Rate this book
Whispering Willows is a place where wishes come true, but at what cost?

I didn’t expect to be a widow at forty years old. I definitely didn’t expect to return to Whispering Willows—or my life as a witch.

But here I I’ve reopened my family’s wish shop, started granting wishes, and am teaching my daughter magic. Life is perfect . . . Almost.

There’s my ex, who’s also my daughter’s teacher. My high school BFF, who has turned into a major bully. And then there’s the golden lamp. After I find it in the basement, strange things start the rain showers in my shop, the ruined wishes, the seagull who starts singing (off-key) show tunes. Just when I think it can’t get any weirder, I throw the lamp in the ocean, and it appears in my shop the next day. Something is trying to escape that lamp, and if I don’t stop it, our perfect new beginning might be over before it’s even started.

If humor, magic, found family, and a dash of romance are your thing, then you will love this new paranormal women’s fiction series, perfect for fans of K.F. Breene, Shannon Mayer, and Robyn Petermen. Get it now!

Thank you, Tee Harlowe, for the opportunity to read and provide a review of Your Witch is My Command. All opinions are my own.
Being completely honest… I’m SO glad I was able to be part of the ARC readers for this book so I didn’t have to wait even a few extra days to read this! After reading Be Careful What You Witch For I couldn’t wait to read more about Clara and the characters of Whispering Willows. Tee Harlowe does a great job of keeping the same feel from the first book without being repetitive and still having a unique and interesting plot. She manages to take characters and mythology that we all know and out her own spin on them, humanizing them in new and fun ways. I feel like I’m getting to know these characters personally and I devoured this book- only really putting it down because I HAD to go to work and sleep a little. The fun romances, the bits you get of what feels to be a larger overall plot/theme for Clara, and putting a spin on the genie in the lamp made this a great read. I can’t wait for the next installment!

Your Witch Is My Command by Tee Harlowe is the kind of book that makes you feel like you've discovered a hidden gem of a series, one where you want to tell everyone about it but also kind of want to keep it to yourself because it's so much fun. As the sequel to Be Careful What You Witch For, this book really amps up the magic and mystery. Clara, our wonderfully complex FMC witch, is back. We spend more time in the cozy and charming town of Whispering Willows, and things are definitely not as simple as they seem. The wish-granting shop is, as usual, a little chaotic... mostly thanks to a mysterious golden lamp that has a mind of its own. The mystery of what’s inside that lamp had me legit hooked, and just when I thought I had it figured out, the plot twisted in the best ways.

What I love most about this series is the way Tee Harlowe brings the characters to life. Clara’s journey as a witch and single mom is so relatable, even in the midst of all the supernatural chaos. The personal stakes feel real, and there are some deliciously awkward moments to amp up the human feel in a super supernatural story. The romance is fun and light, with the perfect amount of tension, and the weird, quirky happenings around the shop add just the right touch of humor.

Honestly, this book is such a page-turner. I found myself sneaking in chapters whenever I could, because the world of Whispering Willows just felt so alive. If you’re into paranormal stories with fun characters, a touch of romance, and a whole lot of twists, this series is for you. I seriously can't recommend it enough.

Tee Harlow’s Your Witch Is My Command is a dazzling and emotionally layered continuation of her spellbinding series.

In this second installment, she once again proves her gift for capturing human connection amid magic, humor, and heartache.

The relationships in this story feel alive—messy, warm, and achingly real. Whether it’s the tensions of family (by blood or by choice) or the gentle way these characters hold space for one another’s flaws, every interaction resonates with authenticity.

Harlow doesn’t shy away from showing the imperfections that define love and loyalty, making the reader feel like part of this unconventional family.

At its core, this novel belongs to Clara—a woman whose emotional journey is nothing short of luminous. Through her, Harlow explores the difficult but beautiful truth that life will never be perfect. Yet, accepting that imperfection becomes its own kind of magic. Clara’s arc, from self-doubt to quiet acceptance, is deeply moving and refreshingly mature.Blending quick wit with heartfelt introspection, Harlow crafts a story that sparkles with energy but never loses sight of its soul.

Your Witch Is My Command is not just bewitching—it’s a celebration of life’s messy, imperfect beauty and the courage to keep choosing it.A remarkable sequel that deepens the emotional world of the series while standing strong on its own. Pure enchantment.

I really loved the overall vibes of this book — it’s cozy, charming, and the perfect kind of read to kick off the Fall season. Just like with the first book, the characters shine. Each one has their own unique personality, yet they come together in such a genuine sense of community that makes the world feel warm and lived-in.

One of my favorite aspects is the generational perspective. Seeing Clara reflect on her days at Whispering Wallow while her daughter, Remy, is now having her own experiences there adds such richness and depth. That mother-daughter dynamic continues to be a highlight for me.

I’ll admit that sometimes Clara’s choices and reactions frustrated me, but in a way that made sense — she was often navigating complicated situations, and it only made her character feel more real.

