Operation Al Fajr (Operation Phantom Fury) was the largest urban combat operation in the U.S. Marine Corps since Hue, Vietnam in 1968. As the battalion liaison officer, 1st Lieutenant Jones led both the Iraqi Special Forces and the Iraqi Intervention Force during the battle for Fallujah.
