Book 3 in the Teton Romance Trilogy Life for Lucas Walker is a constant adventure, a daily game to be won in the vast Teton wilderness. Facing every challenge head-on, he values the freedom to go where he wants, when he wants, and without attachments to any one person. She is known to the native people of the land as Ghost Woman. Hiding from a terrifying past, she has lived alone and under conditions too harsh for even the hardiest men. Trusting another person is something she can’t do. Forced to put her life in the hands of a man who dares her to confront everything from which she’s tried to escape, she struggles to protect the walls she has built around her identity . . . and her heart. I never thought I'd be a writer, much less publish a book some day. I always wanted to be a veterinarian. I guess life just had other plans for me. When my husband and I decided to start a family, vet school pretty much went out the window. I used to work with a vet who had three children while going through vet school. To this day, she is my hero.

I live with my husband and two teenage sons in southern California. I have a Welsh pony and a miniature horse (down-sized from a barn of six horses). A crazy Labrador retriever who is a food vacuum, three cats, two parakeets, four bearded dragons (my compromise with my sons when they wanted a snake), and a small flock of chickens complete our menagerie of critters. I can’t imagine my life without my animals. My dream is to live in Montana some day.

Four years ago, I began writing a story that, for whatever reason, was stuck in my head for almost a year. I have been an avid romance reader for a long time, and the idea took hold to - why not? - write my own! What a simple idea, right?
It has been a long and difficult journey from my first sentence to a completed, and hopefully polished, manuscript. Today, I have a completed series of 5 books and a novella in what I called The Yellowstone Romance Series, two books in my new Second Chances Time Travel Romance Series, and I am currently working on the final book in a trilogy set in the Grand Tetons.

I enjoyed the audio version of this trilogy!

These three books were incredible! They're descriptions of the rugged terrain, the native Americans, the cities of Boston and St. Louis, and the steamboat trip were spot on! The growing love of the different couples and trials they endured are the kind of stories that lead to legends! There were a few mild sex scenes, but even in the audio version, they're easy to skip if you feel the need! The narrator did a beautiful job portraying the Native Americans, the French trappers, the children, the city folk and the Mountain Men! A difficult task in my opinion! I was extremely impressed and completely absorbed into this series! I'm so glad they were combined into one audiobook!!

Wonderful final addition to an exciting historical romance trilogy! The chemistry between Lucas and Tori is electric, humorous, and guaranteed to keep you happily engaged with their story until the last page. The dramatic backdrop of the Grand Teton area bisected by the Snake river is painted in such descriptive detail that I was magically transported to each and every destination depicted in the book. Each book in the Teton Romance Trilogy can be read as a stand alone, but why not indulge yourself and read the entire series? Trust me, you'll be so happy you did.

Teton Sunset

Wow I loved reading this story so many emotions going on that you can't help but feel them too. Honestly I can't big this up enough you really have to read for yourselves. Vic or Tori as she soon becomes after meeting Lucas finds herself alone in the vast wilderness of the mountains after her father dies. Tori gets into some trouble with a wild animal and Lucas helps to say her life not that she wants his help. But Lucas feels instantly protected of her.

It's difficult to know how to begin saying how much I love this book! The Teton series has been wonderful, but this last instalment is my favourite by far. A large part of the reason for that can be summed up in two words: Lucas Walker ;)

When I wrote reviews for both Teton Sunrise and Teton Splendor I notice that I said I was "a little bit in love" with Alex and Joseph. Well, I'm a lot in love with Lucas! In him Peggy Henderson has created, in my opinion, her most appealing male character. (He's even knocked Chase Russell from Yellowstone Redemption into second place in my heart, which has taken some doing.) Lucas is confident, bossy, cheeky, a bit arrogant and full of himself, a skilled mountain man and so much more. Oh, and he's gorgeous of course! What's not to love? However he has no intention of falling prey to the "affliction" he has seen his brother suffer from. He'll never let a woman capture his heart and tie him down.

From the first mention of her though we know that the "Ghost Woman" will be the one to win his heart and cause him to change his mind. As we meet and get to know her, we can see that she's Lucas' perfect match. Plenty of sparks fly between the two of them, and Peggy has written a beautifully intense and passionate romance that I know readers will love. As is to be expected though our hero and heroine go through many adventures together before they finally reach their happily ever after.

As always Peggy uses the beautiful and rugged wilderness setting to its full advantage. The landscape and the inhabitants (both human and animal) all make an appearance. Everything is crafted together to bring readers a wonderful story that you just won't want to put down.

