I was trusted with a copy of this book and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read it!
This is a "spinoff" of sorts from Letting Go, JM Witt's debut novel.
We get to revisit Cassidy and James in this novella, but this book is about Cal and Jane, who we are introduced to in Letting Go.
Jane is on the run for her life and has secrets.
Cal is a cop who is not looking for anything real and enjoys a good time.
Hiding Away is the journey they take together from first meeting until we are left gasping with our stomach in knots with the last words.
There is drama, romance, HOT sex, heartbreak, humor, and love in many forms in Hiding Away.
I actually loved this book and to me, it emotionally involved me even moreso than Letting Go.
Please note, this book does involve a major cliffhanger and you may feel the need to throw your Kindle across the room (or message the author, cussing) when you are done reading, but that should NOT deter you from grabbing this novella.

I was given of copy of this ARC, but not for a review. I'm reviewing it because it absolutely deserves one.

In Hiding Away, we are given the privilege of looking into Cal and Jane's relationship (that was very briefly discussed in Letting Go). Jane comes from wealth and can have anything she wants, but all she wants is to get away. She runs from her violent boyfriend and moves back home with her parents in the hopes to heal her broken heart and shattered soul. What she doesn't expect, is to meet Cal. They start a whirlwind relationship that moves rather quickly. He holds nothing back because Jane is what he wants. Can he put together the pieces of her broken heart so she can open up to him in the biggest way possible?

I almost feel bad saying this, but I loved Jane and Cal so much... maybe even more than James and Cassidy (I know!!). Cal is a no nonsense cop, who is covered in tattoos and wasn't looking to add a serious girlfriend into his life. Jane is just broken but you can't help but fall in love with her. Life knocks her down, but she gets back up and stands tall (almost as if to say 'Is that all you got??'). They meet and it's like their souls were made for each other. I just love them as a couple. They are that couple that you could picture being together forever and make you believe in soul mates.

Yes, this book is a novella, but don't let that deter you from picking it up. Novellas are usually hit or miss with me. They are either so lacking in information that you wonder why you even wasted your time... or they are written so well that you can't help but applaud the author for getting it right. JM Witt got this right! She packed so many emotions in this book, but she didn't skimp on the descriptions. She had me right from the Prologue.

Yes, this does end in a cliffhanger. I almost tossed my Kindle... so beware. The last line had me cursing JM Witt, but in a good way.. lol. Can't wait for the next book!!

I have been waiting for this one. I loved Letting Go by J.M. Witt and I couldn’t wait to see what she had in the works with Cal and Jane.

Hiding Away runs along the same timeline as Letting Go did. We go to the some of the same events with Cal and Jane that we went through with James and Cassidy but from our new couple’s POV.

I liked that. We know that Cal and Jane started dating during Letting Go, but it was nice to get in a little deeper, see how it came about for them, their thoughts as they went through these events.

In appearance Cal is this bad a$$ tatted up cop but when you “watch” him with Jane and Cassidy, he is incredibly sweet.

Jane has been through Hell recently, that is why she moved back home. She definitely wasn’t expecting to meet Cal and start to heal from what had happened to her in a previous relationship.

There were some incredibly hot scenes between our couple but I expect nothing less from J.M. Witt after reading Letting Go. She can write a scene that will have you fanning yourself and wishing you were in Jane’s place.

It was fast paced, moved very quickly, in fact that would be the only wish I had about this book, that it slowed down a little bit and went into more detail. I totally could have used more of Cal and Jane. (What book that you enjoyed doesn’t make you wish for more?)

P.S. Just to make the author laugh, where are the bathroom scenes – like going to it? I don’t get to bring out my prudish delicate lady sensibilities with bathroom stuff in this review. :D You have to read my review of Letting Go to get that.

Thank you so much for copy of Hiding Away!

I just love Cal and Jane and am very happy that we are getting to read their story. In “Letting Go”, author JM Witt’s debut novel, Jane captured my interest and Cal captured my heart. Learning the events in Jane’s past that have brought her back to her hometown and into Cal’s life took me on an emotional ride that left me believing in the power of love.

