FROM EXCITING AUTHORS OF YA FANTASY ROMANCE BRITT COOPER AND ERIN DULIN

Book four in the Chronicles of Fayble series

Why bow to the beasts who dwell in darkness when beauty blooms in light?

A beastly battle brews in the kingdom of Calaise, where the fates of two lookalike heirs intertwine with a pixie beauty who is half wicked and much like her father.

Prince Ffion’s return to his country is more than he bargained for when he’s joined in his journey by the cursed offspring of his nemesis. Bellamy shares his purpose, with each seeking the ancient pixie Marin’s demise even as their collective attributes have them bringing out the worst in one another.

Despite their differences, the pair continue their pursuit, only for an unexpected run-in with Ffion’s twin to have him rethinking everything. Learning that he’s been displaced by his brother Gierson, Ffion knows the future of Calaise may not be the only thing at stake, for when Bellamy is introduced, any goodwill remaining between the brothers disappears.

But the unlikely allies will contend with more than bitter jealousy as otherworldly creatures emerge, thriving amongst the newly blooming winter roses. Soon, there will be no escape from their chaos, trapped within a beautiful, deadly cage.

A monster will rise from his ruinous lot, fighting alongside the exquisite manifestation of his torment, and she is every bit the scourge that he is. Now, he need only resist slaying her first.

Such a must read!!

“Did you think you could surround me with books, and I would forget that I want you dead?”

If that line doesn’t convince you to read this enemies-to-lovers beauty and the beast retelling, maybe my review will.

These authors consistently write vivid romantasy in the forms of the coolest twists and turns from classic fairytales.

Bellamy is a half pixie, but wholly her own. Meanwhile Ffion has a beast inside him and a kingdom to rule.

We have court politics, a villain that brings these two together despite their misgivings, and all the romantasy magic you could want!

The writing was so well done, as always— I felt like I was there with Bellamy and Ffion as they fall for each other while battling clever, deadly opponents.

My favorite thing was how Bellamy felt safe with, well, a beast of a man. (And I mean that in a super fun and also literal way.)

As always, our heroine could hold our own. Ffion fell so hard for her, earning his absolute respect. All the green flags from these two, from their care for each other to their communication!

We see familiar faces from other books, battle creatures whose blood glitters, and it’s all written beautifully.

This is fourth in the excellent Chronicles of Fayble series, but also a whole stand-alone romantasy on its own.

I highly recommend - these are my favorite retellings, ever. Lots of magic, and a hint of Bridgerton vibes.

It’s difficult to choose, but Rose of Ruin might be my favorite out of the Fayble series. I really enjoyed the nod to Beauty and the Beast, and the Fae-like pixie villain. The winter roses were such a creative element of the plot. I loved experiencing the completion of Ffion and Bellamy’s stories, especially after getting to know them in the previous books.
Like in the other books in the Fayble series, I appreciate the meaningful connection the characters form, the comforting fairy tale vibes, the dress and ball scenes, and of course the HEA. 🥰 Thank you to the authors for the ARC and for writing such a delightful series!
