In the wild mountains of the Montana Territory, the Coulter ranch is a place of family, second chances…and a hidden fortune.
Sampson Coulter is determined to undo his disastrous mistake that is jeopardizing his family’s future. Now he’s deeply embedded in the corrupt mining empire of the ruthless Mick McPharland, and has earned the trust of Jedidiah, the brutal right-hand man. When she seeks help from her father, Jedidiah, she never imagines he’ll force her to marry Sampson Coulter, the kind man who only gave her a ride to town. Though her father has always been willing to pass her off, at least she has Sampson’s promise to protect her and the baby. It doesn’t hurt that he’s the most handsome man she’s ever seen.
Marrying Jedidiah’s daughter adds an impossible complication to Sampson’s mission. It seems he can’t have it all—redemption for himself, justice for the victims of the corruption, protection for the innocent…and a life with the woman and babe he’s coming to love.

I really liked this one! I love a good marriage of convenience story and this one is my favorite of Misty's so far in this series. I really need to go back and read more of this series, because I am so connected to this family!
Saving the Mountain Man's Legacy is the series finale in this series. We follow Jedidiah's daughter, Grace Hampton, who is on her way to town to see her father with the newborn baby someone left on her doorstep to raise as her own. She runs into Sampson Coulter, who is determined to undo his mistake he made that has jeopardized his family. Sampson takes Grace and the newborn baby girl to her father safely, yet her father isn't having it. He says Sampson has ruined her reputation in their travels, even though nothing happened between them. He forces them to marry. We see their bond grow - not just between each other but with the precious baby they are raising. The story continues on here and we root for Sampson in his journey from regret to redemption.
Misty packs a lot in these stories - the family elements, faith content, rocky mountain settings, romance - you name it, she can keep you invested!
I loved Grace and Sampson together. It was nice to see this slow burn romance between them - even though they were forced to marry, they took their true romance slow. Sampson is an instant protector hero you want to root for - his battle isn't just about his family back home, but the new family in Grace and baby Ruby.
Grace wasn't afraid to jump right in to help either, which was great to see her bravery right in with everyone else.
Overall, I think a lot of people who read Christian Historical Fiction would like these. These are quick, "bingeable" reads I recommend!
Thanks to Misty Beller for a ARC to honestly read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Misty M. Beller’s Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy immerses readers in the Montana wilderness, where danger reaches beyond the physical into the depths of the spirit—an unspoken battle within the heart. The author tells a tale of redemption and love while she immerses you in a world where every decision carries weight, and every step forward requires immense trust in God. Sampson Coulter’s determination to protect his family’s future from the grip of corruption is about survival and it’s about finding strength in places he never thought to look. As he grapples with his past and the monstrous forces threatening his world, his journey of transformation becomes an ongoing act of surrender.
Grace Hampton’s world is turned upside down when a newborn baby is left on her doorstep. Forced into a marriage with Sampson Coulter for protection, she soon finds herself discovering a love that only God could orchestrate. Though born out of necessity, their bond becomes a foundation for themes of sacrifice, trust, and unconditional love. When Sampson prays, "Help me love her the way You love us. Unconditionally," the weight of that prayer reverberates throughout the novel. His growth is as gradual and intricate as the rocky terrain he traverses, and it’s this genuine vulnerability that makes his character shine. Sampson’s faith journey is raw and relatable, stripped of pretense, reminding us all that it’s not about perfection but the willingness to lay everything down.
Beller’s writing brings the untamed beauty of the Montana Territory to life with authentic depth. The weathered mountains, the cold, and the isolation mirror the heartache and loneliness that Sampson and Grace must overcome. Yet even in this vast, often inhospitable land, there’s a sense of hope that never wavers—a truth that the characters find not in the absence of danger, but in the presence of God. Every storm, every quiet sunrise, every unsettling moment in the dark is a part of a larger mosaic of grace and divine purpose.
This novel is a testament to how God works in the most unexpected ways. Beller doesn’t offer easy answers but invites readers to consider the long, sometimes painful road to healing. Through Sampson’s prayerful reflections and his growing relationship with Grace, we’re reminded that love isn’t just an emotion; it’s a choice—a choice to trust, to sacrifice, and to believe in our Sovereign, Almighty God.
