This was an ARC read and Im sad to report I personally didn’t love it.
The plot felt a bit rushed. Especially the ending.
Not sure how I feel about the characters but I didn’t connect to them, sadly. Writing style just wasn’t for me personally.
The idea was good though and it did have some funny and steamy parts.
And I’m sure many will love it for these!

No Star rating.
I really went into this book wanting to love it. However. In no way shape or form was this book a rom com.
The marketing for this book is not what I read. This book felt like a poorly executed dark romance read that didn’t hit the mark- and ended in a book glorifying SA one of which was a male of colour. Would not recommend.

Picked it up before bed, gave it another try in the afternoon… nope. The writing doesn’t feel fluid and the dialogue comes across as forced. Honestly, not for me.

I don’t know if I have ever read a story like this one. First, I have to say I have always loved vampires. The first movie I ever saw in a theater was a vampire movie. It was a thing with me and my dad, so I rarely find a vampire story that I don’t love. What really was so different about this story is that it almost seemed like a cute Christmas romance for a good chunk of it. But then we get thrown into the vampire world. About 85% of this story is cute or spicy romance between the two MCs and it’s about 15% vampire story and not so happy times. Be sure to read the trigger warnings because even though most of this story is a sweet and spicy romance, there are somethings that happen that can be very triggering.
The MCs are great. I kept chuckling at Wren and how clumsy she was. I thought the nickname Bambi was perfect because all I could picture was Bambi on ice. But even though she was a bit of a klutz, she was a strong person. She mad a few not so smart decisions, but she also was able to deal with things that could easily break others. And Ellery was so sweet. For a three-thousand-year-old vampire, he was such a great MMC. He knew that Wren was the only person for him and he did everything to get into her life. And even though he said that he was not a gentle person, he only lost his temper with Wren once, and he felt bad when he did.
I think I felt the most for Wren’s sister because she got caught up in some things that will probably affect her the rest of her life. And the villain in the story was exactly what you would picture for the villain in a story like this. These side characters along with Karson were great additions to the story and really added to the plot.
This was a quick read with lots of spice and a Christmas theme that will get even the monster lovers in the Christmas spirit. I thought it was a very entertaining story and I actually surprised myself when I got to the end because it could have kept going and I would have kept reading. The majority of this book was fun, spicy, and sweet, with just enough drama to make it entertaining.

My first read of Amity Grey.
Wren and her loyal dog Aspen prepare for another 'single' christmas. She's feeling a little more disheartened this year because her sister has gotten engaged, and her mum is nagging her about finding Mr Right.
What a pleasant surprise when Wren bumps into her new Welsh neighbour, Ellery. But he's not all that he seems. They both fall quickly for each other, and the chemistry between them is hot and sometimes very sweet.
I wouldn't necessarily describe it as a rom-com. It fits well within the dark romance genre and covers those tropes we all know and love. I suppose you could say the Rom-Com is covered by Wren's accidents and general clumsiness 🤔
I did enjoy this light read and would definately recommend it as a palate cleanser in between your heavier reads.
Initially, I did think this would be a fluffy romance - it's not. This is dark, not grey.
Triggers include manipulation/possessiveness .. St@lking .. Non-Con(SA)/Dub-Con .. Kidn@pping/Captivity .. Graphic sex .. Blood and Violence .. Orgasm Denial .. Blood Sharing.
Please familiarise yourself with the content. YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS

I am really conflicted on this book. So I will break down the things I liked and didn’t like.
I enjoyed the characters and their banter. I liked both the FMC and MMC. The FMC is funny and awkward and who doesn’t love a hot morally gray vampire? The spicy scenes were good and there was also a storyline.
However, this book is advertised as a dark rom-com, and in my opinion it is completely just dark romance. I went into it expecting rom-com with spice. But this book randomly switches from some spicy romance to some very dark scenes. In particular there is an on page SA scene that just felt really unnecessary for the storyline, which just really wasn’t great.
I unfortunately don’t recommend this book, but if you are planning to read it make sure to check your trigger warnings and expect dark romance.

When Wren Winters makes a wish on the first snowflake ❄️ for excitement and adventure, she never expects for her wish to come true. Ellory York, who is Wrens new neighbor, is perfect. He's handsome and charming, and he's also a 3k Year Old Vampire unbeknownst to Wren. When she invites him to Christmas dinner with her mother, sister and her sisters new fiancé Aaron, Wren and family are shocked to learn Ellory knows Aaron, I fact better than anyone might think, and he's not to fond of him.
This Novella is filled with love, SPICE 🌶 and of course vampires ! Who doesn't love vampires?!

