There are some things you can count on in life. Boy Scouts will sell popcorn in the fall. Texas will be hot as hell in August. Teenage boys will roll their eyes at their moms. And Caisey Quinn will write kick ass books that will be full of emotion and characters that will stay with you.

Fate is engaged to a jackass. One that quickly proves how unworthy his is of her affection and loyalty. But now that she is unengaged, she finds she is several other things like homeless and penniless. That is a problem since she is not really fond of being homeless and her rehab mom is counting on her to not be penniless. And another thing.....the night that the jackass revealed himself as a jackass, Fate had a little, how shall we say...indiscretion. Yeah, she gave her virginity to a stranger on the beach. Just a smidge of an indiscretion.

Now she is in NYC starting a new job and really trying hard not to be penniless and homeless.

Something, the worst things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us.

Dean is in line to be the CFO of his family's very successful business. He has it all going his way. If only he could forget the girl on the beach who haunts his dreams. She gave herself to him and then disappeared. Before he found out who she was and certainly before he was finished with her.

Of course, you know how this is going to play out....Fate is the girl and she is going to work for his company. You knew that was coming. What you don't know is how either one of them are going to react. Is Fate that shy virgin she seemed on the beach. And Dean...is he a playboy or a guy looking for something real. Or could both of them be forever changed by the other?

Fate doesn't have time to wait for Dean to figure it out.

This hot-and-cold act may work on whatever other women you're screwing, but...I'm going to pass on riding the Dean Maxwell Bipolar Express

Fate and Dean have both been hurt and are wary of getting hurt again. They have flirty emails, sassy best friends, Gold Medal sex, snarky bosses, and great inner-dialogue. Like hilarious inner-dialogue.

Today's raging orgasm is brought to you by the numbers one and seven.

Warning, do not get attached! Penis is only available on loan.

This second book in the series can be read as a stand alone. If this is your first Caisey Quinn book, you are going to want to read more of her. She has a great style that pulls you. Her characters are flawed and hopeful. Once has read this one, you will be the saying Ditto. Ditto to Ms Quinn.

Although I’m a big fan of Caisey Quinn’s books, the first one in her Second Chance series was not a favorite of mine. So, I was a bit reserved in hitting the one-click this time around for the second installment. Fortunately, this time was everything I have come to expect and love about Quinn's writing. I loved this story along with Dean Maxwell and Fate Buchanan, who are both engaging and interesting characters. Dean could be a bit self-centered and rude at times, making it a challenge to like him. He’s the one with the money and wealthy upbringing. Fate is faced with money issues dealing with a family-related problem. There’s a chance encounter on a beach after a runaway bride escapes another encounter of the worst kind on the night before her wedding. Yes, this may be a trope that has been done time and time again BUT I can assure you that this author puts her own spin on this one and comes up with a solid result. I don’t want to ruin the fun of discovering all the pieces that go together to make up a really entertaining reading experience – so here’s where I’ll stop.

Just clear your schedule for a sexy and utterly addictive story that consumes you until the last word. An amazing read except for . . .

One little criticism – there were too many misplaced words, missing words, and just silly little editing goofs throughout this book. I’m not very forgiving of these types of easily corrected issues. Where oh where was the proofreader? Certainly not doing a line-by-line proof of the final copy before the publish button was pushed.

This is a review for Falling for Fate and its prequel Falling for You.

“It damn sure is my business. How can you do your real job if you’re out every night, prancing around half naked behind the bar till God knows when?”

Our leading man, ladies and gentlemen! Isn't he charming? (And yes, he says this to the heroine.)

Falling for Fate opens with Fate coming to New York for her first job. Initially, she was meant to move there with her soon-to-be husband, but when she caught him cheating on her with her best friend, Fate does the move on her own and calls off the wedding. That night when she caught her fiancé and best friend, she ran down the beach where a out of this world handsome man found her, and one thing led to another, and he took her virginity right there on the beach. When he left a few seconds, Fate ran. Now, back to present day and New York, she runs into the man from the beach. Who just happens to be her new boss, Dean. He's spent all his awake moments since that night trying to either forget about the woman who's virginity he took or doing his best to find her, both without much luck. When they meet, Dean wants nothing more than have her again, and Fate is hesitant to do so.

All right, let's just get this out of the way: this book is terrible. The only thing that isn't bad is actually the writing (which is one of the most common complaints about New Adult as a genre). It's good. But it doesn't make up for the rest of the book.