"God did make us," Sampson says. "But He didn’t just make everything and walk away." This profound truth is the heart of the story: God isn’t distant. He’s present, guiding, and molding His people, even when it feels like everything is falling apart.
Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy is a gripping journey that contrasts high-stakes danger with the safety found in God. Beller weaves a narrative that immerses readers in thrilling peril while showcases the profound peace and security that come from trusting in God. This story left this reader in awe of the unshakable strength and peace we find in His faithfulness, even in the most uncertain and dangerous of times.
I received a digital ARC of this book from the author. I am not required to write a positive review nor paid to do so. This is my honest and unbiased review. My thoughts and opinions expressed in this book review are my own. My review focuses on writing and story’s content, ensuring transparency and reliability.
This was a fantastic story! It is the 8th book in the series but it works as a standalone. However there are reoccurring characters. Grace has had a baby left on her doorstep. She is on her way to meet with her father to be on her own. While on her journey Sampson comes upon her and offers her help to get to her father since he works for him. As they travel they have to stay overnight in a cabin resulting in Grace’s father forcing them to marry. Yes a marriage of convenience story and what a great one it is! I loved Grace and Sampson and their little baby. They learn how to be a family and it’s so adorable. I love how willing Sampson is to put his life on the line to protect this woman and child he just met. Grace’s dad is horrible. I loved seeing all the Coulter clan again. There is great Christian content throughout. I would say this is definitely my favorite story of the series out of the ones I’ve read. I definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
So good to get Sampson's story. He's been working in the mine of the men who stole from his family. Sampson is treated poorly and does what he's told. That includes marrying the daughter of one of the horrid men he works for.
Sweet to see trust and love blossom between Sampson and Grace.
Heartwarming conclusion to the series.
My gratitude to the author for a complimentary e-copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions shared are my own.
The cover drew me in and the rest of the story was filled with romance, mystery and suspense!
So many great characters from little Ruby, Sampson, Grace and the entire Coulter family. I also forgot to mention Two Stones and his love for the Coulter family and his relationship with God!
I loved how Sampson sought to do the right thing in so many areas of his life even when it was difficult.
This is the first book that I've read in the series about the Coulter family but I need to go back and read the rest of the stories.
Thanks to the author for the arc. The opinions are my own.
I have been waiting on pins and needles for Sampson’s story but am so sad to see the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series end. This doesn’t disappoint as the conclusion was a wrap up that answered questions and satisfied my heart with the outcome. These brothers felt like family since the beginning and have you fully invested in their lives throughout all eight books. I love the newest character of Grace Hampton and her love for the newborn left on her doorstep. She becomes a fierce protector of her new charge and will do whatever necessary to ensure her safety. Meeting her helps Sampson to grow and become the man he was destined to be. This shows that when we run from God’s plan for our life His intervention is more amazing than anything we can plan. I love the storytelling ability of Ms Beller as she always makes me feel like I’m sitting on the porch with family listening to her tell us a story. It grabs you and keeps your attention until the end. I recommend reading this entire series as you won’t want to miss out on anything. I received a complimentary copy from CelebrateLit/author. The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required.
In this book we finally get Samspon's story. It was tender and sweet with a focus on unconditional love and forgiveness While traumatic experiences forced Sampson to marry a girl he just meet to protect, slowly she starts to win him over. And while she cannot think of ever trusting anyone again, Sampson and his family show her that they will love and take care of her no matter what. Cute fast read. Again I felt this book had more potential than explored due to not being as big as a normal size book. While not what I usually read, it's perfect for those who don't want an over serious book.
I LOVED this book so much! It just had all the great things that I need for this story. This was a marriage of convenience/arranged marriage type of book (you’ll understand when you read). And I was here for it! I loved that the FMC was a mother to someone who wasn’t related to her by blood. I loved all the action and mystery in the book along with the Christian aspects. This is a sweet, closed door romance. The writing was phenomenal and kept me wanting to read more to see what would happen next. I loved how the author developed the romance between the two characters too since they started as strangers. I highly recommend this one if you are looking for a great historical fiction Christian romance!
I received an eARC from the author which in no way effects my review.
Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy – the Misty M. Beller book I’ve been both eager and dreading to read – is finally here, and oh man what a great wrap-up to this fantastic series. I have been drawn to Sampson’s story since the surprising events of Winning the Mountain Man’s Love, and each book since then has just made me even more invested in how things would turn out for him and with the subplot involving the family’s sapphire mine. I had NO IDEA how Beller would tie up the latter, so I was hanging on every compelling twist and I loved what she did with it!
We saw how corrupt ‘Mick’ McPharland and Jedediah Hampton are in Pretending to Be the Mountain Man’s Wife. We met Mick’s daughter Jess in that book too, and she is just as endearing as her father is cruel. As a side note, I’ve really enjoyed watching how well she fits in with the Coulter family since then. We especially get to see it in this final book where I also loved how Beller brings Jess & Gil’s story full circle in an unexpected way. But I’m really here to talk about Sampson and how HIS story comes full circle too. He’s been so determined to protect his family from the danger he blames himself for bringing into their safe haven, but the lessons he learns about the people God places in our lives to help carry our burdens really touched me. I’ve been doing a study on Galatians 6:2 and how the word ‘burden’ used there implies something large like a boulder that you cannot carry on your own, so this just reinforced what God has already been teaching me. Sampson certainly has one of those burdens and gains a few over the course of this story too.
In Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy, we and Sampson not only meet Jedediah’s sweet daughter Grace and the friend’s baby she’s raising, we also get an even more close-up view of how truly wicked her father is. I knew he was bad, but wow. And poor Grace has no idea. When her path crosses with Sampson’s, they are forced by her father into a marriage of convenience. This is one of my favorite tropes, and it’s always a delight when that trope is combined with Misty Beller’s fabulous characters and tender love stories. Grace is such a wonderful character and a great partner for Sampson. I appreciated that, in Grace’s relationship with Ruby and in Sampson & Grace’s relationship with each other, love is undertaken as a choice even before the depth of feelings match. And ohhhhhhhh, Beller takes them through the wringer in this novel, but that just leaves more room for the awesome Coulter family to show up en masse and shower God’s love on Grace and little Ruby and, of course, Sampson. I just adore this extended family.
Bottom Line: Brace yourselves, y’all. In Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy, author Misty M. Beller weaves a high-stakes and compelling story that barrels toward the inevitable Coulter-McPharland-Hampton showdown that’s been brewing for the last few books. It’s also a sweet & swoony marriage of convenience romance that leads to deep faith journeys for both Grace and Sampson. I loved the progression from meeting as strangers to being forced to marry to learning how to be a family and finally to falling in love, and I so appreciated Sampson’s choice to love Grace as God loves her. It’s life-changing for Grace and for Sampson (and will be for Ruby too in the long run). All of the above kept me glued to the pages of this series finale. Probably my favorite part of this story though (besides the Coulters themselves) is the underlying theme that God works in unexpected ways and sometimes even through unexpected people. Such a tender & satisfying way for this series to end (if it must).
(I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book)
“Once they arrived, she'd be back under her father's protection. The thought almost made him spit. Jedidiah was no protector. He was a bully. A lunatic. A man without a soul.”
I’ve been waiting for this conclusion to the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch by Misty M. Beller, for a while! Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy is Sampson Coulter‘s story. Sampson is the Coulter brother that has gone AWOL from the family compound to work for the enemy, Mick McPharland, in his mines. None of the Coulters can understand why, nor why Sampson has refused their efforts to bring him home, out of that extremely dangerous situation. Both Mick and his foreman,Jedidiah, are known for their evil, cruel ways.
When Sampson is out on a mission for Jedidiah,he meets a very young lady with a baby, out in the elements. She claims she is looking for her father and his protection. Except, her father is Jedidiah. Having seen violent beatings and other crimes performed at the word of Jedidiah, something stirs within Sampson to provide protection for this poor, alone, young woman. Help that he is sure Jedidiah is not about to provide.
Finding out that Sampson has rescued his daughter, Grace, and baby Ruby, Jedidiah should be grateful. Instead, he forces Sampson and Grace to marry, yet pays no attention to his newly arrived daughter.
Knowing Jedidiah is up to no good, esp. aimed at the Coulters, Sampson walks into a bad situation.
When Sampson, determined to fix his past mistakes, finds himself in an impossible situation, he refuses to try to help Grace. He tells his brother, "She needs someone better than me.” To which his brother, wise beyond his years, replies, "You might be right about that. But you're her husband. Your job now is to become the man she needs."
