Introduction of each poet accompanied by a supporting poem from books published by BOA in the last thirty years. Quotes "The Angels of Poetry" by A. Poulin, Jr. who founded BOA, changed lives through his teaching, his poetry, translations. As Michael Waters says in his introduction, "He spoke of poetry as he did of His description of meals would make your mouth water and at the same time, fill you with regret because there had never before been such meals and never would be again.".
What I especially like is that most of the poems have a note from the author which tells about the poem. I think this is interesting. When the author was unavailable for this, they have included a note from an editor or other review. Some great poems collected in this nice, FREE collection.
Beautiful. Rochesterians who enjoy poetry are probably already familiar with BOA. This is a good one to read while on a lake-side holiday. Or it would make a good gift.
