After Brock's much dreaded meeting, with the Archangel, Michael, major changes are going to take place. New teams will be established and old one revamped. He has been tasked with breaking the news and overseeing these changes to Watchers all around the world.
In addition, there are some loose ends that need to be tied-up from their encounter with their latest enemy. Undoubtedly these loose ends will set off a whole new set of problems.
But neither of those can come to pass, until all the resentment and bad feelings have been resolved amongst his 'human' family members.
After he and his crew finally clear out his belongings from the New Jersey Castle, SEPARATE VACATIONS is just what the doctor ordered. Hopefully, absence will make their hearts grow fonder. Not to mention, rekindle the fire that has gone out in several of his team member's relationships with their 'spirit' mates.
India, China, Africa, Hawaii, Cancun, Jamaica, his private Island and Disney World are just a few of the romantic places the couples will visit.
But no one will be prepared for the devastating and unexpected revelations and surprises that will be revealed.
Will these revelations bring this family back together? Or tear it apart at the seams?
EJ Brock, is a passionate writer of Paranormal Romance. Her books entwines in the 'spiritual' and the 'carnal'. As she weaves her way through this series she continues combines flawed humans with God's grace.
In book 12 all the couples and families go on a much needed break to heal their relationships and take a break from each other.
Poor old Symphony gets another ass whipping and Henry was the one preaching the sermon this time!! Lord knows I am feeling some empathy for that girl now. Ms Eva decided to preach Grace in this book and I got such a shock about one of the Mates you will need the grace of God to accept this Mate. More family revelations are revealed as well as a new pregnancy and more weddings.
This is such a great series but I am getting in trouble now because I am neglecting everything and everybody to read this series. Absolutely loving it!
This was a hard book (not meaning that it wasn't an excellent story because it most definitely is). This story deal with the underlying and oftentimes forgotten residue that lingers in our heart. It deals with when you are so far off to the left that reality is not clear and it has been distorted. It deals with finally coming to grips with what we have within and without, it deals with everyone "Coming to Jesus Moment". It deals with finally being free from the grip of satan whom is our enemy.
All the watchers finally get to have some vacation time with their mates, so everyone goes off to finally have a honeymoon with their children coming along LOL!! It was nice to see because the past books have dealt with serious battles from the demons so it was nice to have a reprieve where each person can go off and relax with their family. We get to see each Watcher romancing and dancing with their loves, I get to see my favorites Chaz, Batman and Akibee (yes I have favorites LOL!!).
We see Symphony really have a breakdown and a real "Come to Jesus" moment. From the last book we watched her act a fool not only to her mate Ramiel but her ace Lillian (Lord give me strength with that chick) really get read the riot acts which they both needed. Symphony surprised me but you know what she was definitely someone living in a distorted reality and for those whom have already read the series up to that point or even finished you will understand what I am talking about.
The real kicker came when the "Master (God Almighty)" locked everyone in the room, took the children and made everyone release all of the residue within their hearts and souls. This is where I cried so hard (there is a moment) where I couldn't even see my Kindle. It was one of those reads that sliced straight through you bone to the marrow and you are just left exposed and raw. Everyone needed that to come about because there were only a few people in that room where it didn't apply but for the majority of the people it was a stripping, humbling and a true brokenness that needed to take place. It is a lesson for each of us to move forward and walk in all that "The Lord Has For Us".
I was also say that this is a book that will not leave my psyche for a very long time, that is when you know a book has been written to leave you feeling that way. An excellent writer stays true to their writing even when it hits you square between the eyes like a bulls eye.
The next book up is "YOMIEL This is My Story (A "Spirit" Mate Love Story Book 13)" and I am looking forward to reading it.
I really enjoyed this novel. It was good to experience each couple alone and dealing with issues, rediscovering each other and ironing out the family differences amongst each of them. New family members are introduced and to discover the secret surrounding Dee was a great shock! Found some errors with words but overall a very good read. I will be reading book#13 next. Keep up the good work EJ Brock!
I loved this book...Their vacation destinations were so elegantly written I could actually see them. The Romance was precious and inspiring. The revelations of the families heartwrenching. The prospect of a new tomorrow enlightening. Great Read.
Talk about a forgiving family. This is one for the records. I'm not sure I would be able to forgive some of the things this family has. God really is up to something with the entire Walker family.
It was fun to visually travel with the Watchers, Humans and their Spirit Mates in EJ Brock’s Separate Vacations. This book was about love, renewal, and trust. More weddings take place and lessons in humility are learned. This series is amazing.
No surprise, another good book by Ms. Brock! Enjoyed the many different stories in this book. Sometimes you need a break from the ones you live with. Especially, in that crowded mansion. I enjoy the humor that is added along with the spiritual aspects. A couple of surprises or should we say, set ups put into light. I enjoy a story that can give you that, laughing out loud, moments.
I enjoyed the stories of all the couples finally getting a chance to relax and go on vacation. It also was a refreshing reminder of the power of forgiveness and that we all have something for which we need to be forgiven. I love how Ms. Brock sprinkles wisdom into her stories along with the biblical references. She provides me with some non-guilty escape and a smile with each story I read.
It's amazing how these books keep getting better and better. I never excepted all those secrets to be unveiled and I never knew what they were. Wowwwww when Henry tears into someone there is no holding him back. Onto book 13