I also appreciated how the book balances a main storyline with smaller side plots woven throughout. Everything ties together neatly, making it a fun and easy read that never felt dull.

Overall, this sequel is fun, cozy, and filled with likable characters. It didn’t quite hit the five-star magic of the first book for me, but it’s still a fantastic continuation of the series and left me excited to keep reading.

Your Witch Is My Command, #2 - A lot of drama but an intriguing story. Lots of lessons learned, good romances and plenty of eye-opening moments made this an entertaining read. Good story lines with likeable and loveable characters. There is a lot more to their stories than previously thought. 4*

Be Careful What You Witch For, #1 - I am surprised how interesting and meaty this story is considering the genre. I finished it in one sitting. The characters weren't the usual whiny widow, spoilt idiot teenager and okay support cast. Yes, there was a bit about the past affecting the widow but she was more substantial. The daughter actually had a bit common sense and maturity that made her interesting. The friends from the widow's past were a good assortment of characters and were active in the story. I figured out the bad guy but not the reason, good twist. Good introduction to a new series. Clean for the most part with infrequent cursing. 4*

Your Witch Is My Command is the second book in the Wishing for a Magical Midlife series by Tee Harlowe.

I very much enjoyed this second book in the series. I highly recommend book 1, Be Careful What You Witch For: A Paranormal Women's Fiction Novel.

The characters in the story or well crafted and complex.

Clara is fantastic and I love the town of Whispering Willows. The mystery is REALLY fun and involves a lamp that is found in the basement.

The mystery keeps you guessing, and Clara learns more about her past.

A great story can't wait for the next book in this great series!

Stopped at 17%. It's getting way too weird and creep. I'm not enjoying it at all.

Amazon synopsis:
But here I am: I’ve reopened my mother’s wish shop, started granting wishes, and am teaching my daughter magic. Life is perfect . . . Almost.

There’s my ex, who’s aged unfairly well and who also happens to be my daughter’s teacher. My high school BFF, who has turned into a major bully. And then there’s the golden lamp.

After I find it in the basement, strange things start happening: the random rain showers in my shop, the ruined wishes, the seagull who can suddenly sing (off-key) showtunes. Just when I think it can’t get any weirder, I throw the lamp in the ocean, and it appears back in my shop the next day.

Something is trying to escape that lamp, and if I don’t figure out what, our new beginning might be over before it’s even started.

Clara has taken Remy to start at her new school for magical beings. All their friends arrive which is very embarrassing for Remy! Clara goes back home & starts to clear out her basement & comes across an old “genie” lamp hidden down there. She vaguely recalls seeing it & realises it was spelled to be forgotten. She breaks that spell. It has dark magic about it so she tosses it into the ocean, next day, back in her shop! As she is about to grant a wish the lamp causes the wish bubble to crash to the floor. Eventually Clara releases the person inside, turns out to be her mother’s twin brother. A long involved story as to how he came to be there ensues. All does get well & truely resolved by the end of the book. An enjoyable read with quite a few laughs.

Fun, magical, and introspective

This second book in Harlowe's series is much better than the first. The character development is much deeper, which I appreciate. The story is fun and all the characters round it out well. One point that I disagree with is that you can't be friends and lovers at the same time as noted in this quote by Preston: "Friends?” His muscles tensed under his tight T-shirt. “I can’t be friends with you. Don’t you get that? It’s all or nothing for me. I can’t do some in-between thing.” His hand fell from his head. “I’m not that guy. And I won’t apologize for it.”

I hope this isn't true and that Clara and Preston discover the wonderful blend this can be.

Loved it! Can't say enough about Tee Harlowe's writing style. I didn't want to put the book down but alas life got in the way of me reading this within 48 hours. The story pulls the reader in right from the start and like I said I didn't want to put it down. Whispering Willows is becoming a special place in the fictional world of paranormal. It's a town where wishes can come true with the help of a Wish Granter. That's where Clara comes in as she is a Wish Granter.

There is so much going on in Your Witch is My Command but the main plot is Clara finds a golden lamp (Genie type lamp) in the basement of her store The Wish List. Trying to figure out the who, what, where and why there is a lamp in the basement has Clara going on a couple of adventures in a rickety boat. Finding out who is in the lamp will surprise everyone! Not to mention Remy is starting senior year at a paranormal school and her teacher is an ex-boyfriend of her Mom's. Talk about awkward.

The characters are wonderful and full of life and mischief. I really enjoyed coming back to Whispering Willows (even the name of the town I love) and it's residents. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Highly recommend this series if you like paranormal stories.

Back to Whispering Willows with Clara, Remy, Myrtle, Helen, Gene and Martin. Clara is still working through past trauma, trying to create her vision of a perfect life but running into roadblocks both familial and romantic along the way. In this outing, we meet more supernatural characters as well as friends from Clara’s youth. I enjoy seeing Clara grow and heal, and open up to living life.

