The legitimate heir. The unwanted brother. The Outcast. I abandoned everything—my legacy, my mistakes, and the woman who should've been mine. Because they're better off without me. At least I had the courage to act on it when given the chance.
Until I'm found and the unthinkable happens. It's time I go back. Take back the life I want. No matter the consequences.
Just in time too, as the woman I love fights for her life and her birthright. She doesn't want me here, but I'm not leaving. Not this time. Even when her toy is determined to push me out.
I have mistakes to atone for and no one, not even her, will stop me.
In the shadows of the Dirty Dogs' world, three lives intertwine in a dance of passion, loyalty, and vengeance. Who will rise, who will fall, and whose heart will shatter in the crossfire?
This is an MFM standalone novel in the Bastard Brothers of Carnage world. While reading the series in order will provide the best reading experience, this book can bet read independently.
Blake Blessing is just a working mom that loves art in all forms, and all genres of romance. Although she enjoys writing romance of the steamier variety.
I'll be honest after reading the first five books in this series I was kinda thinking that Matias book would also go down the RH route. Saying that I was in no way disappointed that it didn't. I'm not going to let out any spoilers about the books before this one other than read them or this book won't make much sense.
I will say this that Matias is back in the fold of family trying to make amends for the hurt he caused (especially to Rita). My heart did go out to him in the other books though because I felt that all he wanted was to be part of the Carnage Brothers and just didn't work out that way.
I loved Rita and Esteban from the start of this book. Rita is an MC Princess that is tough as nails, smart and quick witted too. Who has a not so happy history with Matias so him being back causes her lots of problems. Add to that biker - Esteban (who was hot as hell!!) who also has his heart set on Rita. My word did these 3 characters bring on the heat!! A cracking read with characters I loved. I was glad Matias got his own book that got to tie up loose ends perfectly.
I really enjoyed this book. So excited to get more of Matias he was a favorite of mine from Blake BBofC series. I've always liked his character and thought it was complex so I was really excited to get to dive into his story. And I love an MFM. I really enjoyed all the characters in this book and the story. Super satisfying and enjoyable read.
The story of Matias, the legitimate brother from the bastard brothers of carnage series. Matias was the son of the psycho leader of the Institution. The four bastard brothers were the illegitimate sons. Matias grew up in luxury with his psycho sister Valentina but she and the father were killed in previous books and the bastard brothers took over. They got rid of the sex trafficking and drug dealing. At the end of the last book, Matias was shot and went over a cliff. He was assumed dead. But after a long recovery from the brink of death, he went to hide out in Portugal thinking everyone was better without him. He found amorettes sister Grace and let amorette know where he was. Rita is the daughter of Javier, the leader of the dirty dogs. Maria’s and Javier were close and Javier always wanted Matias to take over the dirty dogs and be with Rita. But back when he was fooling around with Rita, Matias’s father forbid it and threatened her life if Matias didn’t break it off. So he left her to save her life. But she just thought he left her because he was a jerk. Javier has a heart attack and Rita forces amorette to tell her where Matias is. So she goes to Portugal because Javier wants to see Matias. She tracks Matias down and he panics. Then, while she’s there trying to get Matias to come see her father, she gets a message that Javier is dead from a blood clot. She goes home and Matias drinks himself into a stupor. Then he realizes he has to go back so he does. The dirty dogs have tons of infighting because they need a new leader and some of the guys have broken off to try to get back into the sex trafficking and drug dealing business. Rita wants to take over but there’s no other women in the dirty dogs. A gang war breaks out between the dirty dogs and a new rival club. Meanwhile Rita is sleeping with esteban and then Matias comes back and tells her he loves her so she’s sleeping with him too and everyone is mad. In the end, there’s some shootouts and Matias and Esteban become friends and then they have a nice threesome which his brothers (who are all sleeping with amorette) think is hilarious and they weed out the bad seeds in the dirty dogs. The dirty dogs and the bastard brothers form an alliance. The girls have a school for girls that teaches them how to fight and do cool shit like hot wire cars. While there’s a couple spicy parts of this book, the character development isn’t as good as previous books and the end is kind of abrupt. Otherwise HEA.

