I'm not sure how to feel about this story. The main couple who I'm supposed to root for and hope they have a HEA, were not likable. Majority of the characters here are awful. Except for... Fuzzy. The main couple had so many red flags and it felt forced. Even unhealthy. The whole brother best friend trope doesn't play much here. Anders use to be best friends with Claudia's older brother. Not anymore. Anders is now an author, movie producer, and he happens to run into Claudia in their hometown. She wants to be an actress and he offers her an opportunity to be an extra on his first movie. They get involved, she's had a crush on him, and then... he's gone. Why you ask? Her parents. She's 20 and he's 26 at the time. Her parents are still mad about some past thing with Anders' mean Dad. Anders likes Claudia but leaves her behind with a ton of cash.
Fast forward 4yrs and Claudia goes to Hollywood. They run into each other again. She then goes from being jobless to boom, big budding actress on a hot and upcoming film by you know who. The majority of the book takes place in the twisted game of the glam life. Claudia for me, is immature. There's no growth to her. She's bratty and impulsive. Anders is no better. He's temperamental, controlling, focused only on himself, has a big ego, and wants to make the best movie ever. Why are these two even together? It's a hot mess.🙈 They're together one minute then they argue and it's over. Yes. No. Together again. Nope. We're not. But we have to make it a secret. Let's try again. It got to the point that I didn't care much anymore. The plot was choppy at best. It was a struggle to read tbh. Too many OTT moments added just to be added, I guess. There's spice, but for me, there was no real emotional connection. Question. Is Anders a former Marine or Navy Seal? You enlist in one or the other separately. Not together. Overall, it's 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

The book captured my attention from my first glance at the cover. The cover model immediately draws your attention with his sensuous, inviting look. Anders owns an entertainment company and is a writer and producer. Anders is from Lafayette, a small town in Indiana who goes to Hollywood and makes it big. The story starts with Anders returning to his hometown of Lafayette to make a movie loosely based on his time in the Marines. He spots Claudia in a coffee shop and talks with her. While Anders is reminiscing with Claudia, we find out that Anders used to be best friends with Kurt, Claudia’s brother, when they were in high school; that Claudia’s father used to work for Anders’ father; and that Anders’ father was a discriminatory a$$ho!e. Anders offers Claudia an extra role in his movie. They have a night together, but then he disappears. Claudia later gets a lead role in one of Anders’ movies and they are reunited. While their chemistry is scorching hot, there is so much back and forth with their relationship that it is hard to follow their story. Off, on, off, on…so many reasons, so many twists. It gets exhausting. I usually love anything that Lily Cross writes, but I just had a tough time with these characters. I did enjoy the book, but I didn't always like how either Anders and Claudia acted or treated each other. Sometimes the plot feels choppy. I was confused as to why Claudia would go the Purdue University campus in Ft. Wayne when she could have saved money going to the West Lafayette campus instead. Overall, this is a high angst, small age gap, friends to lovers, Hollywood romance with a lot of twists. It is an interesting read.

Anders used to be her brother's best friend, and Claudia's secret crush, so when she sees him again now she is all grown, she is not surprised that her feelings haven't changed.
Claudia wants to be an actress and now Anders is a successful author and movie producer, he takes the opportunity to offer her an audition as an extra in his movie when a chance encounter brings them together.
After a brief liaison, Harriet finds Anders has suddenly disappeared and paid her off so no more acting in his movie.
Claudia is devastated but is still determined to follow her acting dreams, unbeknown that her parents have scared Anders away.
Four years later, and Claudia is in Hollywood when they next get to run into each other again. Again she ends up starring in one of Anders movies, but this time as the lead.
Claudia can at times be immature and impulsive but in turn Anders can be temperamental and controlling, whilst being seemingly focused only on himself. He wants the best for his movie, but is torn in respect of his feelings for Claudia and whether or not they can be together.
They start with an on again, off again relationship until they reach the point that they can't tear themselves away from each other despite her contract vetoing any form of sexual relationship between anyone involved in the movie.
There's plenty of chemistry between Claudia and Anders, but hurt feelings, miscommunication and misunderstanding means that the path to true love is not smooth.

So what happened? Claudia was left holding the baby and bereft because Anders upped and left. They were making plans everything grand and the poof in a cloud of confusion,their relationship came to its conclusion. Years ago with Hollywood dreams she meets Anders who was too good to be true it seems. They had an earth moving one night stand but then he was gone and she was abandoned. She still wanted to be an actress and fate lends and hand when she goes for an audition and he is the producer and offers her the lead , leading her to storm out , she will earn her part without his handing it to her on a plate . Put that in your pipe mate! When a storm comes in the couple are trapped and it’s here that when coming enrapt he tells her the truth . He left because of his family’s interference, oh strewth! What happened next is lustful and heady . They’re soon making up for lost time and it’s sublime . Then he spills his dilemma. His clause in contract is no liaisons . Now she fears what will he do when he learns he’s a daddy too? A very fast paced angsty storyline that has a few ups and down hurdles in which to contend but they’re determined to be together in the end. Well written , well of course it is it’s by Lily Cross , I love everything this author does . Great characters and they’re portrayed well to .

Lots of drama happening in Hollywood! Anders is overseeing his screenwriting script from his novel & rather than having a famous movie star play the lead, he suggests Claudia would be perfect for the part. Once the contract is signed, she spots Anders in the group. Their old feelings are just under the surface but she’s still angry at his disappearance years ago when she thought they were serious with each other. Her signing contract has a clause preventing them to be intimate (union rule) but leave it to Anders & Claudia, they become sneaky & find their way into each other’s arms. There is so much going on in the background that surface up later in the novel which will tie in with Anders & Claudia romantic story.
I found this to be an interesting story as we get more in-depth info on what happens in the development of a movie. The characters are interesting, some you love to hate with their entitled attitude, the jealousy, the forgiveness, the suspense & breaking ties with those who leak lies to the gossip mags & TV news. A page-turner leaving you feeling on how good Lily Cross is at tying up all of these loose ends into a neat little package! Some surprises I didn’t expect which is to be expected to make this more interesting. Pick this one up!