I enjoyed this one even more than the first. Tee Harlowe has created a world I wish existed in real life so I could visit it. The characters are engaging and likeable, and the antics of Martin and Myrtle kept me chuckling. Everyone should have friends like them.

I so very much enjoyed this book. I love the characters of Clara and her group of friends. Tee Harlowe has built a delightful little town in Whispering Willows. Book two introduces an intriguing mystery in the form of a golden lamp that was hidden in basement of the The Wish List. What follows is a bewitchingly fun read with new characters and places and a surprising revelation for Clara regarding her past. Easy to sink into and just enjoy.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my opinion of the tale.

Thank you Author Tee Harlowe for the ARC! This book continues with the adventures of Clara and her daughter Remy. They have moved back to Clara's hometown "Whispering Willows" and slowly but surely have adjusted to living amongst witches, vampires and the like. Clara's ex Preston is now a teacher at Remy's school and seems to still carry a torch for her. Aside from the romance there is a lamp with a trapped genie. Wait until you find out who's in there! I really enjoyed the continuation of this story and am looking forward to the next one.

This was such a beautifully written story that follows Clara and daughter Remy as they adjust to their new lives in Whispering Willows. Things take a turn for the worse when Clara finds a magical lamp hidden in the basement. The rest of the story sees Clara and her friends attempt to free the genie trapped inside. The story is well written, light hearted and moves at a good pace. I received a free copy of the book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

A great follow up to the first in series
When I picked this book up without reading the blurb, the last thing I was expecting was a genie in a lamp. It was just that added bit that kept me turning the page. I shouldn't have been surprised. After all, Clara and Remy found the lamp in the first book. In this book, Clara has to come to terms with whether having a safe life is really living her life or not. There is so much more to living than existing.

Loved the new adventure with Clara and her daughter Remy!

Clara, a witch granter, finds a magic lamp and she is forced to solve the mystery of it all when whatever is in the lamp starts messing with her work!

This is the second book in this series and I loved it as much as the first. I especially loved the reappearance of all the supporting characters and meeting some new friends as well.

Really well written, can't wait to read the next book!

Book two in this series doesn't disappoint, if anything it's even better than the first, with a brilliant storyline and engaging zany characters it's a delightful cosy romp. Filled with magic mayhem snark and humour it's unputdownable although it's somewhat darker than the first book that doesn't detract from how good a story this is. Wonderful read, Barrie.

This is a fun series set in a small magical town. Remy is starting her senior year at Whispering Willows Magical Academy and while Clara is cleaning the basement she finds something special and magical. Can she cope with the drama that ensues? I especially enjoy the quirky and interesting characters!

The second book is this series left me questioning the entire time. I loved that the mystery behind “the lamp” wasn’t easily guessed right from the beginning. Such a fun and engaging read based on a middle aged woman which is so relatable since that’s right around my age. Love all the witchy, paranormal characters and witty banter. Another fantastic book by Tee Harlowe.

I am loving the town of Whispering Willows, the colourful characters and family setting is magical in itself. I enjoyed finding out more about Clara's past and her heritage. It's been good to see her grow and make mistakes even in midlife, still always things to learn. Remy has grown too and embraced her new life, new school and powers. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Enjoy this magical rollercoaster.

Perfect Halloween read!

This lighthearted humorous tale of a mom and daughter moving back to an enchanted town is just plain fun! Interesting small town dynamics, a bit of mystery, magic and mayhem. A place where witches and werewolves date, a demon hunter and her vampire husband keep evil away, an imp and a male witch fall in love.. it’s clever!

Poor Clara! She can’t seem to get a break. There is always something or someone trying to complicate her life. I do like this most recent complication. I think it sort of set her back on track. Whispering Willows seems like an interesting town! I loved this book!

Enlightening

Clara and Remy still have plenty of settling in to do and a magic lamp complicates it all further. Ex-friends, Ex boyfriends and more magically chaos are once again in store.

This book jumps ahead 20 years from the first book and deals with the woman (who was a teen) that Helen helped. I was expecting to continue Helen's story and didn't care for the whiny, scared woman or her snippy teenage daughter.

I just love Whispering Willows. These books are such a light fun read. The characters are funny, and I can just see all the scenes with the banter and jokes. There are probably people in your life now that they remind you of. Can't wait for the next release.

The more I read, the more I adore this series.

It's just really odd that all the magical creatures (witches, vampires, imp, mermaids, fairies, etc) could live in the same area and just get along nicely. That's just against all the laws in fantasy world (if there's any). I mean, it's weird but also funny at the same time.

On this second book, we have new creature : genie. I'd never imagined that a genie was a witch granter before he/she turned into a genie. That's why they could grant wishes.

I love this weird team and couldn't wait to read the next book. I'm so entertained!

Clara gets worse the farther into this series I get. She’s too impetuous for an almost 40 year old. She’s been written to appear like a teenager, so reactionary to everything that happens to her. Now into the third book and it’s worse. Those counseling her aren’t any better this far into it.