“None of us are ever going to be good enough. Not on our own. That's why we need God and each other, why we're stronger together. You can't do this alone, so it's a good thing you came home.”- Miles
Grace, too, plays the independent card. If only she does this or that, she can fix the situation for Sampson and all the Coulters. After a while, I wanted to shake these two. They are surrounded by so many loving, accepting, warm, and forgiving people. Yet they insist on going it alone. It will take a lot for these two to realize Someone wants to be in on their plans, guiding their footsteps, and that He has given them lots of helpful family!
I only wished we could have had more of Miles’s story. I really liked a totally unexpected twist as the action gets hot. I will miss the Coulters, but fortunately, Ms. Beller is starting a new series, the Lords of the Rockies.
I received a copy of the book from Celebrate Lit. I also bought my own copy. No positive review was required, and all opinions are my own.
Notable Quotables:
“God loved them, from the very beginning. And He never stopped loving them, trying to reach them, even to the end. Yet He gives us free choice to accept His love or push it away.”
What a wonderful wrap up to the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series! I wondered how the author was going to bring Sampson back into the family after his actions caused so much trouble and danger for them.
Sampson and Grace were so sweet together and I loved the way they both were devoted to baby Ruby. Grace and Sampson may have been forced into a marriage together, but the way they began to grow to care for each other was heartwarming.
This story provided so many special moments, from Grace learning about God’s love for her to Grace finally realizing what a kind and supportive family looked like. The way Sampson and Grace tried to be there for each other through the difficult and scary situations they ended up in helped to solidify their growing care for each other.
This was such an enjoyable story and provides closure to this family of brothers.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
This compelling novel (Book 8) set in frontier-era Montana completes the author's wildly popular Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series. I was gripped from page one by this riveting clean Christian romance filled with suspense and mystery. If you love high-octane danger, family sagas, ready-made families, and Christmas, you will finish this in one happy sitting. It can be read solo, but like me, you will want to go back and devour the whole series. Enjoy!
Beautiful and Gospel-centered, heartwarming and sweet
Lonely and isolated but compassionate Grace is for a shock when faced with her controlling father, Jedidiah, the evil right hand of the treacherous mine-owner, Mick. Forced into a marriage of convenience, both Grace and Sampson have to face their insecurities and trust God has a perfect plan. And as the situation unravels, “the prodigal son” Sampson is forced to realize he needs God’s and not his strength or power to finally redeem what he’s set to do so many months ago.
Engaging style, beautiful prose, well-developed plot, lovable and complex main characters are just a few things you can expect from this novel. Moreover, as always Mrs. Beller brings the gospel to the front with its incredible story of redemption and salvation. Faith becomes its own character that opposes selfish gain, evil intentions, and treachery. I loved the portrayal of true acceptance, of compassionate care, of undeserving love - things exemplified by Christ-bearers to a t here.
Some of my absolute favorite scenes: Sampson feeding baby Ruby with tenderness The Gospel shared by Sampson The entire Coulter family loving on Grace and Ruby Sampson praying to God Grace and Sampson learning to love (so sweet and wholesome) Two Epilogues!
A great finish to the series, with questions answered, mysteries solved, and loose ends tied. But mostly, faith is strengthened by loving and caring God of second chances.
Possible triggers: feeling of abandonment, broken familial relationships, physical abuse.
I had a privilege to read an advanced copy and absolutely loved it! All opinions expressed are my own.
I would give this book four stars just because I didn’t like the resolution to the strawberry theft. But the series gets five stars. I’ve done nothing this week but binge this series. I’m new to this author so I have a lot of her stuff to read still. Lovely thought. These books are simple and easy to read but they contain a lot of heart, faith, and scripture, which I love. The characters are unforgettable. I felt like I was a part of the Coulter family, sitting at the big table with them all, sleeping in the loft under handmade quilts. It has a Seven Brides For Seven Brothers feel to it. A couple of things drove me nuts. Why is there a P in Sampson? It’s spelled Samson. They only own 160 acres. That’s not nearly enough land to support seven families with cattle, and who knows how long they’ll be getting strawberries? In Montana in 1870 there would have been another 0 in that number. You’ll understand when you finish it. Otherwise, a great series. I don’t read a lot of romance set in America. I spend most of my time in Britain during the Napoleonic Wars, the Regency and the Victorian era. This was a fun change of pace. Highly recommended.