High angst, with some real danger wrapped up in an engaging love story. Anders was friends with Claudia’s brother but felt due to their age difference, he needed to keep his distance. Eventually they find their way back together but her family interferes and they are separated until she graduates college and her desire to be an actress again collides with his writing/producing. Anders is a solid guy - he sacrifices a lot in this story-first in the military and then later for Claudia. Though he isn’t perfect and at times how he treats Claudia frustrated me a lot. Especially when it comes to her pregnancy. Claudia was done wrong by different people in this story but she is not a pushover. Really liked the ending but have to admit that I did not like Anders or Claudia as much as I would have liked to.

A nice angst saucy filled novel with all the feels.
You will love the push and pull of the two MC in the book as they fight for what they believe they both want.
Knowing Anders all her life, being her brothers best friend, Claudia couldn't believe it when he re appeared in their small home town.
Anders and Claudia reconnected and she thought all her dreams had come true when they had a hot steamy tryst in his trailer, until he ghosted her.
Many hidden secret hot steamy scenes set the precedence for the book as Claudia lands the MFC in Anders new movie, but with the clause of no sexual fraternisations to happen whilst on set, Anders and Claudia have to steal time together in secret.
The push and pull these guys have, with all the obstacles put in their way, makes for a great story.
How they make their relationship work is comical in a sense as neither of them labelled what they had. Were they just f*&k buddies or was there more to their relationship? Claudia certainly didn't know! And then she realized she was pregnant!

Romance set against the background of the movie industry. Claudia has had feelings for her brother’s best friend, Anders for many years. These suddenly explode when he gets her a job as an extra on the film set for his novel. I did enjoy the book for the most part, but struggled to give it more than 3*. The story was ok, but sadly I found I just didn’t really like either of the main characters! Claudia is immature and extremely irritating on occasions – making her her own worst enemy; Anders is arrogant and controlling and I’m not altogether convinced what she actually sees in him! The steamy sections seem to be random, and in many ways a bit contrived. An ok read, but not one of Lily Cross’ best.

This is an accurate representation of what life must be like for a new starlet trying to make a name for herself in Hollywood. The steamy story and romance do not disappoint! Anders dad is Claudia’s dad’s boss. The 2 men hate each other which makes it very difficult for the couple to get together when they are young. But then Anders returns to Indiana to make his movie, he makes it clear that his feelings for his best friend’s sister have intensified.
But the family feud gets in the way and they are forced to part. Let’s just say that it accurately portrays how hard it must be to hold a relationship together in Tinsel Town.
Yes, the book is full of typos that tell me the book was edited by a robot or AI, but the plot is a real page turner! Loved this romance ❤️🔥

OMG this was another great book. It was a steamy page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. It was addicted. Claudia and Anders romance was sensation of passion. When they first lay eyes on each other sparks was in the air. The chemistry and the physical attraction was mind blowing as they couldn't fight temptation any longer. One night with him will change her life forever with some unexpected moment. Is this love or just only lust of passion and romance how would he feel about her news.

Who would have thought her parents had enough sway to direct the path of her future. Crushing on Anders for as long as she can remember. She takes her shot when the opportunity presents itself. When Anders want to be upfront. Her parents throw roadblocks in her way. Years later a chance meeting set the stage for the next stage In their lives. A lack of communication and a need for information hinders them from moving forward as a couple. This could have been 5 stars but the emotional growth on both their parts was a little daunting. The chemistry was spicy. The characters were believable. The drive motivating but out of place at times.

Anders Lansman owns Walkabout Entertainment and is the producer. Claudia went to school with Anders and he was best friends with her brother. Together they used to treat Claudia like a slave. Claudia has always wanted to become an actress. She was in the football crowd of one of Anders movies. Years later she gets the lead in one of Anders movies. This book is one you can’t put down. The chemistry is scorching hot. I really enjoyed reading this book.

This is an off limits, second chance romance between Claudia and her brother's best friend, Anders, who had a one night stand many years ago. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Once they reconnect, it is a bumpy ride with drama and steam, humor and charm, sexual tension and chemistry, twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Entertaining.

Brother's best friend!? I think this was more, second chance romance!
The chemistry between the two main characters, Claudia and Anders sure had some sparks flying!
Despite or due to their ages, it was hard for me to mesh their behavior with their actions.
But, it may just be me.
There are certainly immature early twenty year-olds, as well as, the opposite.

The chemistry between the two main characters, Claudia and Anders sure had some sparks flying!
Despite or due to their ages, it was hard for me to mesh their behavior with their actions.
But, it may just be me.
There are certainly immature early twenty year-olds, as well as, the opposite.

This was a crazy high emotion and chemistry book between Claudia and Anders. With her crush on Anders and the now the opportunity to be on his project, she now has a chance to act on it. Anders himself is very driven guy and I felt like the way that he blended with Claudia was phenomenal. Overall, while this was a quick read, it was a really fun one to read.

If you LOVE reading SEXY, HOT, PAGE TURNING romance that has the best undeniable chemistry ever then I STRONGLY urge you to read this romance book. It is TOTALLY 110% AWESOME and I fell instantly in love with the storyline as well as Claudia and Anders romance. GOD ALMIGHTY the Blue-eyed SEX GOD on the cover is HOT.

Baby for my Off-Limits Billionaire is an enjoyable read. Once I started reading this book I didn't want to put it down. A definite page turner. Anders and Claudia have undeniable chemistry.
