I was surprised that I didnt like the story as much as I had hoped. The setting was small town Vermont. New England I love. The characters of the town were real and enjoyable. I felt the author delved too much on the crime sprees that were going on in and around the town, and not enough on the funny sometimes odd but always sweet and caring people of The Falls. I found myself, beginning to scan paragraphs from middle of the book to the end, so I could just finish it. I had not done that in I cant remember when! If I liked it enough I was going to get the other books in this series. But I think I will save my money on something I know I will enjoy
