I did not want Bri and Omar’s trip to end! This is such a fun spicy light hearted rom-com that will have you smiling through out 98% and your heart breaking for about 2% but that 2% is worth it.
This is book 2 of the Cat Ladies Rule The World Series and you can absolutely read this as a standalone but Ben and Amelia story is equaling amazing and you are introduced to Bri in that one and they have some of Omar’s background.
Omar is Ben and Coop’s (Valentine’s Rebellion) company driver and while they do not need a driver they are close with him and keeping him on while he is finishing his degree. Omar is also known as AWOL to his friends because of his lack of commitment. Bri is a ball of sunshine who spent her life taking care of her kids and after her divorce she is not really looking for a relationship. While they have a good relationship post break up you will see girl is better off without him.
She has always wanted to travel but doesn’t drive and when she has an opportunity to finally take her road trip Amelia and Lizzie recommends Omar because they want to make sure she is safe. Let’s just say Bri is more than safe no matter how much they try to deny their attraction.
These two had me laughing, kicking my feet, blushing and wishing for a Rachel moment. I cannot wait to see what is next definitely recommend.

Bri received an inheritance from her aunt and she does something for herself, she plans a road trip to Italy!🇮🇹 Her friends help her hire a reliable driver, Omar.
Along the ride you’ll experience the adventure and blossoming romance between Bri and Omar. This was such a cute follow up to the first book and we got to briefly catch up with Amelia, Ben and Smutty! Here’s to old friends and new ones who become more along the journey!
Thank you to the author, Dani Elias, and Happily Booked PR for the opportunity to read to this book. I received an epub for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
What's a girl to do when you're in your forties, divorced, have grown children and you get a nice inheritance? Of course you book yourself a nice trip around continental Europe. But sightseeing is not the only thing on Bridget's list and when her hot as sin driver gives into the chemistry, all bets are off.
Omar is fascinated by Bridget. She is feisty and funny and when he gives in, he discovers that there is more to life and being in a relationship is not that bad.
These two were fun to get to know and follow around. The banter was hilarious, sweet and sizzling moments made this story a nice read in this cold weather.
✨ This story was such a fun ride & a cute long month adventure around Italy! I loved how the whole story was based around Italy! Bri & Omar’s relationship starts out as boss & driver, to friends & finally lovers! Dani’s writing is so fun to read and very well written! If you want a cute, spicy and a full adventure around Italy. Also if you love cats ..This book is for you! Loved it! ✨
Oh this story had me laughing one minute and fanning myself the next . Bri was finally or so she thought content being alone with her cat but with her aunts last wish. She goes on a journey but here’s the thing she doesn’t drive so that’s where Omar comes in. He also just doesn’t believe In love. Mmhhmm going to Italy fixed that. I absolutely loved how everything turned out here include the scorching ending. This was a pleasure to read !
I enjoyed the journey that Bri took. The fact that she went for the road trip and decided to have fun at her age was great. The romance was sweet and the spice was good also I was laughing so hard about the fact that she just trusted the dealer guy that the car was in amazing shape, and it ended up being tolled lol. Great romance read with parts that will definitely make you laugh
This was such a cute read! I believe we all would take a chance in a road trip with memories and spice! If your life is so/so and you have always wanted more……I highly recommend this book!
I had the privilege to read this ARC. This is my second book by this author and it did not disappoint! The story follows Bridget and Omar. She just inherited some money from her aunt and decides to take her dream vacation to Italy. Her kids are grown and out of the house so she figures why not? She hires Omar to be her driver through her European vacation. This book is a love letter to Italy and the neighboring countries. I felt like Dani Elias did a phenomenal job of bringing this vacation to life. Bridget is hilarious and a force to be reckoned with. Their chemistry sizzles and along the way they have such fun adventures! It’s sweet and spicy and full of cute moments. I completely loved reading this book. Now excuse me while I plan my trip to Italy.
