Rate this book
My shattered memories are just out of reach. I know the answers, yet I have forgotten the question. My mind is a canvas that I never asked to be cleared. I wake from a coma to find that not only am I married, but I have no idea who I am. My memory is consumed by a shadow that ravages my soul, taking control of my mind. I can’t find the light, so I find comfort in the dark. When the pieces begin to shift and my past begins to emerge, my life is in danger. I was never supposed to return. I was never supposed to survive. Will my shadow return to me, or will I find the light?

Initially, I was drawn to this story solely based on the cover. It is absolutely gorgeous. But ultimately, the synopsis definitely seeled the deal. The amnesia trope is a guilty pleasure of mine, so I knew I would need to check this out.

I really liked this story, including the characters, the mystery, and the smut. The only thing that lowered my personal rating was how quickly things moved and how easily our FMC accepted things were the truth or just went with the relations. This was just a little too far-fetched for me to look past.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I only read this book because it was free on the Kindle store as part of a Stuff Your Kindle Day and this is one of those books that you shouldn’t be able to count towards your reading goal. I can’t believe I spent my time reading this, even if it was a quick read. I just had so many issues with this book.

I firstly disliked the characterisation of the protagonist. Even considering she was an amnesia patient, she was far too naïve and trusting. It didn’t feel realistic at all. I wasn’t after realism so I can let it slide somewhat but I don’t feel like the amnesia trope was used well enough to even build any angst or tension. The same issues with characterisation can be said for the other characters who, in my opinion, were introduced too quickly and were barely developed which resulted in the cliche ‘chosen family’ ending falling flat for me as I didn’t connect with them. It felt as though character backstories were just info dumped onto the reader and I found the dynamics between characters not believable and consequently, I just didn’t care about them or their relationships with Audrey. Honestly, whatever plot there was hidden within the obscene amount of sex scenes and clichés didn’t keep me engaged and it made me feel like the traumatic subject matter in this book was handled poorly. As a result, there was no catharsis from the reveal of her abuser at the end for me.

This leads me onto the disjointed nature of the dialogue. The conversations between the characters felt very unnatural and there were many parts where the conversation didn’t flow properly. This was mostly apparent when Audrey is bluntly informed of the brutality she experienced and the conversation simply resumes which made the whole thing feel redundant. A similar pattern happens with all the characters where I felt they didn’t react appropriately to each other’s dialogue.

I’ve not even touched on the typos in this. There are instances where the dialogue is not contained within speech marks. There’s missing punctuation and there’s words missing from sentences to the point where I felt like I was having a stroke. Was there not even an attempt at proofreading?

I want my time back. 😭

Another ARC for this amazing author. SHE HAS DONE IT AGAIN. THIS BOOK BROKE MY HEART! | FOUND HER TO BE VERY STRONG TO FIND HER WAY BACK! READING IT I FELT HER FRUSTRATION WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO REMEMBER. BUT AT THE SAME TIME I SAW HER DRIVE AND FIGHT TO DO IT. THE FACT THAT OUR FMC SAVED OUR MMC FOR WHAT HE WAS ABOUT TO DO AND HIM STICKING BY HER SIDE NO MATTER WHAT JUST SHOWS THAT YOU CAN FIND LOVE IN THE DARKNESS. OR SEE THE LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS!
EVERYONE RELATED TO OUR FMC GOT WHAT THEY
DESERVED AND AT THE END OF THE BOOK SHE FOUND A FAMILY THAT WOULD LOVE HER AND STAND BY HER SIDE
NO MATTER WHAT! EMILY KLEPP WROTE THIS SO BEAUTIFULLY IT LITERALLY HAD ME IN TEARS BY THE END OF THE BOOK!

1.5 This was bad. The concept and the storyline was okay(i could almost say good), but the writing was horrible. It was basically a whole bunch of conversations one after the other. The conversations didn’t even feel natural. It felt like it was written by a 12 year old.
The idea could have been really good but the whole thing felt unreal and almost impossible. She wakes from a coma and wants to f*ck the first two guys she sees? She falls in love with 3 guys in a month? And then she does the detective that was on her case, with his wife, her best friend and the 3 man she loves?!?! It felt rushed and way too casual for a girl with amnesia.
On top of that, it was way to obvious who tried to kill her. I guessed it the moment the character appeared.

Anyway, one more book added to my list, but i DO NOT recommend this (the smut wasn’t even good).

Read the trigger warnings ⚠️

This has all the feels, what Audrey went through no woman deserves that but the love she found on her road to recovery was nothing short of a miracle, they embrace her, keep her safe and help her. There is SA, spice, polyamorous relationships, secrets and lies.

