The mysterious man sits in my date’s seat, and now I’m suddenly his…

After losing my entire family, I moved from Wisconsin to New York to start afresh. The problem? Making friends in a new city is nearly impossible and the dating pool is tragic. An awful situation for a romantic like me.

Then he showed up, pinning me with a heat-filled gaze that made my breath catch.

Roman Trent.

He was the last man I’d ever want to be involved dangerous, grumpy and so rich he practically owned half the city. Surely a man like that only loves money and power?

When he asked me to be his wife right after I met him, however, the lover girl in me said yes. But I was in over my head and now Roman won’t let me go. And I don’t know if I really want him to, either…

It started off so well.. then it crashed and burned. I hated Roman so much.. for a guy head over heels he did some dumb shit. He could've just been honest or not do stuff to make his wife think he was unfaithful.

And Alex girl i felt pity for her. I'm proud she ran away twice.. but girl should've stood her ground. Separated in bedrooms, I ignored him more.

Saftey-so MMC comes home smelling like a woman. He said nothing happens he humiliates the FMC at a restaurant to make sure his cover isn't blow. He said he never cheated. But letting a woman touch you? Naw. He deserved to grovel for making her think he cheated

Eh

Not the worst book I’ve ever read but I almost DNF’d it. It was WAY too rushed and could have used 100-200 more pages. The writing it’s self wasn’t terrible but lacked finesse. The story could have been very good and captivating.

Just no.
Novella where the hero falls in its love with the orphaned heroine.
He’s a rich tycoon that deals in buildings and constructions but apparently he deals with mob bosses and not other businessmen because he kills and hides his business to the heroine.
She finds him out with ow and other men and he humiliates her in front of everyone. He reeks with ow perfume every night and refuses to give explanation.
She runs, he follows her and takes her back home because the book must end at page 103. Basically he admits he’s forced to kill and maim people because construction in the USA is made by some mob bosses so he pretended to have ow to try to protect the heroine from those mob bosses attention.
Sigh.

The book have a great start seriously. Even tho it seems a bit odd because love at first sight and the hero immediately just make her his and the story just escalated so quickly (quickly like super quick). But then in the middle of the story it turns into a sh*tty scenes!

Like what the actual fvck.

I was like WTF?!!!
I gonna make this super quick. So after the hero immediately make the heroine his and they immediately got married in a few days later… And btw they got married so quickly because the hero said “Our new life together started immediately as I intended it to. Everything she ate reflected how valuable she was.” And “Will you be my wife, even though I just met you?”
And she said yes.”. Okay i love that idk why but i just love a immediate love story like that too for some reason🤣 but then it turns into a wrecking ball all of a sudden…
ONE STRANGE DAY the hero just acting so distant and so cold to the heroine. The heroine immediately feels odd and want to know something about him, so she start digging and take action! She follow him with his sister with her, and she found him talking to a group of man. BUT THE HERO WAS WITH A WOMAN AND HE LET THE WOMAN TOUCH HIS BACK. ONLY HIS BACK THO… NOTHING MORE… BUT STILL!!!! THE FVCK!!!
He also start saying sh*t that made the heroine runaway and literally runs away out of the freakin state. The hero obviously chase her down and found her… “I mean, I like how she’s shown me she’s a little crazy and dramatic, and I’ll make sure never to fuck with her again in the future, but damn. I broke twenty-plus vases back home whenever calling her went to voicemail.”.
He then confessed the most RIDICULOUS STUPIDITIES CONFESSION EVER.
He said that he was cold and distant and let a woman touch him like that with his friends because MANY ENEMIES WANT TO HURT THE HEROINE… SO HE START BEING COLD AND LET FEW WOMAN TOUCH HIM ONLY LIKE THAT AND HAVING ANOTHER WOMAN WITH HIM DURING MEETINGS SO THE ENEMIES WILL THINK THAT THE HEROINE IS NOTHING… “Every single fucking person who even dared to threaten your life, I killed them. Snuffed out their lives. They threatened you and wanted to take you away from me. There's no way I was letting that happen.” Some of the anger dissipates. “I can’t let you go, Alexandra. I just – I just can’t. Please. Please don't leave me.”.
He said NOTHING HAPPENED with the women he bring to because he only love her and want her… he said he did all of that to protect her… cause he love her so much 😅 “There were no other women. There have never been any other women. Nothing happened between me and her. Nothing.”.

