I simply can't stay away from Patrick & Lisa...
And their wicked games...

...I trusted him to keep me safe, to take me all the way to the edge of what I could take, and then to pull me back to safety.

I have to say, I am endlessly impressed by the consistent quality of this series. There are no unbelievable plot twists or insurmountable character flaws...

Patrick and Lisa are strong and intelligent characters who are slowly revealing themselves to each other. The love is warm and real between these two and transcends the play time spent in the infamous Examination Room...

Another lovely installment of Lisa and Patrick's budding relationship. The title is definitely appropriate as there is a bit of setback between Lisa and Patrick. It's a good one though. This one really shows how Lisa and Patrick are both getting over their past and trying to move on into a healthy relationship.

There is definitely growth exhibited by Lisa which is a relief. It was iffy with the second book because Lisa came across as a typical crazy female. Patrick's hang up is surprising and it's a well written point concerning his "anti-Andrea" focus.

The medical kink in this story is a bit more subdued yet still arousing. For those who enjoy enemas, this is a light one good to erotic-ize enema play. This is a sweet romance which ends in a note making me yearn for more. Next up, will it perhaps be Patrick's parents introduction? From a sexual perspective, can we dare hope for some fisting? *fingers crossed*

The only thing which throws me about this story is flipping from 1st point of view between Lisa and Patrick. I don't like it and it is a personal preference. It makes it more difficult even if they are switching between chapters because Patrick's point of view doesn't differentiate too much from Lisa's. Their voices come across the same. Because of this, I have to constantly remind myself which mind I'm in. Is this Lisa or Patrick? My recommendation is to go either 3rd person or to change how Patrick and Lisa come across. Because their first person voice is almost identical to me. They way they talk, the way they ponder about issues, and they way they relate to their friends is the same.

This kinky story is recommended to BDSM lovers who enjoy the medical scenes.

Ahhhhh. I'm loving this series. My only upset about this installment is that it just *ends*! Right on a cliffhanger! The previous three you knew were wrapping up, so it wasn't terribly unexpected, but this one surprised me. I am getting very wrapped up in the lives of Lisa and Patrick though.

Why, you ask? Well... first off, and most importantly to me, these characters are awesomely normal. No crazy stupid drama that would never in a million years happen to you. The things you read about could actually happen to the reader, and I really like that compared to how most romance novels follow. Next, I was a little concerned in the previous book that some of the sex (awesome as it was) was getting a bit repetitive. Not in this book! Whoo-hoo, do we have some creative scenes in this installment! More than anything, it is so nice to watch these characters grow and mature in this relationship. Their past still comes up (as it would with most people) but it hasn't been anything that they haven't learned from so, let's all cross our fingers lessons have been learned and we have an awesome HEA in the conclusion. :)

What the hell is up with all the enemas?! WHY?!?! I mean really, is that supposed to be some sexy thing?



I just can't. I mean he's giving her an enema like 3 times a week it seems, almost every time they play. Is that safe? I worry about her gut health and good gut flora. Sheesh! Hard pass.

Relapse didn't disappoint. In the newest release to the awesome Doctor Dom series Patrick and Lisa's relationship comes to the snag we have all been holding our breaths and knew was somewhere in their future. The question you are left with: is what they have enough to make it through or will they continue to let fear dictate their lives, and keep running from a past that can't be changed.

I was also left feeling quite stupid for having NOT figured out already that Patricks friends Doug, and Sara are THE Doug and Sara from House of Pain!!! :o I have the attention span of a gold fish!!! Now I am off the re-read THAT, bacause I can't remember what part Patrick may or maynot have played in their book!!

You are missing out if you haven't read these yet!!!

I just finished Relapse and I really enjoyed it. Tara doesn't disappoint in this one and I want more!!! You have to follow the series to understand what is going on. Series in order are as follows. Triage Observation Diagnose and now Relapse. We follow Lisa and Patrick as they have gone from lovers to a relationship. But we are now really getting into the Dom/sub play. Yes they had this in the others but now for me I feel like we are getting into the nitty gritty. The feelings/secrets aspect on it at least with Lisa. We do find out more about Patricks take on it too. There are obstacles in their way. Will they be able to overcome them? The story continues...

I am so hooked. I love the whole Dom/sub aspect. Tara has wrote the plot really well. Sometimes authors have a tendency to change the characters a bit but I love how they are the same yet they grow as a couple. Nothing feels rushed. We have them answering why they have some fears regarding Dom/sub roles. It totally makes sense. This shouldn't be rushed into lightly. I like how honest they are when told playing. They do have vanilla if you know what I mean but I want to read that too. That would be the only complaint that I have. It's still a good series though.

Patrick is of course a hottie. I love how he is with Lisa. You can tell he cherishes her yet takes his role seriously but with a twinkle in his eye. He still does some WTF moments but I'm used to them now. Lol. Lisa is such a sweetheart. I can understand how she is sometimes. Doesn't want to be hurt or not be able to stop things if they go to far. I love how they both feed off each other. It's very sexy.


I so cannot wait for more!!!

Lisa is keeping a secret from Patrick. A secret which possibly will break up their relationship. Patrick is so worried about Lisa’s security, they could be a target for Andrea’s ex boyfriend. Between secrets, threats, and bedroom play ocurre this book.

So far this was my favorite book. After a month of relationship Lisa and Patrick are ready for taking their relationship to the next level, he calls her his sub and she thinks about him as her Dom, also he gives a key from his house to her.

The BDSM scenes are really hot

“Your panties are dripping wet, kitten,” he observed. “Only bad girls get this excited by a spanking”



Patrick gets me completely

“Are you wet, Lisa?”

“Soaking,” I replied instantly

He laughed. “Show me. Stick two fingers in your pussy.”



