periods and commas, but other than that, the story really is a good read.

* I received a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review. *

WTF?!?!? That was literally my first thought when I started reading this book and again when I finished reading this book!! This story went from amazing to beyond belief amazing! The twists, turns, loops and curves kept me up most of the night reading and even when I stopped for bed I was still thinking about the characters, the plot and what could possibly happen next to Max, Asia, Sam and the gang. The author kept the reader on the edge of their seat with this one - it was a non-stop adventure ride and one in which I want to take again and again.

The story starts off with Max visiting his sister's grave and ends with Max's mom...yep...Max's mom....what a bombshell to drop on us and then expect someone to be able to function normally when all they can think about is what happened in this story and what is going to happen next! I laughed, cried, yelled, and mourned throughout this book and I know that anyone else that reads it will do the same. The reader becomes invested in these characters and they become family and friends and when something happens to them you actually feel like it is happening to you as well.

The author pulls you into the story and into the world of Max, Asia, Sam, Uncle Frank, Madison and the island of Maui and you can't help wanting to stay there with them. The reader becomes a part of the story, I could vividly picture the setting, the clouds, the rain and the fire throughout the story - I almost forgot that it was just a story, that is how good of a book it is! Do yourself a favor and get this one and book one so you can become just as engrossed as I have in their world. Make sure you add this one and the others to your TBR list! You don't want to miss out on anything that this series or author has to offer!

The Review
I read this book first before I read Ember which is book 1, I was intrigued to see if I could read it as a stand alone and yes I could, I understood what was going on, The characters in this reminded me of the Xmen, Asia was definitely Storm, she had all the same attributes, which was awesome, Who does not love a superhero, and for me Asia was definitely one in this book, I know the hero was Max, but Asia was always the heroine for me, I still can’t decide who Max should be with, as Sam is the love of his life, won’t say too much because of spoilers, but Asia is always there for him, I loved how this story was written with each chapter the author had given you a soundtrack to listen along with, each one must have been carefully chosen, they all went along very nicely, Thankyou for that. Max is on a mission in this one, I loved the action sequences, the emotional moments were very moving, Highly recommended to all 5/5

I start reading Downpour with mix feelings.. Not for any other reason than I believe Max is after the wrong girl, because I knew this book was going to be brilliant.
Max has left Maui to battle his demons and in search of his storm. Once reunited, it all seems heavenly. They travel and unite as one. Asia's powers have evolved, while Max have dwindled. But peace does not last long when Max finds out Asia has been hiding things from him.
He returns to Maui, because uncle Frank is sick and finds out other life changing events. Max feelings for Sam and Asia are in turmoil. Sam, Kai, Max & Asia reunite. Good old times right, wrong! So much has change in their lives. Life in Maui has not been still waiting on Max return. Many things have changed. Well Oz is still the same. Old ghost come out to play and promise to put an end to Max Valentine.
As much as Asia annoyed me in Ember, I could not help but connect with her. She surprised me. What a caring and loving person she could be, of course when she wanted too. Totally surprised with Sam as well. (I won't give anything away).
These characters have grown so much since the last time we saw them. What an emotional roller coaster. Madison even made me cry a few times but as y'all know I'm a big sap. And let's not forget the great music selection, just awesome.

Thanks Madison.

OMG! I don't even know how to begin reviewing this second installment.. I just finished it... I am so in Love with the lyrical writing style of the author. I was literally blown away by the ending.... cannot wait for (Ember Series #3)

Max is still a hothead, as the twists and turns unfold Max's reactions are amazingly portrayed in such a real heartfelt and emotional way.. The combination of the music and the printed word play out the scenes so beautifully.

Asia or Sam, which side am I on? Tough question. They each have strong reasons why they should be with Max, but I will wait til book 3 to decide. New characters are introduced, some characters have moved away from the Islands.. This story will take you on a journey from Hawaii to China, Fiji, Australia, and other places... What a wonderful trip it is too.

Uncle Frank and OZ the Protector are adorable characters whom have made their way into my heart.. Love the chacters and the world? WOW! Intense, suspenseful, mysterious, amazing, there is anger, love, betrayal, untruths, secrets, and more.

I highly recommend this beautifully written series to thosen who want to feel the pages come to life.. I LOVE IT!

In Waves (Ember Series 2)

I received a copy of his book in exchange for an honest review.