But still why do it tho?
Why the hero have a stupid thoughts like this? He is a businessman but he is so stupid with his own personal business for sure 😒😒😒

The heroine is a virgin, the hero is a billionaire and also a bit of a mafia boss as well and buys her everything immediately. Spoiled her a lot and his family is amazing to her. He is possessive and obsessed with her… But stil… The drama in here is too childish and unnecessary 😒

Three stars for the heroine being a virgin, the hero is a billionaire and happy ending…

Yes happy ending with a child 😉

The story is a quick one as well tho fyi 😙

Idk but the whole unnecessary childish things just ruin the whole book for me… I love a quick safe love story but this one is a bit stupid for me.

⚡️⚡️⚡️THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING MY REVIEW. Even if you hate my review i still say thank you so much cause you spend your time reading this one👻 I’m not a professional reviewer or professional reader. I’m just someone who likes to read novels that is safe and no cheating whatsoever. And many more that i like lol😆 I DID NOT GET PAID TO DO THIS. This is just basically me writing my review based on my personal opinion about the book if it’s safe or what I will write it all down just the way i like it 😏 I know my review can be very straightforward with the way i write it down all of it and not a professional writing because again I’m not professional reviewer anyway. And whatever negativity you might think of what i write or what my thoughts are on my review about a book, me and you are not the same person. I have my own types of book and you have your own. You have your own thoughts and same with me. You can’t control what I should write on my review and neither should I. I WILL NOT TOLERATE NEGATIVE COMMENT AND I WON’T EVER REPLIED TO IT. If you still don’t like what i write and my disclaimer here, IT’S A YOU PROBLEM. NOT MINE😙 HAVE A GREAT DAY❤️❤️❤️

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

Not bad, but it definitely could've been better. I don't know how I feel about how he just glossed over spending time and being seen with multiple OW to throw off his enemies. I still feel like that is cheating regardless of his reasons, and she let him get away with the easy explanation. I would've liked to see more...well, more. More detail about what he was doing with these OW when he was out so late and returning to his marital bed smelling like them. Definitely more grovel for that. He needed to understand how fucking hurtful that was. Less emphasis on how rich they are.

It was fine. It was love at first sight, let's get married and have sex all the time book. I didn't like how it was advertised as lovers to enemies to lovers and it was not. The biggest trope was miscommunication, and a little agnst.

Good but not great needs details, The story was cute but the flow was odd. This had the potential to be an amazing book but it was just too rushed. No character development, the story storyline was rushed, and just too many holes. Sadly disappointing and wish it had been better. Some areas seemed excessively detailed/slow for a novella and other areas felt rushed. Lots of focus on the cost of items which made it flow not as well in my opinion. The relationships and dialogue could’ve been developed more. I finished the book in 45 minutes

This book is definitely… one of a kind. I’ve never read anything like this before, and hopefully I never will again. A complete dumpster fire from the start, and after chapter 1 I wanted to DNF. I, out of spite, decided to push through and finish just to write this review. It was so incredibly rushed, with typos, no plot, and just plain bad. The main characters had no personality; Alexandra wanted love but other than that, we didn’t get any other personality traits. Roman is just a big “scary” man who takes what he wants and has the personality of a rock. I wish the author gave us more, the timeline was less than a year & I got whiplash from it. The story had potential for sure but it was so poorly executed. 1/5 ⭐️

Almost DNF. Has potential to be good but the author must have no financial knowledge. Lots emphasis on how much things cost throughout the book which are very unrealistic. I get it we don’t read for reality but this was so far from reality that it was hard to ignore. Also absolutely no groveling at all just I love you baby and I’m sorry then all is forgiven. SMH. I’m so tired of these weak women. All in all the author has potential this just wasn’t it this time.

Yours Suddenly de Charm Harlow

Argumento:

Yours Suddenly was about 25-year-old Roman Trent, a young billionaire who owned multiple hotels, and 22-year-old Alexandra Brooke (no known position for her.).

After an accident suddenly claimed the lives of both her parents and her 16-year-old sister Evie, she needed a change of scenery, so she moved from Wisconsin to New York. Two years later while she was on a date with an admittedly terrible guy, she met Roman when he took her date's seat while the other guy used the facilities. When he took her home later, he asked her to marry him, to which she responded in the affirmative. He took her to his home that night and introduced her to his family the next morning as his soon-to-be wife, and they all accepted her with open arms. Later that morning, they were married at City Hall. Everything seemed to just blissfully fall into place, and they were all happy. (Sorry, but this already fell into the realm of surrealism.)

