Can this cottage witch break a vampire's curse - or will he break her heart?
Libby never planned on being a cottage witch; brewing potions for minor neighbour ailments and judging the local baking contest, but she's happy here. If she never goes anywhere or does anything exciting, like she'd once dreamed of, then at least she's helping people. Then a vampire with actual dimples shows up on her doorstep, and changes everything.
Venn was cursed centuries ago; unable to feed and with his powers growing constantly weaker, if he can't finally find a cure he's resolved to end it all. Libby is not at all what he expects from a powerful witch - but she's his last hope. Now, she insists on him going with her to Egypt to find answers - you know that place with all the vampire-frying sun - travelling on a ridiculous stick of wood with no seatbelts, to find some vampire-hating magic descendants. What could possibly go wrong?
Libby soon realises Venn is nothing like the horror stories she's heard, but if they do manage to break the curse, will he become just another bloodsucker? Venn find himself more and more drawn to the strange little witch, but now he's putting Libby in danger, and his enemies are catching up with them.
Can they work together to break the curse, and what will it cost them?
Curses & Cauldrons is a cozy paranormal romance, but with some added spice. If you like sassy heroines, smoking hot heroes, and adventures on a travel broom then you'll love this rom-com style novel.

After reading the first two in her Highland Wolves series, I was very ready to accept a free copy of something a little different.
This book was SO GOOD! There were ups and downs. I laughed, and I almost cried. The concept of a vegan vampire is HILARIOUS to me! He was so sweet, compassionate, and caring… The things that he did for her just to make her smile and see her happy for a moment? Swoon! I got so scared at one point, and I had to remind myself that it is supposed to be a happily ever after, so nobody will die. I hate being so afraid for the main characters like that!
If you want a good read, with a different take on things, give this one a shot. I know that I wasn't disappointed!
It’s been a while since I have red about a vampire hero and a witch. Despite being a short novel this has felt that I have been reading for a very long time. Somehow in few chapters the characters feel more familiar and their relationship grows with it, and really easily as well. It’s absolutely cute and adorable story with a growly hero and bookish, quirky heroine. Love the combo! The story was rather fluent, but the ending was maybe a little rushed and quite few out of blue things happens, like no chance anyone could guess any of it, but still, it’s quite lovely story I think. Can’t go wrong with a growly, selfless vampire with romantic inclination even if it’s not obvious.

This was a pretty cute novella. Honestly a lot happened within a relatively short amount of pages. In all honesty, so much was packed into this novella that it ended up feeling a little bit rushed, especially when it came to the relationships between the characters. I did like the characters, and we got a teeny bit of backstory for them, but mostly as things were happening, and because of the length, things were said is passing almost, when I would have liked to have read/learned more. I think that if this novella had been expanded into a 300-400 page book, it would have been an even better reading experience.
Ben and Libby’s story takes you from the English coast to the Oyramids of Egypt and back again ! She’s a witch who downplays her strengths and he’s a vampire with a curse, no one else has been able to break ! This story has it all ! Beings on separate sides of magic, curses, meddling family’s on both sides and lots of heat . I wasn’t sure how this was going to play out , but the author finessed the outcome beautifully and I can’t wait to read more books by her. 5✨’s I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I really loved this novella. It was such a fun read and I quickly fell in love with the protagonists, Libby and Venn. Despite their obvious differences, I knew they were made for each other!!! I also enjoyed the side characters. The star fish was the best and also the witch family was pretty feisty. The story has an overall really nice cozy vide to it and that was really great on a misty autumn day. Can't wait to read other books from the author.
What a wonderful story! A little bit of action and some romance. A struggling soft hearted witch and a vampire cursed unable to drink blood and without any powers. Their journey to find the answer to his curse was enjoyable and fun. Lots of twists and turns. Would love to read what happened to Rishka. I will be reading more of her books. Definitely recommend!
This is the first book I've read from the author and it didn't disappoint. It was a very cute story about a witch and a vampire who at the start didn't seem to really have a future but ended so perfectly together! The way the story and the characters were developed was really good and I had a blast reading it and getting to know them! Perfect for a quick read and happy vibes!
Super sweet book, it took a little while for me to get into it and really understand what was happening. I felt like it was really fast paced, especially towards the end. Overall I enjoyed this book lots & would read more with these characters. I’m always wanting more from characters, especially those who end as these two did.

This was a super cute, easy read. It's a sweet romance between a witch and a vampire, with a happy ending. If you want something sweet and light-hearted to read with a little paranormal, this would be the perfect read! Definitely recommend this! I did receive this as an ARC from Booksirens, but these thoughts and opinions are my own.
Curses and Caldrons is the first book by new to me author Shelli Rosewarne and it didn't disappoint. This is a cute story about Libby a witch and Venn a vampire meet and learn about one another and not the stereotypes they expected. It's a fun, lighthearted read and I recommend it and look forward to more.

Libby and Venn´s story is quite unusual for this genre but so cute, I fell in love just reading the blurb and the book kept me entertained from the first until the last page, thank you Shelli for such a wonderful escape from reality.
ARC review 3.5 ⭐️ This is a cute, quick read about Libby and Venn. She's a self-proclaimed nerdy, bookish witch, and he's a grumpy vampire cinnamon roll in need of her help. They set out on an adventure to do just that. This story is well written, funny, and has a few unexpected twists and turns. I just wish it didn't end so quickly. I want more of Libby and Venn's story.
This book was a cute and quick treat to read. I enjoyed the characters, the banter, and chemistry. Libby was fun and quirky, and Venn was just the right amount of grumpy. IMO, some parts felt a bit rushed, but overall, it was an enjoyable read. Definitely recommend!

A witch allergic to nearly everything (including magic), a starfish familiar from another realm, a vampire cursed to be vegan, vegetarian cooking classes for werewolves…all combine together to make a very fast paced cozy paranormal romance/mystery.
