Forget ghosts who rattle chains, try living with ones that like to grope.
Desperate for change, Jenna buys a repossessed home on a whim. The townsfolk claim it’s haunted, but Jenna’s pretty sure all it needs is some TLC to stop the drafts. It doesn’t take long before she realizes there’s more going on than the vagaries of an old house. Something, or someone, is playing poltergeist with her house, and whatever it is keeps stroking her with ghostly fingers and haunting her dreams.
Derrick and Mark learned the hard way not to piss off a witch. But in their defense, as cocky werewolves, they weren’t used to anything actually defying them. Unable to ask for help, they’re forced to haunt their own home, which turns out to be less boring than expected when their fated mate suddenly becomes the new owner. Disembodied or not, they end up taking haunting to a whole new erotic level.
Please note, A Ghostly Menage was originally published by Cobblestone Press from October of 2010, until May 8th of 2014. Published anew in late May of 2014 by Eve Langlais, this book has been expanded from its original version of 17.5K to 27k and features a new cover and, a new price. I hope you enjoy this newer version.
Hello, my name is Eve Langlais and I am an International Bestselling author who loves to write hot romance, usually with werewolves, cyborgs or aliens .
I should warn you, I have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. While well known for my shifter stories, I am also extremely partial to aliens, the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane...with pleasure. Or do you like something a little darker, more serious? Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.
A Ghostly Menage is by Eve Langlais. I have been looking for sexy Halloween books and this was the perfect addition.
Jenna Fairbanks has had it. She escaped a cheating ex and is ready for small town life where no one bothers you and life is simple. All she wants is peace and quiet. So on impulse, she buys an old home in a small town called Twin Dales. The house has supposedly sat empty for six years.
After arriving she falls in love with the house and knows instantly which bedroom is hers. She starts noticing things, though, like an icy caress or things moving on their own. She also has been experiencing some very erotic dreams. As she starts to dig, she find out the house does have some very interesting, very strange history.
Mark and Derrick Wolfgang are or were wolf shifters. They loved to shift and run in the woods at night. The town witch, Clarissa, wants them. A union with them would be the boost she needs to be a powerful witch. But they are not interested at all. So Clarissa spells them into limbo. They live as ghosts within the house. They can’t leave, they can’t shift. They aren’t dead, just in limbo.
As soon as Jenna arrives in the house, they know that she is their mate. She is the one they have been waiting for. But there is nothing they can do about it. She can’t see them. And what will Clarissa do when she finds out? Is Jenna in danger?
This is a very short and oh so sexy ménage that I just loved. These two brothers are sexy as sin. Will they find a way to communicate with Jenna? Will they get to claim their mate? Will she even accept them? What a perfect time of year to find out the answers and more.
A sexy and witty story! I have been enjoying reading short novellas during the weekends, its quick enough that I still have time to do things I need to on the weekends. This book has a good connection between the h/h along with a storyline and some sizzling sex, I was on happy street. This is paranormal romance with m/f/m and back door action and the heroin is a little on the plus size, so that equals all of my favorites. I had so much fun reading this story.
I loved the Halloween addition to the story along with the villain witch. The two sexy hero werewolves and heroine just made my day. The book description says enough, I will add this is a quick set up between the hero’s and heroine, but I just keep in mind this is fiction and as long as I am having fun and enjoying reading it hey, I’m not going to complain one bit. I recommend this to erotic and paranormal romance readers.
A Ghostly Ménage was just another exhibit of Eve Langlais’ fantastic writing.
Jenna wants to get away. From the city, from her cheating boyfriend, and from her two “best friends” who slept with him. On a whim she buys a house in a town with a population of nine thousand and moves. Perhaps she should have checked the house out first...Bumps in the night, doors opening for her and if her pyjamas aren’t thick enough to keep spectral hands from exploring she wakes up with a need only a man should be able to fulfil.
Jenna convinces herself that she is imagining things; her beautiful old house has some creaks and drafts. She reads too much and her wishful thinking is starting to get the better of her. But when she puts the physical occurrences out of her mind, the dreams start. Hot men ravishing her, taking her to heights she had never felt before. After waking up extremely hot and bothered more than a few times, Jenna starts to wish that she hadn’t sworn herself off men forever.
A Ghostly Ménage wasn’t just about the extremely hot sex though – and boy was it hot – it was also quite a fun detective story. The suspense Langlais created as Jenna was on the verge of finding out who her ghostly lovers are was very well done as well as the feeling of dread one feels as Jenna invites the proverbial wolf to dinner in the form of evil witch Clarissa.
With the element of an awesome story on top of really hot sex Langlais still managed to fit in some superb characters. Jenna was an intelligent female lead, reacting realistically to each odd situation she was put into by her “housemates”, and yet still keeping a sense of calm and enough common sense to realise that although it was farfetched, something was happening right in front of her that she had to acknowledge.
