the second book, following on from the first, Evan Elemental and it really helps to read that one first.

Evan wakes in a hotel room after being kidnapped by Ezra, and is given a choice: run, or stay and find out the whole truth. she chooses to stay and there follows all sorts of twists and turns before Evan returns to Price for the Apple Bloosom Festival. But some things are not as expected. Evan needs to deal with those, before she can deal with herself.

this book follows immediately after the first, and is also written in the first person present tense, but its much faster paced, and goes off at a great speed from almost the first page, unlike the first which was a slow burner!

there are many things going on in Evan's life, and she has a lot to deal with, her growing powers, her love for Lex, AND Ezra (not goinna explain that one!) and i did feel she was a little flighty with her emotions, flitting between the two of them! But then again, she is dealt some serious shite in this book, and the fact that she manages to pull herself together for what will be her greatest adventure yet...high school!...impresses me. she finds some things are not quite as they should be, that some things are better left alone, and that some things, or rather people, are just as she thought of them in the first book!

i'll be following this series, cos, at the moment, i cant see an end, and i really REALLY wanna see where this goes!

4 stars again, the first person thing, and the fact that Evan is a little flighty with her love! a little, no wait, a lot more steamier than the first book, so upgraded to adult.

This is the second book in the Evan Elemental series! I couldn't wait until Crystal released this! The book pucks up right where book one leaves us, with Ezra. Things get interesting in this book. We learn a lot more about Evan, and what she really is.

Crystal leaves us again wanting more, but she explained things a little more in this book. I love this series and can't wait until the next book is out! I couldn't put it down. I didn't want to. And I was sad after I finished the book because now I have to wait. But I will wait patiently until the next one comes out. If you haven't read any of the series yet, you need too!!

Last week I posted my review for Book One in the series: EVAN ELEMENTAL. I was excited to continue reading the story and it certainly did not disappoint. EVAN EVOLVED, as the title suggests, takes the story to a higher level as Evan continues to discover her new powers and gains confidence not only in her abilities but in herself as well. In the review for EVAN ELEMENTAL, I mentioned that I had a hard time liking the main character Evan, and she seemed to come across as a spoiled brat. Though Evan certainly has a few childish throwback moments in Book Two, she has certainly matured…a lot, and I found her to be likeable and entertaining.

Book One waivered between YA and NA, but Book Two is definitely NA due to several steamy scenes. I enjoyed the love story aspect in the first book, but EVAN EVOLVED had me on edge and quickly turning the pages as the love story quickly turned into a love triangle. In most books that I’ve read with a love triangle, I’m usually rooting for one guy over the other, but in this case, both guys are extremely likeable, and Evan has a reason to like them both, so I was torn for her and I am anxious to read Book 3 to find out where the story is going to go. Oh yes, that’s right, even though the story has a happy ending and doesn’t leave the reader hanging completely, the story is definitely not finished.

There were several surprises and turn of events that kept the story moving at a fast pace. My only slight criticism, as with Book One, would be minor grammatical and editing errors. I usually prefer first person point of view, but for some reason that I still can’t figure out, the first person style sometimes made the flow of the story a little difficult. That’s my only complaint though. I enjoyed Book One, but EVAN EVOLVED was definitely even better and held my interest the entire time. I am completely caught up in the love triangle and without giving the story away, I love the mix of powers and abilities that were thrown into Book Two. I can’t wait to find out where Book Three is going to lead Evan.

Evan wakes up in a hotel room, kidnapped buy Ezra. She is tempted to run, outfaced with a choice, leave and stay in the dark or find out the whole truth about herself and where she comes from. Unsure of what and who to believe.
Evan Evolved is the second book in this series (#1 is Evan Elemental) taking place right after the first. There is a little bit of a love triangle, but it’s not obnoxious which was nice. I wasn’t much of a fan of the flip flopping Evan did, but it was done well enough to be believable. Sometimes love isn’t all perfect sunshine and rainbows with eyes for the one person who has eyes for you. Sometimes it’s complicated. Evan deals with her feelings for two men while trying to figure out her ever growing powers. The fact that it wasn’t easy to get use to as it seems to be for most stories involving new powers . I love that you can watch her personality grow throughout the book. It made the story more put together and thought out. This is such a unique world, I really enjoyed it. I am very much looking forward to the next book in this series!

Oh I have to be very careful how I write this review!

Its a must read if you've read book 1 as this explores more into depth of the character.

Its not a book I would have chosen to read, but I offered to read and review this on a blog tour I agreed to do, so although it was different in some ways for me [can't say much without giving it away!!!] I really got drawn in.

I'm keeping this review short, as its going to end up with spoilers otherwise.

If you've been waiting for book 2, this is it!