Introducing: our main characters. Dean is your typical creep, sexists/misogynist that the New Adult genre is so good on producing. He shames women for having sex, and treats them like sex objects. So when he finds Fate, our virgin heroine, and finds out she's a virgin, he falls in love. Suddenly he believes he has some kind of say in what she does with her body.
He’d been inside her, dammit. The first man ever. He sincerely hoped he was still the only man ever.

Excuse me for not worshiping the ground he walks on. Misogynist assholes aren't my type, that's all. Besides, Dean's obsession with the fact that Fate was a virgin until he came along is beyond creepy. He's practically more in love with this fact than he is in love with Fate.

In the other corner, we have Fate. Guess what? She loves to shame women too. Not only women having sex, but people in general. For example when Dean fires his female assistant (because she propositioned sex to him at the workplace) the assistant is replaced.
And his slutty assistant had been replaced by a fuller-figured woman who looked to be in her forties.

This implying that a woman with a fuller figure and in her forties is to be seen as someone asexual. (I'm not supporting what the first assistant did, sexual harassment is sexual harassment.)

Not to mention that Fate shits all over her own gender repeatedly.
You told me you didn’t know if you could offer me more than this weekend and I’ve told you repeatedly that I’m okay with that. I know it’s not the typical female response

Wonderful people, huh?

But hey, unlikable character aren't the end of the world (or a book). Although, it's clear these aren't supposed to be that unlikable. Usually it's the plot that makes up for that, but in Falling for Fate, that's not the case. The plot is basically Dean and Fate tiptoeing around each other when all they really want to do is jump each other. There's nothing of substance that could be mistaken for a plot. Instead it's raging hormones, Dean obsessing over Fate's taken virginity, and Fate going back and forth like a swing. Which isn't enough to carry a book.

Caisey Quinn is an Author that I have been in "fan-girl crush mode" with since I first read Girl with Guitar last year. I thought I had read every single book of hers, but it seems that Last Second Chance (book 1 of this series) slipped right by me. How that happened I have no clue, but I will be going back to read that soon (can't break my streak). However, I am please to say that Falling for Fate is a true stand alone book. I never felt like I was out of sync with the book or the characters, so reading this out of order is absolutely fine.

Reading Falling for Fate (and the bonus novella that starts the book Falling for You) reminded me just how much I love Caisey Quinn's writing. This book was just what I needed this week, something heart felt, addicting and hot! There were some angst/drama moments but with the Caisey at the wheel this story never dragged or got stale, the back and forth and the chemistry really kept me flipping pages well into the night and then again in the carpool lane the next morning. I could not stop reading about Fate and Dean! I had to know what happened next!

One of the things that makes Falling for Fate special is it takes a pretty ordinary story about an inter-office romance and puts a new spin on it. While this isn't my favorite of plots, I did enjoy the twists and turns Caisey Quinn added in. The writing in this story was superb! I love the way Caisey can take words and weave them into witty and engaging dialogue, while creating characters that you care about and connect with. I am a fan!

Fate and Dean were a great pair to watch, the tug of their chemistry, the pull of their responsibilities and their heat was worth the price of this book, but Falling for Fate was more than just a love story. It was a about Fate finding out just how strong she is and learning that she can make it on her own and falling in love doesn't make you weak. Caisey Quinn writes her characters young (early/mid twenties) so some of the challenges and issues they overcome are very realistic (if I can remember that far back). Dean was an interesting character that made me crave more time with. We get to know him throughout the book and what gets revealed really helps the reader understand why he struggles with the "more" aspect of Fate. And the epilogue made me love him more!

Falling for Fate was a great read, intense heat and crazy awesome secondary characters. I really enjoyed Fate and Deans journey and if you are looking for a quick read this weekend I recommend Falling for Fate (or any Caisey Quinn book). If you have ever had the worst day of your life and think nothing good will ever come out of it, read Falling for Fate and see that sometimes the worst day of your life can bring you the best thing that has ever happened to you.

Falling for Fate
Caisey Quinn
5 - freaking hot as hell stars!

When Dean Maxwell sees what he can only imagine is a mythical creature that devours men is he in for a surprise when that same lonely heartbroken girl gives him the most important gift a girl can give.

Fate Buchanan has witnessed the unthinkable. She finds refuge in the salt water and breeze of the ocean. Her quiet is interrupted when a gorgeous and sexy man asks her if she's okay. While heartbroken and hurt that she found her fiancée in the bed with her bridesmaid/best friend after saving herself for marriage to him. She offers herself up to Dean Maxwell, future CFO of Maxwell Medical. She tells him she wants him and needs him. Of course, she has no clue who he is.
So after giving herself to him and having what she considers gold medal sex, she questions what she's done and runs at the first opportunity and leaves Dean to look for her for a solid three months. Unfortunately, for him the summer is over and he still hasn't found her. He heads home to New York to begin his career.

