The wildfire isn’t the only thing burning out of control…

I thought sneaking past the barricades to track my rogue sister in the wilderness was my biggest challenge. But then the forest fire exploded across northern British Columbia, cutting off my way back and leaving me stranded in dangerous territory. Now, I’ve got two missions—find my sister and survive the fire.

I have no choice but to stay with a group of wildland firefighters. Getting close to humans near a blood moon is dangerous enough, but hiding out with Carter, a seasoned firefighter with sharp instincts, is reckless. There’s a spark between us that feels more than human, and every moment with him makes it harder to remember why I should keep my distance.

But the rules are clear—shifters don’t bond with humans. And we never take them as mates.

The problem is, Carter isn’t just any human. My wolf is convinced we're fated.

But Carter has no idea what I am, and the more time we spend together, the harder it gets to keep it a secret. When news hits of a wolf attack, our kind has to be even more careful about flying under the radar.

To make things worse, when I find my sister, I discover she isn’t just rogue—she’s tangled up with a group that is steeped in conspiracy, with ties to dark magic and forbidden relics that could unravel the balance between shifters and humans.

I need to deprogram my sister and get out of here. But the bond between me and Carter isn’t one I can easily ignore, and every second we stay together only pulls me further into the fire…

Mia and Connor's story was a good read.

Mia needs to find her sister while a devastating fire engulfs the mountain towns and homes in her area. Her sister, Erin, has been a rogue wolf for a while now and the connection they once shared has gone dormant.
Connor is the fire chief and in charge of containing and putting this fire out. It's not acting like a normal fire and he's losing control of it. He's only human but he has to do what he can for the people on the mountain.

Mia enlists Liam, her best friend, to help her find her sister while this fire rages. They find extra fire gear and hop a ride on a fire truck to get closer to the fire faster. They end up near to where Connor has his command center. That is where Mia realizes she's babysat for Connor's daughter 10 years prior, so she hopes he'll help. He doesn't. The fire gets more out of control and the command center moves further down the mountain, more into shifter territory. Connor feels his attraction to Mia but is more interested in finding out what Mia is hiding, thinking she has information to help him get this fire under control. What happens is, due to his connection to Mia, Connor is brought to a place he knows nothing about. It's way more than he bargained for.

The first 40% was centered around the fire and I just wanted to move the scene on. Here we got the background for Mia and Connor. I think the hint that it was maybe more than a normal fire would have been better sooner (but wasn't all that bad). After is when it gets even more exciting, so if you get bored--stick it out!! Though not as dramatic in tasks as the others prior to this, it's still exciting to find out what happens. The one issue I had was the ages....though not specifically given in the book for Mia and Connor, there is about a 10 year gap. Since Mia is about 5 years older than his daughter (stated) and Mia babysat for Connor's daughter Elle last (about 10 years prior--stated) when Elle was 9 and Mia was about 14 that puts Connor to be about what? 15 when he fathered her? Seems to be young for that, but yeah, I guess it could happen. I don't know, it bothered me; it seems off.

What a great adventure! Luna did it again. I love how she writes and just captures you and holds you with intrigue and mystery. The Shadow Pack Legends have hooked me and I can not wait for the next book. This is a series that doesn’t bore and doesn’t have me thinking I’ve had enough and I’m ready for it to be over. Luna does a terrific job of making you like the characters and getting you invested with their stories.

Mia sneaks in to the restricted zone around a raging forest fire to find her estranged sister. Unfortunately, she is almost immediately discovered by fire chief Connor. As the fire rages and spread, they are forced to retreat, where Mia rejoins Lana and the others. She soon discovers that not only is her sister a rogue, she is likely at the center of the magical forces creating the fire. But when Mia and the other werewolves travel to the shadow realm to fight the fire, Connor follows them. Can Mia save her sister with a human tagging along? And why does she feel such a strong attraction for him?

