Book two in the Klutzy The only thing more disastrous than Emma Young’s clumsiness is her dating record. After kissing one too many frogs, she’s ready to give up on men, retreat to her Irish hometown, and embrace a future of sweatpants and spinsterhood.
Too bad her mother didn't get the memo. So when Winnie learns that the hunky handyman she hired for her daughter is none other than Roan McKabe, the one who got away (but barely since Emma ran into his car), she decides Roan is the perfect man to fix more than just Emma’s house. Normally falling for Roan would be a positive step in Winnie’s plan, except when it comes to Emma, it means literally tumbling down the stairs and crashing at his feet. Clearly, Emma will need all the help she can get. Good thing Winnie is up to the challenge with her not-so-subtle matchmaking schemes!
But Winnie’s not the only one interested in Emma’s romantic future. Just when things are looking up, Mark crashes the party. Armed with appliances and rugby tickets, Emma's ex-husband is determined to win her back.
Join Emma and a colorful cast as she navigates meddling mothers, persistent exes, and clumsy encounters to embark on a journey of self-discovery that may ultimately lead to falling in love – hopefully with fewer bruises this time!

Emma moves from her home in Ireland to London, after divorcing her husband Mark, hoping for a better lifestyle, but she is soon disappointed, after being “let go” from her job, and dating men who would rather take a phone call was not something she expected.
She decides to move back home, but has to deal with her meddling mother, Winnie, who means well, and her ex- husband, who wants to be friends. Enter a handsome handyman, Roan, who finds Emma very attractive, despite her clumsiness, and their relationship blossoms, until Mark becomes a nuisance, and Emma is faced with losing Roan if she doesn’t stand up for herself.
As usual, The author has created believable characters, and situations.
I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this honest review voluntarily.
I laughed out loud at Emma’s exploits, and enjoyed every minute of reading this story. I am not posting any spoilers, as that wouldn’t be fair to Readers, who can enjoy finding out who Emma chooses to be with.
This was exactly what I needed. An escape to the lush countryside of Ireland filled with cottages and pubs…and crazy mothers. A light, hilarious read that had me in stitches and left me feeling lighthearted and happy. I enjoyed every page of this rom-com and loved all of the characters. Even the ones that drove me crazy! Emma and her story were so relatable. Jude shines a light on the hilariously horrific reality of dating after divorce and how amazing it can feel to find a person that makes you believe in love again. Emma’s mother Winnie drove me crazy but had me laughing at her shenanigans because you can’t help but love her. She reminded me of the mom on the Murder She Baked series on Hallmark. As for Roan…our adorable contractor..he was perfect for Emma. And Mark? Well he’s like a bad penny isn’t he? I loved the chaos and confusion, and that poor Emma can’t seem to master stairs. If you’re in the mood for something light and funny with sweet romance, this is the book for you.
Thank you to the Author for the eArc, my opinions are truthful and my own!
This was a very good story. Not quite as funny as I was hoping from the first in the series but I did enjoy it. Roan was very understanding and I like the relationship between him and Emma. I like Emma’s relationship with Winnie and the goings on with her. Louie is probably my favorite character lol #arcreview #beccasbookbites I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Jude McLean once again delivers a hilarious novel of a disaster walking. Emma is both sweet and feisty as she stumbles through life and love making for the most entertaining book. Her and Roan are absolutely fire together but with Mark popping in it all becomes a muddled mess. The break out character is definitely Winnie, Emma's mother, who attempts to help but is really the crux of humor when she's around. This book is fun from the beginning and worth every page.
I just love Jude McLean’s writing. This next installment of the Klutzy Collection is so cute! I’m so happy Roan gets his girl in this one since we were introduced to him in Arse Over Irish Teacup. I’m also obsessed that the O’Brians are always somehow woven into the story! The story leading into the climax is also superb. Mark can feck off and just doesn’t get it! Also the dialogue from Louie is icing on the cake! Thank you to Jude McLean for this ARC for my honest review!
Emma is a klutz, she trips, she falls, she bumps into things and people and causes chaos. However she is beautiful and charming and has recently returned to Ireland and bought a house. Her cheating ex husband comes sniffing around and there is also a delightful handyman. Add in an Irish mother, Winnie and we have the recipe for hilarity.
Cute and clumsy. I have a difficult time processing someone is do clumsy and didn't find this one that cute or funny. But the struggle in the relationship is relatable.
Jude McLean could send me her grocery list and I would read it! This was such a great second chance romance that had me laughing so hard. I love the banter and the FMC’s clumsiness was extremely relatable for me!!
Super cute, short and funny, really loving this series. In this one we get to see Roan's story with the very clumsy Em and her ever present mom Winnie. (Which she is a momma bear) I love the relationship between mother and daughter. They are quirky and boundaries are not there for either of them 😂 Roan the ever patient, knows what he wants and he is just the perfect man for Em and her clumsiness. After some "time apart" Em and Roan have a nice HEA and are helping Winnie find hers again.