The story picks up where book 1 left us. Max is searching for Asia and forgiveness for himself. There are too many secrets being held by everyone. Asia knows what is going on back home but does not tell Max and no one from home bothers to inform Max of anything. It is a bit frustrating that Max is running around the world with Asia and he is needed back home. Quite irritating that it lasts as long as it does. Max finally returns home and there is more going on than anyone knows. There is a third party out to get Max and his family. I am glad that this joined the story line. I hope the crazy love triangle sorts itself out soon. If Max knows Sam is his soul mate, what is so hard to make a definitive choice?!

I just finished reading Downpour, and wow! I loved every second of it! Madison Daniels has an awesome way with words. I love the love triangle between Max, Asia and Sam and I really enjoy their adventures. This book is full of twists and turns and anguish and love and sacrifice. As Max mentions a few times... "Stop the world, I wanna get off." So much happens in Downpour and I don't want to give any of it away, it's just too good, you have to read it all for yourself. As a matter of fact, I may have to go back and read it all again, because I'm sure I missed stuffed the first time around that will play into the next novel in the series, which I really hope Mr. Daniels is slaving away at so I can have it in my hands ASAP!!!

Its the love triangle (where there are 2 girls involve) that's making this book interesting.

Besides the fact that i hate Max for not making his own decisions and cant stick with it, he's like jumping to conclusions all the time and when he finally got to live with the girl, a small problem will show and they'll fight, again. It sucks. That made me feel like deleting this ebook. (I cant find any MD books here)

I love the action part of the book, its like im directing the book on my mind. Although there are some grammatical errors, (apostrophes and sentence grammar).

All in all i gave it 3 stars :)

“Downpour” was just as fantastic, if not better than “Ember.” This book is nonstop action and picks up right where Ember leaves off. It is full of twist and surprises that will leave you saying what the hell. While you are reading this book expect to form a love/hate relationship with Max. I absolutely love Asia and Sam is in between for me but the characters and the chemistry they share makes the book what it is. This book ends in a cliff hanger that definitely will leave you wondering and needing to know what will happen next. I cannot wait to read the next book and future books in the series. This book would make one hell of a movie.

This is the 2nd book in the Ember series and oh boy, is it good! The first part is about Max and Asia running away from their problems by globe-trotting. Then they have a big blow up, Max returns to HI, and his world is shaken again with news from Sam. The triumvirate of Sam, Max, and Asia starts again with a few more twists. Then, the bad guys come into play and everything goes haywire. The book ends with a very interesting twist. This is a definitely a must read series if you like YA paranormal books. Check it out!

Most amazing book ever ;) The plot had many twists and turns as we are reunited with the characters from the first novel and there were many surprises as I read the book. It had just enough action to not feel cluttered and keep the reader interested. The book did in fact frustrate me at times, especially with the love triangle. Asia's selfishness did bug me a lot but I still empathized with her as a character. Kai and Sam's relationship was pretty big shock to me as we'll.
Overall this book was a great sequel to ember an I eagerly await the last book Aftershock ;))

I loved this second installment of the Ember Series. I love this series because it takes place on Maui, where I was raised, so I knew firsthand, all of the locations. I really got to know more about the characters. There was mystery, suspense, romance, and that love triangle. In Ember I was totally Team Asia, now...I'm sort of open. Sort of. BUT, I'll remain Team Asia for now. I love the new addition, and was sad because of a death. The fight scene was awesome!!! I definitely recommend this series to lovers of YA Paranormal Romance.

I was so excited to read this book and I wasn't disappointed. It had me hooked from start to finish and when it was over I went back to read some of it again. It is rare for me to like all people involved in a love triangle.I find myself loving Both Asia and Sam.There was so much that happened in this book.I wasn't going to write a review figuring 5 stars was enough but..man I was left speechless..and sad.i can't wait for the next book.I LOVE this series!!!!

Wow...wow!!!! You did not let your fans down Mr. Daniel!!!

Can not wait for book 3!!!!!
I actually had to tell myself to relax during parts of Downpour!!!! What a thrill!

I love that Mr. Daniel titles each chapter with the name of an appropriate song from his very good playlist!!!
Songs also tell and add to a story...I wish more authors did this!
Mr. Daniel had many of my own favorites in this book, which led me to further enjoy his work.

What can I say? Madison Daniel has written another AMAZING book! I couldn't put it down! Downpour is so good! I can't wait for Aftershock!

I remembered a question while reading this book that I'd had from when I read Ember...Were the Hansen twins named after Eddie and Alex Van Halen?....Hmmm something to ponder...

Can we get the next book out like yesterday? Enjoyed this book a little more than the first one, still some minor grammatical errors (some people get all bent out of shape by them, none were bad enough to make me need to reread anything). Really enjoying this series
