Obsessive Love #3

Their Deviant Love

Rate this book
Aurora
I’d endure the fiery pits of hell if it meant I could be with Connor. Although the sandy beaches and blue oceans surrounding us are far from that.
Even paradise can be torturous, though. Especially when you’re constantly looking over your shoulder, waiting for someone to storm your safe haven. Waiting for someone to steal your happiness.
When you’ve gone against not just one but two underworld families, you’re on
borrowed time. One week or one year… it doesn’t matter. Because I’d still choose us.

Connor
There won’t be a day I’m still breathing that I don’t fight for us. Fight for her.
Because the thought of something happening to her is unbearable.
They’re coming for me. I know it. Her family and mine. I’ve done the unthinkable, committed a crime even the underworld can’t overlook.
I don’t regret it, though. I’m always going to put her life above my own. I’d give
anything to give her the future she has planned for us, but I’d give even more to ensure she sees tomorrow. With or without me.

I really enjoy Kylie Kent’s books…. Usually. However I am a little disappointed in this one. There really isn’t much to it, in terms of the storyline. What there is too much of are the s*x scenes.

Way too many. It’s as if they’ve been used as a filler, to pad out the book. In fact there were so many I started to skip through them as they were getting boring. The author could have made more use of ’fade to black’ or simply removed some.

Take some of those scenes out and there really isn’t much left to this book in terms of quantity. Some re-jigging of the previous books and this could have been a great duet, instead of a great series let down by the 3rd book. I gave the other two books 5 stars. This one is more 3.7.

Having said that I love the characters. Without giving away any spoilers, was very fortuitous the way that Connor’s issue is resolved.

I waited until all the books were released before I started reading them. I’m glad I did, as if I had to wait months for the conclusion and read this I would have felt even more let down.

Awful

The 1st book in this trilogy was insane but entertaining. The 2nd was dull and pointless. This book seems like the author didn't even try. There is conflict set up but it's all handled easily and without any sort of tension. Nothing interesting happens in this book. It was boring and lifeless. Truly awful effort.

For some reason, KU didn’t push me into the review area when I finished all 3 books, so I’m writing one and then copying to the others.

With the exception of the epilogues, this entire series takes place over maybe 6 months. When I started book 1, I swore it was said they were 17. No birthdays occurred, but one day they were 18. You know those books where you’re like “and what happened in between?” None of that here, because there is no moment in the probably less than 6 months that we’re left out of. So when did they have birthdays?!?!?

I was fine with book 1. Mostly liked it. Things just went down hill from there. 18 year old mob boss? Not hot or exciting. Had Connor been 26ish…. Perfect. But 18? 😬

Aurora and Conner had the same exact conversation soooooooo many times. Ok. She’s clingy and more insecure than anyone, but enough is enough.

Book 2 didn’t really do it for me. I liked book 1 much more. But book 3? That virus thing was the dumbest thing I may have ever read. Seriously? Lame!

Ending was boring too. We already knew those 2 situations were going happen, so tell us something juicy instead.

Best part of the series - Some real funny lines/banter.

One of the two books I was highly anticipating and like the other one, this was a major let down. I really do not know what happened.

The final book in this trilogy delivered everything I wanted and more. Kylie Kent wrapped up Connor and Aurora’s story with chaos, passion, heartbreak, healing, and one of the strongest love stories I’ve read in a while.

From the start, Connor and Aurora are completely unhinged in the best, most addictive way. Their connection is explosive, intense, and filled with moments that make you stop and breathe because of lines like:
“You are the reason I breathe. You are the reason there is something in this life worth fighting for.”

Connor absolutely stole my heart in this book. I thought no one would ever dethrone Josh, but Connor… Connor became everything. Protective, loyal, devoted — even when he hated her, he still chose her. Through every secret, every danger, every betrayal, he loved Aurora fiercely.

Aurora, on the other hand, is pure strength. After everything she went through, she came out fearless, bold, and still so full of fire. Her healing journey was raw and powerful, but she never lost who she was.

Together? They were explosive. They fought for each other, they challenged each other, and yes — Kylie turned up the spice to a whole new level. Their chemistry was constant, wild, and unforgettable.

The side characters made this world feel even bigger. Savvy was the mother Aurora needed, Matteo was the heart of this found family, and every twist involving Connor’s past made the story even richer. Secrets, lies, danger at every corner — it kept the pages turning and the stakes high.

This finale tied up every thread:
• No loose ends
• High action
• High emotion
• High spice
• A true HEA after everything they survived

Following Aurora and Connor from the beginning has been thrilling, and saying goodbye to them is bittersweet. This was the perfect ending to an incredible trilogy — satisfying, emotional, and unforgettable.

If you haven’t started this series yet, this is your sign. It’s perfection.