This is the second book and this series, and I keep falling in love with this whole series so far like just base off the cover alone you will never expect the spicy scene involved in the books and the characters in this book gosh fallen in love each of them. This story is about two people finding love in the funniest way possible and then you get the cats in the book which I think is kind of cute that both of the books I have read so far, the guys don't like the cats in the beginning of the book but just as they fallen in love with each girl from the books they fallen in love with the cats too. I dislike her ex-husband for a lot for reason and I'm that she finally got someone to love her for you she was and not someone who always did they for another people and did not worry about herself. I can't wait for the next book to come out so I can see what couple get pair up to next.

I LOVED Book 1 in Cat Lady series and I was beyond thrilled to read book 2 and travel across the pond and all through Italy with Bri & Omar!
Not only do I love Dani's writing style, I love that her characters are older (Thank you!! Why is it so hard to write about an older FMC/MMC?) but her characters are raw, vulnerable and relatable in all the best ways. Being with these characters was like slipping into a favourite sweater that's lost all its elastic but has that homey feel and smell and will always be the one I reach for.
Book 2 focuses on Bridget and Omar whom we both met in book 1 - When Omar is mentioned I had a genuine face splitting smile and said "OMAAAAR!!" I was so happy that he got his own story after doing the lords work for Ben and Amelia in book 1 (IYKYK)
Bri is divorced and feeling a little underappreciated by her adult children when she inherits a large sum of money from her aunt Ruth (why don't I have a rich distant relative?!) and she takes the opportunity for a cross countries road trip to focus... but Bri can't drive (which is basically a one bed situation in my mind.. oh and there IS a one bed situation that I LOVED!!) Which is how Omar is introduced and from there, the rest is history!
This book was transportive - I felt as if I was a third passenger in the car the whole time and I said as much to the author as I blew up her inbox with my own travel stories (thank you for your patience and grace Dani!)
The forced proximity in this book goes from car confinement to cutesy B&B with only one bed and its cold outside but baby it's HOT, HOT, HOT inside!
BUT it wouldn't be a cat lady book without a cat, enter the second (or maybe the first) MMC - ZUCCA!!! I've been dreaming of a pumpkin coloured kitty ever since!
These are interconnected standalone books but if you read book 1 you'll enjoy their cameos in book 2 and yes dear reader - there is a third book coming and I cant bloody wait!!
Tropes:
- MC's in their 40's - Work place love - Sassy FMC - One bed - Forced Proximity - British romcom - Dual POV - Banter - Holiday Romance - Road trip through Italy

Bridget (Bri), with titties definitely more saggy at 44, has two grown kids—Christopher, 24, teaching English in Japan, and Ruthie, 22, about to start her Master’s in Engineering at the University of Manchester. She’s spent years focused on her family and just got divorced. Her ex, William, still lives in Hampshire. After being a stay-at-home mom during her marriage, Bri used her divorce money to buy a small cottage near her late Aunt Ruth. Years after her aunt passed, she found out she inherited some money. Ready for something new, and inspired by what her late aunt wrote in her last letter, she booked a trip to Europe where her friends Amelia and Lizzie suggested Omar as her driver. Omar works for Ben and Coop’s company while finishing his degree, though his friends joke he’s not great with commitment. Bri wasn’t really looking for love, and since she doesn’t drive, Omar was perfect to keep her safe. But the chemistry between them? Totally impossible to ignore. Now in her forties, with grown kids and some extra cash, Bri’s ready for adventure. Omar is really into Bridget—she’s lively and funny. When he finally gives in, he sees that being in a relationship can be pretty great. They both discover that life (and love) can surprise you when you least expect it.
This is such a fun, spicy, light-hearted rom-com! Set during a winter road trip, with tropes like driver x customer, forced proximity, British vibes, main characters in their 40s, public fun, a reverse age gap (5 years), a curvy FMC, friends with benefits, a single mom, and the classic one-bed situation. Plus, that “Giovanni ‘What about me?’” scene? I can’t even—it’s hilarious! The trip to Rome, inspired by her late aunt’s letter, took Bri right where she needed to be—straight into the arms of her true love!