It’s a powerful story, and I ate it up. Though there were some errors they didn’t detract from the story, I did predict the who though 🥸

I have no words. Forget me not is absolutely perfect in every way!! It's short, but packa the emotional gut punch that this author is known for. It's so beautifully devastating. The loss of Audrey's memories and her fear of remembering. Yet her incredible strength and resilience in the face of insurmountable pain and loss shows how amazing of a character she is. She didn't allow it to stop her from moving on with her life. When she crumbled, she had her support system. They never left her. Audrey trusted them and herself. Her instincts were spot on. Though she blamed herself and was angry with herself, she worked through it. I also have to mention Nikolai's struggles as well. Hardly any author will touch on men's mental health and men committing suicide. She not only touched on it, but described how hopeless and alone Nikolai felt. He didn't think there was a way out for him. One moment changed everything. This book showed how quickly our circumstances can change both for the better and sometimes the worse. You never know, so keep going. Beautiful book. Absolutely perfect 🩷💙

Okay, this was extremely bad. Never judge a book solely by its cover.

I downloaded this book on Kindle because it was free and I liked the cover. I deliberately didn’t read anything about it beforehand because I wanted to form my own opinion. What I didn’t expect was to end up with a very weird p*rn story that is extremely poorly written and has absolutely no interesting plot.

Don’t get me wrong—I enjoy good smut when it’s done well. But this felt like the wet dream of a teenage girl disguised as a polyamorous romance–mystery. The characters are incredibly flat, the dialogue is painfully cringey, and the main character is clearly a self-insert fantasy of the author’s “ideal life.” Four men involved at once while her best friend watches… like, what?

What bothered me the most is how the book handles sexual assault. This is a sensitive and serious topic, and portraying it in this way felt completely inappropriate and deeply disrespectful toward victims. It didn’t add anything meaningful to the story and seemed to exist only to partially sexualise the situation—which I absolutely despise.

So please do yourself a favor and choose another book…

**** This was an ARC that I received for an honest opinion***

" You like being watched, don't you?"

If you are looking for a polyamorous book that where there is a good amount spice and a mystery on side, this book is for you. Coming in less than 250 pages, this book definitely kept you intrigued until the very end.

The book starts off with the FMC, Audrey, in a very violent situation which causes her to lose her memory. The reader is then introduced to Niko who so happens to be in the area and calls the ambulance. Four months later, Audrey wakes up with no memory of who she is, what happened and her past. As the readers are introduced to who Audrey is and the people in her life, we are provided piece by piece to the mystery of who tried to take out Audrey.

While I am a fan of Ms. Klepp work, I would say that this wasn't my favorite. Now it could be the mood I was in but I felt it was missing somethingt lol. I enjoyed the mystery element and even the polyamorous relationship except for one of them. I felt that maybe it didn't jell as well as it should have. As a a person who truly understands the term free use, I think I wanted more of them pleasuring her via oral. That just might be me lol. I loved the friendship between the FMCs. I also enjoyed how Niko and Audrey came to terms with their own past traumas. Please check the author's website for TW before proceeding as this does contain very sensitive topics. I thank Ms Klepp for her hard work and dedication for creating this body of work.

I want to start by saying that out of all the Emily books I have read so far and honestly it’s not that many this is my favourite.

Audrey, Niko and Brady could have just stayed as a threesome. But adding Katie in and then Sean worked once I got to know the relationship between Audrey and them.

Like Audrey I didn’t trust her family. Especially the brother in law Victor and I drew my own conclusions when Mallory gave her the tour. I can’t actually believe how involved they all were with what happened to her.

I loved Niko especially when we find out his real reason for being in the park that night. It broke my heart reading the message he sent to Brady.

The plot is heavy so I do highly recommend checking triggers.

I love Emily's stories because they always feel so real. They suck you right in from the very beginning, and you can't help but want to finish it in one sitting.
Emily gives us so much love in this story. This may start off as your conventional MF relationship, but girl it definitely doesn't end that way! I love me a good Poly romance. There is always so much love for everyone from everyone.

This is for those who enjoy their books full of trauma/trauma healing, polyamorous relationships, enemies to lovers, a splash of daddy kink😉
Please read the triggers on Emily's website before diving into this🤍

“Forget me not in your moments of doubt or in times of loss. Forget me not in moments of weakness or in times of strength. Together, we will rise above the darkness and shine through, lighting the way for the lost. Forget me not, for I am free.”