Cal…I don’t even know where to begin – I think he is just perfect! Although Cal has been a bit of player, it’s obvious that once he meets Jane that she is “it” for him. It was fun reliving some of the scenes in “Letting Go” and hearing them in Cal’s POV, and seeing just how quickly and hard Cal fell for Jane. I also liked learning a bit more about Cassidy’s past as events unfolded in Cal’s life.

Jane had me all over the place with my emotions. My heart was breaking as I learned about her past, I was cheering for her as she took control of her life and made tough decisions, and I was rooting for her as she struggled to find her way with Cal.

Although the events in “Hiding Away” run parallel to most of the events in “Letting Go”, I never felt that I was re-reading the same story. Because the focus was on Cal & Jane, the scenes that were retold were fresh and gave new perspective to the story that was told in “Letting Go”. It was also fun learning a bit more about James & Cassidy though Cal & Jane telling their story.

As far as the cliffhanger – JM Witt I hate you, but I say that in the most loving way! I am not a huge cliffhanger fan, but to be honest, I’m ok with how you left things…for now…so get writing and let us know what happens next!

I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.

Writing a review for this book has posed a dilemma for me... I have been procrastinating this review for nearly a month. The story pulls at the heartstrings with a moving and sexy new romance, and ping-pongs back and forth from discovering new love, to gut wrenching anxiety. The love scenes varied from sweet and tender, to hot and steamy - and I loved them all. There were moments when I could not read fast enough, and other moments when I actually could not catch my breath. Ms. Witt does an excellent job in conveying the full range of emotion and passion. I was a happy camper until - arg - a cliffhanger. I don't have enough polite words in my vocabulary to express my displeasure! I am not a fan of this distressing trend. On the one hand, I feel emotionally invested and care about these characters, and I want to know what happens to them. But on the other hand, I am resentful of the abrupt and dramatic ending. I felt much like I had been left dangling from the flag pole, in a short skirt, on a stormy day... raw and exposed. So, feeling as I do, can I recommend this novella to others? It IS an emotive story and merits a read, but I feel compelled to add this warning label - recommended for adults who like sensual romance and don't mind having their heart repeatedly constricted and inflamed, then forcibly removed for transplant, with no donor forthcoming for months on end. Grumble... grumble...

I was given a complimentary copy of this book and I am so glad I had the chance to read it!

This is Jane’s and Cal’s story, whom we met in Letting Go. Cassidy and James also appear in this novella, and I was extremely happy about that.
Jane is the sweet, damaged woman on the run, who’s hoping to rebuild her life with the help of her family. Cal is the sexy, tattooed cop who doesn’t do relationships, but is always up for a good time.
An unexpected meeting turns out to be more than they bargained for and they find themselves wishing for things that might not be possible. Jane is hiding a secret and is afraid to let anyone know. Cal knows something is wrong and that it’s bothering her, but he’s willing to let her open up to him on her own.

This novella had me going through so many emotions at once. There’s lots of humor and romance. There’s drama and heartbreak. The steamy scenes between Cal and Jane would’ve fogged my glasses if I wore any. There was plenty of angst while I waited for the shoe to drop and Jane’s “secret” to catch up with her. I found myself completely engrossed in the story and couldn’t wait to see how Jane’s and Cal’s relationship would develop.

I was totally devastated with the ending (which is a Cliffhanger). My stomach was in knots, I was hyperventilating, and I seriously would’ve thrown my phone if I hadn’t been at work!
I can’t wait for the continuation of this series…

Cal and Jane will quickly steal your heart.

Cal is sweet on the inside and pure badass on the out side. He s a tatted cop with a heart of gold, a man any woman would be happy to take home to mom and dad.

Jane is a sweetheart but she has some serious demons in her not so distant past. She's tough and guarded. When these two collide the sparks go flying.

If you read Letting Go, the first book in this series, you already have a back round of these two. This book gives you the all exclusive behind the scenes look at what went on when we were all too focused of jb3 and cass. It also takes you beyond what you thought you knew and into some intense situations.