A big thanks to Happily Booked PR and Dani Elias for sending me a digital ARC of this book! — #lateARCreview
bookscoffeebrews Book Review: The Unconventional Journey of a CAT LADY (Cat Ladies Rule the World - Book 2) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Author: Dani Elias @dani_elias_books Self Published A big THANK YOU to the author and Happily Booked PR for gifted ARC. @happilybookedpr
What a great read. Love this Cat Lady Series… especially since I am a Cat Lady myself. FMC Bri‘s Aunt passed away and left her a substantial inheritance. Bri decides to plan a month long road trip to Italy. She does not drive well and her friends have talked her into hiring a driver for the trip. MMC Omar is the driver.
Bri is divorced and her children are adults so this is perfect timing for her to take this trip. Plus she has a wonderful cal named Bella.
Omar aks “AWOL” is the commitment phobic driver.
As Bri and Omar start their journey together sparks start a flying. The connection these two have Is a slow burn but worth it in the end. The trip is full of great banter and whit. The adventures these two have together are funny and the eventual spce that occurs is perfect.
The was such a lovely book with these two. The fun adventures they had great. The road trip was fantastic and there was lots of sizzling moments between these two. I loved this book and the ending was great. I also so enjoyed having older adult main characters in this story.
Thank you Dani Elias for another wonderful Cat Lady book. I loved it!
No worries if you haven’t read Book 1—you can dive straight into this one without missing a single paw! And trust me, you want to dive in because this book is as delicious as a plate of pasta in a Tuscan Villa.
Bri is a fabulous single cat mom in her 40s who’s finally ready to chase her dreams now that her kids have moved out. Her bucket list? A European roadtrip complete with sightseeing, indulging in local cuisine, and perhaps a little one night amore with an Italian stallion or two. The only hitch? Bri doesn’t drive. She’s got her paws on the planning and budgeting, but her big adventure is stuck in neutral—until her amazing friends find her a driver.
Enter Omar, aka “AWOL,” the commitment-phobic company driver her best friend’s trust. His track record with relationships? Let’s just say he’s more of a “hit the gas and go” kind of guy. But when Omar and Bri hit the road together, sparks fly faster than their rental car on the Autobahn.
The tension? Sweet and slow-building. The banter? Chef’s kiss. And when that vacation fling proposition finally hits the table? Let’s just say I was kicking my feet and grinning like a fool as these two stopped fighting the inevitable and dove headfirst into romance.
This book is a fast-paced joyride through Europe that doesn’t lose any of its charm along the way. It’s all swoons, no angst, and packed with enough warm fuzzies to rival your favorite feline’s cuddle session.
I can’t wait to see what adventures (and cattitude) are in store for Book 3!
If you love travel vibes, paw-some characters, and a romance that’ll whisker you away, this one’s for you.
“I don’t know what it’s like to put your wishes behind someone else’s, and I admire her for that. I promise myself I’ll make sure this trip is everything she hopes for.”
Another Dani Elias’ book, and another I’ve read in one go. As usual, her stories are compelling, easy to read, and you turn the pages without even realizing it! When Bri inherits a tidy sum of money from a relative, she decides to finally live a little and plan a road trip, destination: Italy! Problem is, Bri doesn’t drive… And… that’s how Omar enters the story. Bri and Omar are super cute, and I absolutely loved that they are both (more or less) in their forties. They have some maturity and know what they want… or at least more or less… Their travel, filled with many (funny) peripeteias, revived some childhood memories, especially when they visited Florence. This book definitely is a winter book, great to warm yourself (pastas are spicy…), and has some holiday vibes, even though it isn’t a holiday romance. But my favorite part was the great representation in the book. Characters aren’t as young as they usually are in romance, but the author really showed how, no matter the age, you can dream, reinvent yourself, live, change your life, change your ideas. Yes, a woman in her forties doesn’t have to be only a housewife, a mum or a workaholic. It needs to be said more, and that book was a great example.
Thank you to Dani Elias and HappilyBookedPR for the ARC. My opinions are my own.