Can you imagine his luck when he thinks he's found her at his celebratory party? But could it be her? Why would she be there? The next morning he is dumbfounded and shocked as he watches her give a marketing strategy presentation at his own company. While she's surprised herself she can't help but feel that magnetic pull to him. Like the moon controlling the tides of the ocean, he is controlling her thoughts and wants.

Dean has promised to never love another woman because they tend to leave. It's better to protect yourself from hurt than to experience love and then hurt. He's a broken man who wants just a friends with benefits relationship although he presents a lot of alpha caveman tendencies towards Fate. He knows he can't offer her more. But does that stop him from falling? Is he able to prevent his heart from beating just for her? Can Fate help mend his ways? Can she be strong enough to deal with Dean and his insecurities? You'll have to read for yourself to find out.

I will tell you I was so glad that The Second Chance Ranch plays a part in this story. I loved Trace and Kylie's story so I was glad to see SCR.

I have to do a little happy dance every time I get a new Caisey Quinn book to read, but I think FALLING FOR FATE has to be my favorite by far (sorry Trace).

As the second book in the Second Chance series, it takes a bit of a departure and moves from the rehab ranch of the same name in Texas to the big Yankee city of New York. There, broken hearted Fate Buchanan tries to put her shattered life back together as she starts her new job at Maxwell Medical. She didn't expect the newly appointed CFO to be the man who divested her of the one thing she was saving for her cheating ex on the night her life broke apart or for the sparks between them to nearly burn the office building down. Fate has to decide if her heart can take a second chance at falling in love.

Dean Maxwell is now on my book boyfriend list. The self professed playboy was not match for fate or Fate when her met her that night on the beach. So instead of being the calm, cool ladies man he thought he was, he turned into this alpha cave man who would love nothing more than dragging his woman around by her hair as a sign that all other guys should back off. Dean struggled with these feelings, because he thought he wasn't that guy. But the more time he spent with Fate, the more that alpha man came out and demanded he get his woman.

Both Dean and Fate make some big mistakes in their burgeoning relationship, but they are both easy to forgive and talk through their issues. The essence of these characters makes it truly hard not to fall in love with them. I was pulling for them, from the very beginning, wanting them both to get out of their own way to admit how they feel. It may take them a little bit to understand what they feel and one big demonstration of love from Dean, but this couple finally got it right, making this an absolute joy to read.

If you haven't had the opportunity to read Casiey Quinn before, definitely consider this book. Despite being the second book in the series, this is a stand alone book and one hell of a way for you to be introduced to Caisey Quinn and her fabulous stories.

I would have to say that I was a bit disappointed, but not with the whole story. I enjoyed 'Falling For You' a lot, so I really wanted to know what would happen to Dean and Fate's lives. I eagerly jumped into this book, and as the story went on, I found myself holding my breath several times while reading this one. It wasn't because of the excitement or anything, but it was just because I was so afraid things might go downhill from any parts of the story.

I was repeatedly frustrated with Dean and Fate about their back and forth relationship, something like “I can’t be with you but I can’t live without you”! Urgh!

Fortunately, both of them finally came to their senses. They never knew they saved me from banging my head against the wall.

In the epilogue, when Fate followed the last sign that Dean had left into the bedroom, where he was there holding a framed note said... ...Oh! I felt like a million pink bubbles were floating in the air. It was a very sweet and beautiful HEA that almost brought me to tears. So, that was the reason why I ended up giving this book 4 stars instead of 3.

I just finished this book at 2AM because I just couldn't stop! I even put my kindle down to try and sleep but that was so obviously not happening! This book is a little different pace than Caisey's other books and I could not let it go. And the steam factor is WOW. Dean will melt your heart and Fate will make you proud to be a woman. These characters were so well done and I loved every minute of it! So creative, sweet and sexy. This is definitely one my favorite reads.

This is by far my favorite book in the Second Chance series, and as Caisey’s books go, this ranks up there pretty high. Everything from the flow of the storyline to the development of the AWESOME characters kept me flipping page after page. I really loved this book!

Fate is a young woman about to embark on this crazy thing called life with her shiny new husband at her side. That’s when the record scratches and the whole song is ruined! She walks in on her groom-to-be and her maid of not-so-honor doing the dirty on the night of her rehearsal dinner, and this obviously puts Fate in to a tailspin which in turn throws her right into the arms of Dean hot-ass-hell Maxwell.