I really enjoyed this book!!! I have read letting go and already had some serious curiosity about these characters. they were secondary characters in the first book but they were given enough attention that had me unable to stop wondering what was to become of them. As the information was fed to me page by page I couldn't get enough. I found my self reading to quickly and forcing my self to put it down so it would be over so quickly. but alas it ended. and what a shocker of an ending it was. I wont give details but I about fell over. I still might. The ending will leave you knowing that the next book is going to blow you away. just as this one will. J.M WITT is defiantly an Author to watch, each book gets better and better. she quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

WOW! Another emotional book by the wonderful J.M Witt!
Hiding away shows you the relationship with Cal and Jane. Yowzah!!! Cal, the hot tatted up cop that loves his family and friends to no end. Jane, damaged and abused by love who comes home to the solace of her family. These two meet when they least expected to do so and the story shows ups and down and the love that hangs in the balance.
Reading this book i felt so many emotions and I loved every bit of them. Jane hides behind a facade that everything is fine and her past will not allow her to move forward, and Cal knows there is something that she is hiding but that doesn't stop him from wanting to make Jane his only.
There is suspense, andgst and plenty of steamy scenes!!! Bravo to J.M and i must say that i am a super fan on this series!! It also delves into the relationship of James and Cassidy from Letting Go.
Cant wait to read the rest of their stories in upcoming books!!! Kudos!!! LOVED IT!!!

I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

Jane has demons that strangle her from the past. She runs and tries to hide, but there's one person she should confide in the most. She's been put through a lot in the past few years and wants to start fresh. When a romance comes barreling at her, she sticks her heels in and enjoys the ride.

Cal...wowza Cal. The hot ass tattooed cop that we all got a glimpse of in Letting Go is BACK!!! He has a heart of gold and wants nothing more than to open himself up and let love in...but will the woman he wants show him her past?

I loved this story, it was inviting and kept me wanting more. As soon as I was comfortable, something else came at me wanting me to turn to the next page.

JM Witt has a way with captivating my interest. Whether it's the drama, steamy sex scenes or my mouth hanging wide open in shock....I love this author.

This is book 1.5 in the Anchored Hearts Series, and while I say yes you can read it as a stand alone I think you would get more out of it if you read book one first.

This is Cal and Jane's story.

When we first meet Jane she is in a not so good relationship, you get to see first hand how she is treated and why she leaves and goes back home to be with her family. Her Mom and her Cousin who is her best friend, James. We meet James in book one of this series. We also are introduced to Jane, and you don't really know what made her come home in the first book, but you find out why in this one.

Jane becomes quite fond of Cassidy, James' girl, and in the process of getting to know Cassidy she meets Cassidy's brother Cal. INSTANT sparks!! Fire crackers flew out of my kindle! I had to fan myself.. I wasn't sure if I could love two people more in this series then James and Cassidy. I was very skeptical. But it was put to rest immediately as I was sucked into the pages.

The story was so captivating it felt real. I hope you understand that. :) So much has happened to Jane, she is scared and she is broken, but the cool thing is she wants to be put back together whether she sees that or not. Most of the time the woman is just done and doesn't let anyone in and it is like fighting tooth and nail for something you probably aren't going to get anyway. Now don't get me wrong she isn't a pushover. She struggles with all that has happened to her and there are a couple of times when she wants to confide in Cal and she just can't find the strength to do it. THIS IS A CLIFFHANGER!! I found myself hanging off the side of the freaking cliff and the Author has left me there, laughing her evil laugh .. saying "I got myself another one" Yes she did!!!! I can't wait to read what happens with these two characters as well as James and Cassidy this is a spectacular read!!! A must read!!! A why didn't I read that sooner read.
It has so much creamy goodness throughout the whole book you will end up reading it in one sitting just like I did!! Thank you again for another wonderful story in this series!!! You ROCK hard!!!!!!! <3

The first volume in the series “Letting Go” grabbed on tight and would not let go. Now, you will want to stay hidden away to devour every word of “Hiding Away”. Make certain that the room is well insulated, though, so you can scream at Jane, “Just tell him!” and Cal, “Give her room. Listen to your gut!” You will also need a well-padded room so you can scream, “NO!” and throw your reader. I am hoping that what appears to be the end is only the beginning and, if you do not like cliffhangers, then put it on your to-be-read list and move on until the series is done because you do not want to miss it. I, however, love the fear, anticipation, and the wonder that follows a book with a heart-rending cliffhanger and enjoy running different “coulda, shoulda, woulda” scenarios through my mind as I try to imagine where the journey will take us next.

