LOVING MS.WRONG is a short, erotic story from CJ Ellisson’s Walk on the Wild Side series that focuses on a girl’s night out and one night of passion. A quick read where Carla’s friend Katrina finds herself in her darkened apartment with the sexy Marcus and a whole night to explore what it is she has been missing.

Our heroine is a woman whose sexual desires are low to non existent and Marcus is the man to prove that beneath her hardened exterior, there exists a passion and sexuality that is waiting to be released. The story focuses on trust, a back story of family pain, and the beginning of a relationship where intimacy and imagination are about to be explored.

Written from alternating first person points of view (Marcus and Katrina) the provocative storyline can be read as a stand alone and the reader does not need to read the previous instalments in CJ’s Walk on the Wild Side series to understand the premise.

This is my first book that I have read of author C.J. Ellisson and I was captured from the very beginning of “Loving Ms. Wrong”! I couldn't set it down as I wanted to know what would happen next, how the characters would respond to each other and so on. I loved that the book alternated between character points of views as the book unfolded. I like that as the story developed the characters and circumstances were realistic and relatable to real live. I am looking forward to reading C.J. Ellisson’s other books & would recommend anyone who loves a good romance story.

"Loving Ms Wrong" features an old friend as the hero - Marcus from the "Vanilla" series. A tale of "opposites attract" and finding love in unexpected places. I laughed (and occasionally sniffled) my way through this one...it was a joy to read!

This was the shortest of the books so far. Definitely a novella. Don't get me wrong it was a good quick read. Got right to the point.
Marcus was adorable, I can't wait to get more of him in the next few books.
I thought their one scene together was hot.

Loving Ms Wrong

Heather's friend Katrina and the girls go out for Carla's birthday. Katrina is introduced to Marcus. The two are complete opposites. A summer storm throws them together for the night. Who knew meeting Ms Wrong could be so right!

"Please. A guy who doesn't think his magic wang is all I need to cure my ills?"

I enjoyed the first half of this book. I liked the build up of attraction between Katrina and Marcus, the flirting, and their getting stuck together for the night. It was great watching Marcus fall for Katrina, and slowly work his way through her shell, until she felt comfortable telling him why she couldn't allow herself to be with him.

...and then Katrina revealed her deep, dark secret.

Wait. Wait. Get ready for it.

Katrina can't be with Marcus...because she doesn't feel anything during sex.

So, what, she can't feel the act, or have orgasms?

Oh, no - she can have orgasms, and even enjoys having sex.

No. When Katrina says that she doesn't feel anything during sex, she means she doesn't feel any emotional connection to the person she's having sex with.

And her attempt to cure this was to have sex with as many random people as possible, in hopes that one of them will be able to fix her.

Look, Katrina. I understand why you have your emotional disconnect from men, given what happened to your sister. I get it. I do.

But if you're having problems getting emotionally invested in a relationship, lots and lots of indiscriminate sex will not fix your problem. The problem is not the sex - there is no "magic wang" that can make you suddenly get over your sister's rape.

...except for Marcus', apparently. Because after briefly talking to Marcus about her problem, and having mind-blowing sex, suddenly she's all better!

It was all just so ridiculous. Between Katrina's miraculous recovery from years of emotional unbalance and her bedroom talk, there was no hope of me being able to get invested back in their romance. I was laughing way too hard to care.

Thrown together by friends and a rain storm, Katrina and Marcus become fast, fun, and flirty friends. There's only one problem. Katrina has issues from her past that prevent her from enjoying intimacy and the actual act of sex. To Marcus, that sounds like a challenge.

I love Katrina's boldness in talking about sex and per past experiences and I'm impressed with Marcus' ability to understand and have patience with her. Not only does he want to sleep with her but he wants to help her overcome these obstacles without pushing her into anything she doesn't want to do. This book is part of Walk on the Wild Side - Best Friends Books series. Fantastic!!! I can't wait to read the next book in this series. It's also a part of the steamy collection of stories in Girls Night Out: Volume 2 (GNO).

Katrina ends up opening up a lot in this book thanks to Marcus. Marcus didn’t make it easy for her, which made me love him even more. I won’t give anything away because this is a short novella, but C.J. Ellisson gives you two characters that have sparks fly at the end with each other. If you’ve read her Walk on the Wild Side novels, you will enjoy this short story about Katrina and Marcus. The title of the book fits Katrina to the ‘T’ and I loved how C.J. Ellisson gives such a problematic character some happiness. Yup…in, my opinion Katrina, was difficult. Some people may not like her, but to me, she has her reasons to be the way she is.

