Shawl edited Bloodchildren: Stories by the Octavia E. Butler Scholars (2013). They coedited Strange Matings: Science Fiction, Feminism, African American Voices, and Octavia E. Butler (2013).

wow, not to compare the two but I would put this on the same level of real world uncomfortable-...ness that P. Djeli Clark brings.
Taking a real life event of person and not only bringing to light their acts but also building magical realism into the heinous acts.