On a more serious note, this is Jane’s story and it’s not a pretty one, at first, about domestic violence. More than that, though, it is a story about finding the strength inside yourself to change, to move on, to become your own person again after being someone else’s possession. It is a story about rebuilding, hope, love, and learning how to live again. It also reminds you during one of the scenes where you want to scream at them because Cal is a cop and ran a domestic violence call: Don’t judge someone else until you’ve been there. It seems to be the perfect opening but Jane remains quiet with the one person who can help her the most because she is ashamed that it happened to her.

It is easy to see from the beginning that Cal is everything Jane needs to finish healing but what happens when running out and Hiding Away are not enough? When the ghosts of the past come back to tear apart the dreams of the future? I am already anticipating the next volume “Letting Go of You” and dreading the continuation of Hiding Away in volume 2.5 but I cannot wait to see where J.M. Witt takes us next in the Anchored Heart series that, so far, has been five-stars all the way for me.

A Novella
JM Witt

I really hate it when someone gets abused. It's just not what a human would do! Well, this is what Jane went through and it's sad really. She packed up and left that part of her life. She moved back to her hometown to live with her mom. And just tried to be invisible and hides from Derek, THE ABUSIVE x-boyfriend. She's not ready to commit to anyone since she just got out of a crazy relationship.

Cal the sexy cop who's had a fair share of one night stands BUT when he meets Jane, everything changed. I love how he's very protective of her. Very sweet, sexy Alpha-Male cop.

It was love at first sight for Cal and Jane. Doesn't matter how long you've known a person because when you know that that person is the one, you just know. Cal never planned to fall for Jane. But when it happened, it was mad love in a good way.

They both tried to slow things down since everything just happened so fast after the auction. But realizing it's not possible, Cal and Jane takes a big risk to make this relationship work. They end up making one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

I'm a sucker for book with HEAs and that will draw me in from the beginning to the end and this book did just that. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Awesome job, JM Witt! And WARNING, CLIFFY!

I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.

I just finish reading this book, and I love it, I love the characters, but I do have to say did not like the ending, now I cant wait to read the part of this book, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.

The story begging with Jane, after being abuse and beating for one last time, by her ex Derek, Jane decide that it was time to go back home, once she got home she felt relieved, she started to wonder if Derek would be looking for her, she got to spend time with her cousin James, the weeks keep passing by, and she is starting to get comfortable, she is looking for a job, when her cousin mention to her that he needs a tenant for his place, she tells him that she would love to, but she decline she knows that she is not ready to leave by herself, she fill more safe at her moms, after she meets Cassidy, and she attend the ball that Cassidy planed, Jane mother ask her if she could take a gift that she got for Cassidy, Jane agree to do it, when she got to Cassidy that's when she meets her brother Calvin. Now Calvin is a cop working the night shifts, his goal is to joining SWAT, when he meets Jane he knows that she is the one, after that day they get closer to each other, and start having feeling for one another, would she cave in and finally open up to Calvin, or would she let her past get in the way.

I really love and enjoy reading this book, now I wish I could have read the first book, James and Cassidy story, I love the way how Jane and Calvin are with each other, and cant wait to read what would happened next for them. Author J.M. Witt THANK YOU for introducing to this awesome book and this amazing characters love it.

Oh where do I begin....