Dean Maxwell is hot, rich, and in charge of a huge mutli-billion dollar company. He’s just hanging out with friends at his beach house when he see’s her.

“For an instant, he wondered if she might be one of those mythical creatures that devoured men.”

This pretty much sums up what Dean thought about Fate that night, she was there, and she was his for a moment. To him it was hot and beautiful and almost forbidden under the circumstances. It was quick and primal and before he knew it she was gone. This somewhat crippled Dean, he turned into a man on a mission to find this woman who floated in to his night and disappeared just as quickly as she entered it.

“I need to feel something,” “Something good. Something to make me forget.”

Fast Forward a little bit…it turns out that Fate’s new job is at the same multi-billion dollar company that Dean is in charge of, or is about to be in charge of. And when these two first realize this is when all the sparks and angst and fun, and drama (for me) begins! Dean and Fate don’t have your typical push and pull thing going on like so many other book couples do. Their battles with each other seem to be different in some way. There is obviously the no fraternizing with co-workers rule which everyone always seems to break anyways right? This is actually a big problem for Dean considering that his father is in charge of handing the company over to him. But that isn’t Dean’s only problem.

Every time Fate feels like she might be getting closer to Dean he pulls away, or runs away. Fate doesn’t really put up with this crap! In typical Caisey Quinn fasion, she wrote another very strong female MC. Fate knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to voice her opinions to Dean or anyone else for that matter. I love a strong non-whiney woman and Fate is exactly that.

She has some help along the way with the introduction of Gwen. Gwen is her new co-worker who quickly becomes her new best friend and I loooovvved her!!! Keaton is also a character that I loved, he’s Dean’s best friend and he just happened to be there that night when Dean’s mystical mermaid appeared out of the darkness. Keaton is seriously one of my most favorite secondary characters ever, he’s so funny and charming in his own crazy way. Keaton and Gwen have a cute little thing that develops as well and they honestly were so perfect in this story.

I just love when a book falls in to my lap and I don’t know what’s in store for me. This book was a perfect match for me and I’m pretty sure it will do the same for everyone else. It was sweet, and sexy and HOT!! Oh my how could I forget to mention that?? It’s HOT and Dean has quite the dirty mouth on him! Caisey really steams it up in this book and it’s sooooooo good! This book left me breathless in the best way, it’s about Fate finding herself and believing that good things exist and actually sustain. And for Dean he realizes that becoming a real man, that doesn’t run from his issues isn’t all that bad. Both of these characters have to face their fears in a different way, and how they do that is just so real and perfect.

“I felt it the moment I saw you. A compulsion like I’d never felt before, as if some unseen force propelled me toward you without my consent. I’ve felt it ever since.”

“Don’t leave me. Don’t run this time and I won’t either.”

Y'all, I have a new favorite Caisey Quinn book and it's called Falling for Fate. I really enjoyed Last Second Chance, the first book in her standalone Second Chance series, and was ridiculously excited to get my hands on Falling for Fate before it was released. I cracked it open and read it cover-to-cover (or the eBook version of this, anyhow) in one sitting. Falling for Fate is the type of book that grabs onto you in the first few pages and refuses to let go until it's over... and even once it's over, you can't help but want more of the characters and their story. Oh, and did I mention this version of Falling for Fate also has a bonus prequel novella, Falling for You, included? Oh, it's fantastic.

Falling for Fate is the story of Fate and Dean. Fate is engaged to a guy who is a real jerk-wad (totally cleaning up my language here). It doesn't take long before we – and Fate – learn just how big of a jerk he is when Fate finds him screwing her "best friend" (I use quotations because, well, that's not something a friend would do to another) the night before their wedding. She runs off, bent on doing something so NOT HER and when Dean finds her on the beach, she decides he is the perfect person to take away her pain and help her forget. While their encounter was hot and passionate, she flees and leaves him with only the memory of her. Playboy Dean isn't ready to give her up, however, but since they didn't exchange numbers – or names for that matter – he doesn't have a lot to go on while looking for her. That is, until he runs into her again in New York City months later... where she works for the same company as he does.

There was so much to love about this book. The characters, however, are what drew me in to begin with. For a woman who had gone through some really tough things lately – checking her mom into rehab and finding out the life she thought she lived and the people she thought loved her – she didn't let it break her. Was the path she chose the healthiest thing ever? Probably not. But, it did put her in the path of something great. Fate was strong and funny and just plain likable. Dean had been burned in the past, so he was cautious with his heart. He was smoking hot and a really good guy. I liked how he helped Fate with the situation with her mom and how it was extended to other employees facing the same type of issues. I'm a sucker for a good second chance story and I LOVE reading about "forbidden" love. So, yeah, this book was right up my alley.