And the ending? Argh! I want to punch him or her.

I really enjoyed read and review this series, and I’m dying for the fifth book’s release. If you like BDSM books you should give a try with this series.

Patrick just found out that his ex-wife, Andrea's Dom beat her up pretty badly, she was in the hospital and fighting for her life. Lisa feels overwhelmed by this, because Patrick leaves to be with Andrea, he is the doctor on call, he has to go. But this shows how insecure Lisa is in this relationship still, she questions everything, even him giving her a key and whispering the 3 magical words. Just go with it! Go with it! Lisa and Patrick talk, which is helpful for both of them. They also meet important people in each others lives. Things are moving ahead nicely. Then Lisa drops a bomb on Patrick and he isn't sure what he needs to do. He still loves Lisa, but can he trust her as his sub? Did Lisa make the fatal mistake of a sub?

4.5 Doctor Anderson Stars
After reading the Doctor Dom trilogy I became entranced with patrick and Lisa’s doctor play. Lisa and Patrick bring baggage, romance and BDSM to the examination table and it keeps me on the edge of my hospital bed. This isn’t a complete BDSM love story they do not hesitate to be vanilla. The difference in this is the doctor play taking the clean creepy hospital smell out and infusing it with a steamy connotation. It is hard to keep your mindset on the sexy part since your mind wants to remember hospital gowns and cold doctors hands and strange smells but I think Tara is effective for the most part. (granted I cannot get over the enema bag scenes )
Onto Relapse

What happens after you say I love you? –usually not rushing off to save your ex wife that received brain injury from a beating buy her boyfriend (If you are just tuning in Patrick is a neurosurgeon)

I was going to unscrew the showerhead, lube up your ass, and use the hose as an enema dispenser. I was going to give you privacy to expel it, of course..is it too much ?


I have to say that is some mcgiver shyt but sits a little uneasy for me. I have to say I have never heard of anyone using an enema without following it up with anal play so that is interesting.

the relationship between the two characters is very mature and I really liek that they talk after play and have honest communication. The conversations they have are very realistic and I just love the pairing of these two... I had no idea if we would survive this betryal of trust.... Holy amazing cliff hanger!!! I love how this author can really keep you begging for more! Tara knows the exact moment you are hooked and laughs and makes you beg for more!

The introduction of Liam and the security guards have me on my toes for the climax of the Doctor Dom series.

This is another solid story in the Doctor Dom series. The relationship between Patrick and Lisa continues to grow as Lisa begins to let go of her issues from the past while Patrick's issues become more apparent. This story picks up a little more drama with the addition of Patrick's ex-wife's abusive boyfriend, but that storyline remains secondary to the developing relationship between Patrick and Lisa.

There are several things I really like about this series. One is the relatively normal lives and likeability of both characters. Granted, having to perform brain surgery on your ex-wife that was assaulted by her dominant boyfriend may not be an issue a lot of us have to deal with, but even in that situation Patrick struggles with it in a way that one would expect of a real person. I also like the contrasting relationship of Lisa with her parents as opposed to the relationship Patrick has with his parents. Those differences provide a nice dynamic to the relationship. I also enjoyed getting to find out more about Patrick's past in this release.

For me the issue of Lisa not being willing to use a safeword earlier in the series became a little too much of an issue in this release. I am hoping that issue gets settled quickly in the fifth book and they can move on. I was not anticipating the cliffhanger at the end of this book, and was quite disappointed to realize I was at the end. I am looking forward to reading the fifth and final book in the series.

Loved this story...sex is absolutely fab. Patrick and Lisa's relationship is galloping along..fancy talking about children and marriage when you've only know each other just over a month..true love.
He sure likes is enemas even when he's not going to use her in that way, unusual part of play using enemas to creat different sensations...sounds interesting. I love that both of these characters have issues stemming from previous relationships. You can get a clear idea of how life and life experience affect people in different ways, very true to life. I do so feel for these two and I do hope they overcome their pasts.
I'm presuming Liam will become a feature in the next book, otherwise what's the point of introducing this mean sadistic character?. It was nice that Patricks ex wife ,even though she's mentioned and seriously I'll, that this wasn't an issue for these two, as that was at the start how I thought this book would go and develop...that was a nice surprise.
Can't wait for the last book in the series.

Patrick and Lisa. Patrick operated on Andrea and Andrea was put in a induced comma. Lisa had the guilt of not willing to use the safe word the night she spent with Patrick when her mom went to the ER, and she was avoiding his calls for one week. Their plays increasingly became more intense, and Lisa likes it.

Lisa finally told him about it at the end of the book. Right before that, she used the safe word in a play. Patrick was taken aback from Lisa's confession and wanted some time and distance. They took a week off from each other, and Patrick saw his therapist whom he hasn't seen for a while.

The therapist called it a storm in a teacup. Patrick understands it, but emotionally he felt guilty and like he failed. Liam who beat up Andrea is still at large and Lisa and Patrick have security people watching out for them.

I am really enjoying this series. Lisa and Patrick are great together but she needs to overcome her insecurities. She wasn't going to use her safe word one night when they were playing in Diagnosis which is a major trust issue between a Dom and his sub, in this book she is struggling with the realization that she needs to tell him what she was thinking. Will he ever trust her again....I hope so!

Great series, Looking forward to the next book Recovery.

Tara Crescent did it again. Each of these books have been completely amazing. I'm completely blown away by how sexy Doctor Dom smut is... never figured myself for a lover of that particular kind of kink, yet there I was devouring this series like it's a bacon maple donut. YUM!

If you love romance, BDSM, and generally emotional reads this is a must read series for you! I can't get enough I'm going to be so upset to finish out book five.