YOU'RE MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!! Check your trigger warnings and read them here. They include: sexual assault, attempted murder, murder victim POV, NOT MC) amnesia, gas lighting, manipulation, hyper-sexuality after trauma, partner sharing, suicide by cop, suicidal thoughts

Some of the fantastic tropes are: amnesia, enemies to lovers, second chances, fake marriage, touch her and die, caretaker dom, Strong FMC, trauma healing, trigger heavy, polyamory, reverse harem, orgy, exhibition, voyeurism, forced orgasm, orgasm denial, free use, hyper-sexuality after trauma, partner sharing, cuckold, degradation, praise, somnophilia, breath play.

Obviously, there is a lot in this book, and it is not to be taken lightly, but... in the end, it will all be worth it if you can handle those trigger warnings.

Emily Klepp has given us so much in this book. It starts off as a normal MF relationship. It goes so off the rails from that, though. And I love it, I am all over a good polyam or reverse harem books. There is just so much more for everyone in these books. It's just aahhh, so much more.

If you like a great story that's full of its own trauma but is healing at the same time and gives you a bunch of kinks, both old and new, for the characters. Then you add in a reverse harem/polyam relationship with one enemy to lovers marriage and a dark daddy kink, that is Forget Me Not. And for a book that has so much going on, ohh, does it flow perfectly.

Audrey broke my heart, and then her strength put it back together again in fighting to find herself again. I felt her frustration. I saw her drive to fight and do it herself. And she saved one of our MMCs when he was about to un-alive himself when she was hardly alive herself.

Niko he was such a sweet character who proved just what love can do. He stayed by our FMCs' side rather than abandoning her to go an un-alive himself. With Audrey's help, he found his way out of the deep darkness.

The side characters like Brady (Niko's best friend), Katie (Audrey's best friend), Avery (police officer), and Katherine (Avery's wife) are amazing. And they are so amazing for and to Audrey. They help her so much.

The villains in this book are ones that you will never guess. I was shocked when I even thought of it, and then when I realized just who it was, I was sick. I never realized someone could do that. The villains in this book are perfectly written, and they are just perfect.

I absolutely loved that Audrey and Niko got the full family they deserved in the end, and they got to choose that family together. And that family would love and choose them in return no matter what. And Audrey knew that Niko would be by her side no matter what, just like she would always be by his side.

I have to say that Emily Klepp did a perfect job in writing this book, and it was just beautiful and touching. There were several times through this book that I was in tears, and in those moments, tears were needed.

Love and loss and friendships and heartbreak and second chances . Forget Me Not is one of the most beautiful and emotional love stories I’ve read in such a long time . And in my honest opinion there really are no words that could possibly do it enough justice . You simply need to pick it up and experience all its perfection for yourself. It’s been quite some time since I’ve picked up a book where both the heroine and hero touched my heart quite the way Audrey and Nikolai did . For Audrey it’s her daily struggle with the loss of her memory not only that though, she also very much fears remembering, afraid of what she might find out about herself. What I absolutely loved about her though was her strength and her resilience, how she refused to let anything stand in the way of living her life to the fullest . And Nikolai . Omg how my heart broke for him . The way he struggled with his metal health , the feeling of being lost and alone . One moment brings these two together and changes absolutely everything. I really do feel like I was just taken on the ride or my life and completely blown away in all the best ways possible

This Author has truly won my heart with her world of dark, emotionally charged and at times, taboo and or morally conflicting romances. But when you learn of her own personal experiences and journey through life you will not only learn a thing or two but understand how dark people's lives are. So in saying that, my first recommendation is that one needs to check with the trigger listing before venturing into this well created story. Her characters are simply so well created and developed that you will definitely connect with them on so many levels, simply hoping for them to not only find their HEA but to find their inner sense of strength, resiliency and yes, revenge.
A well created plot nicely balanced with action, dramas, betrayals, devotion, love, resiliency and emotion. For me it was a book that captured my interest from the beginning and kept my sense of curiosity throughout but understand that it also has this highly emotionally charged element to it, that seems to keep you riveted from beginning to the end.

Definitely read the TWs before reading this book! Where to begin… this cover is gorgeous and different from other books by Emily and it drew me in. I could not put the book down, and read it in a single sitting. As Audrey’s memories began to come back, I was pulled further into her story and needed to know more of her past and what had happened. I did have an idea of who had attached Audrey and I wasn’t wrong, but I like that it wasn’t revealed until the very end. I loved the art gallery scene at the end - each of the important people in Audrey’s life seeing what they mean to her and how they helped her survive and recover and heal. Niko was my favorite person. We know some of his past and a bit of his own trauma and his healing journey, so he had the most growth. And even after the past he shared with Audrey he stuck with her from the moment he found her, being her protector. He didn’t expect anything in return, he just wanted her to be okay. This might be my favorite book from Emily.

