This was not what I expected. I thought based on the title that this we be information about the Princesses and other characters in their stories. What is was was a storybook, each of the Princesses tales.
There were character pictures on each page, and each had a little bubble next to it with three characteristics. Things like dreams and skills. This was really the only aspect that made this a character guide.
In addition in some of the pictures things about the characters were labeled, but they were really nonsensical and didn't lend any information about the character. For example the picture of Belle identified she was holding a rose wearing a gold gown. Things you can easily see, it's just silly and not useful in terms of a guide.
Beautiful illustrations, and fun stories but not what I expected.
This is such a gorgeous book! It was a really nice synopsis of each movie. The only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars is that the character choices were sometimes nonsensical. Why is Ariel featured as a character four times?! Twice I get, once as a mermaid and once as a human. But four makes no sense; characters like Carlotta and her sisters are left out instead. And that’s just one example.