Tropes: -British rom-com -road trip romance -MCs in their 40's -forced proximity -one bed -public play -dual POV -single mom
This little gem of a book is the second one in this series. I listened to the first one on audiobook, and let me just tell you, Dani has a way of making me laugh out loud. This British rom-com is gold. I love that she uses older MCs, which is very different from the norm of most books I read. You can appreciate these books even if you aren’t a cat person. They are so fluffy and light-hearted.
Bri and Omar are both anti-relationship, but after Bri is left with a substantial inheritance from her Aunt, she decides to take a long-wished-for trip. She hires Omar as her driver, and with the forced proximity, sparks start to fly. Not only is Dani great at bringing humor into her stories, but she also can write spicy scenes that will have you fanning yourself.
Both of these books are shorter and incredibly fun to read. I recommend checking them out if you need something fluffy in your life. Thank you so much for allowing me to read these books.
Quotes: One of the first lines in the book: At forty-four my titties are more on the saggy side. I risk blinding myself with a rogue nipple if I bend over without a bra.
I don't know what it's like to put your wishes behind someone else's, and I admire her for that. I promise myself I’ll make sure this trip is everything she hopes for.
At some point during the conversation he dropped his subservient demeanour and now he’s a right-bossy-boots. And I like it. No, I don’t like it, my vajayjay likes it.
First of all Dani Elias , that Spotify playlist 🎶😍 Delve into the covers and you’re met with a funny “At forty-four my titties are more on the saggy side. I risk blinding myself with a rogue nipple if I bend over without a bra” I mean come on who does this? I was hooked reading immediatamente( not a typo it’s Italian look it up) . This is a fantastic read. I devoured it with greed .Cat lady Bridget is lots of fun ,even when she’s not meant to be I was undone with the puns and the funny quips and one liners. The sublimest things that illicit a blush from tips to toes are those I love most. Real good timers. You see Divorcee , Forty plus of age ,grown up kids and with that inheritance she isn’t exactly on the skids. Off she trots on an Unconventional Journey before she’s clapped out and lying on a gurney . She can’t drive so needs to hire someone . This should be fun…. How does this author think of it all? A driver with the name of AWOL , it’s an alias because of his anti commitment thing so funny my sides hurt! He’s hot as sin is Omar ,hope she doesn’t black his eye taking off her bra.Amelia, Ben and Smutty did her a great favour helping hire Omar because Italy with him is an erotic dream plus Italian ice-cream ,the Neapolitan flavour if you know what I mean . Supreme. Sublime ,she has a good time. Good on ya Bri, wish that was me! Superb writing by this great writer . She spins a good yarn and it isn’t a yawn reading . Fantastic storytelling with awesome characters and superb descriptions and well thought out situations.
This was such a cute and fun book!! It’s my first read from Dani Elias and definitely won’t be my last.
I see a lot of myself in Bri - I love travel, I take absolute joy and delight in all the little things associated with it and my partner has told me how much he enjoys seeing me light up, similarly to this book. So this was really sweet for me to read ☺️
This is a romcom, lighthearted, with some open-door scenes sprinkled throughout, nothing crazy but fits the story well. This book is British, as the note at the start explains, and it definitely has that quirky/kinda silly British romcom vibe. If you like that - you’ll like this. I really enjoy it (as an American living in the UK especially); I hope that’s not taken negatively, as it’s not meant to be - but it is just a different style in the romcom genre and I always love it when I come across it 😄
The romance between Bri and a certain main character gentleman is light and sweet, it grows nicely, and it’s just fun to read about the adventures in travel and love.
