Integrated Mathematics for Explorers: Intermediate
This book is for mathematics lovers, but if you are not one, we hope you soon will be.
Although it mainly targets enthusiasts in high-school and liberal arts colleges, the book is structured to make learning interesting for students with different interests and backgrounds.
Practice questions are of various levels of complexity and include many explorations of real-life situations: They develop understanding, build confidence and examine multiple concepts.
Challenges have been included for the adventurous, while Investigations are suggested for self-study. The Escapades chapter contains stimulating puzzles to encourage experimentation, a list of unsolved mathematical problems, and a collection of wonderful theorems.
The book includes simple tips to help the reader relax and re-energise.

Well, I am one of the authors, so I am partial to this book.
I have tried to put in everything I had enjoyed about mathematics when I was in high-school, and I hope that I have managed to illustrate some flavour of mathematics as a living subject, rather than a collection of dry facts to be memorised and used in tests.
The website for the book has a 46 page extract of the book for sample viewing.
This is the International edition, which has the same content as the Singapore edition, but with a different cover and binding, and hence different pricing and ISBN.

Entered a giveaway to win this book for my little brother who is doing his A-Level maths but also LOVES maths! I won the book and it came yesterday.
I gave it to my little brother and he was so happy with it! Today when I got in from work he told me that he LOVES the book and that it has so much math in it that he didn't know but also a lot of stuff that would help him in his A-Levels. He said that there is so much that the text books at school don't tell him in this book and he is soooo grateful he has it!