I wasn't sure how this book would be as a couple days before I got to read Hiding away I read Letting Go, which if you haven't read you may not need to cause this book pretty much sums it up as well. You will miss the drama and the first person experience of it, but hiding Away is pretty much cliff notes from Letting Go. I sort of felt robbed of more of Cal and Jane's story as literally word for word conversations from the first book were put right into this book. I know it was happening at the same time, but a good portion was a reread. They weren't joking about the crossing over of novels *wink*

I think its saving grace was Cal and Jane's growing romance. Jane's tragic past relationship would play on any readers heart and you just desired for her to get out and find something she deserved. A fragile framed girl couldn't find a better protector then Cal! A cop who was built like a Mack Truck, blonde hair, blue eyes and a soft spot...SWOON! They are so playful that even I had to chuckle at times with them. Let's not forget the steam in this book, HOLY CLAM BALLS, I had to stop and regulate my breathing a few times!

I think the author found a good groove too with this book. As there were some perspective issues in Letting Go that were frustrating, such as switching mid chapter from first to third person, but she stayed all in first person which made the flow easier to read. It made the characters easier to love as you could totally imagine you as them in the moment.

I think the series is getting better with each installment and I can not wait to read the next one to find out more!

First off I recommend that you read Letting Go before reading this book. There is a lot of cross over from the first book and you may be a little lost in the beginning if you don't read Letting Go. Sometimes I felt like I was re-reading book 1 in certain parts, just from different characters perspective.
Jane is damaged from an abusive relationship and runs as fast as she can back to sanctuary, her parents home. She hopes her past doesn't catch up with her. She tries to get on with her life but is very scared to do so. Then she meets Cal. Can she stop hiding away and let someone new into her heart?
Cal is a hot tattooed cop. He's down to earth and he loves deeply for those he cares about. Cal wasn't looking for his happy ever after woman but he thinks he may have found her after he meets Jane. He knows there is something that she won't tell him, something that is important. Can he get her to tell him her secret, a secret that she hasn't told anyone, before it's too late?
This book had it all, heartache, suspense, sexy scenes. I really enjoyed this book. I did not enjoy the major cliffhanger at the end. I was like "What, huh....where is the damn rest of the book...NOOOO damn J.M. why did you have to that to us?" So J.M. if you read this, please write FASTER!! I'm very anxious to read the rest of Cal and Jane's story. For those of you that are thinking about starting this series, don't hesitate, just do it, you won't be disappointed. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5

I couldn't wait to read this book.. I loved Letting Go by J.M. Witt and was super excited to read this story about Cal and Jane two characters that were introduce in the first book.

Hiding away is the timeline as letting go. We actually get to read about the same events with Cal and Jane that we read about with James and Cassidy in Letting Go, but of course its through the new couple's POV (Cal & Jane).

Jane is on the run for her life and has secrets. Cal is a police officer, he is an alpha male but he has a sweet side and he wants to have a good time and enjoy being a bachelor until he meets Jane all that changes.

This book is about the journey they take together from the first time they meet and everything in between. then we have the last words that leave you with a cliffhanger...

This is a great read it has drama, romance Hot love scenes, heartbreak, humor and a lot of emotions.

I really enjoyed this book I did feel like it was fast pace, moved very quickly. I would have liked to see more detail and see the storyline slow down a little.

It does have a cliffhanger that leaves you wanting to scream and leaving you wanting answers now it is a good read and if you like this kind of read then pick it up...

Jane is a strong survivor, a woman on the run from an emotional past. She decides to pack up and run back to the security of her hometown, friends and her loving family. Jane's hiding a traumatic abusive past relationship from them all.

Cal is the epitome of all alpha males, sexy with tattoos yet he is also a fun-loving, charming protective cop who utterly charms everyone he meets. He really doesn't want a relationship instead he prefers a healthy sex life with friends until he meets Jane.

Your emotions will range from happy to sad and from heartache to bliss. This couple belong together and they will curl your toes with their spicy in-between-the-sheets love life. They will also warm your heart with humor and thrilling suspenseful adventures.

Be ready to bawl your eyes out, because this one is an heart tripper and the tug on your tear ducs will not be denied! Be warned this is not for the faint of heart or the HEA everyone always expects from a sharp intense romantic erotic tale, you will want to throw this one across the room!