Wow! More than 5 stars! This book blew me away! Surprises are around every corner! There's a "forced" marriage, deception, murder and more. There's also a sweet love story!
The characters are wonderful! There are a lot of familiar characters from the other books in this series. I really enjoyed Sampson's story! He's compassionate, a protector, loyal, and steadfast. I liked that he shared his faith with Grace. Grace is amazing! She not only took in an abandoned baby, but she's also strong and capable. The Coulter family is hospitable. They welcome Grace and Ruby with open hearts and arms.
This is the last book in this series 😥 but I eagerly look forward to the next book by this author!!
I was provided a complimentary arc copy of the book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was an excellent wrap up to the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series! Mystery, danger, intrigue, faith, romance, and so much more. I highly recommend this book for fans of Christian Historical Romance. You won't be disappointed!
Now I need to go back and read the other books in the series I've missed!
4.5 stars rounded up to 5. I'm so glad we finally got some answers to all the questions surrounding Sampson! The 1/4 of the novel was my favorite because Misty M Beller wrote in a twist that I didn't see coming. Also, I loved Epilogue 2. This was such a sweet ending to the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series. Well done, Misty!!!
I needed the many reminders of Gods heart for His children. This book delivered it with a wide range of characters helping display them. Most of the story is set within “..a very life-changing fortnight.” Enjoy reading the details of Sampson and Grace’s story.
I loved this action-packed romance with a swoon worthy protective hero, strong and caring heroine, and the fun of the entire Coulter clan! Clean but sizzling romance is paired with an exciting plot that never stops being suspenseful, and the theme of forgiveness brings emotional and spiritual depth to the story. This satisfying ending to the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series concludes Coulter family’s struggles against the villains, and readers will enjoy the exciting saga wrapped up so well. This is a great story in a small package, and I highly recommend it!
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own, and I really did love it!
Saving the Mountain Man's Legacy by Misty M. Beller
Rating: Four point five stars

Thoughts: Thank you so much for the ARC copy that I received! This book was the perfect ending to the series, with all the characters together, Sampson back with his family, and everyone married. Forced marriages (obviously when they are clean with nothing bad in them) are so cool! Because the characters are basically stuck together, knowing nothing about each other. The guy who we all thought was the worst, even though he still is bad actually ended up needing the one who basically saved the day. Ruby obviously was the best character ever, even though she was a tiny baby, thought I did really like Sampson and Grace. And the two epilogues!!! SO GOOD!!
Bible Verse: Joshua 3:7 KJV [7] And the LORD said unto Joshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee.
What a fantastic conclusion to a fabulous series! Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy’s the exciting final book in the Brothers of Sapphire Ranch series & wraps things up beautifully. Sampson Coulter’s the black sheep of the family & I loved reading his story. A forced marriage of convenience, instant family, sweet romance, & danger at every turn made this hard to put down.
Days before Christmas, Sampson Coulter finds himself out in the cold running errands for the corrupt mining organization he’s embedded himself in. He’s determined to bring down the men who’ve ruined so many lives & stolen his family’s sapphires. When he discovers a woman & baby alone with only a wagon for shelter, he offers his help. But, when he finds out who her father is, he’s definitely wary.
When Grace Hampton found a newborn baby on her doorstep, she immediately wanted to care for the sweet little girl. Though nervous, she seeks out her ruthless father for help. While traveling to see him, she meets the handsome Sampson Coulter who offers to accompany her. But instead of receiving help, her father forces her to marry Sampson. What starts out as a marriage of convenience, soon turns to more, but can Sampson keep his new family safe from Jedediah Hampton & the criminal mining organization he works for?
Loved Sampson’s & Grace’s romance! Cue the happy sighs. This story was filled with sizzling romantic tension, faith, strong character development, & darling scenes with Sampson caring for his new daughter, Ruby. I enjoyed the forced proximity & watching him & Grace fall in love. I also loved seeing characters from previous books. Sampson has a lot to learn about being a husband & luckily his brothers have plenty of great advice.
The suspense was intense as Sampson tries to bring down the mining organization with the added complication of Jedediah being Grace’s father. There were definitely some nail-biting scenes & twists!