Fate and Dean were so freaking good together. I loved their banter and their emails. It was obvious they were meant to be so much more than a casual fling. They were passionate and holy hell their sexy times were steamy. I felt all of their emotions and was with them through the ups and the downs. I may have even shed a tear or three (hundred). I'm an emotional reader and I love how Caisey's writing brings out all the feels for me. I always wind up completely in love with her characters and hate to give them up when the book is over. Falling for Fate is absolutely no exception. I'll definitely be due for a re-read of this one in a few months.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

OMG. I've fallen in love with Caisey Quinn even more. I've read her Kylie Ryans Series and LOVED it. She knows how to make you all goo eyed for her heroine. If you are looking for a second chance at love and a comedy romance, this is the book for you. This is book two in the Second Chance series, but could be read as a standalone.

 photo fatetsr1_zps158b1459.jpg

Fate is engaged to a one rich bastard named Trevor. They have both been together a few years. He's bossy and cocky. Fate wants to save her innocence until her wedding night. Since that is the case, they always end up arguing about sex. All she wants is for it to be special. It's not something she can just give up. Her father died when she was very young and her mother just wasted away after her father passed. Now that her mother is in rehab, she has to work two jobs to be able to pay for it.

 photo tsrFate_zpsb574deb5.jpg

Dean is next in line as a CEO of his family's business. He's the type that doesn't do commitments. More like, hit it and quit it, kind of thing. He's scared of commitment because of all the drama that goes with it. BUT everything changes when he meets the only woman that could put a stop into his carelessness. Only problem is that she disappeared out of thin air after their intimate experience with each other. Probably the only time he's ever made love, ever. She's caught his attention and had driven him crazy since she was no where to be found.

 photo FallingFateTsr3_zpsf6df5978.jpg

Fate and Dean crosses path the second time and oh my word, it was HOT! When Dean realizes who she was, he could not stop fantasizing about her. He might as well pee around her to mark his territory when she becomes an employee of Dean's family business. He's been nothing but a caveman and all hot for her. Even if they both tried to deny this sizzling attraction they have for each other, everyone around them sees it. The only problem is that it's supposed to be just sort of a closure since they never finished what they started when Fate took off on Dean. BUT what will you do with a love, passion and longing you both feel for each other? Will Dean and Fate give in to being more together? Or will they both walk away while denying what they both truly feel? You will have to read this book. I highly recommend it! Caisey I've told you this before, but I'm going to say it again. I fell in love with Dean and Fate after reading their story. BUT I fell in love with DEAN, HARDER!

It’s always exciting to dive into another addicting read from Caisey Quinn, because I know without a doubt I’ll be hooked for the duration and will devour every word! Falling for Fate is no exception, bringing us a heartbroken heroine and her knight in shining armor as their paths criss-cross into the world of corporate meetings, misunderstood lust, and denial about what their hearts truly want and need.

Fate was at her absolute lowest the day she literally ran into Dean’s life. Her fiancé threw their four years together out the window when he did the unthinkable, and Fate was ready to just let go. Dean was the ultimate mix of tender hero and unbridled sex god as he gave Fate exactly what she needed to forget that her life was imploding, and the chemistry between them was incredible. I just knew that if they were THAT good before they even had any emotional attachments, this was guaranteed to be another crazy sexy Quinn story!!

Dean was one of those guys who’s just in a state of denial; even after months of searching, with no sign of the woman who took his breath away that night, he still was trying to convince himself that it meant nothing more than a conquest he hadn’t completed. So when she came back into his life at the one place only a cruel twist of irony would lead her, there wasn’t much that would have stopped Dean from getting what he wanted. With Fate’s recent heartache looming overhead, she was nowhere near ready to just dive into any new relationship anyway, so you’d think it would be the perfect setup for a friends with benefits situation…if only they were in a position to act on it. But with Dean determined to get this woman out of his system and Fate helpless to the temptation that was Dean ...well, one can only resist for so long!! He was smoking hot regardless, but some of the stolen moments between these two, and the scenes where they full-on give in to their attraction despite the odds…WOW they were steaming up the room!!

With the perfect blend of angst, pangs of jealousy, unstoppable lust, and pain from life’s cruel realities that slowly bring Dean and Fate into the emotional side of their attraction, I couldn’t put this book down once I started! Another enthusiastic thumbs up for Caisey Quinn with this latest release, a must-read for 2014!