Thank You J. M. WITT! Truly the thriller emotional roller coaster I wanted!

Hiding Away is a companion novella to Letting Go. It is told from both Jane and Cal’s points of view. Jane is trying to elude her past and moves back home for the security of her parents and friends. Cal is the hot, tatted up cop who has never really been into relationships.

I loved getting to see the softer side of Cal. Once Jane comes to the realization that she is in love with him, he becomes the sweet, protective boyfriend. Cassidy and James also make their appearances throughout this novella since it does run along the same time frame as Letting Go.

This novella is very fast-paced. As I was reading, I wanted the story to slow down some so I could digest it better. And then, the ending. OMG! The ending!! I will not disclose any spoilers, but I seriously felt sick. So, now I wait with the many others who feel the same way as I do for the next instalment.

My plead is for J.M. Whitt to write quickly and provide us some resolution to Jane’s story. Hiding Away is an emotional ride full of suspense, steamy scenes, and Cal!!

I love reading a follow up work by a new author. I really liked JM Witt's first book, the second book shows a lot of growth as a writer. The characters are well developed and their interactions are real and believable. The range of emotions runs the gamut: anger, passion, love and regret. The plot moves well and keeps the reader interested. The suspense plot line intrigues the reader and the twist at the end may take some by surprise.

Jane returns to her hometown with a dark secret she refuses to share. Tired of enduring the tirades of her boyfriend she flees trying to secure a normal life. She is introduced to Cal, Cassidy's brother, by her cousin James. The sparks that started in Ms.Witt's first book, Letting Go, become a forest fire in Hiding Away. Cal and Jane's story is intense and romantic. Their relationship moves quickly and the book is a quick passionate read. I loved the story of their relationship and the the insight into other characters that are intermingled throughout. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next installment in the series.

I was sooo excited for this book! I've been wanting to know what happens between Cal and Jane since the first book and JM Witt did not disappoint!!

"His lips gently brushed mine, but his eyes were open. The lust that surged through me had me melting against him as his blue eyes drilled into me."

Jane moves back home after running away from a bad relationship and meets Cal through her cousin James. Cal is a HOT cop who has never had a real serious relationship, until he meets Jane. Man, the fire between the two of them is roaring!! The connection is instant and Jane isn't sure that she is ready for a relationship. She knows Cal isn't her ex but she's always afraid that he is lurking somewhere close. Will Jane ruin the best thing that has ever happened to her or will she finally move out of the past to live her life?

BEWARE!!! HUGE cliffhanger..DAMN you JM!!! I still have a hangover!!

Firstly you do need to read Letting Go so you don't spoil that story as Hiding Away story runs along side. In this story we follow James's cousin Jane who has just managed to escape a really violent relationship. She moves back home where she feels safer to start to rebuild her life. At this point a new man is not on the cards but that's until Jane meets Cassidy's brother, hot cop Calvin. He makes her safe loved and cherished something she has never felt with a man before, she begins to let her guard down with Calvin, but can she build her future with her past still a secret?
I really enjoyed this story, it was hard hitting and really steamy in places, the characters were likeable and realistic.
But that ending shocked me to the core, it was a truly WTF moment and left me begging to know more, I can't believe I have to wait to find out what happens next !!!!
Great book, fab read !

Loving this series!

This is Jane and Cal's book. I admit, after reading the first book all I wanted was more Cassidy and James. After reading this one, I want more Jane and Cal!

Jane is fresh out of a BAD relationship. She packed up and went home to her parents' home. The last thing on her mind was jumping into another relationship. After meeting Cal through his sister Cassidy, she decides that she just wants to have a little fun. What could it hurt?

Cal is a sexy police officer and very protective brother. When he meets Jane he immediately knows that there is something special about her and he's willing to put his "playboy" ways behind him. Things move rather quickly but he can sense there is something that Jane isn't telling him.

