A snapshot of a young man's life - on a road trip - it leaves you hanging so that you think there should be a sequel, or you just have to accept that it is a snapshot of his life. He was abandoned by his mother at the age of 8; and although there are other sad episodes in the story, that is the saddest part of the story for me - as a mother, I am left wondering about HER story, and how she could have abandoned her son and never went looking for him again. I hope this young man finds love and happiness, but like I said, the story leaves you hanging.

This was an interesting book as it followed the life of a young boy growing up. It took a disappointing turn when the book ended in a abrupt halt. I don't think I learned enough about the main character and felt hanging when the book ended.