Caisey Quinn writes romances that make you fall in love with characters before they even fall for each other. She takes you inside of their minds and hearts and slowly captivates you and seduces you with their dreams and struggles. You fight with them and for them.
This is that type of story.

This was a very sexy and passionate romance.

What do you do when your whole world crumbles in front of your eyes the day before your wedding day of all days?

This is what Fate faced and had to fight through and it broke my heart. She had saved herself for this man who she thought she could trust and he betrayed her with a person she would have never suspected. But Fate is tired to being perfect and wants to forget and most of all wants to feel.

Running down the beach is a women that captures Dean’s sight and his heart in one moment in time. His soul leads him to where she is and an this changes their life forever.

I was floored by Dean from the start. He was captivated by Fate and had stopped the bed hopping and meaningless hookups that he was used to. He hadn't stopped thinking about Fate since they had their night together and he was searching for her without even a name to go by. Then the real FATE or serendipity steps in and throws these two together in a very precarious situation with Dean being one of Fate’s bosses. The attraction will not let them out of it’s grasp and they can’t fight the feelings inside. I was a little frustrated at Dean’s back and forth and “can’t make up his mind” internal battle. But in all fairness he was put in a very unfortunate position with his life’s goal on the line. When Dean needed to “man up” it all worked out and I was so happy with the sweetest ending ever.

I can’t wait to read the next sweet sexy romance from this author.

Longer review to come!

Caisey Quinn has become one of my very favorite authors. If she writes it, I read it. And I love it. She's never let me down yet-- in fact, she gets better and better with each book. And Falling for Fate is another book to add to this list of amazing books. I don't know how she does it, but I'm glad she does! DEAN is definitely a new top book boyfriend!

While these two had great physical chemistry from the start, their personal connection was just too all over the place for me. They'd both acted so obtuse about some things that it made this frustrating to read because they were always yo-yoing. As a result, it seemed excessively long. Plus some of the things Dean said that were supposed to be "sexy" came across as extremely icky to me.

The second book in the Second Chance series came as a bit of a surprise to me, as I thought it would also revolve around the Second Chance Ranch facility we were introduced to in the first book in the series Last Second Chance. While the ranch is mentioned a few times, it wasn't by any means the focal point of the novel. Instead, we are transported from Texas to New York City and we trade the spurs and horses for boardrooms and sexy CEO's in training.

The book actually starts with a novella, Falling For You, which I really enjoyed, despite the heartache our main character Fate endures. I liked Fate as a character, but I was confused as to why she was getting married, when it was pretty clear she wasn't over the moon happy like one would expect an engaged woman to be. Trevor is a complete jerk and I didn't like how condescending and how he would push her for sex, when she was clearly not ready for it. He just didn't respect Fate and that really drove me nuts, as she doesn't deserve to be treated that way. After the bottom falls out from beneath her, Fate throws caution to the wind and engages in one seriously hot night with an unnamed stranger on the beach.

I really enjoyed our stranger on the beach. He was compassionate and caring and didn't want to see this woman hurting. We get a hint that he is probably a playboy type, but he was exactly what Fate needed to prove to herself that she was desired and wanted and her ex-fiancé is an idiot.

However, fear sent Fate running from the delicious stranger and now after a summer of searching for her and not being able to get her out of his head, he finally finds her again.

You would think after a summer of searching for this girl and abstaining from sexual conquests with other women, our sexy stranger wouldn't be as hot and cold as he is with her when they finally reconnect. This drove me crazy and it didn't fit with the Dean I met in the novella at all. I actually could not stand his character. Sure, he has his moments, but I thought he wasn't that much better than her ex, Trevor. He doesn't know Fate's history, as she has not divulged that to him, but his constant rejection of her really angered me. I get that he's at war with himself, as he is dealing with an intercompany no dating policy, as well as taking over as CEO for his very overbearing father. That doesn't excuse him from constantly being the one to pull away, especially after she is willing to trust him. I feel like the black sheep, as Dean Maxwell did not make my insides melt to goo or fall on the floor swooning. It bothered me that he would spend so much effort on Fate, only to tell her he doesn't do relationships and that he just wants to get her out of his system. Once he realizes that isn't the case, he wants her to know he's available to meet her needs as much as she wants. Translation: they can be fuck buddies. He was just too back and forth for me and I couldn't get past the duality of his character, as I thought his character was going to go in a completely different direction that it did.

