About the author

Bethan Cooper

6 books101 followers

Bethan Cooper spends her days working 8 hours at a well-known restaurant and yawning - a lot.

But her vulnerability behind the uniform is her writing, having been obsessed with writing short stories and song lyrics from her teens, she has finally put pen to paper and started a novel.

She is married to the love of her life, who she met when she was seventeen.

So writing romance is a must for her, especially lots of kissing and people surrounded by love, as it is after all, the best human emotion.

This is the conclusion to Luke and Ella's story. You must read book one before reading this story. Ella has been through so much in high school and now is 24 and out of college and just living her life. If you ask me the life she leads now is worse than the life she had to endure in high school. She has not seen or heard from Luke in 5 years and gets by suffering her depression all over again by doing drugs and sleeping with men to pacify her time on this planet. She is a shell of a person and not even Jade, her BF or her mustang will suffice. Luke is and has been always the only person who could make her world brighter.

Luke is a jerk is all I can say. Ok, he becomes a good guy again at the end, but did you seriously have to live that many years right under her nose and not do anything. They were supposed to have an always and forever and they didn't get this. When fate intertwines these two again this story is so much more emotional than the first time around. He's engaged and has to decide on if he should continue with his current life or go back to the girl who is his always and forever. It's almost like he wouldn't have ever contacted Ella had they not met in the boardroom again and had he not seen what he did. He's a fixer and wants to heal Ella.

This story is dark touches on depression, murder, domestic violence and anxiety issues, but is a story worth reading. Luke and Ella finally get their HEA, but there was so much heartache that you will need a box of tissues handing reading this story. Even reading the babbles section I teared up (only those of you who read it will understand) and am so sorry for this author. I am glad you shared this story though with real life situations as this book series may help someone going through the same issues.

The only thing I will say about this book is that I felt it was rushed and maybe could have been a little longer and touched on the reasoning from Luke's POV of why he waited 3 years before letting fate intervene again. It kinda makes you wonder if fate didn't bring these two together again, if they would have ever had their always and forever. The epilogue this time around was happy tears though. I will be sad to miss reading these characters and hope maybe we can get a novella in the future.

I wanted to like this book from the onset as it is very well written but I disliked Luke the main character with a vengeance. He was a'major A-hole' in the preceding book and grew up to be an even bigger insect in this novel. He JUST gives new meaning to the term indecisiveness...Sarah,Lana,Leona.

I basically saw no distinction between him & the character Nathan. They both were sexually hot according to the heroine. She had addictive consensual violent sex with one of them until it became too brutal & with the other she had obsessive needy sex in between him sexing it up with his cheating fiancee.Yes everyone cheats in the book.

Ella the female lead was a portrayal of abject despair 99% of the book & attracted misery like dead meat attracts flies.

The book works very well as a tale of torment if you like that sort of thing.I just like women to be more than toys and this female was banged like a beaten drum in part 1 leading into part 2.Luke did redeem himself in the end though.I would have liked a more active insight into his character as he was constantly blowing hot & cold.He would been more likable.

Fantastic book!

Wow! Love this author! Tumultuous and erotic. Emotionally charged and raw. Great story and I love the ending! You won't be disappointed!