I love vampire romances. I really do. All I Want For Christmas is a Vampire was all the spicy Vampire novella you'd expect!
MMC Ellery is a morally grey Vampire. Yes, you read that right rofl. He's giving me Dexter vibes meets Damian Salvatore. I'll take one Ellery please lol. Ohhh wait... he's blonde! Okay... hear me out... with the sexy looks of Eric from True Blood. Ohhhh I love him even more now 🥰😆
Wren is Ellery's neighbor. She's human and clumsy and sweet. The girl just trips over her own feet into peoples crouches over here. 🤔 Hmm... maybe she's a fake clumsy person? Jk. I liked Wren.
When Ellery's nasty brother comes to town, Wren is put thru the ringer. Take Trigger Warnings seriously if you need to. But over all, I liked this super spicey novella.

This book had my inner twilight girly, absolutely screaming and giddy. Perfect level of spice, suspense, and humor. Wren seems like she's about ready to give up on finding love, and then BAM, handsome vampire neighbor across the hall, shows up right after she wishes for love on a snowflake. Ellery is a dream come true and more. As their love grows, Ellery becomes very protective and does not hesitate to protect the woman he loves. Once you pick this up, it'll be hard to put it back down. If you love vampires and need a fun Christmas read, then I absolutely recommend sinking your Fangs into this story! 🧛♂️

Are you looking for a short little holiday novella with just a dash of darkness? This is the book for you. I absolutely want nothing more than a attractive vampire for Christmas now! I loved Wren and Ellery and their story. Wren wants nothing more then to find romance and some adventure in her life. Ellery is her handsome and mysterious neighbor who just happens to always show up in the most needed times. This is a darker rom-com so it may not be for everyone. I thought it was absolutely fantastic!

*** Yall check your TW before reading pretty please ***
Ellery??? Finest vampire i've read in a minute there 😮💨
This novella overall was more of a cute spicy with a hint of christmas happening in the background than a christmas novella if that makes any sense? but i enjoyed it regardless 🤣
Wren is one tough fmc with some of the stuff that happens to her throughout but we love to see a HEA in the end

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

This book was short and sweet. If you like vampires or would like to try reading about them for the first time then I think you would enjoy this one. It’s a happy read that you could easily do in one sitting. Wren and Ellery seem like the perfect couple especially once the truth is out. It was a good book for me to jump into vampires. I’m intrigued now!

Ellery is literally the DREAAAAM vampire man. I need to go wish on a snowflake for a sexy vampire when it snows after this one. Not only is he hot, he's 3,000 years old, so he knows how to please his woman in bed. Vampires are my favorite type of book to read, but Ellery is quite literally a "touch her and die" man, seeing as he did kill a man for touching his girl Wren.
Can I get my own Ellery for Xmas? Please and thank you.

A short vampire Christmas novella! I absolutely enjoyed this. Darker than I thought and I ate it up!
The chemistry between between Wren and Ellery was definitely there, LOTS of SPICE! Make sure you check your trigger warnings
There was a good amount of light and dark
Had a nice plot to it for a short story and I’d definitely recommend this story

I really enjoyed this story. It started out as a cute fast falling ( which really isn’t my thing) but quickly took a shocking twisty turn that hooked me right in!! Definitely give this a shot if you love vampires and Christmas

Teetered between 2 and 3 stars. It did take me on a journey and well written. I thought it would be a cute read, it was a darker one. 😆😆 Read the TWs. I did not, so got quite the surprise.

2.5⭐️ rounded up - I know it’s a novella but there could have been more character development.

Cute. An interesting take on the traditional vampire romance. Based on the open ending, there are likely to be others about some of the side characters. I would probably read them.

Thank you to the author for this ARC!
I’m always looking for different takes on Holiday novellas! In this story, Wren Winters makes a wish on a snowflake and gets herself an obsessed Vampire stalker! Ellery York is a centuries old vampire who sees Wren and has to have her. He moves into her building by using his vampire powers. Wren’s dog, Aspen is also infatuated with the man!
If you want to find out how Wren finds out about Ellery’s vampire history and how they deal with his brother when he threatens to break them apart!
This is for the Vampire diaries girls that love Christmas 🎄🧛🏻♂️ Check trigger warnings before picking this one up!

This was a fun read with dark romcom vibes. I always love when the MMC falls first and Ellery’s manipulations to get into Wren’s life were so cute! I wasn’t expecting any plot twists in the novella, but I was pleasantly surprised! Of course, my only comment would be I wish it was longer! I could have easily read a 300+ page novel on Ellery and Wren’s relationship!
November 12, 2024
This was such an amazing read. The dedication is so much fun which really sets the tone for this Xmas novella. The FMC from the get go seems very relatable. Even if you aren't someone like her, you have a friend that definitely is. We all have that one friend 😆 love the fact there is Welsh representation in this book. I squeaked a little when I saw Ellery is Welsh 😍 the MMC does come across a bit of a stalker at the start but you soon warm up to him and you get so invested in what is happening between them. I love the fact that the FMC is a clutz in the funniest of ways creating some wet yourself laughing moments and the fact you can tell it's been a while for her, like I said, we all have that one friend 🤣 the banter between the two of them is just pure comedy gold. Then there's also the deliciousness of their relationship growing. The spiciness gets spicy but it doesn't detract from the plot. About half way there is a massive plot twist I did not see coming. I was ravenous for answers needing to know what was going to happen next. I will say to read the triggers as there is a moment that could be rather triggering if you are unaware. But it is just a brief moment in this novella that hits you right in the feels. It is the perfect xmas read if you love xmas and vampires, it is the perfect combination of the two 😍

