Exciting read
This was an exciting read. Stephen, now a Shadow Agency operative, rescues Heidi who works for his former boss and finds herself in danger. As they escape multiple times, they have to learn to trust each other. Who is behind the attacks on Heidi? How does Heidi's boss play into this? Loved how Barritt added twists and turns, surprises, romance, and danger into Stephen and Heidi's story.

Wow! What an ending to this series!
I found I was holding my breath throughout this whole book.
The author brought in all of the Shadow team to help create an epic ending and clarify many questions.
It started on page one with a shiver up your spine and kept going! Heidi didn’t know what was happening or who to trust, but through it all, Stephen was by her side. However, he didn’t even know who to trust, either.
While reading this story, the reader is taken on a ride like no other, and the need to be reminded to breathe is very strong.
The search to find the truth regarding this Shadow team organization and who Rafferty really was pushed Stephen and Heidi to do many things. They just needed to survive all that was coming at them. Just when you think you know, the author does what she always does, and she throws a twist in the mix.
Christy Barritt is one author who knows how to weave a tale that will leave you on the edge of your seat as you read the story. You’ll be taken on a ride like you will never believe.
Her writing is always full of suspense, action, drama, and twists, and this one is no different.
The author's writing keeps you on the edge of your chair and won't let you put the book down until you are finished. This is what I love about reading a book by Christy Barritt. I know I'll be captured from the very first line.
If you love “who-done-it” stories with mystery, suspense, action, a bit of relationship tension, and romance mixed in, you will love this book!

Coming home to a dark house on a rainy night was not turning out to be the quiet relaxing evening that Heidi Myers had envisioned . . . . especially when the eerie silence was interrupted by a vaguely familiar voice, "We need to talk".
Scaring Heidi half out of her wits had not been Stephen Garner's intention. Nevertheless, the reason was important; it didn't get any more crucial than life or death. Whether she realized it or not, Heidi's job as an executive assistant at Blackstone Security gave her access to information that Stephen and his friends desperately needed. Before Stephen had time to explain, danger literally came knocking on Heidi's front door. . . .
. . . . and didn't end . . . until the end of the story. . . . at least that story. Heidi and Stephen planned to write a totally different version.

This story keeps you guessing from the beginning to the end!! Heid Myers gets drawn into a dangerous situation because of her boss. An ex-employee, Stephen Garner, helps Heidi escape one attempt after another to kill/kidnap her. As they both try to find answers to what is going on, they also find they don't know who they can trust. The ending may take you by surprise!! Action-filled situations, suspense at almost every turn, complex characters and relationships - all rolled into one story (and series). If this is your first Shadow Agency read, it won't be your last. I received an advance copy from the author but all opinions are my own.

Heidi thought she had been through the worse life had to offer until she finds out there was more than she ever imagined. Stephen had been trained for the worse and he no longer felt he could bring anything good to another person, especially one as Heidi. Together they have to trust in one another just to survive.
Christy weaves a story so convincing you feel as if you are actually in the story. The Shadow agents are now co-workers and those they have saved are friends.

I had an ARC for this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Heidi Myers works as an executive assistant for the Blackstone agency and thinks her job is an answer to prayer, but when former operative, Stephen Garner shows her she is in trouble and someone wants to eliminate her, they have to stay ahead of the people after them. As usual Christy Barritt uses suspense well in this book and you will be riveted to it once you start reading it trying to figure out all the ramifications of the things happening.

Another exciting Shadow Agency novel, only this one features a new guy who used to work for a questionable security group. Now he must fight to protect himself and the executive assistant to his former boss. Something big is going down, but what and how can they stop it? Thrilling action and surprises from beginning to end. This can stand alone, but the books in the series do go in order. I received a copy from the author. All opinions are my own.

Stephen and Heidi both come with a lot of personal baggage and are afraid to trust anyone else, but find they need to lean on each other to find the truth -- and likely, to even survive. Espionage, twists and turns, red herrings, and betrayal keep the reader on the edge of their seat and guessing from beginning to end! Another great, suspenseful read!

An action filled story that kept me on the edge of my seat. Heidi is an executive assistant who doesn't expect to be in danger until she gets kidnapped and her world gets turned upside down. Steven is trying to rescue her and develops a growing love for her. They're both trying to trust God to help them through this.

How do you do it?
Once again Christy has written a series with unique story lines that keep the reader guessing throughout. Each book has its own story but they also leave you wanting more as a larger story is threaded through the full series. Love it! Please keep writing unique stories. I devoured this whole series on holiday this week.

Great Read
Couldn't put it down. Read it in one afternoon. From the first page I was hooked. Enjoyed it because I had read all of The Shadow Agency Books. It was fun to see them all get together for a common cause. Glad to see that Larchmont was not really a bad guy. Always wondered how he always knew where everyone was!

Great series!
If you want to read good, clean thrillers, read each novel in this series. I really like how Ms. Barritt brings faith into her novels revealing the personal growth of those characters who have not been in communion with God for sometime. I have enjoyed each one of her books and definitely plan to continue following her.

An Unlikely Hero
I loved everything about this book! One of the few books of acts of terrorism that there's a lady heroine, Heidi intrigued me and inspired me and she was a fantastic character. I'd love to read a sequel to this book so I can live vicariously through Heidi and Stephen! Christy Barrett is a phenomenal writer!

Christie Barrett is a winner again!
The best asset Christie Barrett has is her ability to capture her readers' attention from the first page! Her novels are well researched and well written always. I'm always waiting for her new ones to come out! You won't be able to put them down!

Exciting
There is never a dull moment in Christie's books. Once I start reading I don't want to put the book down. It's never easy to find a stopping point. I recommend her books to anyone who enjoys reading as a pass time.🙂

Loose ends are gradually intertwined to reveal the unexpected culmination of the Shadow Agency and its origins. It's quite the reading adventure.

Action packed , and you never know exactly what will happen…until it does. If you went through the secret agency you had better watch your every step , as you could be standing one minute and knocked down the next. There is so much action, twists and turns in this book it keeps you locked in!

I love these new characters, Stephen and Heidi. The excitement they encounter from start to finish is always a wonderful asset of Christ Barritt’s books. I highly recommend reading this book.