Highly recommend! I’m so sad to see this series end, but am looking forward to getting glimpses of these characters in future series. I received an advanced copy from the author but also purchased in Kindle Unlimited. All opinions are my own & voluntarily provided.
If you haven’t read the books in this series, stop everything. Grab book one and settle in for an adventure that follows brothers on their journey to find happiness. Along the way the author highlights each brother and gives readers a look at life where hard work, faith and family are important.
Sampson is such a great character with his work ethics, deep faith and loyalty. I love how he is willing to help others out. When he meets Grace we see a side of him that is endearing. He is not fond of Grace’s father but he knows he needs to help her out. Sampson has been working for Grace’s father who is not an honest man. Will Grace be safe with her father?
Grace is a sweet young woman who finds herself raising a baby alone. She is desperate to start a new life and decides to go see her father. Grace has no idea that her father is not someone she should be around. I liked how she trusts Sampson even when there is danger near. Her desire to know God is refreshing and is illustrated beautifully.
I really like how Sampson’s family is always there for each other. They welcome Grace with open arms and show her that there are good people out there in the world. I kept wondering what his brothers would do once they found out who beat Sampson so badly. They must be wondering about Grace and the baby as well.
I love when Sampson’s older brother tells Grace, “Family is never an imposition.” The shock of seeing Sampson beat up gives Grace pause. Will he tell her who did this to him? His protectiveness of Grace and the baby is nice to witness. The story is a testament to how much we all need Jesus. We can’t “do this alone.” “None of us are good enough.”
A big thank you to the author for an amazing series . I love how the author shared God in a sweet way and weaved His goodness, grace and protection throughout this series. I’m sad to say goodbye but am looking forward to a new adventure with the author.
I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion.
A couple things to note, before beginning my review. I knew this book was part of a series, but I didn't realize that it is the last book in the series (and yes, I just realized that it actually says that in the description) - and I haven't read any of the other ones. That seemed very important, the further into the story I read (especially as more characters were added). Also, this book seems to be a little longer than a novella, but not nearly as long as a typical novel, so parts of it seemed very rushed to me. So, those notes aside, I really enjoyed this story! I liked Grace and Sampson right away, and who wouldn’t love tiny Ruby? I loved Sampson’s family and how they welcomed Grace with open arms. I appreciated Grace’s strength and determination to help with the problems they were faced with. I enjoyed how the author set the stage to tell this final story and how she wove each of the prior characters into the story, though I didn’t know that until after reading it and going to search out the other books. If I had been a loyal reader who had followed the entire series, I believe I would have found the ending exceptionally satisfying, with what seemed to be all of the loose ends tied up neatly. Having not read the other books, I did still quite enjoy how it came to a close. Overall, I would highly recommend this book if you are looking for a quick historical read with a sweet romance and adventure. I would also probably suggest trying the other books first, so you would have the further depth of characters that I was missing a little bit.
*I received this book through Celebrate Lit for promotional purposes. I was not required to write a positive review and have not been compensated for it in any way. All opinions expressed are my own.
"When a Coulter man looks at you that way, you can be sure he's given you his whole heart. Don't doubt it for a second."
Suspense, surprises, faith, danger, and mystery! A wonderful conclusion for the Coulter brothers. This book could be read as a stand alone but it would be much more enjoyable having read the previous books as some storylines continue.
I so enjoyed getting to know Samson better. He was loyal, determined, loving, and protective. He had some hard lessons to learn. His devotion to his brothers, Grace, and Ruby was amazing. Seeing his faith grow was perfect. Grace was determined, trusting, and caring. She learned some hard truths and came to find out what family truly meant. Seeing her come to know the true Father was wonderful. I loved seeing all the brothers (and Two Stones) working together to protect the ranch. And the wives/fiancees are some strong, loving women.
The second epilogue 🫠 so unexpected but such a perfect ending!!
A few quotes: “Not like I see you. But you can talk out loud or just in your thoughts. He hears. It’s hard to explain how you can tell, but… it’s like I feel a peace when I talk to Him. Like I know my thoughts or words were heard.”
“We're so glad to have you here, Grace. Sampson is… well, he's special to all of us. Anyone important to him is important to us too."
"Family is never an imposition. You're a Coulter now, and we take care of our own."

