KRAVEN'S MOST DANGEROUS GAME! The Sinister Six are all hunting Spider-Man and the Green Goblin for their ringleader, Kingpin - and this time, Kraven has the upper hand in Jonathan Hickman & Marco Checchetto's love letter to "Kraven's Last Hunt"!

As someone who is entering only their second year of reading comics monthly, I sometimes struggle with the fact that the issues are so short and far between each other. But this issue cooked. I loved the surprise of Richard Parker taking on the Spider-Man mantle while Peter is missing. I like the new dynamic between Richard and the AI Peter. Kraven is already sold to me as a high-tier Kraven iteration alongside Insomniac’s rendition from Spider-Man 2. Oh and seeing Peter Parker beat up a velociraptor is something I’ll never need to wish I could see because I have seen it and it is beautiful.

Ultimate Spider-Man #13 kicks things up a notch with stronger pacing and real action as Peter and Harry fight to escape Kraven in the Savage Land. It’s a big shift from the slower setup of past issues, finally letting Peter take the lead. Hickman’s inventive twists on canon continue to shine, and Checchetto’s art brings serious energy and cinematic flair to the chase sequences. You’ll need to suspend disbelief on a few plot gaps, but the momentum, emotional beats, and stunning visuals make this one of the series’ best yet. A thrilling read that proves this title still has plenty of web left to spin.
Ladies and gentlemen, this series has begun to find its stride.
Hickman, thanks for being subversive in such a fun way. We finally get Black Cat 🐈⬛ meeting Spider-man. Except, it’s actually Richard under the mask, and actually, the mask that the suit belong to is very sentient and posing as Peter? Wild stuff. Nice little turn of events that’s keeping me engaged and interested.
As always Marco is one of the best of his generation and his art is always exciting (and filled with cinematic debris!).
In the clutches of Kraven! I really like how we’re kicking off the sinister six with high stakes and an interesting challenge for both Peter and Harry. Kraven himself seems like normal universe Kraven but that’s okay. It’s also interesting to see what’s happening with Richard and the picto-suit Peter back home.
Peter's secret is exposed and Kraven is on the hunt. This was a great one. I liked Richard's exploration of the Venom suit and the banter between them helped fill in a lot of the blanks. Now Pete and Harry vs Dinosaurs.
This series continues to be peak. The Most Dangerous Game with Kraven is the best concept. Excited to see how it turns out. I also am interested in Richard potentially being "Agent Venom" and having Black Cat as a love interest. Just truly great stuff happening.
Another stellar issue, I love the heart and the edge of this series; the danger of the Maker's world really adds something to the story. I may have to go back and read the introductory mini now.
Hopefully the next issue isn't a one month jump again?
What the balls is happening! Peter and Harry have been gone for months and Richard is trying to be Spidey now. Kraven is scary as hell he simply hunts for the love of the game. I’m loving how intense this shit is !
Best issue for a while - I’m still not 100% sure how I feel about this taking place in real time so we’ve missed a whole month since the cliffhanger ending if the previous issue though
This was another fantastic issue. The art was great, as always, and I loved the storytelling elements. The tension, stakes, and commentary on AI were all well done.
