Filled with open-ended questions to encourage connection with nature, relevant facts about aspects of summer, poetry to read in the shade, and activities like bark rubbings or sundial construction, this slim volume really is a field guide to engaging with the environment during the summer season. Field Guide encourages, above all, thoughtful observation and appreciation for nature and is an answer to, "There's nothing to do....I'm bored."
