This volume really left me feeling frustrated. It's around 15% story content, 10% recap, and 75% side story filler... and that's being generous. You could skip this while book and probably be fine in the next volume.
That said, I loved ever moment in the same way I love anthologies and fanfics. It may feel like the author has lost focus on the story but here's you consolation fan service to keep you from completely starving for content. I really wish they'd just do a collection of side stories as a separate thing rather that clog up the main story. Why give false hope, do they lack the confidence their fluff wouldn't sell? This fluff is totally cotton candy, worth every melty moment. Be honest and stop the bake and switch already!
I'm still suffering waiting to find out which knight will be Sirus reincarnated. Will it be Cyril or Savis? Every time I think it's one the other gets new content to confuse me. I think I'm for team Cyril but we'll see. I hope it's sooner rather than later, our girl Fia needs her white knight something desperately...
I guess I do too as a reader. Maybe that's a big contributing factor to my dissatisfaction? Such a long wait with so much teasing. The story is at a crawl and I'm crying for their reunion.
it was ok. i liked the other volumes but this one seemed to be mostly the captains meeting just discussing things fia had done, i like scenes where characters are shocked about the antics of the MC but that whole meeting felt like it was too long and kinda dragged with it going over info we already know without adding anything new. i do wish they would cut back on the 300 years ago flash backs, some of them are needed for the plot or charaters but some of them just seem really pointless and i just wish it would get back to the main story. this volume felt like it was mostly just flash backs either to things that had happened now or 300 years ago. i hope the next one actually has more of the story happen. :/
I love this series but this volume was rather disappointing. There was hardly any progress in the storyline. The captain’s meeting took way too long - and it felt odd that Saviz hardly ever spoke. At a few points they talked about him as if he wasn’t even there. I hope the next volume isn’t so repetitive. Also, commander Saviz marries anyone other than Fia in dropping this series. I understand literally every man is interested in her but by volume 7 there should be someone she’s interested in. And that person better be Saviz lol
Fia continues to be an airhead, though shows a surprising acuity when meeting the king. Curious if she’ll cure his curse at some point, and what the curse has to do with her death - the timing is quite obvious. I assume her brothers got cursed for abandoning her..
Just to warn you, this volume does not advance the plot in any way. It’s literally all side stories that are meant to be funny but are just fillers.

Love it, picked it up in half price and it was totally appropriate and interesting. And omg i'm so invested when light novel 8 came out in English i had it preordered it so fast like 5 months ahead.
