This book boasted a lot about being accessible and about leaving all the tougher questions to "ask a statistician," but it was still pretty difficult to follow. The examples chosen seemed to often have trick questions that had random "and sometimes Y" sort of exceptions to the rule. Sure, that helped us avoid those problems on tests, but it was terrible for introducing new concepts. I also had trouble figuring out how to use the statistical tables at the end of the book and would have loved them to lead me through it. Also, variables were often reintroduced at points in the book without referencing where to look them up to find out what they were. All that being said, I'm getting an A in my quantitative methods class, so I guess this book is teaching me plenty.