Two months into their marriage, things started to change. Roman slowly began pulling away and became more distant as time passed, which caused Alex to begin fearing the worst. He began working more, sleeping less, and rarely spending time with her, creating a paranoia she couldn't overlook.

Once Roman stopped being the man she married and returned home late one night smelling of another woman, Alex's doubts grew to the point she decided to follow him to wherever he might be to "surprise him". Except, she was the one surprised when she found him in a bar surrounded by businessmen...and a woman draped all over him. When she confronted him, he asked her why she thought she'd be the only woman in his life..." a man of my caliber?". She turned, left the hotel/bar, called for an Uber and, although he was calling/texting her immediately, she headed for the airport without ever responding to him. Two days later, Roman found her on the other side of the country. After dealing with things that happened to her, Roman flew her back to New York.

While this book had the expected angst, drama, push/pull, and controversy, it lacked continuity and more. The flow of the story was choppy, the grammatical errors were plentiful, and the plot was more than a little hokey. The fact that the book was only 20 chapters long meant that there wasn't enough time in the storyline for any true development. It moved too fast for the heaviness of the events that took place. There was also the fact that everyone loved everyone...except for the enemy, who seemed to be more than plentiful but rarely put in an appearance. It was all too simple for such a heavy storyline.

The premise of this story was supposedly based on being mafia-ish, but it came across more like kids playing at being bad guys trying to be good. It was more disappointing than enjoyable. The author presented Roman in such a convoluted way that didn't make a lot of sense. He eliminated anyone who made threats towards Alex, but then he turned around and dated other women to throw his enemies off her scent, to make them believe she meant nothing to him. An author can't have it both ways. Either he was a ruthless killer, feared by all, or he was so insecure that he had to pretend to wh*re around on his wife to make her less threatened by his enemies. As for Alex, she came across as TSTL and wishy-washy.

Neither of the main characters had any room for growth since the story was so short. It needed 50 pages or more added so the author could let them develop fully. Unfortunately, all of the characters came across as teenagers pretending to be adults. Too much of the book was left for guesswork and it wasn't fun.

Other things about the book made it less desirable. There were many unresolved issues, some resolved without ever being on the page, and others were mentioned and then forgotten, causing the story to flop around like a fish out of water.

I only gave this a three-star rating because the whole thing felt incomplete...like a manuscript that got published before it was ready. It would be interesting to see if the author reworks the storyline and maybe adds to it.

Good idea, but…

Spoilers ahead:

The writing in *Suddenly Yours* felt quite amateur, more like a rough outline than a fully developed novel. I finished it in about an hour and a half, which says a lot about its length and depth. The characters didn’t feel fully formed — their backstories and interactions lacked the kind of development that makes fictional people feel real. A lot of the story’s events just... happen, without much buildup or context.

For instance, the party at the end comes completely out of the blue. Suddenly the characters are talking about getting a dress, and the reader is left wondering when this event was even introduced. Similarly, the MMC’s coldness early on is never really explained. We’re told he had to act indifferent in public, but that doesn’t justify why he’s distant in private too.

There are also some logistical leaps that pull you out of the story — like the main character hopping on a commercial flight right after catching him with another woman. Did she even have ID? And then she gets a job within 24 hours despite not having any personal documents? It all feels a bit rushed and unrealistic.

The emotional resolution is also a bit too convenient — she forgives him incredibly fast and he doesn’t really explain why it happened or say he’s sorry. Overall, the story has potential, but it needs a lot more development. It reads like a first draft, or something you might come across on Wattpad — a promising concept that just needs to be fully fleshed out.

A TikTok find I was super excited about the quote that made me want to read it was

“Baby,” he says, “did you honestly think that you were going to be the only woman? A man of my caliber?”

I was shocked and wanted badly to read a story about a woman getting even with a man for thinking his shit didn’t stink instead I got a great first chapter that I was stuck to like glue and than it just plummeted after that….
It was so weird and fast like how do you just get married to a man you just met who threatened to kill the guy you were on a date with.. The whole I seen her and wanted her thing was dope loved it but it was done poorly like go on some dates make her love you something it was just I seen you now your mines
And randomly in them getting married she mentions he was her first and it was confusing tbh…
The fact that she let that man in the stable kick her in the neck and did nothing made me wanna punch her in the throat js…
This story had all the makings of a great book if it was written differently with more depth to it and had like 200 more pages
Do Not Recommend sorry 😞