This is a perfect holiday/vacation read, beach read, Christmas read, cozy Sunday read. Definitely pick this one up for some laughs, sweetness, and a bit of heat! I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
4/5 ⭐️ Thanks to @happilybookedpr and @dani_elias_books for the ARC
I received an advance copy of the book and have left my honest, influence-free review
4.25⭐ 1.5 🌶️ Tropes: Later in life, starting over, roadtrip, he falls first, holiday romance, reverse age gap, friends with benefits, single mom, one bed Dual POV 1st person
Mother and divorcee, Bridget, has been given a large sum of money in her great aunt’s will, with the hope that she will use the money for something fun, like traveling. Bridget has always wanted to take a road trip around Italy but she doesn’t drive! Enter Omar, who we were introduced to in the first book in this series, The Unnatural Habitat of a Cat Lady. Omar, who spent most of his 20s and 30s indulging in wanderlust, just needs to keep his chauffeur job for a few more months until he finishes his degree and is able to find steady employment. Since his bosses aren’t in need of his services much anymore, they offer to pay him to be Bridget’s driver for her Italian road trip. What starts out as a holiday fling, turns into love, but will their feelings last when they make it back to the UK? I’ve now read 3 arcs for Dani Elias, and the first two were novellas. I know that I “complained” that the novellas were too short so I’m so happy to read her full length novels. I also made a point to read the first book in the series before I read this one (which I also recommend!!!)
I very much enjoyed this story- it was well written, so cute and sweet and I cannot overstate how much I love older MCs that aren’t written with a heavy later in life trope. I don’t really remember being a 20 something anymore, so it’s nice to read about characters at a similar place in their life as I am.
Highly recommend and I am excited to read the next book!
The Unconventional Journey of a Cat Lady was such a fun and cute read that you can’t help but smile the whole time you read this book. The imagery and the scenery that the author painted made the book feel like such a comfort style that I felt warm inside while reading.
The characters Omar and Bri had so much chemistry that it was just so cute watching them start to lean towards each other and give in to their wants of each other.
Bri is such a cute character that she kind of reminded me a little bit of me when it came to how she saw the world and how travel is one of her wants in life. Being able to relate to her made me love her so much that I have a fondness for her which is just so cute. I also love her dedication to her cat.
Omar is such a family guy that it was so adorable to see how he was presented with his family and I also love how gentlemanly he was with Bri. He was also such a patient guy with her that you can’t help but love his personality. His dedication to his family and his goals is such a good look on him that I was just like oh my god he is so mmmmmmmm.
I loved the way they acted towards each other after everything was out in the open but I also loved the way they acted even before the confessions. They just had great chemistry that they are basically woven together.
Side note: Omar’s family is so cuteee!
I had so much fun reading this book as I always do!
"There we are two lonely people, who weren't quite so lonely for the last few weeks."
This is book two in the cat ladies rule the world series, and it was just as good as the first book. We get the story of bridget and Omar. We get introduced to these characters in book one, and it's there time to shine. It takes us on an incredible journey.
"Life's too short for dull plans!!" Yes it is! I totally agree!!.
Bre is so ready to let loose and do what shes always wanted to do, travel!! She's divorced , kids are grown, nows the time for adventure. But she don't drive but she really wants to go this, so her friends suggest Omar as her driver, he agrees and she's like 🤷🏽♀️ fuck it. So they head off for a experience of a lifetime. And maybe just made the start to a new romance.
"I'll take her to any sight she wants to see as long as it means I get another opportunity to hang out with her "
It's such a quick read with a crazy journey, new experiences and plenty of fun. The characters are amazing, the storyline was wonderful. It's filled with banter, laughter, romance, spice, memories, exploring and so much more. Once I started I couldn't stop. I was hooked from start to finish. I fell in love with them instantly. Their chemistry and attraction is palatable. I can't see what the next cat lady brings us. Highly recommend!!
"The world could end and I wouldn't care as long as he keeps kissing me like this."
Thanks to her aunt's passing, Bridget is ready to make the road trip of her life for Italy, the only problem is she doesn't drive so she needs to hire a driver.
Her friends recommend Omar, a hot british-lebanese driver who is going to be unemployed so it's the perfect moment because he can make the one month trip still on his current job because they don't need him anymore and it would be the perfect solution because Omar isn't a stranger and they will be secure Bri is safe.
Omar is 5 years younger than Bri but he has been traveling in his youth so now he is a driver while finishing his degree. Bri is divorced with 2 adult kids and a cat who didn't get to travel as much as she liked and now she wants an adventure and a fling with an italian stallion.
