When Jania, a devoted Christian with a heart of gold, meets Kendrick at the community center, she encounters a man deeply burdened by sorrow. After a family tragedy leaves him as the guardian of his niece, Kendrick feels lost and disconnected from his faith. Despite the growing distance between them, Jania remains steadfast, a beacon of love and compassion, even as Kendrick battles his inner demons and tries to push her away. In this poignant tale, two souls journey through heartache, discovering the power of faith and the courage to heal their deepest wounds.
I honestly wish the book was longer because I truly enjoyed Kendrick and Jania love story. They were the perfect example of patience and being there for each other through both the good and hard times. Their relationship beautifully embodies the idea that a strong relationship involves three people: you, your partner, and God. I’m so grateful for this book, you really did an amazing job! I can’t wait to read more of your work.
The way Zara clung to Jania was so adorable, I couldn't hold back tears anytime they were together. I loved that not only did Jania fill in that gap as a motherly role model for Zara, but she actually took interest and encouraged Zara's gifts/passion. As for Uncle Kenny aka. Kendrick was such a great man! Not many people would step up and take the role that he had to take after such a tragedy. Kendrick stood on business for his niece Zara, and was always on guard for her. And don't let me forget to mention the chemistry between Jania and Kendrick!! It's was beautiful, cute, and all things wonderful🥹