The miscommunication and fighting between Fate and Dean was also a problem for me. They are both attracted to one another, but when they first meet back up, Fate is quick to strike and be on the defensive, which leads Dean to do the same. This ends up happening several times to the point where I was over it and didn't even want them to be together. In fact, I was rooting for their friends Keaton and Gwen more than I was them. Keaton can call Dean whipped all he wants, but at least he doesn't run from the fact that he is falling for Fate's friend and co-worker. These two are actually very level-headed and I really enjoyed them together and wanted more of them and their cuteness.

Caisey Quinn is an extremely talented writer and I really did enjoy the storyline, despite my issues with Dean's duality. I love forbidden office romances and she certainly knows her way around a sexy, steamy scene. I do like this book had forgiveness and redemption as major themes, and not just with Dean. Dean and his father have a strained, informal relationship so to see some clarity as to why things were that way and how they may change was really a plus.

Overall, while this wasn't my favorite of Quinn's novels due to some issues with characterization, I do think Falling for Fate, will be enjoyed by New Adult fans, as the story of forbidden love set in corporate America itself is always a fun one to read.

Hot and steamy with an awesome epilogue to finish off this sexy office romance story!!

REVIEW:
The story:
Imagine walking in on your fiancé and your best friend cheating…the night before your wedding? Well that's what happened to Faith. Shattered she takes off and lands in the arms of a handsome stranger, desperate to forget her broken heart if only for a few hours. Fast forward a few months later and Faith is starting a new job, eager to start a new chapter in her life. But coming face to face with her new boss Dean, only to learn it's her handsome stranger from the beach throws her life into further complication.

Both Faith and Dean fell the strong pull of attraction between them, but the company's no intra office dating policy makes it impossibly for anything to happen..or does it?? Faith doesn't want to fall for another man, only to have her heart broken again, and Dean is determined not to turn into his womanising father. But the connection between them is evident to everyone around them and it's not long before no longer deny their forbidden attraction.

The characters:
Dean is a simple character in many ways, he's not a rockstar or some tatted up bad boy. He's a hardworking career man with a kind heart, and that is exactly why I loved him.

I really liked Faith, she was timid and a little bid of a push over when we first met her when she was with her ex-fiancé. She let him push her around and I felt like she was never truly herself. But once she steps out on her own and starts taking control of her life we get to see the real Faith, who is strong and confident and knows she deserves to be treated with respect - I absolutely loved that she wasn't willing to be treated poorly ever again!

Side characters Keaton & Gwen were awesome! They both had some of the best lines in the book. My favourite being from Keaton:

“You would be the lucky bastard that got to f**k a supermodel virgin mermaid. I swear, all the good stuff happens to you.” ~Keaton

The romance:
The steam factor in this book is off the charts! Who doesn't love a good old forbidden office romance?! The chemistry is there from the very beginning and the tension between them builds and builds until I was screaming at them to just give in and admit their damn feelings!!

The Writing:
I loved how Caisey made this stroyline so believable. I felt the connection between he characters and was hanging on every word they said. I also have to admit I've never read a 'back-door' scene without either cringing or giggling, but this one was actually written tastefully.

FINAL WORD:
Hot and steamy with an awesome epilogue to finish off this sexy office romance story!!

CONTENT:
Sexuality: strong / several descriptive sex scenes, including 'back-door'
Violence: none
Language: medium / some f words etc
Drugs & alcohol: mild

Complimentary copy received in exchange for an honest review.

I adore Caisey, especially her Keep Me Still books so I was happy to dive into a new series from her. Falling for Fate is book two in a series, however it truly can stand alone.

Dean and Fate have a very 'fateful' encounter one night after Fate discovers her fiancée has been cheating on her with her best friend. Her whole life, she's tried to do the right thing including saving herself for marriage and now she finds all of her previous efforts thrown in her face.

Fate is alone and devastated with no family, friends or money. The prospect of moving to a strange city to a new job is her only option. Especially if she wants to help with her mother's medical bills.

Dean is a love em' and leave em' kind of guy but after one steamy night with a mystery girl, he can't forget about her. Luckily for him, 'fate' brings them back together but not in the best of circumstances. Fate is now Dean's employee and his father's company has a very strict no dating policy.

I won't elaborate more on the storyline because you need to read it for yourself but there were a lot of positives about this book. Dean is super sexy and while Fate is a bit awkward at times, ultimately she is a good heroine and a great person. The sex scenes are pretty steamy but don't overtake the plot. I also really enjoyed the side characters and the witty banter between Dean and his best friend.

A few times, I felt the story drag a bit and some of the writing style was occasionally awkward. But those things in no way affected my ability to read or enjoy this story. Overall, this is a sweet romance and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a light, sexy read.