All I Want for Christmas is a Vampire by Amity Grey 🧛♂️🎄📖
Where should I start with this book? 🤔❓
This book was a cute, spicy Christmas rom-com with a hot vampire. 🔥🌶️🥰
We first meet Wren and her dog, Aspen. Wren is tired of her mother asking her daily when she will marry and have children. She wishes on a snowflake that someone will sweep her off her feet. ❄️🙏🌟
Ellery—oh my goodness, he accidentally ran into Wren just to get her to notice him, which is so cute. They hit it off from the very beginning. 😍🥰💘
I will stop here and let you figure out the rest. All said and done, I highly recommend this book if you love vampires and rom-coms. 👍💯🧛♀️

This was my first time reading a work by Amity Grey and this was such a fun read! This is a dark rom com, Christmas novella filled with holiday cheer and a steamy vampire twist!

Wren Winter is in her early thirties and dreading the prospect of visiting her family for Christmas because her mother always finds a way to inundate her with questions about why Wren is single and when Wren will give her grandchildren. With no dating prospects, feelings of loneliness are creeping in. At the first sign of snowfall, Wren makes a wish on a snowflake for a man who will give her excitement and adventure.
*Enter Ellery York*
Ellery York just so happens to live across the hall from Wren, and he is a captivating and enigmatic figure who is fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine af with a delicious accent.
The quips, banter and romcom aspects were spot on! Wren’s inherent clumsiness making an appearance in front of Ellery while flustered with sexual tension, and the inner monologues, made me laugh multiple times. I mean who doesn’t talk to a pet at some point so they don’t cøckbløck? Or, get scared by the sight of an insanely hot and well-endowed man and think, “Just take his cøck like a good b!tch. Don’t f*ck this up.” Because, same Wren 🤣
The chemistry between Wren and Ellery was 🔥🔥🔥 but there were deep feelings underlying the tension, which made the connection between Wren and Ellery so endearing.
A vampire thinking about how his “soul is awakened by her presence like no one before”? Uhm, hello, soulmate. Sign. Me. Up. And he’s possessive and wants to claim his woman? I am more than ready to turn and spend forever with you, sir.
If you’re looking for your vampire fix this holiday season, look no further!

The story follows Wren Winter, a relatable and endearing protagonist whose heartfelt Christmas wish leads her down a path filled with unexpected passion and peril.

The pacing of the novella is brisk, keeping you engaged as Wren navigates her budding feelings while grappling with the shocking revelation of her love interest's true nature. She skillfully weaves romantic tension with a sense of urgency that propels the story forward, making it hard to put down.
The incorporation of Wren's Christmas wish upon a snowflake adds a charming layer of magic, emphasizing the theme of hope and desire that is so prevalent during the holiday season. The sexy vampire's brother serves as the villain in this enchanting tale, adding depth to the conflict and raising the stakes for Wren and her newfound love.
It's important to note the trigger warnings present in the story, as the darker themes involving familial betrayal and the complexities of love may be sensitive for some readers. However, these elements are handled with care and contribute to the richness of the plot rather than detract from the overall romance.
*All I Want for Christmas is a Vampire* is an enticing blend of humor, heat, and holiday themes. This novella is perfect for readers seeking a quick yet satisfying escape into a love story that is both festive and enthralling.
Whether you're a fan of fantasy, romance, or just looking for a charming holiday read, this novella will warm your heart and ignite your imagination. So grab a cozy blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and dive into this enchanting journey—this is one Christmas celebration you won't want to miss!

✨Honest ARC Review ✨
All I want for Xmas is a Vampire - Amity Grey
4.5/5 ⭐️ and 3/5 🌶️
Another banger for my November reads.
Jacki has a super power when it comes to writing a blonde haired, blue eyed almost 3000 year old vampire. Enter Ellerly. This beautiful specimen of a man is charming, witty, SEXY and a Vampire. Say less. He’s obsessed with Wren, our goddess FMC. Seriously, wait until you read how she’s described 🥵 The angst, the tension and the spice delivers. Oh and Wren’s faithful companion, Aspen, will give you a few good smiles to those of us with pets 🙃
Some nicknames can be cringe. No such thing here! The nicknames in this book are adorably sweet and fitting for both our characters.
I’m left wanting MORE and we should be getting exactly that next year.
Had a great time and would recommend!
*check your triggers because this does have some triggering events and not suitable for everyone!!