This book was a pleasant surprise because I was not expecting a book for Matias. With that being said, I am so glad he got his chance. He is the only legitimate son of an awful, awful man. We became familiar with him through the bastard brothers stories and I loved those so very much. The way these stories lined up together is so spot on and done so well. Blessing is so great at writing reverse harems I knew that this one would be just as gripping as the rest. This book did a wonderful job of pulling everything together and getting a whole other side. All throughout the other novels I always remained rooting for Matias. He was continuously made out to be the bad guy and this gives you the perspective that is needed to fully understand the torment of the ruler Vincent. Matias may have looked like he was the lucky one but things are not always what the appear.
Rita is a very influential character and plays a tremendous role in the Dirty Dogs. It was so refreshing to see her take things into her own hands and become the woman she was always meant to be. I love a strong FMC and she surpassed all expectations and really delivered. This was the part of the Bastard Brothers of Carnage that I didn't even know I needed!

~ "I loved you enough to walk away." The words settled between us with a soft boom.
✥ Being the only legitimate son of a psychopath was a lonely place to be. I'd learned that time and time again, any time I'd attempted to make any sort of connection with anyone. Even my own brothers.
Outcast by Blake Blessing is the emotional, action packed finale I didn’t know I needed but absolutely did. After devouring the first five books in the series, I had a lot of lingering questions about Matías... and this book delivered all the answers, and then some.
Let me be upfront you need to read the previous books first. This isn’t a casual standalone; the weight of Matías’s journey hits hardest when you’ve followed him through the BBOC series. But wow, was it worth it.
I genuinely loved the dynamic between Rita and Matías. Blake absolutely nailed Rita’s character she’s fierce, independent, and refuses to just forgive and forget. Her growth from beginning to end is powerful, and it made me root for her even harder.
Matías? All he’s ever wanted was to be chosen to be loved. Watching his journey unfold, especially with Rita and the surprise addition of Esteban, was emotional in the best way. The throuple dynamic completely worked and felt earned.
This book had everything: internal club conflict, intense action, emotional healing, satisfying groveling (even if I don’t think he needed to grovel that hard), and a beautifully full circle ending. It’s a little lighter in tone compared to the earlier books, but still packed with suspense and heart.
It’s bittersweet saying goodbye to this world and these characters, but Matías finally getting his happy ending made it all worth it. If you’re into found family, second chances, and MC romances with unexpected softness, Outcast is one you won’t want to miss.
"Her cat eyes were so sharp, she could cut a man with just a look. By all accounts, I should have been in ribbons at her feet"
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶/5
Tropes: Second chance MFM Found family Alphahole
When the BBOC series ended I was left with a lot of questions about Mattias and what the hell had happened to him. So to get a book purely dedicated to his character is such a blessing! See what I did there 😂
This book tied everything up so nicely! Yet it had its only story, the characters had their own struggles all the while bringing in the OG characters.
I honestly loved the relationship between Rita and Mattias. I love how she didn't just roll over when he decided to come back and just forgive him. Rita is such a bada$$ fmc and Blake nailed her character perfectly. The character growth in just Rita's character from beginning to end was great to follow.
I also didn't expect this to be a MFM romance but it turned out amazing! The funny little comments about following in his brothers footsteps with their unconventional relationship had me laughing out loud.
The snippets we got to see of Amorette, her guys and the baby! I'm actually obsessed with how the guys are as dads. The way they've all settled into such a domesticated life after their story ended makes my heart happy to read.
Outcast by Blake Blessing closes out the Bastards of Carnage collection with a bang - raw, emotional, MFM tangle of obsession, heartbreak, and explosive chemistry that is impossible to put down.
Rita is an incredible FMC. Fierce, loyal to the bone, she has a fight on her hands to keep her birthright, her Papa’s biker club, The Dirty Dogs. She’s been hurt, burned, used, and underestimated… but she’s still fighting.