Fire Fated is an age-gap romance. While typically I don't have much of a problem with age-gap romances (as long as everyone's adults, and there's not a power imbalance), this one was a little discomforting. Mia previously worked as a babysitter for Connor's child from a previous marriage. Connor even thinks that she's only a few years older than his daughter. Thankfully, they never had any attraction when she was the babysitter, and now they are clearly consenting adults, but the previous relationship between the two of them gave me a bit of the ick.

If you ignore their history, Mia's and Connor's relationship is a bit different and interesting. Both are fairly bullheaded, and Connor's trauma from his ex's cheating makes him particularly sensitive to lying. As Mia blames Connor for punishment she suffered for revealing werewolf secrets, it's a little surprising that she is able to forgive him and appreciate him. It would have been great if they had a little more time to talk about their respective pasts and hang ups as they worked together, to further strengthen their relationship.

Fire Fated has some fun dynamics between two determined main characters. It was an enjoyable read.

Book 4 in the Shadow Pack Legends Series
The wildfire isn’t the only thing burning out of control…

Fire Fated brings the heat in more ways than one. Wildland blazes, forbidden bonds, and the slow-burn ache of a connection that shouldn’t be. This book throws us straight into danger as our shifter heroine breaks every rule to find her rogue sister, only to discover the stakes are much higher than she thought. Dark magic, conspiracies, and a network of secrets unravel the fragile balance between shifters and humans… and no one’s hands are clean.

Then there’s Conner. A human firefighter with sharp instincts, a steady presence, and absolutely no idea he’s caught in a supernatural snare. The slow-burn between them is so thick with tension you could bottle it and sell it as kindling. But their connection? It’s more than lust-it’s fated. And that’s the biggest problem of all.

Because in this world, shifters don’t bond with humans. And if they do, they pay the price.

The story blends action, conspiracy, and romance with just the right amount of emotional pull. There were moments where I needed to know what was coming next, and others where I wanted just a little more depth but overall, this was a solid, satisfying addition to the series.

Read if you love:
🔥 "I have a secret" vibes
🔥 Forbidden love with a side of longing looks and tension-thick silences
🔥 Firefighter heroes who have no clue they’re one step away from a supernatural meltdown
🔥 Shifters navigating duty, desire, and pack politics
🔥 Slooooow burn that’s worth the wait

This book continues to deliver the kind of shifter fantasy romance I devour in one sitting. I’m already eager to see what blaze Luna M. Rose ignites next. Thank you to Book Sirens and the Author for the ARC of this story. I am leaving this review voluntarily with my honest opinion.

In "Fire Fated," the fourth installment of the Shadow Pack Legends series by Luna M. Rose, passion ignites amidst the chaos of a raging wildfire.

Connor, the steadfast Fire Chief of Kitimat, finds himself unexpectedly drawn to Mia when he catches her illicitly entering the data station during the inferno. Despite the significant gap in their ages, the attraction between them is instantaneous and undeniable.

Mia, driven by a desperate need to locate her wayward sister in the untamed wilderness, soon discovers that evading the barricades is only the beginning of her trials.

As circumstances beyond their control continuously thrust Connor and Mia together, the smouldering spark between them intensifies, making it increasingly difficult for Mia to maintain the distance she knows she should keep.

Rose masterfully intertwines the elements of ardour, peril, and the arcane as she weaves the intricate tapestry of Connor and Mia's story. The raw chemistry between the protagonists practically leaps off the page, enveloping the reader in its scorching intensity. However, the path to their ultimate happiness is strewn with danger and uncertainty, as sinister forces align against them, threatening to sunder their tenuous bond and unravel the very essence of the world they inhabit.

"Fire Fated" is a spellbinding tale that will leave readers breathless and yearning for more.

Another great book in the series.

What I love about this series is there not too much to take on. I find them fast, easy reads and I’m always ready Tom dive into the shifter world and enjoy some good old fashioned fated mates and sassy FMC’s.

Mia is desperate to find her sister, when a wild fire starts right in the middle of the last place she’s pretty sure her sister was hiding of course the sensible thing to do is hide inside a fire truck and hitch a ride right into the middle of a wildfire.

