Read 2025 - I like that this book took a break from the Game Master but of course, by the end, it picked back up with Dean walking into Emma's house with Sebestian McDonnell (I don't really remember where he falls in the Game Master case though).

In this book, Nadia and her daughter Amelia (9) move into her friend Lisa's house after a nasty divorce from her ex-husband Brent. Nadia starts working at a gas station/ motel after stopping there one night on her way to Lisa's. She makes friends with the other two girls who work there, Maren and Christy. But soon, Nadia starts getting harassing texts and phone calls but the police won't do anything about it. In the midst of all of this, she gets a promotion to manager for another gas station owned by the same guy, Mel, as the first gas station/ motel.

She likes the job but she's still getting the harassing texts and calls. She does meet a man named Lennon and after a while, they go on a date. One day though, Maren turns up missing and Christy is in the hospital after being almost beaten to death. Nadia is scared and extremely worried about her friends when one night, she is working but is called by someone wanting a night at the motel so she drives over to the other gas station and is attacked by the person who called. Through security footage, she sees that it was Ron who attacked her. Ron was Maren's boyfriend that she broke up because she found out he was already dating a woman who was married (she broke up with him before she went missing). But Nadia is certain it was Ron who attacked her. After that, Maren's body is discovered and she was beaten to death. Nadia is understandably shaken. By this time, Lisa has called Emma in to help. Lisa and Emma are friends from college and Lisa knows she can help.

At one point, Nadia and Amelia move in with Lennon because she is still getting harassing texts and calls and after her friend was murdered, another friend almost murder and Nadia herself almost murdered, she is trying to change things up. But while at Lennon's, she discovers that he is behind all the harassment and attacks. By this time, Emma has figured out that Lennon has been going by different aliases in different locations for a while attacking women so just has he's about to attack Nadia for the second time, Emma burst through the door and rescues Nadia.

After that, Nadia continues to live with Lisa. It doesn't say if she continues to work at the gas station or anything else. But again, it was a nice break from the Game Master and some parts were suspenseful.

The Girl on the Run(Emma Griffin FBI Mystery Book 33)

OMG!!!!!!!! This book was so beyond amazing, it was scary. I can't believe the cases that Emma has managed to solve and this one was no different, it just starts off strange and gets stranger, she is still looking for the game master, and then she gets a call from an old friend, who needs her advice. Her friend has another friend that is being stalked and the police can't help, so Emma agrees to hear her out. That is when things get strange, but Emma and the police figure things out, but not before one young lady is murderer and one is severely attacked. I can't wait to read the next book.

Nadia is a single mother trying to make a new life for her and her young daughter. She stumbles into a new job soon after arriving in town and slowly starts building a life for her and her daughter. But then the creepy messages start. As things get worse and more dangerous, FBI Agent Emma Griffin is contacted by Nadia's friends Lisa to help. What Emma uncovers is more twisted than she can believe.

This book was so good! It is now my favorite Emma Griffin book!

Another good one

I will never get tired of this series. I devour each book as soon as it comes out and then hungrily wait for the next one. Emma has changed so much from the first book, yet she's still the same inside. And I love the whole cast of characters who have become family in the course of 33 books.

Disappointed

I enjoy these books. The new story was engrossing and kept me involved, but the continuing story is taking too long. First , its too long between books. Trying to connect to last book gets, confusing. Then it just gets choppy and disconnected. I will continue reading the series, but something needs to be resolved.

Emma does it again

This book surprised me. I was ready for one story, but another one comes about and I cannot stop reading. Emma never let's me down with the way she can figure out a crime and solve the case. I have followed her since the first book and I never am disappointed in her,

Your Books

Good story about a woman beginning a new life. A lot of good things happen for Nadia. Those intimidating text messages were awful. Nobody could help her. She had to find out it was her friend Lennon. It was a good thing Emma got there and Amelia dialed 911. Great novel!

Best, most intense series!

Whoa! Just when it seems things are wrapping up, there’s another bomb dropped! This one was a little, okay, a lot, spooky. Intense all the way through, nail-biting beyond the end, A.J. Rivers always leaves you ready for the next one. Can’t get enough!

Very good story. It showed how an individual could do a lot of damage to different individuals due to being able to change looks and personality.

Good reading

Liked the suspense and drama filled book. I had a feeling that the great ,friendly, good looking guy was going to be shifty. Or the other s word comes to mind to. He sounded like the guy next door, but that is usually what happens. Can't wait for the next book.

very disquieting perpetrator

Very few crumbs regarding the Game Master, but a puzzling case of harassment, subterfuge and homicide pull Emma to the home town of a prior victim/survivor.

Move along....

I did not like that it was basically 2 books in one. The game master has dragged out, what, 3 books now? Wrap it up, I am losing interest.

Suspenseful

Great storyline. I liked how the two main characters had separate storylines that were woven together and kept the suspense high until the very end.
