I am so excited every single time a new book in this series comes out! Just can't get enough of these characters. With this book, I had absolutely no idea who the murderer was. Not a single clue.
I really love the growing relationship between Skye and Leo. I know it's a matter of preference, but I really like that slow burn, especially in a long-running series.
Every book can easily be read as a stand-alone. The author does not give away the details of who the murderer was in past books, like some cozy authors do.
As of this book, the series has been totally clean. Zero smut or anything (unless you count a kiss as smut - the horror). No trigger warnings needed.
Thanks so much to book sirens for the free kindle book! I love that I didn't have to wait longer for the sixth book (also how I discovered this author). My opinions are my own and are freely given.
This is the 6th book in the Wedding Witch Cozy series and what a great addition to a fun and well written series. Skye is preparing to officiate her best friend, Jen's wedding to Craig. With less than a week to go, Skye's cousin, Miriam, also a witch, has just arrived from Scotland for a visit. But when Craig is found in a crashed car with his best man, boss and friend, Clive with a rope around his neck being held by Craig, it seems like a iron clad case. Skye with the help of her cousin, Miriam and the familiars, Wolfie and Shadow have only 6 days to find a murderer and clear Craig's name so Jen can have the wedding she's dreamed of. But, the major problem is Skye and Miriam have to be careful about using magic since the witch hunters are out in full force. I love how Wolfie is so protective of Skye! Can the crew solve the murder and exonerate Craig so the wedding can go on? Once you begin this book, like with the other books in this series, you just can't put it down! I can't wait to see what happens next. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
All of these Wedding Witch Cozy Mystery stories are great reads and this one is no exception. We get a great bonus with this story though, because we also get to meet a member of Skye’s family—her favorite cousin, Miriam and Miriam’s protector, Shadow, who just happens to be great friends with Wolfie, aka Prince Killian of Pendragon Rock. Once again, there’s a murder to be solved, however, this one takes place before a wedding and Skye and crew have to solve the mystery before the nuptials are due to take place. This wedding is special because it’s between Skye’s best friend, Jen and her fiancée, Craig, who is the one accused of committing the murder and sadly, the case looks pretty solid against Craig. These characters are all so very engaging and the relationship between them just keeps growing stronger. I also enjoy the relationship between Skye and Leo too. Without doubt, I highly recommend anything written by Bella Colby.
Skylar Blackwood is preparing for her best friend Jen’s wedding. Her cousin, Miriam, has just arrived from Scotland and is looking forward to the festivities, until the bridegroom is arrested for the murder of his best man. As the evidence presents itself, it seems as if the murder could only have been committed by the groom and Skye and Miriam are thrown into the investigation. And, as if that wasn't bad enough, the duo only had six days to solve the case and save the wedding. This is a great book with well thought out characters! I especially loved Wolfie and Shadow the familiars. The plot is full of twists and turns and kept me engaged throughout. I can't wait to read all of this author's books! I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and I am happy to leave this voluntary review!
Sixth in the series and I think this was my favorite. I am always thrilled when a new Bella Colby story hits my feed. I love the characters and the twist with the witch hunters. Skylar is such a fun character, a witch who has to think on whether using a spell is worth the consequences ... witch hunters. I also have to admit that her familiar/protector is my favorite of the familiars that I come across in books. In Something Borrowed Something Brew we meet another sassy familiar that belongs to a very special visitor from home. This was an exciting read as the time contraints to solve a murder are very tight, and an important wedding taking place is at stake. I enjoyed this story immensely , and with the kick at the end I cannot wait for book 7 to drop. I received a copy of this book courtesy of BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving my opinion of the tale.
This book was the best of the series so far and ended with such a cliffhangar that I can't wait for another story. The stakes are incredibly high for Skye as the wedding she is do to officiate is her best friend, Jen's wedding. However, first she has to save the wedding and the drama ran right up to the day. So much happened in the story that I ran it in one day. From the arrival of another magical member of Skye's family to the kiss, the author did not take her foot of the story gas. We had all kinds of drama and suspense and a character who instantly made you hate him.
This was a super cozy making me very glad I have read all the books in this series. Now for the next one, soon please. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Less than a week until Jen and Craig's wedding. Clive, his boss is being pressured to join an organized fishing group. Shady characters are strong arming Clive. A meeting at a pub between the other men and Craig ends up with Craig getting uncharacteristically drunk. Worse yet, he is found driving Clive's car, smashing it into a fence. Inside the car is Clive, dead, strangled and the rope is in Craig's hand. The important things are firstly, cousin Miriam cannot use her powers, the hunters are at full force. Secondly, keep Jen relatively calm and third and most importantly, prove Craig did not murder his close friend, boss and best man Clive. Days before the wedding Jen has been preparing for for literally years, will our sleuths pull off a miracle?
This is the first book of the series that I have read. I received this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and I am happy to leave this voluntary review. Skylar Blackwood, who is a witch, is preparing for her best friend Jen’s wedding. Her cousin, Miriam, who is also a witch, has just arrived from Scotland for a visit. The unthinkable happens and the bridegroom is arrested for the murder of his best man. The evidence seems to back up the theory that the murder could only have been committed by the groom. Skye and Miriam decide to investigate the murder to clear the groom but only have six days to solve the case and save the wedding. The plot is full of unexpected twists and keeps you guessing up until the last minute.
Something Borrowed, Something Brew is book 6 in the Wedding Witch Cozy Mystery series by Bella Colby.
I really enjoy this series. The characters are wonderful which is important for me. In this one, Skye is going to officiate her friend Jen‘s wedding to Craig. Unfortunately, there’s a bit of a problem. Craig is the prime suspect in a murder with a solid case against him. Skye is joined by her favorite cousin, Miriam, and Miriam‘s familiar, Shadow, so there’s extra team members to help clear Craig’s name. They need all the help they can get because the wedding is only days away. The witch hunters are out complicating Skye and Miriam’s use of magic. This was an entertaining read!