The MMC Connor however, doesn’t agree, it also doesn’t help that the girl who used to babysit his daughter, is no longer a girl and he can’t seem to stop his body from noticing how much of a strong woman she has grown into.

However this woman is carrying secrets, whispered words with her ‘friends’ in the middle of a disaster, as the fire chief he’s exhausted, pushed to the limit and trying to fight a fire of the likes he’s never seen.

When he unwittingly follows Mia alone to make sure she’s safe he stumbles into an entire new world. Literally. Can he take on the truth and still see the woman within the wolf.

Great book, great plot, good pace, you do really need to have read the others to follow the ongoing plot within the books even though each book is based around a separate set of ‘couples’

After reading the first three in the series, I was very pleased to receive a free copy of this one.

All of the books in this series have been incredibly original. Things I never would have created, that's for sure. This one was even more. A wolf and a human? Unheard of! I found it interesting that they had already known each other, as well. It amazes me how much one's perceptions can change with some time. The sexual tension between them was suffocating, but it took too long to finally come to fruition… That's the only reason for the 4 stars. I understand why some of it was done that way, but I was on the edge of my seat the whole time waiting for something to finally happen between them. But it did, and everyone's better for it!

Now I just have to patiently wait for the next one to come out…

Fire Fated by Luna M. Rose is an exciting and unique blend of fantasy and romance. The story follows Mia, a wolf shifter on a mission to find her rogue sister, Erin, in the wilderness. When a massive forest fire traps her, she’s forced to team up with Conner, the human fire chief of Kitimat, despite their forbidden attraction. The chemistry between them grows as they both struggle with the fire and their complex feelings.

The pacing starts slow, focusing on the fire’s spread and Mia’s search for her sister, but the tension builds as their forbidden romance develops. The wolf-human dynamic is fresh and intriguing, and the book stands out for its originality and emotional depth.

Overall, Fire Fated is a captivating, unique read with strong characters, a compelling plot, and plenty of romance. If you're looking for something original in fantasy, this is a great choice.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Mia and Logan are en route to the BC woods in search of her sister. What she doesn't expect is to encounter the man she used to babysit and he is fiiiine now. Carter is a firefighter and he along with his crew are battle the wildfires that seem to go on and on. He didn't expect little or not so little Mia showing up at the camp and he's not happy that she's there in an active fire. Mia needs to find her sister and nothing will stop her. Mia's wolf thinks Carter is her mate...but that's impossible as he ia human. Carter never believed in shifters until he is surrounded by them including Mia but it gets stranger when they are sucked into a new world of sorts full of dark magic and ancient relics that can't be good. Drama, lies, ancient conspiracies make this a good read.

I've said before on the review I did on the first book, I usually don't read shorter books like this because often there isn't enough pages to really set up the plot and develop the world and the characters, but because this series has been written like one long story, featuring 2 new MC's in each book, I didn't have that problem. This book flowed smoothly from book 3 to this one. The plot was a little more intense than the previous one, more suspense. Low steam level on this one, but overall I liked the book, now I'm off to read the last one!

Side Note: Again, beautiful cover. I stick with my "don't judge a book by it's cover" belief, you may not want to judge the story by the cover, but the cover can catch someone attention that they might not otherwise would of read it. The cover on book 5 is what caused me to start reading the series. ^.^

An intense captivating sequel. The start was slow, centering on the voracious fire out of control, but not following known patterns and the attraction between Conner, the human fire chief of Kitimat and Mia, a wolf shifter which is an ultimate no no, who was in search of Erin, the sister gone rogue. Mid way the storyline picks up rapidly and Connor is stuck in the Shadow realm along with the others. Twists and unexpected surprises follow to keep you hooked till the end. Age gap overcome, a HEA, but the end left me knowing much more is to come.

Mia is determined to find her sister. The only problem is that there is a massive wild fire at the area where she thought her sister would be. Connor is the chief of the fire department and finds Mia hiding in one of the trucks-trying to go within the flames. Then Connor recognizes her as she used to babysit his daughter when she was younger. But Mia has grown up and he sees her a bit differently now.