Book three in the Obsessive Love Trilogy

Cannot be read as a standalone!
✨Book 1- Her Dark Obsession
✨Book 2- His Deadly Devotion

Trilogy Tropes:
🖤Mafia Romance
🖤Rival Families
🖤Italian X Irish mafia
🖤Forbidden
🖤V!rgin FMC
🖤Unhinged FMC & MMC
🖤She Kidnaps Him!
🖤On The Run
🖤’My Wife’

Their Deviant Love is the climatic third book in the Obsessive Love Trilogy. The trilogy follows Aurora Valentino, the most unhinged Valentino heir, she’s not afraid to unalive people for those she loves, and even maim those she does love (like the time she st@bed Connor for mouthing off at her cousin. But she did stitch him up after 😂).

Aurora has fallen for the Irish mafia prince. I don’t want to give too many spoilers but both their families aren’t very accepting of this relationship. When shit hits the fan and Aurora kidnaps Connor (yes you read that right) the Irish put a bounty on both their heads.

Their Deviant Love follows the forbidden couple, and their journey of revenge against those who have tried to harm them whilst also trying to figure out how to get back home to New York and lead the lives they’ve dreamed about.

I loved the entire trilogy and am sad to say goodbye to the Valentino’s. But looking forward to what’s next! No one writes and obsessed mafia romance quite like Kylie Kent!

"You are the reason I breathe. You are the reason there is something in this life worth fighting for"

Connor has taken hold of my heart and he won't let go. He became my favorite 😍 Josh will always be the one but for right now, Connor is everything!

He protected Aurora, he loved her through everything, even when he hated her, he was still there for her. Their journey was full of obstacles but their love was stronger and more powerful than anything else.

Aurora is such a badass! Even after everything she was still strong, fearless and fun. She went through a traumatic experience, and she needed to heal from it, but she never lost herself.

Aurora and Connor were a perfect match and they loved each other fiercely. They also fkd like bunnies 🤣 Kylie really went all out with these two 🫠🥵 The spice was hot and constant 😍

I have loved every moment of this trilogy. Savvy was such a good mom, and Matteo is just the best! He loves Aurora so much, he made it all better 🥹🩶

I'm sad it's over for the Valentinos, but it has been such an amazing wild ride 🙌🏽🫶🏽 kudos to Kylie for creating such an amazing family👏🏽

Now I need the De Bellis next Gen!! 😂

“Aurora, you can’t threaten people here. You can’t use violence. We’re normal civilians, remember?” I tell her.

“If anything happens to you, Connor, violence will become my new favorite pastime.”

We have officially come to the end of Aurora & Connor's trilogy and I am unwell with how quickly this flew by. Compared to the first 2 books of their story, this one had a lot more sexy times while he worked to find his father's missing soldiers and track down who was still trying to unalive Aurora.

Connor stepped even more into a protective role and you really do forget that these 2 are only 18. Or, really, you would if she would quit mentioning it. Aurora was strong as ever and exactly what he needed while battling everything and everyone. The more secrets that we uncovered, of his father's, had us wishing he were still alive to torture.

The ending was anticlimactic compared to their previous books, but those had ended with such bangs that it felt appropriate. After a tumultuous senior year, which is really how long this trilogy took place, the peace was needed.

Read through KU and to be honest the first in this trilogy got be hooked because Aurora was interesting enough as a side character in all the others I was looking forward to her story. So like I said, the first got me hooked, the second started great and ended okay but the third got to the point of annoying me. We get it – Aurora is a strong independent woman who is too stubborn to let ANYONE help her with ANYTHING. But come on, every time Connor wants to help her be safe – not take away or question her ability to do it but add to the security – she threatens to stab him. I ended up skim-reading some sections just to find out the answers to the open-ended happenings. This maybe should have been just two books. I have re-read/listened to almost all of Kylie Kent’s books because I just love her work (just re-read Enzo) but this one just annoyed me sorry to say. I’m glad it was free through KU.

📚 Their Deviant Love : ⭐️⭐️⭐️,5
#3
Aurora & Connor ❤️‍🔥🖤

Note de l'ensemble de la série : 3,5 ⭐️

-✨ Tropes : dark romance / mafia romance / fierce and strong MFC / mafia family dramas

- Spicy : 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Disappointing end to the trilogy this book could have been a duet. Book three is mainly smut scenes with very little story line. Finally got a bit of story line last few chapters and it was so quick ending that I feel like I have whiplash. Kylie Kent’s writing used to be amazing but feels more like she writes to churn them out without any sustenance. I was really looking forward to auroras story and it just feels rushed. Still have unanswered questions about Conner this was also the theme in the last trilogy too. I will still read what Kylie next writes but may not continue. I hope Kylie finds her passion again as this just isn’t her usual style. I am all for smut scenes but these just felt like filler so she could get her usual 32 ish chapters into the book

Her Prince Charming!

I love this story so much! Connor really loved and took care of Aurora he was truly her Prince Charming and she was his Princess! It always seem like they were on the run or someone was trying to kill them. There was alot of secerts or lies in this book but it made it more enjoyable, Like who was Conner 's half brother, then the doesy at the end,he finds out more about his mother.Conner and Aurora were only eighteen but look out for each other and didn't stray and I like that about this story,,!The only thing they didn't mention was at the end because of Conner having that disease, was it conquered? It must of bend because the story did go forward four years.I love this author too!