Derrick and Mark are two hot alpha males and two very cheeky ones as well. They also have personalities that are at times so different and at other times so similar. Both caring, both fierce and both at times kind of quiet. Being twins you can’t really tell them apart but I am going to play favourites and say that I liked Derrick’s fierce pushy nature a little more than Mark’s shier one.
A Ghostly Ménage was yet another reinforcement to me that Eve Langlais has a gift for both words and hot stories. A Ghostly Ménage was a mixture of hot sex, multi-dimensional characters an extremely interesting plot.
"A Ghostly Menage" Kindle Edition by author Eve Langlais. My Rating: 4 Stars!
Derrick, Mark and Jenna.....
I am so glad I came across this fun, witty, sexy story. This is definitely a seasonal reread for me! "A Ghostly Menage" helped put me in the Autumn/Halloween mood. Another positive note ...this is an Eve Langlais book. She is such a great author if you love paranormal romantic suspense.
Derrick and Mark are two yummy, dominant werewolves. They are cocky and arrogant and used to getting anything they want. Unfortunately, so is a certain nasty witch. And when Derrick and Mark defy her request to mate with her, she curses them into a ghostly, miserable, lonely existence. With no way to break the curse, they are doomed to ghostly imprisonment in their own home.
Jenna wants to start over away from the city, her less than moral friends, and the ex-boyfriend who cheated on her with those very so-called "friends." Jenna buys a repossessed house from a bank in a small town. She is determined to make a new life here in the small town, in her new home despite the fact that townspeople claim the house is haunted, that the previous owners just disappeared. Well, Jenna doesn't believe in ghosts.
Until she does.....
There are some strange things going on in the house. Jenna feels like something is off. So when she starts having explicit dreams of the previous owners, she has to wonder if there is any truth to the haunting rumors.
I won't say what happens because this story is so short. But it was fun, sexy and even erotic. I loved how Derrick, Mark and Jenna were able to interact despite the curse. I would have loved this story to be longer. Believe it or not this was my first romance involving ghosts and I definitely would like to read more.
A super quick, fun read. It took me just over an hour to finish, but I admit to skimming a bit. It's a double paranormal with werewolves and ghosts. A w/bitch named Clarissa curses two brothers, Derrick and Mark, by turning them into ghosts until they agree to bond with her which would give her more power to wield over the local coven. They refuse her year after year, until pretty and curvy Jenna buys their empty house. They recognize her as their mate and are desperate to make contact with her...in more ways than one.
This was an okay short read, but I think at the end of the day I'm just not into ghost stories. It's hard to get my dose of possessive alpha male when the males in question are...misty.
Also, Jenna annoyed me a lot with her "giggling" and "snickering." I can't stand the word snicker...unless in reference to a candy bar...
It's a cute short story but I'd like to have seen a little more denial before just blanket acceptance and a little less instalove. I'd like a little more character development and a reminder that even when they don't like the person the police still investigate missing people. Overall though it was okay.
For a ghostie one not really what I expected, probably wouldn’t count it as ghosts either. It was different, enjoyable with plenty of sex but enough story to compensate. I liked all three characters and that it was multiple POV.
This is a novelette of the erotic version and as I’ve said many times, it has to be difficult as an author to pack a good story punch into 60 pages or less. Yet that’s exactly what this author does. You’ve got ghosts and werewolves and witches all packed into this story and you have a small bit of character build up mixed in. Top it off with a really good story, complete with a mega bitchy villain. Bake it all up with some super hot sex scenes and this recipe is complete!
Even though this is an *older* ebook, I just discovered it and this author. I’ll be back for a lot more. You won’t be sorry if your erotic tastes lead you into the meange category or even if you are just wondering what it could be like. This is an excellent place to start.
What I liked: The werewolf twins, Derrick and Mark, are fun and series all at the same time. Bad and badder. Naughty and naughtier. I liked that about them and I think Jenna liked that as well. The eroticism was there while not be overpowered with sexual acts that might turn some people off. The edge was stepped on nicely. I particularly loved the dreamwalking scenes.
What I disliked: Some of the sex scenes seemed a little forced. I realize that with a short story that might be a given, but maybe one less sex scene or maybe longer sex scenes of the ones already in play.
Forget ghosts with rattling chains, try dealing with ones who like to grope:
Best friends and werewolves, Derrick and Mark learned the hard way not to piss off a witch. Eve Langlais is my go-to author when I need a quick PNR/smut fix. This novella is a classic, sexy & funny Eve Langlais tale featuring two cocky males and - you guessed it - a hot menage and a HEA. Would have liked a little more witchy drama after what she put them through, though...
I was first introduced to Ms. Langlais' work when I read, Lucifer’s Daughter (Liquid Silver Books), which I enjoyed immensely. So, I was quite eager to read her latest release, A Ghostly Ménage, and I’m so glad I did.