Then there’s Matias Castillo. The heir to the Institution. Her first love. Her deepest wound. Her biggest weakness. When Matias wants Rita, he left to protect her from his father and now he has a lot of grovelling to do to get her back…
But this is MFM… which means he’s not the only one.
Esteban steps in - younger, flirty, loyal, charming, and carrying his own dangerous edge. Their night together is nothing short of explosive. And suddenly, Rita has two men who want her, desire her, chase her… and neither is willing to step aside.
My Verdict: Loved this one, we needed Matias’ story to finish off the collection. Matias the misunderstood brother, drawn back into the fold after his self imposed exile of sorts. Rita, the biker gang princess who loves him and hates him in equal measure and then Esteban, her one night lover, protective and loyal bodyguard, waiting for Rita to take a chance on him!
If you have read the previous books in this series you probably had pretty strong feelings about Matías and his death through the last books. So I am thankful that Matías was resurrected and received his own story in 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒄𝒂𝒔𝒕: 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆 #6. All he ever wanted was for someone to choose him and love him. I didn’t expect for him to get a throuple with Esteban and Rita but it really worked for them. It’s bittersweet to be saying bye to all these characters I really enjoyed that everything came full circle and Matías received his happy ending and really what he had always longed for. This was full of suspense with Dirty Dogs going through internal conflict and change of leadership. The groveling (even though I don’t believe he should have had to grovel) and the constant action made this seem like a quick read. I would recommend reading in order but you could read this as a standalone. It also isn’t as dark as the previous books in the series.
•Reverse age gap •MFM •Bada$$ Feisty FMC •Groveling •Biker Gang •Cartel •Second Chance
Disappointing skip the ending from one book to the next and just started into another series
I had read the whole series eagerly awaiting the ending the last book and left with everybody in trouble heroes and Jeopardy trapped by the villains supposed to be wrapped up in the last book with everything sorted out only to find in the last book it skipped over how it ended and we're off to settling with the the brother who would supposedly been killed coming back to life not really killed and his love story with the ones in peril now happily ever after. I read the whole thing trying to figure it out and even backed up to the book before this thinking I must have forgotten or misread something but I hadn't. When you invest so much time reading several books building the story in your head and for the author to just drop the ball and jumble it all in to rush the ending to go to the next part of what she builds as a story is very disappointing I kept thinking why you even bother to finish this book I finished the story it was all right but it left so many unanswered questions that it left me very unsatisfied.
*Menage *Contemporary *Multi-1st-PoV *Second chance *Reverse Age Gap *Biker Gang *Cartel *Fast Burn *MFM *Standalone Well deserved story! This story follows the legitimate cartel heir after the completion of Amorette’s story with the b*d brothers! Mathias became a favourite of mine in that series with his sacrifices and willingness to help those who thought the worst of him 🥹 although he definitely still faces some challenges in this book having to grovel (although personally I didn’t think he had to!) and try and secure his future. Rita is a snarky as FMC she takes some time to grow on you especially dragging out her and Mathias second chance, but it’s understandable with the circumstance she’s under 😖 having to rejuvenate the Dirty Dogs and ride out their internal battles …it certainly puts them in jeopardy 🙈 Esteban is a cinnamon roll addition that helps to balance out the other two and her certainly brings some heat with him! The book is quick paced and a great round off to the over arching arc of this world.
"Her cat eyes were so sharp, she could cut a man with just a look. By all accounts, I should have been in ribbons at her feet.”
WOW! Mattias’ story was everything I was hoping for and so much more!
Rita, Mattias and Esteban gave us an emotional, angsty, intense and spicy story that kept me gripping my kindle tightly and turning the pages quickly to see how their relationship developed and if they got their happy ending together. They have quite a few hurdles to overcome and demons to banish before they can have any chance of happiness.
The banter was fantastic, their connections were amazing and their chemistry just oozed off the pages and had me swooning like crazy.
Such a fantastic ending filled with action, suspense, angst, drama, danger and loads of spiciness that I couldn’t get enough of.