At first it's just a job for Omar but because Bri is just Bri, they start to become friends and since the beginning when they spend the night at his family's house in France, their chemistry is real.
Their trip is full of funny moments, real connection, Bri face timing her cat, they enjoying the local music and food, and visiting wonderful places.
Their trip is steamy too because instead of Bri having a fling with an italian stallion, they start a friends with benefits kind of trip.
Guys, this is just pure silly, romantic, sweet good times!
Plot: 5📍 Spice: 2❤️🔥 Overall: 5⭐ Laughter: 3.5 😂
We have our sassy, feisty 44 yr old FMC who's finally able to take that road trip she's always wanted. But let's travel across the Italian Alps in Winter in a used beater who doesn't know for to drive. Nothing can go wrong there!
Throw in a 38 y/o steamy, smart, but slightly damaged MMC, who has been able to travel the world for a decade and is now trying to do that grown up thing. But he's a driver for CEOs for a living and knows most of the places our FMC has on her to-do list.
Did I mention they have immediate tension and chemistry?
Cue the banter, road trip disasters, croissant over consumption, and a little 🐓-blocking by our MMC when our FMC decides she wants to ride an Italian Stallion... 🤣
Just a delightfully fun, spicy read this holiday!
Can't wait to see what our third gal-pal gets up to in book 3, "The Unhinged Battles of a Cat Lady!
Thank you to Happily Booked PR & Ms. Elias for the opportunity to review this book! The series so far has been laugh-out-loud great!
This was such a fun book to read! There are so many laugh out loud moments in this story (and of course some spicy scenes.) I am loving the Cat Lady series - as a self proclaimed cat lady myself, I can’t get enough!
Bridget decides to do something for herself and takes a road trip to Italy! Sure, her driver Omar’s nickname is AWOL but her friends assure her he is trustworthy. He doesn’t not like cats exactly (not everyone is purfect!) but what could possibly go wrong?
I loved Bri and Omar (thank you Dani for writing characters that are a little older!) I absolutely loved their roadtrip adventure! It was so much fun, and really makes me want to go to Italy! We follow them along and I loved how they developed this sweet friendship that becomes something more! Seriously, you can’t help but be in a good mood after reading this story!
While this can be read as a standalone, I do recommend reading the first book as we do catch up with our MCs!
✨What to expect: 🇬🇧British Romantic Comedy ❄️Holiday/Winter Romance 🇮🇹Road Trip Through Italy 🧡Forced Proximity 🔥Public “Schmexy” Time 💋Sassy Curvy FMC 💜MCs in Their 40s 🛏️One Bed 🚙 Driver x Boss 🐈Zucca
This was so fun!! I loved every minute of it!! Bree is such a relatable character, desperate to change something but terrified of the consequences.... When she comes into some money and has the opportunity to travel she takes it, but in a safe way!! She enlists Omar (this is Ben's company driver from book 1) as her driver/ travel companion through Italy. Not only do we get a smoking hot and sweet slow burn of a romance but it's also set in the most romantic country of the world!! From the bustling streets of Rome and to the gorgeous and lush hilltop villages, Dani sets such a brilliant backdrop for this wonderful story!!
Bree is such a brilliant character, I love how she develops confidence through the book and how she struggles with the fact that Omar's nickname is AWOL (commitment phobe). They have such wonderful banter, tension and omg the SWOONS I did!!
Not only did I kick my feet and squeal at the romance, I also cried and laughed alongside Bree as she inevitably develops feelings for Omar.
Overall this is a sweet, fast paced and beautiful story that I highly recommend if you love a good romance!!
This is Book 2 of Cat Ladies Rule The World Series and once again, this is a belter!
This time we follow Bridget and Omar who meet after Bri decides to go on a trip around Italy anf needs a driver!
Once again, Dani has written a brilliant story and I love how these characters are late-30s and early-40s which I find find highly relateable.
Bri is brilliant. Cat mad, determined, smart and has two grown-up children having given her annoying husband the boot.
She is the first of our 'love hermits'.
