The story is of utmost importance in my mind. The characters and details fit into that framework. And I take a lot of care over my characters and details.
I'm a self confessed love-a-holic, living in my heated imagination. Not that that's a bad place to be living, but it does make ordinary, day to day life, a little less than exciting at times.
I have to kick myself up the backside now and then and remind myself that books is books and life is life. LOL
I've read hundreds of books in a variety of genres - love, mystery, intrigue - and to be honest, I enjoy a little gruesome horror as well. Shocking, scary, downright gory really gets me going.
I worked in finance until a few years ago, and if you've ever read Hot Options, one of my books, you'll see a real glimpse of the old me in there. All the technical stuff is true to life.
My office is my comfy sofa and my even comfier bed. YES, it really is. I sit on my bed and type like a pro getting up to 5k words out on some days.

More Taxi Cab Rides For Me…Please!
All of us, in one way or another, are shaped by our childhoods. Our main characters, Kate Denton and Aaron Garcia, are no exception.
Kate is the product of a short fling between a Russian oil billionaire and a casino croupier. She didn’t fit into either of their lifestyles so she was basically raised by professional help and boarding schools. Over the years, Kate developed trust issues with almost everyone, especially men. Little did she know that an innocent taxi cab ride would change her life forever.
Aaron has only been loved by one person in his entire life and that was his father. His mother was always cold and distant, his sisters, indifferent. Growing up in that kind of atmosphere hardened his heart towards women. Oh, don’t get me wrong, he is quite the playboy. He’s a “love them and leave them” kinds guy… nothing permanent EVER! Aaron has been dividing his time between his Dad in Venice and his work in New York. This time he finds himself flying back to Venice for the reading of his father’s will. Even though his Dad had been ill for quite some time, Aaron is still extremely saddened by his passing. He is certainly dreading seeing the “female piranhas” (that is the term he uses when referring to the only family he has left) and at this moment, they’re waiting for him in the attorney’s office. Running late, he is forced to share a taxi cab ride that will end up altering his destiny.
Author K.M. Liss has written a heartwarming yet intriguing love story. The storyline is solid and the character development throughout the book is spellbinding.
For me, there is nothing better than sipping on a cocktail, lounging by the pool being totally captivated by a well written Contemporary Romance novel. CHEERS!

Katrina Liss never ceases to amaze me. Every time I read one of her books, it gets a little bit better than the last. This one was no exception. I absolutely LOVED it!
In this one, Kate and Aaron are both multi-millionaires who hide that fact from everyone. When they meet they lie to each other about what they do for a living and don't tell each other how much they have in the bank. But that isn't really a big part of the story. This is more about how they fall for each other and the trials they meet along the way. The heat between them is intense, and there are several very steamy scenes along the way. They have a couple of really tragic obstacles to face, but as always, they have their HEA ending.
I can't wait for Katrina's next sexy adventure. I'm sure they will just keep getting better. Her writing continues to grow and improve with time, and I continually look forward to more.

This is the second K M Liss book that I have read,and I liked it from the first few pages. I was really able to get into the story line and plot and it even got me thinking about the twists and turns and what was going to happen next. I loved the outcome of the story and I have one sure way of knowing that a book is good ......I feel as if a part of me is gone forever when the book is finished,it's a bit like having book withdrawal! Can't wait for this lovely lady's next book to arrive. Well done miss Liss!

Good storyline. I would have liked it more had it not been told in a dual-first person, present tense. Even just making it past tense would have made it easier to read, third person and past would have made an outstanding story.

Kate and Aaron have such a fast and crazy romance I dare any reader not to get sucked up into their love tornado! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a crazy love story read!

This book wasn't for me. The male character wasn't alpha enough and forgave to easily. The female character annoyed me to no end and and I couldn't wait for the story to end. There was a lot of skimming evolved with this book for me.
