I’m only slightly disappointed, I was fully expecting this to take place after the fall of the empire to set up where fan favorite characters ended up and where we might see them again. Instead it’s 3 stories set before the last run and one of them even set before A New Hope. The stories are good though. I liked them a good deal just felt strange not to show us where these characters are now. Always nice to see Aphra and Valance, and the story with Squad 99 was very dark. Hopefully we see these characters appear in this next run.
Watching Darth Momin lose his shit completely and crash out at a high society event was probably the biggest highlight out of this. My absolute favorite moment, when an ancient Sith Lord in modern times has an artistic "Dude, where's my respect?" moment. What an icon.
I love seeing more of Aphra and Valance, and Scar Squadron was a nice surprise as well. Very cool issue, can’t wait to see what’s in store for Star Wars comics in the future!
Three one-shots filling small nooks of the Galaxy. The first two good, the third, silly and unnecessary. Also known as the usual mix with such collections.
I'm starting to expand my Star Wars comic reading and this was a fun place to jump in. Definitely a lot of new characters for me, but I'm excited to go back and read more about them and catch them in upcoming series as well.