Well this is weird,I’m so confused and I just started 😶
Like bro I understand it’s fiction and all but girl you really just followed a stranger and even married him!!!like bro I’m just in page 29😭what is going on?? Maybe it will get better or something as I progress?🥲I hope cause wtf is going on
Okay I finished the book and it wasn’t too bad towards the end,the book was a too short with only 130 pages. And the drama was much😂like sis is always hearing him say bad things about her 😂like the time she saw another woman flirting with him and he said
“Baby,” he says, “did you honestly think that you were going to be the only woman? A man of my caliber?”
Like!!! She left and he came to beg her and all blah blah but she heard him say this again another time
“Roman makes an annoyed, dismissive sound. “There is no love,” he says. “She is just a wife. I have yet to experience this true love you talk about. If that's ever going to happen, then that woman hasn’t come into my life yet.” A pause. “My wife… she makes a good, loyal partner. That's it.”
Like bro I understand that you’re doing all this to protect her but geez saying all this in front of business partners is kind of humiliating for her 🤦‍♀️and there was so much misunderstanding, like some things could have been avoided if he just opened up to her
Anyways I didn’t really like the story and the spicy scenes are so cringe and a little degrading so no…

I almost DFN this book but I made myself read the whole thing which is short compared to other books I’ve read. This is one of the most ridiculous books I think I have ever read. A lot of grammatical errors, that I have found but the story was just so way over the top and not believable at all. There is no way there is insta love and marriage in less than 24 hours. I don’t know if the author was trying to rush the story or what. Might have been a good one if it had start off with them meeting and dating a little while first and getting to know each other or something but this was just all over the place and a big mess and that is just my opinion. Only took a couple of hours to read. I doubt I will read any more by this author but hopefully they will take there time in the future and not rush in writing. Did not like this one at all but it could have been so much better.

I tried really hard to get into this book because I like the trope idea but the writing left a not great taste in my mouth. It feels like it’s not paced well at all.
First thing you read is bout her family’s death, but it’s so rushed and it’s not realistic to me at all. Then suddenly you’re reading bout her on a date and it’s a crude date. I wish she had stood up for herself a little more. Then there’s a stranger sitting there and then takes her to an unknown second location. But don’t worry the FMC is cool with this stranger taking her to a second location.
Over all the story is rushed and one I’m ok with not reading the whole thing.

The way this could have been a hit if the writing and structure were better is insane. Everything was literally right there. The plot and the characters would have been amazing. But I am quite relieved that it is done because the female and male lead were both excruciating.

Roman, the male lead, could have saved the whole book if he were literally honest with Alexandra. All he could have done was say a sentence and boom, they live happily ever after. But of course not, he has to get shot first, lol.

Alexandra was a queen, for making him work for it. But she should’ve left long time ago. Clearly Roman was not up to the standards.

The pregnancy saved their relationship idc🤷‍♀️

The story is wonderfull, but definitely needs more work. I felt like the story was rushed, because they were married for like… three months and he “cheated”. Then it felt that Alex acted like they have been married for years.

For me personally this book needs more logic, or more chapters explaining Roman’s point of view. Because it just doesn’t make sense, from Roman’s chapters he definitely loves Alex from the start. But then he turns 360 and hurts her.

I loved that the whole family was excepting of Alex and I think the parts with them should have been more deeper since Alex loves them too.

Giving it 3 stars, because I know this book could be better. 😄

Roman Trent and his wife Alexandra Trent.

Roman Trent is a dangerous, handsome, deadly, and ruthless businessman unbeknownst to his wife, Alexandra Trent. This man kills, lie, and steal business deal to feed his family. To get money of a rich billionaire. Roman, he had to become a monster. To deal with monsters. To protect his family, especially his wife he loved at first sight. Roman takes his wife, Alexandra off her feet with charming, romantic, and seductive nature he possesses. Then, they married. I enjoyed this book so much. I want more by this Author Charm Harlow

The book itself is not something I have a problem with, although i have bone to pick with how rushed it is. It's the characters both main characters lack depth or any personality they are so flat it hurts.
The character of roman only trait being a asshole, and Alex's being a romantic. Classic grumpy x sunshine but doesn't add anything new to the classic trope. At the beginning it felt like I was reading wattpad it just didn't flow that smoothly. I wouldn't read it again just because the book felt undeveloped.

Sweet

I was expecting something a bit more realistic, it was more sweet and fictional than I expected. However, it was still a very entertaining story, with a sweet lovely couple, miscommunication trope to the max, super fast paced and very light spice. If you're looking for a quick read with a good plot, some romance, low on smutt, and easy to read then I recommend this book, happy reading!