There is only one bad thing that I can say about this book and that is that eventually you reach a page that says "THE END". This is doubly bad as it not only signals the end of this breathtaking story, but also the end of a wonderful series. The only thing for it is to go back to the beginning and start all over again.

Teton Sunset (Teton #3)
By: Peggy Henderson
5/5 stars

Lucas Walker has always been the wilder of the two Walker boys, who always believed that he was never going to settle down. He loves the adventure of his lifestyle, the freedom to come & go and wander for as long as his heart desires. He wants to live his life how he pleases and not have a woman that he has to check in with or be beholden to.

Known as Ghost Woman to both the Bannock & Blackfoot tribes, she wanders the mountains morning a love one. She is respected among the Natives as a Spirit, and therefore she’s earned a protected status among them. Ghost Woman is running from her past and cannot let her true self be known. She’s been able to live and survive the harsh wilderness in the Tetons, where even the toughest of men struggle to survive, all alone for some time.

But when it comes to a life and death situation, Lucas is there and has all the skill and ability to save her life, many times over. But most of their interactions are like oil and water. They fight and annoy each other. But they also come to depend on each other, even if secrets are still being hidden. The time will come when all will be revealed.

Lucas doesn’t realize that his feelings are deep and that he is falling in love. He just knows that he’d give his life to save Ghost Woman and she is a definite distraction while he’s trying to get them to safety. There are many forces working against them, and they have the constitution to survive but sometimes luck isn’t on their side.

WOW! This book was truly GREAT!! So glad I had the entire Trilogy! One of those times that I didn't want the books to end! I was excited to read this book, but yet hesitant because I didn't want the story to end!
I love historical romance -- particularily those set in the western United States! Being set in the Teton's of Wyoming, this trilogy caught my eye! This story is set in a time and place that I would have loved to have been a part of! Book three is set just after the time of fur traders, mountain men, and the famous mountain men rendezvous! Of course book 3 is about the other brother -- who was "never gonna fall in love" -- of course you know he is going to, but the story still doesn't disappoint!
I truly loved the fact that the author had done her research and used some very famous people from the exploration days of the United States -- Dr. Fernindad Hayden has never been named in any other historical romance I've read -- but I know him and know what he did for this country! The author could very well have thrown in Lewis and Clark or some other well known explorer, but the fact that she used a lesser known, but still a very integral character in the exploration of the west -- impressed me!
While I'm not against a well written love scene, I'd much prefer an awesome romance, and this one didn't disappoint! Wish the stories could go on! Headed off to read the Yellowstone books now!

This is a wonderful fun story full of adventure and suspense and of course a growing romance that has its bumps or should I say mountains to overcome.
Lucas is a handsome rugged man that has lived in the mountains all of his life. He surely doesn't want to get entangled with a woman.
Tori has been living in the harsh mountains with her father for the past four years, learning how to survive and stay safe from everything wild and also from her past.
Lucas will drive you crazy with his talking and his ways. He has a lot to learn when it comes to a woman, especially a strong, stubborn, independent, beautiful woman in buckskins.
You will love Tori, and envy her in her living so free in the Teton mountains. She will try and sound tough on the outside, but she is all women and heart on the inside.
When they are both together, nothing ever seems to go right. Sparks fly, arrows fly, and so do emotions that either one of them understand.
The story is full of suspense and I was holding my breath in the last half. Lots of surprises that won't let you put this book down. I didn't want it to end.
I highly recommend this story that will take you away into an adventure of love that you can only dream about.

Teton Romance Trilogy by Peggy L. Henderson

I love the way Peggy L. Henderson describes her characters and their interactions as well as the beautiful scenery in such vivid detail in the Teton Romance Trilogy. I highly recommend this author as one of the best writers of romantic western history and time travel (see also the Yellowstone Romance Series). This series [Teton Sunrise (Teton Romance Trilogy, #1), Teton Splendor (Teton Romance Trilogy #2), Teton Sunset (Teton Romance Trilogy, #3)] does tie into the Yellowstone Romance series but you do not need to read them first to enjoy this series although I do highly recommend that series also. Thank you again Ms. Henderson for another wonderful book.

3-4 stars. Though the ending was better, it just wasn't the same as many of the others of this author.

I will still be a fan & continue reading her books.

Thinking reading in time order might be the best way...

I really enjoyed this book, as I have all Ms Henderson's books. She captures the reader early on, and keeps you interested throughout. It doesn't hurt that she sets her books in some of my favorite places in the country. Hate to see them end. I could just keep reading! I look forward to my next Henderson adventure.