I love these characters! Yeah, Cal is a sexy, rough and tough cop but he has a super-sweet side. Jane is sweet and is struggling to move forward because of her past. I cannot wait to read more about them in the future books!

I loved this book.

When I first read Letting Go, JM Witt was a new author to me, but I loved the book so much and I was completely hooked :) So it is not a big surprise that I devoured this one for one sitting. I just couldn't stop reading.

I cannot imagine a heartbreak like Jane's and surviving what she went through and despite all that having the strength to pick up the peaces and start with her life again and even trusting another man. Yes, she kept her secrets but Cal managed to glue the pieces of her heart together, make her whole again.

Having all that in mind, the ending was not I expected. I loved the suspense and I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series to find out what will happen with Cal and Jane, and of course with Cassidy and JB3 :)

Definitely a recommended read :)

I was honoured to be one of the beta readers for this book. I'd enjoyed Letting Go, but think I enjoyed this book even more.

It's the story of Cam and Jane this time round although you do get some continuation from book one, as well as just a little duplication as this time it's told from Cam and Jane's perspective. Cassidy and JB3 are heavily featured, and it was good to see them again.

I absolutely loved the ending to this book, it is a little bit of a cliffhanger, but hey, you already knew you wanted to buy book two for more of sexy JB anyway.

The characters are well written and enjoyable. Even though Jane's had a horrible past she isn't a weak character, and Cam is just a hot hunk. What can I say, I fall for a hot hunk every time.

Enjoyable story that just leaves you wanting the author to hurry up and release the next book.

This was an amazing story for Cal and Jane. I hated everything that Jane had to go through to find someone as amazing as Cal. They were just perfect for each other, both giving and so full of love. I thought that Jane really deserved that after what Derek had put her through. It was also nice to see James and Cassidy and see how they progressed as well. I definitely wanted to punch Derek at the end of this one and I know I was warned there was a cliffhanger, but damn!! I hated that one. I cannnot wait until the next book to find out what's going on with everyone. I really can't say anymore, even though I'm dying to. Ms. Witt wrote a fantastic book that kept me glued to it from start to finish. I'll just be waiting over here for the next book, in great anticipation of what comes next.

I LOVED this book! I'm not sure what I was expecting when I started it but BAM it captured me right from the beginning and I was a goner. This is, dare I say a stand alone? It can be read and enjoyed if you have not read Letting Go, Anchored Hearts vol.1. However, for the greatest reading enjoyment, why not read that one first?
5 stars!
OK, back to Hiding Away. Jane was trying to escape from her past. She was not expecting to find Cal. Not only did he have her interest but he gained her attention and affection. And how could he not? He is exactly what she didn't know she needed. Now, it wouldn't be a Witt book if there wasn't some major plot twist. Let's just say, hold on to your kindle, phone, computer-whatever device you are reading on because there will be times when you want to throw said item across the room. Please refrain from doing so. :)

I was given this book for an honest review.

This book not only touched my heart strings but it touched personal issues as well. You will have your fill of romance, laughter, heartbreak and hot sex while reading Hiding Away.

Jane is a lady trying to escape a past that even her parents don't know about. She wants to start a new life and forget about her last life.

Cal is a cop who loves life and wants to have fun. His whole life is his sister and his job. If he can fit in a little fun in the sack he'll take it.

***Spoiler*** Major cliffhanger for this book. So much so that you want to kick scream and throw your kindle down. But this is a must read book. J.M. Witt did an absolutely amazing job developing her characters. I loved it!!!

Ohhh where to start with this one. Even though this book is a novella, it didn't feel like it, because I was already so familiar with the characters. This is the story of Calvin and Jane, we got to know them in Letting Go and in Hiding Away we come to love them.

Calvin and Jane fall hard and quickly in love. But Jane's past still haunts her, and Calvin just wants to make Jane happy. But when Jane's past meets her at the front door all hell breaks loose and some pretty unmentionable things take place and then,,,and then,,,, Oh hell I can't even go on. So I'm just going to say I totally loved this book, I can't wait for the next one, and EVERYONE should go read them :-) Now I'm off to sulk for a bit.