This is my first time reading anything by Caisey Quinn and what a read it was. I adored this book for several reasons including the likable characters, the windy plot and the happy ending coming in an unexpected way. Fate Buchanan was doing everything the "right" way, holding onto her virtue until she was married, graduating college, and having a job secured before getting married, yet life still hands her a bad hand. Her fiance has been cheating on her for over a year with her best friend, and maid of honor, to which she discovers the day before the wedding on accident. That isn't the only curve ball tossed at this hardworking woman, no, of course not. Fate's mother struggles with alcohol addiction and finally takes a turn for the worst and needs to be admitted into a rehabilitation facility. Everything caves in on our heroine at once and she takes off from the wedding venue, in the Hamptons, and runs down the beach in search of a way to escape.

Her escape comes in the form of incredible hot, sensual and wealthy Dean Maxwell. Dean notices Fate running down the beach past his condo and feels a pull so he goes after her. After getting her out of the water, he ends up taking her virtue on the beach. He goes to the house and comes back to find her gone. Fate might not realize it until after she's begun her new position in marketing but Dean Maxwell, her beach lover, hasn't forgotten about her and he intends to collect his due from her. I loved the story, the twist and turns and of course the sex. Quinn is a talented writer who takes you on a ride you will be sad to see end at the end of the book.

This book is a little different from what Caisey usually writes but it's just as good!

This book ran me through so many emotions. I was pissed, turned on, sad, and then repeat. Also I laughed my ass off at times as well.

"Tell me what you need. Tell me what's wrong. Just...tell me something." ... "I need to feel something," she whispered. "Something good. Something to make me forget."

Fate was engaged to douchebag, I mean Trevor, until she caught him balls deep in her best friend. So she does what she should have done as long time ago, she dumps him. I really loved Fate's character. She was strong when she needed to be and I loved her for it! An she actually handled things a lot better than I think I would have!

Dean Maxwell has been searching for the girl he can't get out of his head what he didn't expect is to find her at his business. I have to say I loved Dean. He was sweet and sexy all at the right times. He was alpha but not to the point where you wanted to smack him and his mouth, oh sweet baby jesus, the man dirty talks just enough to get you hot. In his case less is more when it comes to words. I'm pretty sure he could talk me into anything!

"I want to fill you,Fate. I want to fuck you and fill you and fucking claim you."

This is one of those books you never want to finish. It's that good. I can't say enough about Dean and Fate! They were off the charts together and Dean is a top book boyfriend!

Caisey what you do to me!! Caisey has this way of writing that pulls the feels right out of me, even when I don't want it to. She writes these exceptional love stories that you can't help but get sucked into. A don't put it down, up all night type of read.

Fate. What do I have to say for this girl. She started off so meek, mousey, quiet, a pushover. Then a cold heartbreaking truth literally smacks her in the face. Trevor. A fiancé. Melissa. A best friend. Dean. A chance encounter. What do you do when the people you love hurt you the most? You stumble into the most exceptionally amazing man you can find, on accident. Everything Fate thought she knew about herself was gone, changing...And she evolved. Gracefully. Wonderfully. She became a new person, the person she was supposed to be, with the person she was supposed to be with. But but!! There are some mountains in the way. Some are erected personally, some professionally, some emotionally or mentally. The fight these two go through is nerve wracking. First you think one will give up, then the other, nope the other. You're left screaming why??? Stop???? Just be together? It's amazing what open communication does for the love birds but it's also amazing how much of an impact our parents have on our relationships.

Caisey did it again. She delivers another wonderful love story. A story that makes you fall in love with love.

When Fate’s life is flipped completely upside down, she runs. By running, I mean she takes off down the beach and asks for a sign. She’s met by a man that makes her forget, but then she runs… again! This is the first time she’s every done anything so irrational in her life, but in doing so she frees herself. What she doesn’t bargain for is to come face to face with the man she gave everything to on the beach.

With their careers on the line, they try their best to stay away from each other, but Dean is consumed by Fate. He’s never felt this way for a woman, and when he tries to distance himself the bond only grows stronger.

This story is one of hurt, love, forgiveness, and moving forward. It’s also about giving your heart away when it’s been shattered to pieces. Falling for Fate is a novel that will make you fall for the characters, but will have you pulling for them to find true love!

I love Dean who cares if he's not a rock star or a bad ass! He's got and angsty lost boy quality all girls love to hate. And Fate's name is too perfect it's was truly fate that had a hand in naming her. I loved this book and powered through it while working my butt off.