Only Kylie Kent can make me enjoy a trilogy. Usually duets and trilogies tend to drag and get boring along the way. Usually they could have been wrapped up in one book. While the story could be edited to fit in one book, I enjoyed all three books. Connor as a mafia boss was surprisingly believable, considering he is 18. We get more Valentino collaborations and conversations that always bring a smile to my face. I loved seeing Theo Sr, and Theo Jr, of course Matteo. But I also enjoyed seeing Savvy as a mom and the bond she had with Aurora. It makes me want to go back and read the Valentino's from where it all started. I hope to see Levi's story and so many more!

Aurora Valentino didn’t find her happily ever after easily, but she finally gets it with Connor O’Malley.

This couldn’t be more star crossed lovers, but it was fantastic. The whole trilogy moved at a good fast pace with plenty of ups and downs, and despite them being on the run and in hiding for a large majority of the series we did get a good dose of the rest of the Valentinos.

Their Deviant Love wraps it all up in a nice little bow despite all the obstacles standing in their way. The Valentinos even lend a helping hand to Connor to make sure he and Aurora can return home and live in peace.

Regardless of the mistakes that were made during their story, they were able to withstand all the obstacles and danger facing them and be an incredibly strong unit. They presented a united front against all odds and never gave in.

It was brilliant to see Aurora’s softer more fragile side and her true self that she only let Connor see, because she was too afraid to be herself even around her family. Connor’s devotion to her and his unyielding understanding of her and just how she’s perfect the way she is was beautiful to watch unfold.

All that being said and again stating how much I love this series and the book, I was left a little confused by a few events. Nothing that ruined the storyline or damaged my view of the characters. They were more of why moments. I won’t go into detail because I don’t want to give anything away or adjust your perception coming in, but for me it just seemed off.

I know Kylie said this is the end of the Valentino series. While the heirs wrapped up with Aurora nicely, the final book in the heirs’ novellas did leave me wanting more, so I hope they pop up here and there though even if Kylie is done with them. Either way I know I’ll be re-reading again because I just couldn’t get enough.

Happy Reading.

Ok so first off I absolutely loved Aurora & Connor from page one of book one to the last page of book three. These two took us on a wild twisty ride where you never knew what was coming next. This last installment had us playing guessing games multiple times and never disappointed.

I love the shorter length of Kylie Kent books so I don’t open them and get overwhelmed by the page count. It also keeps the pace and flow of the story at a more realistic level without a bunch of unnecessary filler. She has quickly become one of my absolute favorite authors.

What an incredible ending to an incredible trilogy. Their Deviant Love is the final chapter of Connor and Aurora’s love story. Following Connor and Aurora’s story has been thrilling and I’m sad to be saying goodbye to them. Over the course of their story, their love has been tested and I’m so glad they got their hea after all they’ve been through. If you haven’t started this trilogy yet, then this is your sign to start it.

Love getting lost In Kylies Universe this series is about Aurora. (Savvy & Matteos daughter from the sons of Valentino series) while the second book his deadly devotion was my favorite. I love how Connor treats and adores Aurora. I wish we would have learned more about the impact of what was in the box. Or gotten confirmation of Connor’s assumption during the last few chapters.

I wonder if there will be more on this universe in the future.

Perfection.
This was the best ending to the trilogy we could have hoped for. No loose ends, all the action (plenty of spice)... it was hard to say goodbye to the Valentinos but this was a perfect way of doing it.
We got the full picture of Aurora & Connor's adventure and of course, in true Kylie fashion, lots of banter and details along the way. Neat twists wrapped this up in fantastic execution. I'm sad to see them go, but grateful we got the tale.

The Firecracker Princess has her HEA

I’ve always loved Aurora’s character. Fierce , loyal and absolutely unhinged. My kind of friend lol. Her story couldn’t have been developed any better. From her notion of never tieing herself with anyone until she does and of course it has to be with an Irish lol. Connor and Aurora were perfect for each other. She supported him til the end and he loved her for her and let her be herself. Ma’am you knocked it out of the park !!

the final ending

Aurora is down right crazy but we still love her. Connor supports her and is her biggest cheerleader even when she’s going off the rails. This is bitter sweet since it is the last Valentino book, but Kylie did it right with these two and bringing in the other Valentino men.

Conclusion

A nice ending to the series! Aurora and Connor were really good together. I loved the twists and visiting with the rest of the Valentinos. This author always does a great job with the development of her characters. She keeps you always wanting more while you never want these families to come to an end. I look forward to the next world this author develops.

What a ride—seriously! I absolutely loved their story. The journey they went through, the love they shared, the strength they showed… it was all there from beginning to end. They never once doubted each other, and they always had each other’s backs, no matter how tough things got. Watching them push one another toward their dreams, even when the road wasn’t smooth, was honestly beautiful and so inspiring. Every obstacle they faced only made their bond stronger, and that’s what made their story so unforgettable for me.

I adored every moment of it, and now I genuinely can’t wait to see what she creates next. I’m also really hoping we get more from the Valentino family line, because I’m obsessed with them at this point—they bring so much depth, drama, and heart.