Loved this story! What a journey! From beginning to end it was truly a most inspiring and memorable story. Author Beller knows how to pen a story of courage, faith, love, and family. This is my first read of the series but now I NEED the others! Even though this is the last book on the series of the ‘Brothers of Sapphire Ranch’, it can be read as a stand alone novel since it’s a story of its own, Sampson’s story. With its much anticipated high-stakes danger since he “joined” the enemy, and all that’s thrown at him, like a marriage of convenience and a baby, you won’t want to put this book down until you know how the story unfolds. But not everything is danger because by the magic of the author’s words we’ll enjoy a Coulter’s Christmas, heartwarming family time, just like Grace is grateful for… “Family. Love. Home. Every blessing she’d ever longed for, right here. And she’d never stop being grateful.” …and not one but TWO epilogues! You can’t beat that! Love it!
Grace 💖 Sampson
Some excerpts I loved… “Wishing for impossible things would only lead to heartache.”
“Family is never an imposition.”
“None of us are ever going to be good enough. Not on our own. That's why we need God and each other, why we're stronger together. You can't do this alone…”

My review today is on the Christian Historical Western Romance, Saving the Mountain Man's Legacy. This is book eight in the series Brother's of Sapphire Ranch. I am a huge fan of Mistie's work. I have really enjoyed this series. The characters are truly awesome and I love the story line. You are going to love it. Unfortunately it's the last book of the series.
Sampson Coulter is working for the men who stole a years worth of sapphires from his family's ranch. It was all his fault. He is trying to make things right. He is delivering a wagon load of dynamite to the mine when he comes across a woman with a newborn baby out in the middle of nowhere. He stops to help her only to find out she is the daughter of the brutal man he works with. He must help her.
Grace Hampton found a newborn baby on her doorstep. She must have help so she travels to find her father. She is having trouble caring for the child while driving the wagon. A man comes along and drives her to town. Surely her father will help her. The only help he gives her is to force her to marry the man who brought her to town.
A terrifying journey to stay ahead of these evil men. Sampson is badly beaten and left for dead. God has a plan for these two broken souls, a plan for hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. A plan for peace and not for destruction. Give Him your heart and watch Him turn your life around.
When Sampson Coulter ran across a young lady with a baby and offered assistance he never, in a million years, thought he would end up married with a baby. That was not what he had in mind at all. The young lady turned out to be Grace, Jedidiah's daughter. Jedidiah worked for McPharland and was in charge of things. He was also an evil man, as mean as Satan himself.
Upon meeting with his daughter he decided Sampson and Grace would get married and refused to listen when they tried to explain things. Sampson decided the best thing for both Grace and himself was to marry Grace. Otherwise they both might end up dead. Neither of them imagined or were totally prepared for the adventures ahead of them. Sampson was trying to get his bride to a safe place on the Coulter ranch so his family could look out for and protect his new bride and the baby.
Are they really safe or did he put the rest of the Coulter family in danger by going there? Sampson is determined to make things right with his family and make up for the stolen sapphires that McFarland stole from them.
Travel along as the adventures and suspense heighten. Will they recover their lost jewels or will the entire Coulter family end up dead at the hands of the evil men?
You won't want to put it down as you get caught up quickly in Sampson's journey back to his family. McFarland and Jedidiah are not men to mess with and no one ever just walks away from them.
Saving the Mountain Man’s Legacy, by Misty M. Beller is the 8th and final book in the Sapphire Brother series. This story focuses on Sampson, the younger brother that left the ranch to work for the man who stole their jewels. While traveling he sees a young lady traveling alone while caring for an infant. Her father is no other than his employers right hand man. When they meet up with her father, he forces them to marry.
This is such an enjoyable story. I adore the main characters in this story. Sampson and Grace are both such caring people who accept circumstances they find themselves in and work through the challenges put upon them. I especially enjoyed the parts of Jewel recalling her father’s actions toward her and her mother. While the story has mystery and suspense, it also has deep family devotion and clean romance. I’ve enjoyed this series with the Coulter family and found this story to be such an inspiration. It was enjoyable to see the change that came over Sampson’s employer when he realized the way Grace’s father acted. I especially enjoyed how the older brother felt about the brothers and their families and how we took care of each of them in the end. This is just a wonderful series that focuses on family, faith and caring for others.
I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this book, this is my honest review.
