In The Lost Letters of Christmas: A heartwarming and mysterious adventure about friendship, hope and believing in the magic of the season!, Sadie moves to a new town just as the Christmas season is starting. Her new home is creaky and old and she finds a bundle of letters under a floor board in her room. Just in time, too, because she was feeling really sad about the lack of Christmas cheer in her home, at school, and in her new town of Bramblewood. The letters, written to Father Christmas 25 years before, inspire her to write to Father Christmas for help finding the letter-writer, Evelyn, and bringing Christmas spirit back to Bramblewood. The next morning, Noel the Elf arrives to help. And so the adventure begins. Noel and Sadie set out on a quest to find out who Evelyn is and to organize a town fair for Christmas. This is a very quick read and things are quite predictable, but that is as it should be for a Christmas spirit story. Sadie learns some lessons about love, friendship, and the magic of the season; and she helps those around her learn those lessons as well as forgiveness, acceptance, and love. My edition (printed 11/1/2025) includes an excerpt from the next book in the series, The Lost Memories of Christmas: From the Author of ‘The Lost Letters of Christmas’, This Magical Series Continues. Perfect for a read-aloud by the fire.

A lovely and heartwarming book - read with my daughter and we both enjoyed feeling Christmassy - we shed a little tear too. Recommend for 8/9 year olds as a read aloud for the run up to the big day!