There are a couple of authors that I get really excited about. I eagerly await their next books, devour them as soon as I get the chance, and then repeat the process. Bella Colby is definitely one of those. I love this series. I love the story, the relationships, and the characters. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. I think it’s lovely that the friendships (any maybe more?) are developing the way they are and I was so excited to learn more about Skylar’s family and history. I can hardly wait for the next book!!

I found that I just had to finish this book before I could go to sleep. Once again, a murder in Tidewater Cove. Skye’s friend Jen is getting married & her fiancé is arrested for the murder. Full steam ahead to prove he was framed. Luckily Skye’s cousin Miriam is visiting from Scotland & is also a witch who has a protector, a White-tailed Sea Eagle, but he can shift into other bird forms. There is a tight time frame to get the groom out of prison so he can get married as planned. Working together with the usual team they find out who had done it & why.
Skylar and Wolfie have to solve a murder in time to save the groom from being falsely locked up for good for a murder he didn't commit. The tension is high as Skylar and the gang tries to find answers so Jen can have the wedding of her dreams. Also, Skylar's cousin is visiting and adds more magic to the mix. Unfortunately, that brings more problems since the hunters are increasing their efforts. A page-turning paranormal cozy that can be enjoyed as a standalone but I love the entire series and look forward to the next book!
Great storyline, strong characters make this a very good book. I love all the twists and turns that Skylar and crew have to go through to find out who the murderer is. Great background stories and I can just see the castle as described. I didn't figure out who the murderer was until about 3/4 the way through the book. Usually I can figure it out by the middle of the book. Can't wait for the next in the series!

Something Borrowed, Something Brew is book 6 in the Wedding Witch cozy mystery series by Bella Colby is an excellent continuation of the series! It's well written with wonderfully quirky and fun characters that come together to solve what looks like a slam shut case but of course not all is as it seems. I love this series!! The series is not standalone but there is usually enough of a backstory to enjoy is wherever you want to start but I highly recommend reading from the start.

What I liked about this book? The characters, especially Wolfie and Shadow. The small English village vibe, the Castle, the harbour. The murder that Skye has to solve in order to save Jen and Craig's wedding, with the help of the Ceremony Sleuths of course and her cousin Miriam. And did I say this already? I just loved Wolfie and Shadow in this book!

This book is the 6th in this series but can be read as a stand alone book. It’s a witchy/murder sleuth, it’s an easy read with a lovely feel to it but I loved this book from start to finish, the twists & turns were all over the place & I’m partially glad about the wedding in this one but not the end, i hope it the next one doesn’t end badly or I’ll cry. Thank you Bella for another wonderful book in this series.
I’m always eager to start a book in this series, so of course I was excited for this latest. Skylar’s cousin is visiting, Jen is close to getting married, and of course that means that a murder happens. I loved this latest installment to the series, and I just love all the characters who are fun and interesting. We end on an interesting note that means that maybe Skylar has a choice to make in the near future. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
This s the sixth volume in the Wedding Witch Series. Like the previous books, it is an enjoyable, fast-paced cozy murder mystery with paranormal elements. While part of a series, each book stands alone and gives necessary backstory without major spoilers. I love the whole series, but the current book is my favorite as Skye and her team have just days to save her best friend’s wedding. I readily recommend this book to fans of light, entertaining paranormal mysteries.
A complex mystery with creative worldbuilding and a stunning revelation at the end. The characters are fantastic (Miriam!), the familiars are adorable, and the humour is delightful. I was laughing out loud when Shadow and Wolfie were inventing spy-names. A wonderful book in a brilliantly addictive series.
A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

This is the first book I've read from the series, but I think it gives a good background throughout so that I didn't feel lost. Love paranormal cozy mysteries. This one was cute. Love the banter between characters, as well as the dynamic between them. It was an easy read, and I love cozy mysteries to cure book hangovers or to assist with book goals. This one is a perfect easy read, and I would love to read more from the series.
Another great book. This is book 6 of the wedding witch series. This story went with a childhood family friend visiting. Made me laugh and smile as magical trouble started. Than there was a murder and the old romance coming back. The book stopped where it left off on you know something else is going to happen. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Another wonderful romp with the Tidewater crew! I've really come to know and care about these characters, and I enjoyed how this mystery revolved around proving the innocence of one of their own. The addition of Skye's cousin Miriam was also a refreshing look into a more magical life. The ending cliffhanger has me eagerly anticipating the next book.
The series was captivating and emotionally engaging. The author's masterful storytelling evoked a range of powerful reactions, from laughter to tears. It was a truly immersive and memorable reading experience.
This is a fun read that you want to read all the way through in one sitting. What a great addition to the series. I just love the series and can only recommend it. I received a review copy and I'm leaving a voluntary and honest review.
I'm voluntarily leaving a review after receiving a free copy. Skylar and her friends had to rush to solve this mystery in time for the wedding. I liked how they did it. However thanks to visiting family, Skylar has a choice to make. I'm curious what she'll do.
The Something Borrowed, Something Brew: book 6 was intriguing to the end. The Wedding Witch cozy mystery is beautifully written. A countdown to prove Drew’s innocence to save their wedding!
I enjoyed this book very much. Looking forward to reading more of this series in the future. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