C.J. Ellison sure knows how to spice up your lunch hour. I started reading this during my lunch hour and had a hard time getting my thoughts together to get back to work because I wanted to read and enjoy my daydreaming of Marcus. It’s a great short read about two people brought together by circumstances they couldn’t control but it sure does turn out good for them.

Marcus and Katrina end up spending an entire evening together at her shop/living area learning a lot about each other and totally opening up. The author did a great job going back and forth each chapter from one character to the other in their point of view. It was fun hearing Katrina really open up during the course of the book and Marcus have a little change in his thoughts as well. Another great book by C.J. Ellison.

I liked this well enough, but ultimately it was too short to get really invested in the characters. Marcus was introduced in the first book as Tony's best friend. He was kind of a douche in that one, but there is a nice guy underneath and we get to meet him here. Katrina, one of Heather's friends, is out for girls night. They run into Tony and Marcus and when a huge storm strikes Marcus sees Katrina home safely and they get to know each other. Katrina's 180 from girl who cares nothing about sex to being hot for Marcus seemed too rushed to me. I get that it's a short story, but it didn't quite gel. I did like the end, no declarations of love, but a nice "let's see where this goes".

P.S. I do love this cover!

WOW!!!! I just finished reading a novella from C.J. Ellisson, an author I'm reading for the first time, and it was fantastic.
That is how a short story should be written. She was able to add humor, real life emotions, and a steady build up of sensual tension in a few chapters that leaves the reader screaming for more. "Loving ms Wrong" that was way to short for me, that can't be it!!!! I want/need more of Marcus and Katrina story, and their friends and families. This is part of a series C. J. Ellisson is writing.
Yah!!! I will definitely read more of her work :-)
This was also an ARC from the author, thank you It was a pleasure to read and review :)

Next in C. J. Ellisson's Wild Side Series is Loving Ms. Wrong. I don't know if I agree with the title, it seems like Katrina is pretty much Ms. Right for Marcus. Marcus and Katrina are both characters that have come into play in the other Wild Side Books. Marcus was going to need someone to show him his weaknesses and Katrina, with her quirkiness seems to be the woman that has the skills to get under his skin. In the process, Katrina does a lot of introspection as well. Both characters are made for each other in ways they wouldn't have imagined. A great afternoon read!

This story is part of the Walk on the Wild Side series. Marcus, Tony's best friend, finally gets his story. C.J. has a way with her writing that just pulls you in and leaves you begging for more. The sexual tension is what makes this book so amazing. Of course everyone loves a good sex scene, but sometimes you just need that build up so that when that sexy scene happens you're just as satiated as the characters...C.J. Ellisson does that with this book and still manages to leave you wanting it to never end! I am truly looking forward to more of the lovable characters C.J. creates.

C.J. Ellisson does it again! This book kept my interest from page one till the very end.

The Characters seem like people who I know in my own life. Marcus and Katrina are gotten together by friends and the weather-a rain storm. They go well together and the story was written in the way that it all flowed easily and I just couldn't put it down.

The sex scenes had build up which I think all sex scenes should have! I had to drink a very cold beverage a few times to lower my temp. The book in general was great! I hated to see it end!

I can't wait to read more from this author!

Though I felt there was some lacking details in the characters that would have made this story better, it doesn't ruin the book for me. I thought this was a hot little short to read! I really enjoyed the complete opposites attract part of it. There was an attraction there that played well into the story instead of just "Hey you're hot, let's do it." If you want something sexy and quick to read, pick this up!

Marcus is looking for a woman with her career in place, but winds up escorting Katrina home. He realizes Katrina is hiding her emotions. I really enjoyed Loving Ms. Wrong. I have read CJ Ellisson before and love her writing. This novella does not disappoint except that I would have liked to read more about Marcus and Katrina. It was a quick fun read about an unlikely couple who meet under unusual circumstances. I will continue to read this author's books. I love them.

A short read that I quickly devoured. Katrina goes out one night with Carla and the girls. She meets Marcus and has the pleasure of him driving her home. A storm hits and keeps Marcus stranded there. Luckily they have a dice to play with. Chivalry is not dead and amazingly Marcus proves there is more to him than meets the eye.

base on the description of the book, I thought this would be a lot steamier. the description said "...Sparks fly when the two meet, courtesy of a 12-sided sex dice and a night neither one will ever forget." - I expected more sex scenes and less talking.
The novella was good - no doubt about it, but I expected more.

Being a fan of C. J. Ellisson's books I wasn't disappointed by her latest offering. Although it's a short story there were plenty of background details to help tell the story of a brief but beautiful meeting under unusual circumstances. Definitely worth a read.

Apart from errors in spelling (the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating), I thoroughly enjoyed this quick story. I have enjoyed all four books so far and hope C.J. writes more.