While this book follows a different character from the others in the BBoC series (someone in the series, but not a MC in the series), I would say that you definitely need to read the other books before picking this one up.
This book really tidied things up for me. I'm a huge fan of the BBoC series, and I when the series ended, I was a little bereft. This book gave me some of the characters I missed so much, and it gave me a storyline for another character that I really enjoyed in the series. Normally, I DO NOT like spin-off series--I'm not too sure why, but I've never really been a fan. This book didn't really read as a spin-off to me though, and though it differs from the MCs of the main series, it still felt like a continuation.
Overall, I really enjoyed this installment. I highly recommend this series to those that love darker RH reads with spice!!
This final book in the series deals with Matias and I am so glad that we get closure with him. I loved him as a character in the Bastards series and I always felt so bad for him stuck between 3 worlds with his father/sister and brothers and then the family he found for himself. It all came crashing down around him with his brothers and Amorette but now we get him back and we see how strong of woman Rita is and what happened after Matias left the series (can't give more details if you haven't read the series). Rita makes him grovel and she finds herself caught between 2 men that really are jealous of each other and think they are the best for her. We get an update on Amorette and her men and how Rita plays into that and we get sexy scenes between the 3 mains with them finding how to work together. This book isn't as dark but it was what was needed.
I have been a Matias girl since the beginning and I was so happy that Blake decided to write one more Bastard Brother's book to give him his HEA. Outcast gives us a little background to our characters and let's us know what they've been up to since Amorette got her own HEA with the Bastard Brother's. I will 100% admit, I was not a fan of Rita at first and was a little skeptical of this second chance lover's story for Matias and her. But Blake turned me around. I fell for Esteban so quickly! His cinnamon roll love and devotion, while still being a strong protector had me sold from the beginning. While I'm so sorry to see the end of this series, I'm happy Blake returned to give us Matias' HEA, as well as giving us a chance to fall for Esteban and root for our Rita.
I loved this book! It was so so good; almost better than the original series! I was actually surprised by that since I loved Amorette and the Bastard Brothers so much. But I reallyyyy loved Matias. I even thought for a minute there in the other books that he would become part of Amorette’s harem, but now I’m glad he didn’t. Rita is much better suited to him and I love them so much! Not to leave Esteban out though, because he is absolutely amazing. He is just so adorable. I love how he unapologetically loved Rita from the beginning and didn’t care who knew it (unlike someone else *cough* Matias *cough*). ANYWAYS, this book was amazing!!
These books would have been better on audio I think the narration it would have really set them off. However, like I said before, there's hardly any steam at all. And it's not dark like she claims it is. There are very few triggers, maybe the rape in the chamela station and the trafficking. That's about it, and even those aren't considered very dark when you read these. I wish you would have put all 6 books on audio. Maybe it would have been a better or more enjoyable time with it being narrated. I give it 2 stars because the story was okay, but it was lacking and I give it that's one and a 1/2 chili peppers, because there just wasn't enough heat in this, the clowns will be.
If you've read the previous books in the Bastard Brothers series you probably had strong feelings about Matías, I know I did. I knew there was more to his story & I was soooo happy that we finally get to read it. In the previous books, there were times I actually despised him so I was wondering how he was going to redeem himself.
Matías & Rita had a complicated relationship & when you add Esteban to the mix the story just becomes so much better. There is a lot of drama, action, suspense, and tons of romance. While I am sad to see this series end, this story was the perfect conclusion to the end of the BBOC series.
Woozier, this story was an absolute rollercoaster of emotions—entertaining, heartwarming, and heartbreaking—all while keeping me on the edge of my seat with its constant danger. Rita, a formidable woman, was surrounded by two incredibly devoted and protective men, Matias and Esteban. Their intense emotions, electrifying chemistry, and the plot itself were an explosive combination. From the very first page, the book captivated my attention and held it until the very end. What a phenomenal read! The Bastard Brothers of Carnage’s Series and Amorette made appearances in this book, adding to its allure.