Omar... oh I adore Omar! He is incredibly determined, smart and just an all-round decent guy. I loved how he travelled, spoke all these languages then came home and got his degree!
He is the second of our 'love hermits'
And thirdly, beautiful Bella the cat!
This was a brilliant overall story and I adored reading their antics leading up to the trip and all throughout the story. We have highs and lows and an abundance of laughs!
Our trip through Italy was amazing and incredibly vivid with descriptions of being on the move and also all the fabulous places they visit.
This is a heart-warming romcom that I highly recommend to all romcom lovers!
Okay, can we talk about the fact that Smutty steals the show again. He only has a tiny scene but when he ambushed Bella I had to laugh out loud. Probably also had something to do with how Omar told the story.
I loved this book. Bri is so funny and strong and I love how she let's Omar see her vulnerable side.
Being a witness to how they slowly fall in love which each other is amazing. There are so many small scenes that are funny but also heartwarming. Like the chat after the football game. I love that scene. Or in Florence at that square I can't pronounce.
The spice is amazing. I love that in Dani Elias books the spice always has a purpose to show how they grow closer. Also, hats off to Bri for being rather bold 🤫
I also love that we get a taste of Italy (and a bit of France and Austria) without it feeling like a guidebook.
And I love that it is set in winter. It's not your stereotypical Italy holiday.
This is a laugh out loud, feel good, heartwarming and spicy romcom I didn't know I needed but will definitely read again and again.
This is the first book I’ve read by Dani Elias but it won’t be the last. This book is so full of fun and joy and the spice really do be spicing. Bri is a vivacious woman who embarks on a trip of a lifetime to Italy. A self proclaimed disbeliever in love she sets out on an adventure and has the chance to change not only her mind but the mind of her handsome and sweet trip companion Omar.
This book will have you falling in love with the characters as they make their way through Italy and find themselves and also each other.
Everything between B and O was perfect, except maybe the miscommunication. There was no miscommunication in the bedroom though 🥵 that was pure decadence every single time!
The growth of the characters was so fun to be a part of, I just genuinely can’t say enough good things about this book. I finished it in a single day because I simply could not put it down. If you’re looking for romance that has kick your feet and blush and squeal kind of love, look no further.
The Unconventional Journey of a Cat Lady is the second romance in the Cat Ladies Rule the World series. Bridget’s life has been in its full routine for a while now and it’s time to mix it up. When she receives an unexpected inheritance from her aunt Bri decides it’s time to put herself first and books a month long trip through Italy. It’s time for her to let loose and have fun and maybe find a hot Italian man to satisfy her, but her trip might not go exactly as planned especially with her easy on the eyes driver in the mix.
I knew this book was bound to be a a funny romance with a side of spice, just like the first book in the series and it was. I knew how this book was going to play out from the beginning, but that was part of the appeal. I loved Bri and Omar together and thought they were funny, sweet and filled with chemistry. This pairing really drove the story and made for a great romance read that had a smile on my face more than not. This book is full of feels and most of the time that was good, but there were also a few sad moments that really pulled at my heart. The amount of spice in this book was the perfect compliment to the humor of this story. If you are looking for an enjoyable romance read set on an Italian road trip this book will have you captured from the beginning.
I adored this book, it hit on all the right notes. Bridget, Bri, is a divorced cat lady who decides to take an adventure and road trip from England to Italy - only issue, she doesn't drive. This is where Omar enters the picture. Omar knows he needs a job to carrying him through finalizing his degree and this job feels too good to pass up. From day one, their chemistry was great, I loved how it felt like insta-lust but it was laced with humor and denying their attraction to each other. This entire book struck a balance between humor, lots of steam, and the courage to take chance on love. Plus I loved the role that cats played in this book! It was refreshing to see "crazy cat lady" behavior just be there and not be seen as a joke. While Omar may not understand Bri's love at cats at first, Bri is unapologetic about her love of cats and doesn't shy a way from doing what she wants. This book is the second installment in the Cat Ladies Rule the World series but can be read as a standalone. Characters from previous books have cameos, so it is nice to see those characters reappear.
