Yomiel is the thirty-first son of the infamous Fallen Angel, Samjaza. For almost five thousand years, he thought he was a demon, like his father; and his twenty-nine other demon brothers. For no apparent reason, his demon brothers hated and tortured him during all of his youth. In addition, his oldest brother, Brock, is an Elite Warrior for the Archangel, Michael. He too wanted Yomiel dead. Yomiel didn’t want to be a demon and spent his life on the run from his destiny. ~ Three and a half years ago he found out he was not a demon, but an Ultimate WATCHER, like his oldest brother, Brock. ~ He has spent the last three and a half years training, under the tutelage of his brother’s team of Watchers. Now he has been promoted and given his own team. He has also been charged with taking over his brother’s old territory. ~ Will he be able to protect the family as well as Brock has? Will they trust him? Will demons try and overthrow him? What lies ahead? This is Yomiel’s compelling story.
EJ Brock, is a passionate writer of Paranormal Romance. Her books entwines in the 'spiritual' and the 'carnal'. As she weaves her way through this series she continues combines flawed humans with God's grace.
My review is late (I do apologize for that). Yomiel's story is excellent, you get a back drop in his own words of what happened to him. It was very devastating and you see him all across history with Jesus Christ at the foot of the cross to President Abraham Lincoln. This was so fascinating because Yomiel always ran first from his demon brothers, then from Brock (Seraphiel) and then from the Archangel Michael. He was alone for so long, that it amazes me that he is so comfortable around so many people. But then again that is what he has always wanted, was to be loved, have a family and friends and he has been blessed abundantly.
Yomiel is an Ultimate Watcher too and after being under Brock for 3 years, the Archangel Michael has given him his own team and much to Brock's relief Yomiel and Akibeel will still be living with him at the estate. Brock does not want to be separated from his brothers that's for sure LOL!! Yomiel has a great team and they work together and flow like water, nothing and nobody is out of sync.
Brock and his team will no longer be on the front lines (so to speak) they have been tasked by the Archangel Michael to train the other watchers and their teams all over the world. New teams have been formed, and you will see deliverance come to some wayward Watchers who were on their way to hell, you will see Akibeel and Ram come through on this scene, it was incredibly powerful to read.
The funny part was the paint ball war LOLLL!!! It was the Watchers against their human family but the Archangel Michael thought he would even up the score by taking away the Watchers abilities. Now you want to talk about hysterically funny, I was on the floor rolling LOLLL!!!
Hania aka Lightwings has been made into a Watcher and has his own team now (the way wards who were delivered from being thrust into hell). Hania is a widower but she wasn't his spirit mate (well surprise, surprise) I was shocked as the dickens and then to find out his spirit mate was married to someone else as well and she is a widow (it makes me pray even harder that I will not marry the wrong man but the one that God has for me). Interestingly enough Hania doesn't want a spirit mate in the beginning, he was very happy with his secret liaisons. But he can no longer deny the inevitable and it is a sweet homecoming that he now understands.
But Lightwings stepped out of order, to say I was completed disappointed in him is a big understatement. His actions set off a change of events that has completely changed the landscape and dynamics of the Watchers and the humans. I was completely angry and wanted nothing to do with the human family anymore I am so over them (Not all of them Praise God) but the bulk of the lot oh yes I am done. Then someone in the family had to step in and change things but the grief will still remain with a few because the rest of the family won't remember. It is a hard pill to swallow and it is definitely a real lesson for each of us, the power of forgiveness (completely), the power to forget and let go can "Only Be Accomplished by God Almighty", in your own strength it is a futile effort.
Yomiel's story is definitely a lesson of forgiveness and repentance. The book up is "Adam - Beginnings and Revelations (A "Spirit" Mate Love Story Book 14)" which I will be diving into starting tomorrow Woot! Woot!
OMG Lightwings was sooooo out of order. He deserved the tongue lashing of the Walker Nephews for real. Senior or not he was bang out of order!!!! When will those Walker Seniors learn too! We need to remember the good that people do in our lives. I never forget a kindness anyone does for me. These folks forgot!!!!
Lord have mercy will I be able to resist going right to book 14. I will read Adams's story and then take a break or else I will finish this series by next week! Lets see if I can do it! :)
Still loving the series as you can tell I have read 10 books in the series literally back to back. They are still cracking me up with their humour but there are some real intense moments in every book, which will bring tears to your eyes.
Finally I get to read Yomiel or Doc’s (as he is affectionally called) story. Brock has given Doc, his brother and Ultimate Watcher his own team. There are more decision to be made and the family faces another breakdown within the tight knit circle. Trust is broken. Will the Humans and Watchers recover from this?
Although Yomiel or Doc as he's known to some is Brock's younger brother, It's time for this "Ultimate Watcher" to come into his own and have his own team. I'm enjoying this series so much, I wish this family was real.
I really enjoyed this book. It is nice to have the back story on a prominent character, written from that Character's viewpoint. I love how all her stories relate to each of the characters in some fashion and the author never gets off track. She keeps each story true to the others never missing a detail. It is best to read them in order but the stories are so well written that you could read them out of order and still understand the story as it progresses. There are always new character's with new stories to be told. You feel a personal connection to her characters, they seem so real. When you finish a book you have a sense of well being that is hard to describe.
Another great book! No surprise. Every time I get into one of these stories, I wonder how much can they put up with these special people?! Because they get on my nerves. Especially, the women! Poor Brock. This one actually got better towards the end! This was an enjoyable read. Oh yeah, mind sex! Lol!
I really enjoyed Yomiel's story and the finding of his spirit mate! I love the spiritual aspects of all of EJ Brock's books, she really applies the word in the stories and I look forward to the next book. Some grammatical errors along the way, hence the 4 star rating but overall a great novel!
Hania aka E-du-di,”....really I'm sooooo disappointed.... Walker Brothers.... more disappointed.... Kibee.... so overjoyed at your growth and intuition.. but mostly your compassion and benevolence..... Wow these books are amazing!!!
The author of these books is anointed to do what she is doing. NEVA have I ever been so dean and connected to characters. I feel the presence of God through out this series! I’m in Love!!!!!
Talk about drama. From battling demons to rogue Watchers to family. This one right here will have you all in your feelings. Love that this one comes from Yomiel's point of view.