This is the book we have all been waiting! Finally Matias has his book! I have to say that from the start of carnage brothers i wanted Matias with Amorette but after finally reading his book i can totally understand why he couldn't be with Am and why his perfect match is Rita and Esteban. Now Esteban....wow...what is there not to love about this man! The dedication , the obsession ....truly he is a chef's kiss! I totally loved the fact that we got to see The Bastards and Am! Truth be told i could totally see this being a new series instead of a standalone. I feel i want more of all of them ! Absolutely loved it!!
I had some issues with getting into this book. I knew she would end up with both men, but at the same time, I really wasn't feeling much for Esteban. For all the love and past history with Matias, Esteban just felt thrown in there most of the time. I was really rooting for Matias, too.
After a 5 book stretch down to this one singular book, I knew things were going to move faster. Things did move very slowly to begin with, but then both guys seemed to be OK with each other super fast.
The action was good, no long stretches of nothing happening, too. I did like this book, and I look forward to more books by this author.
I didn't really enjoy any of the Bastard series, but I loved Matias. I'm so happy that he got his own love story, because this book was a delight.
I wondered at first how Matias and Estoban could ever get past their jealousy and possessiveness of Rita, but even though it happened quickly, it felt organic and I loved the bromance that the two guys formed after they got past their shit.
Rita is an absolute queen and I could read a dozen books about the survival school for girls that she and Amorette formed. I loved that detail so much.
I'm so glad we got more of Matias and that he got his HEA. Second chance, reverse age gap, MFM, biker gang, and more. This book had action, suspense, emotions, drama, and spice!
I must say, I loved Matias and Esteban from the beginning. I also loved the groveling. He truly proved himself. I wasn't sold on Rita at first, but I did come around to loving her too. We see her growth and strength. I think this what a great addition and conclusion to the Bastard Brothers of Carnage.
I loved Matias and I’m so glad we got his story. Rita took me a bit to warm up to, but Esteban had me at the start. This was a great look into the Devil Dogs and how they functioned and we had a little bit of everything with this book - grief, love, betrayals, death, etc. Absolutely worth the read and I’m going to miss all 5 of the brothers, Amorette, Esteban, and Rita. 5⭐️2.5🌶️
Mathias, Esteban, and Rita. I loved the Carnage Brothers and was excited about Mathias and Rita. While I liked this book it did seem a little forced to be a why choose book like the Carnage Brothers books. Honestly, I do t think they needed Esteban and he did come off young and immature. I liked the storyline with there being a threat to the Dirty Dogs club from an outside group but it did seem pretty anticlimatic. The bill of the book was Mathias and Rita fixing their history with each other.
I loved being back in the Carnage world and following some new characters was a breath of fresh air. By the end of the Amorette's story, I had really grown attached to Matias and was super excited that he was getting his own book. I'm so glad he got his own happily ever after. I also loved the appearances from our lovable Bastards.
“She was stoic with her body armor on. That was her thing. Protecting herself with her skintight dresses and wicked high heels. It was an obsession as much as it was a crutch.”
I was so happy to read Matías story and for him to get his happy ending. He deserved it after everything we read in the Bastard Brothers of Carnage series. We finally got some clarification on Matías and Rita’s relationship and what happened to Matías at the end of Traitor. Rita is one badass woman and makes Matías grovel. How Esteban plays into this MFM story just adds to the drama.
Loved this 6th installment of the Bastard Brothers of Carnage series. Matias, Rita, and Esteban had a tale that needed to be told. Seeing Amorette and the brothers made it even sweeter. I'm hoping we'll see more of them at some point in a connected series. 4/5 stars.
Bastard Brothers series is an amazing series!! This book is Matias and I loved every minute of it. I’m so glad he got is HEA. If you have not started the series I suggest you start now it will not disappoint. This series is definitely a must read!!!
I'm so happy to see Matias and Rita get their HEA, and with Esteban! That threesome is AWESOME. It was great to get updates on the original five too...Andre, Grey, Lafe, Parker and Amarette! A great way to end a series.