This book has tons of twists and turns, along with some classic fantasy creatures but with an original storyline. This story is a bit slow to start, but easy to read and follow the plot.

Thank you Booksirens for an advanced review copy and this is my honest and voluntary review.

I love this series! Like the previous 3 books, we are introduced to a new couple. We follow Mia who is looking for her sister. She gets trapped in a fire and is forced to work with Connor, the Fire Chief.

Now, whilst I loved the story and it didn’t deter me from reading, the age gap trope isn’t really for me. I just find it weird to read.

All in all, I still loved it. I love how throughout the books past pack members pop in etc.

Very easy read, engaging story line. Can’t wait to read the next one!

This is book 4 in the Shadow Pack Legends series and highlights Mia and Connor's story. The main trope in this story is forbidden love. Connor is a wolf shifter and Mia, a human. He understands their union is forbidden, but his heart didn't seem to get that memo. The story is relatively short, but their trials/tribulations that gets in the way of the two MCs getting together draws out them actually being able to be together. The story as well written with good pacing. There was enough obstacles to make the joining of the two MCs satisfying and overall, I enjoyed the story quite a bit. This is the fourth book in this series. If you are looking for a quick (short book), face-paced, interesting enough read that involves a slow burn shifter romance, this is for you. This book does further the overall story of this series, but it is not particularly heavy in the character or plot development. But I have read several of those types of more involved books that dive deep into world building, political intrigues and emotional upheavals recently and was just looking for something that didn’t skim too much further than the surface. A pallet cleanser if you will. Nothing wrong with that. And this book satisfied that craving just fine. So, read this book as the mood takes you. It is still worth a read. It kept me turning pages.

I must say this series gets better and better. The secrets, the danger, the bonds, so much packed into one great story.

Mia’s sister Erin has been separated from her, and with a fire consuming the forest she has to find her. But when she runs into Connor everything changes.

Connor may be a human but he’s the kind of man Mia needs, bold, protective, and strong. I love his character. He and Mia are so perfect for each other. The sacrifice he made for her had my heart pounding. I couldn’t put it down.

This is a very good story with a series backdrop. I liked the first part of the story about forrest fires and how serious they can be, but I wish we could have read about what happened with that.Even though the backdrop changed dramatically I liked the story, the people and the tension.
I like how we got to know Connor and Mia, how their minds worked and their doubts and fears. I liked the tension between them and having a history helped understand them better.
This was a good story that leaves the series story arc with many unresolved issues and I cannot wait to find out what happens next.

I quite liked the story, though I think it was very much reduced into a quick book rather than offering any substance etc.
Mia meets Connor again in the middle of a fire in the middle of a forest and falls in love with him. She's a shifter, he's human and her wolf wants to bond him.
I felt like a few chapters had been removed as even though I picked up the story it felt like detail was missing.
The epilogue at the end took me a while to realise it was Erin not Mia.
The narration was confusing and both MCs sounded the same at points of the book.

I really was rather disappointed I loved the previous books in this series but this one seemed to go from start to finish with nothing much in between. I got MIA and Conner but how did they go from here to there. They translated into the shadow realm but the story bridging the gap just, for me at least, just wasn’t there. The previous books had a natural progression but this one was just chop chop end.

"Yesss it was amazing!!!! I absolutely love it, the tension, angst and drama all was chaotic but worth it!!!! From the very first moment I knew the story was going to be different from the typical fated mates romance. A huge applause to the author for such a wonderful book! It was the first I read of the series but still I enjoy it!!"

I finished the book for the overall plot of the series, but the romance in this one was not for me.. The age-gap and the fact that the fmc was only 5 years older than the mmc's daughter (whom she used to babysit as a teenager) just made it so weird..

I enjoyed it and read it in one sitting, but of you do not read these books consecutively, then you get a bit lost. At least I got.
I could not remember all the characters and the Shadow Pack's logistics were a bit confusing.
What I know for sure is that the story is getting better and more complex by the book.
I had fun and it was an entertaining pastime.

Thank you @booksirens for the copy!
