Kara missed the touch of a man. Kahl has been gone from her bed for over two years now. Yes they still resided in the same home but not the same bed. This of course was by his design.
Should Kara live in a home with a human man without love, or accept the love of a vampire who has waited for her all his life?
I'm not quite sure how to start this review. The story was a little hard to follow with the characters names being similar, Kara and Kahl. The beginning was slow for me but curiosity kept me going. The book did get a little better but not much. There were some odd dreams going on that I still don't quite see the point in, the story could have done without. The main thing that bugged me was the grammar and spelling errors. I could read past it most of the time but the book could have used a proofread. The switch in points of view was sometimes a little confusing but I got used to it further on. The good thing was Michael. I did enjoy his character and his unique heritage. I wished I could have seen more of the vampire world. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I would caution a slight warning that there are some disturbing graphic references/ scenes. Give this book a read if you're looking for a more of a finding happiness love story as there wasn't much of a paranormal element to it, except really for the character being a vampire. Like I said I would have loved to see more of the vampire world other than the brief glimpse.