5⭐️ // 5🌶

This book was an emotional rollercoaster that left me utterly devastated, but in a good way. Audrey's heartbreaking journey, as she struggles to piece together her shattered past, is intense and made me emotional on multiple occasions.

I love the way Emily writes her characters to have the multiple dimensions. It's not all intense intimate connections, but there is also the depth of the trust bond and romance.
The romance between the characters is intense and the intimate scenes add depth to their connection. It was fascinating to watch how Audrey formed the indepth bonds with those who supported her recovery and created her own found family of genuine support.

The ending was incredibly satisfying, as Audrey finds her stength and finally breaks free from her oppressors and gets to build the future she deserves and desires with her partners.

I received this book as an ARC.

I received an ARC from the author in return for an honest review.

I wasn’t prepared for just how much trauma these characters would have to endure throughout this story. Truly heartbreaking. This is an amazing story on found family helping the FMC to recover her memories lost in a pretty brutal attempt on her life. The mixture of found family and polyamory kind of caught me off guard, and as much as I love some group action, I think the “couples” aspect of it just isn’t for me. This discovery did NOT affect my star rating. It was actually sort of refreshing to find my “ick” through a really thrilling approach to it. This was a super quick read without sacrificing the plot. I look forward to reading more from this author!

"For those that turned their scars into stories and chose change over fear."

This book is a standalone dark romance, and is heavy with triggers. The trigger warning list is as follows: SA, attempted murd, amnesia, gaslighting, manipulating, hyper spice drive after trauma, partner sharing, cuckold, and smooicide by cop. This book also ends with an unexpected ending.

This book has multiple point of views: Audrey, Mallory, and Nikoli. Audrey wakes up in the hospital with amnesia, and is married to Nikoli. She is an artist up in New York, but went to her hometown to see some people. Mallory is Audrey's sister and is a complete and total female dog. Nikoli struggles with his own demons, and is married to Audrey.

I give this book 5 stars because I would read this book again, and has an amazing plot. The character development was quick, but at same time the book was fast paced.

(Not the spiciest, but the spicy scenes are spicin!!

◇ why choose
◇ M/F/M
◇ found family
◇ second chance
◇ fmc has amnesia
◇ trauma, lots!
◇ Pierced peen
◇ v0yeurism

This book here!! I've never read where any characters are trying to come back from amnesia, so this is a first, but was I disappointed..NOT AT ALL! Like the normal Emily way, she has the trauma, your mental health matters, and the HEA. This story is like none I have ever read before. This one sucked you in, and you through the whole book believed it to be real, and I guess in someone's perspective out there, it might be.
I love the characters. Each one played an important role in pushing Aubrey to her healing. The love and support was absolutely amazing. And that Pierced peen at the end was 🥵.
Yall don't roll over on this book! Pick it up and read or add it to your mile high tbr

Ok, so I read this right after Under Their Watch and D.A.M.N!! This book was also a no holds barred, in your face DARK romance but devilishly dazzling!

After reading The Protector Duet, I already knew I loved this group polyamory vibe, so that was already a win for this book! But the story, it was so raw and emotional! So much loss and trauma for Audrey. And the journey to find herself again, was just perfection!

This is a trigger heavy book, but Emily does a great job of expressing that in the beginning of the book, so if you are triggered, then you did not read the warnings…they were there! But please make sure you, read them if you need them! With that being said, I cannot recommend this book enough. Spice, love, trauma, heartbreak, healing, second chances, found family and more. Absolutely astounding! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Enjoyed this one a lot!

This novel was wrote rather well. I’ve never read a book like this one! There were definitely surprises after surprises! First your introduction to Audrey (MFC) was difficult. I was a little confused at first until the story continued. The introduction to Niko was good. Than the introduction to the other characters was a surprise! I enjoyed that there were people from her past introduced. Those characters spread light on other things I was confused about. It was fast paced which are the kind of books I enjoy. The ending was something a little predictable , but still a bit of a surprise. Especially if you look at the statistics of what had happened to Audrey. Also you learn about Nikos struggle and how he ended up at the right place at the right time. Bottom line I rather liked the story!

PS- if you like spicy poly books you will enjoy this!

I received an ARC copy of this book and I don’t even know where to start bc my brain is still on “wow”…so let me start by saying I am still all hot and bothered by that epilogue days later!!

Audrey’s story is intense and heartbreaking, but so very beautiful as we watch her put not only her pieces back together, but uncover the mystery of who hurt her. I loved how the author weaved Nikolai’s struggles with Audrey’s and created this beautiful story of two people saving one another and finding happiness, despite the deep pains they were both faced with mentally and physically.

This book brought a storyline of substance, emotions, and lots of spice. As the author mentions this is a trigger heavy book so please heed her warnings as she wants to protect her readers.