It's a completely unique story and sucked me in immediately. Not only does it have an wild adventure with dangerous moments, humor that I simply enjoy, but the HOT sex scenes left me chasing after my husband. It's very difficult to write a complete story in only 59 pages, but Ms. Langlais has done just that.
If you enjoy light-hearted paranormal romance with two hunky werewolves that make you drool, sex that definitely comes with an r-rating, then this book is for you!!!
This is a novella about two werewolves who get cursed by a powerful witch and are sent to Limbo. Years later Jenna buys their house, not knowing that they still reside there. The guys find out that she is their mate which puts an extra urgency in figuring out how to get their bodies back before the 'nasty' witch comes back for her annual check on them.
Although this is a novella it is a full story and has some humorous parts to it as well as parts that will raise the temperature.
Call my contrary - I liked how they got their bodies back but what followed just seemed... I don't know, too easy.
Another entertaining book by Eve Langlais though, I certainly do enjoy her work.
Sweet story about 2 werewolves stuck in limbo because of an evil witch who end up finding their mate while ghosts. Their efforts to contact her and free themselves are light-hearted and erotic. The story was short but fun to read.
MFM menage novella book that I picked up as a deal - fun and enough of a story to make it not all about the sex. I usually depend on Ms. Langlais because she can give me some satisfying sexy scenes and some funny bits, and I wasn’t disappointed.
I have owned this book for years and it was lovely to reread it in the TANGLED HEARTS box set. I had forgotten how much of a super quick, fun and enjoyable read it was. I never expect or get less from this author. Derrick and Mark are two hot alpha males who have been cursed. They are cocky and arrogant and used to getting anything they want but when they refuse to do what an equally arrogant witch wants, they get cursed. With no way to break the curse, they are doomed to a long lonely ghostly imprisonment in their own home. Every year Clarissa comes back and makes them the same offer and every year they decline. Being twins they are alike but have different personalities and in other ways so similar. Both are caring, fierce, protective and at times calm and quiet. Derrick’s is more pushy in nature too Mark’s shier one. When Jenna buys the house and moves in they realise she is their mate and attempt to contact her by any means they can. Jenna has had enough of being lied to and cheated on. Finding her boyfriend has slept with both of her ex-best friends she buys a house in a small town to get away and lick her wounds. Not believing in ghosts she is sure surprised when mark and Derrick make themselves know to her. Loved the ending Derrick and Mark are two hot alpha males who have been cursed. Another fun paranormal romance by the enimitable Eve Langlais. A horny witch after two wolf-shifters doesn't take kindly to being turned down- again. So she casts a spell trapping them in Limbo. Neither alive nor dead they are stuck. Until their house is auctioned off and a lone female takes it over. Then the fun really begins! The sex is scorching and the men are hot. What's a girl to do? A stand-alone, A Ghostly Menage will get your engine revving!
This is my first time reading a threesome romance. I find it H-O-T like I am seeing it clearly in my head. Eve Langlais writing never fails to make me laugh. I really like the humor of this book.
It is easy to read, that you can finished reading it in one sitting.
Buying a house over the Internet does not prepare Jenna for the other occupants in the house. How would sexy, alpha pair werewolf ghosts let their new roommate know they are around? This sexy little novella is certainly a fun read.
Loved Derrick, Mark, and Jenna’s story! Jenna’s disbelief, the unraveling of the spell, and the sexy-fun-times made the book speed by. I’m hoping that someday the author will revisit this town, maybe with a story of Jenna’s new witch friend?
This is a quick and fun read about a woman who doesn't know what she's getting into when she buys an abandoned - or is it? - house in the middle of almost nowhere. I liked the author's writing style, so I wouldn't mind checking out more from her.
2020 ruined my reading pleasure and I am still having attention issues in 2021. I really enjoy short novels now and appreciate the authors that can pull them off well. Fun read.
this was just plain dumb, and a no-no for me. why they had to be brothers? this is so fucked up, jeez.
I was just gathering a bit of courage to write anything here without raging all through the review. I'm failing. So, forgot-her-name just moved to town because her ass of ex was sleeping around. I think, I don't remember if that was the actual reason, sorry. she bought this huge mansion for a trifle and thought not of it. after that, she goes around town talking to people, but no one wanted to get much closer to her because some bad shit was happening to the house. ghosts to be exact. and there is when the story picks up. the werewolf brothers were cursed by an evil witch oh gosh poor things! to become ghosts and never leave the house! I don't know what I was thinking when I thought it would be a good idea to read this therefore they had to seduce her to be freed of the spell. Look, I'm well aware the books I usually read are not prime quality but this is going to another level. I did like the book a bit, it was quick and enjoyable except for the incest the dumbness is there to be seen but it's not that bad. So, after this mess, I made my final thoughts are: 1) no-no for the brothers having the same mate, it is strange. 2) Eve Langlais delivered well, I wasn't expecting anything more and nothing less of the book. 3) I'll keep my rating at 2 because of the incest and the stupidity of the plot.
